Make Up One Poems | Examples

Premium Member Three in One

If you wanted three things, laughter, imagination, and wonder,
but could only ask for one,
you could ask for something wild.
You could ask for a child.

Or, say you had three New Year's Resolutions,
but could on make one.
If you were me
(which I happen to be)
I would promise to first take care of me.
My other goals follow, making three.

Then, I could better enjoy each friend,
and I would be kind to them in the end.
Those two are my other goals.
Together three make up one whole.
What needs most attention is my back,
so, I must sort through skilled practitioners and quacks.

the rain starts to fall

Father waters he'll
hold ~ I swear it's gospel truth
chicken little's right

pour cold water on
should stop fights with you ~ but not
all sayings perfect

uncharted waters
~ idea map for ships to
follow make-up one

be water off a
duck's back ~ finger pointing an
axe to grind slander

blood is thicker than
water ~ our family line
has drawn our pure blood

The sweetest voice I ever heard
Belongs to you, pretty Bluebird
Someday will you sing for me?
My name sung to a melody
That you make up, one all your own
That's just for me and me alone
Vanilla rose would be its scent
The Kiss its art equivalent
If you do, through happy tears
I'll love you for a thousand years
And yours I'll be until the day
My final breath takes me away

Misunderstanding Planets

Cognitive ability beyond educated theory

The strive to know, the strive to grow

People like planets, grouped into galaxies
Knowledge constantly streaming, truths and fallacies

Misunderstanding turns into conflict
Religion tried to solve this, the results have been... mixed

Silly planet people don't they know that many galaxies make up one universe?
I know this message is mostly ignored but I will never cease to sing this verse
