Birthday
Special day
Day we reckon as special
Deviate from normal
Indulge in celebration
Spotlighting attention
None in Nature ever celebrates
All perform their usual duties
Stars, Sun, Moon, Trees, Rivers, Hills
All Wonders, none yearns for wishes
Birth, Death ends of same spectrum
Life in between is real celebration
Celebrate moments with gratitude
Wish well, help others gain altitude
Birthday
Just another day

See your Intuition
Smell your Potential
Touch your Emotions
Taste your Experience
Unbox true calling
Harvest Greatness Internally
Set boundaries
Keep toxic persons, place outside
Optimise energy, resources, time
Scale up ideas, self-belief
Set realistic goals
Achieve with passion, conviction
Harvest Greatness Externally

No Tree
is possessive of its own fruit
When ripe, tree lets it go
If plucked, it doesn't stop
It weathers all weathers
till it looses life
to calamity or deforestation
No human
should be possessive of Knowledge
Knowledge is akin to fruit of one's effort
Let it go, share fully, half-way is unlike tree
Absorb criticism see good in it
Nurse quest, gain wisdom
Serve humanity, till life departs

I once wished your praises to pen
O in our exclusive love den,
But most of such dreams—nine of ten,
Oh, buried were ere they began.
Poems are now bereft of words,
Our den, nestled by no more birds,
Before blossoming died have buds,
There’s no alibi to meet you.
I tried to distill me from me,
To filter my fair will from me,
And go uphill along with you,
Alas, it’s too late to meet you.
There’s darkness under a lamp
All undergrounds far too damp,
Now that I’m used to my camp,
It’s too late O to meet you.
I once wished brightness of Sun,
All shadows in life to shun,
From very Self I now run,
It’s too late O to meet you.
Flowers have lost old fragrance,
From steps hast gone usual dance,
Betwixt us two, no romance,
Far too late O to meet you.
I still carry old tuneless harp,
Old memories no longer sharp,
With life’s mixed-up woof and warp,
I wish no more to meet you.

Zebras
are bestowed
Black-n-white
striped coats
by Nature
to help them
confuse predators
keep horse flies away
But, it also makes them
more vulnerable
most recognisable
mammal even
from long distance !
Humans
are not bestowed
with unique identity
which can stand out
Humans have to earn
their own Stripes of
Character, Values,
Integrity, Sincerity
to be recognisable
irrespective of distance
Humans
have picked up idea
of Zebra Crossing
from dazzling distinctive
stripes of Zebra
to create safe
crossing of roads
and avert accidents
Humans
have not given
anything befitting
to Zebras in return
Humans have
put them in zoo
hunted them down
for exotic trophies !
Height of Irony
Zebra, wild animal
gives life saving idea
Human, tame animal
acts worst than animal
confines, kills Zebras

Refugees
Not aliens, once citizens
reduced to Stateless beings
Not because of own making
On run as find life simmering
due to anarchy set afire
by mindless Power bearers
Womb of their myopic terror
sans umbilical cord giving birth
to orphan refugees on Mother Earth
Refugees
ignored by
Heartless Progressive tribes
some busy in fun trip to Mars
some listed as Forbes billionaire
some relishing edible gold powder
some using gilted commodes,cars
while refugee families live in fear
in temporary abodes near border
sans food, clothes, clean water
Refugees
ensnared pawn in crossfire
beart brunt, while killers
of Refugee's Nationality
aren't probed, booked, jailed !
Lady Justice stands blindfolded
Scales tilted against Refugees
Sword not chopping cruelty gross
Killers of Refugee's identity
roaming scot-free with impunity
Refugees
man-made menace
pose a great challenge
Society should ensure
none is made to flee
as after effects are grave
Refugee can turn bad apple
rotting full basket of Humanity
shaming HIS Creativity
humiliating HIS Divinity

Imperfection
is Nature's way
Look at trees, rivers
mountains, valleys
None are perfect
All asymmetrical
Each varies from
other in own tribe
Imperfection
to perfection
fetish is weird
if it's fine tuning
of non-essence
Little Imperfection
with purposeful ending
will have podium landing

Hobby
is latent gene
Few explore
Many ignore
Hobby
not pastime leisure
it's undervalued
battery recharger
Hobby
of painting
I rekindled
in COVID
Painted 385 artwork
during lockdown
while world was
grumpy of isolation
Painted from
Two hospital wards
Leaving Doctors amused
Never finding me scared
Hobby
Identify, Cultivate
When busy to core
Handy when you retire
Hobby
Remember
best antidote
to Alzheimer

Backbencher Teachers pain
Not all dimwits and vain
Real life, celebrity genes in vein
Adept user of Left, Right Brain
For pranks often punished
Outside class, when I stood
Am not stupid, mind brooded
Am Polymath, briefly muted

Seed dies to give birth to tree
Tree yields fruit, fruit carries seed
Seed - Tree - Fruit - Seed
Cycle consummates
Nature legacy elongates
Death at one stage
introduces identical Life
Keeping divine design intact
Humans do not die
while bringing in new life
Gives birth, nurses, nurtures
New one bears same physicality
Not necessarily Human Values
Sinners kick out from saintly womb
Human Legacy Tree worst than Nature's Tree
Pious sperm catapulting in Criminal human

Eyes closed
Eyes inwards
Thoughts drifted
Let them pass by
No reaction
No evaluation
Just Aware
As witness
Kept gaze on
Chakra points
Felt energy moving
Tried coherence
Between Mind-Heart
Tried to synchronise
Thoughts of Mind
With Hearts Feel
Felt Heartbeats
Felt I am alive
Transported
In bliss Garden
Felt like staying there
But Mind revolted
Opened Eyes
But did not move
Unwise to drop
Meditative state abruptly
Gradually descended
Amidst Earthly objects
Felt more calm
Found all same as me
Oneness in all

Fantasy ...
Farmer chills
even on heap of chillies
After all, chilles are his babies
he nursed, made it ready for dishes
Harvest joy, no less than a winner
Time to voyage in blissful orbiter
Not as a toiling Farmer
But as a harvesting Emperor
Reality ...
Though deity of food, fodder
Farmers, unaware of own future
Will crop be meager or bumper?
Will his efforts satiate hunger of poor?
Hail Deity of arable land treasure
Prioritise resolving issues of farmer
Else, Deity may curse in different manner
May quit farming, trigger epidemic hunger

Oh, poor heart, why are you in so much pain?
Why do you take this heart ache, when someone who you know is in pain.
Someone's sleepless nights, someone's despair,
The heart bleeds when fate punishes someone so unfair.
Although people know and sympathize with the misery,
the helping hands, close friends and relatives vanish in a hurry.
Oh lord, how can I ignore such pain even when I am struggling to survive?
The poor heart will feel better thinking it helped someone's will to survive.
Whether happy or unhappy, I sing Narasinh Mehta's song,
"One who is human, knows the pain of others,
Does good to others who are in misery,
and does not let pride enter his or her mind"
Narasinh Mehta – 17th Century Indian poet
