Lovelessness Poems | Examples

YESTERNIGHT, BENEATH THE MOONLIGHT

Like a bird freed from a cage
I felt the liberating touch of age.
As I danced beneath the moonlight
My troubled mind took flight
Shedding worries and endless plight.
I was free, free as a cloud in the sky.

As a lovelessness kid growing up
Life and all the goodies it offer just suck.
We man up as kids under the moonlight
We bond until the stars fade and leave the moon shining.
My friends and I danced through the night
The moonlight battled our worries, making us whole.

Then, our dance under the moonlight
Was truly a delight.

Farewell, Love

Gone are attempts at being steady,
I've exhausted my efforts to please.
Strength has run on low then empty,
My heart requests a permanent leave.

I've sheltered all your infidelities,
Smiled harder to avoid inner pain,
Concealed your dubious insecurities,
Shocked to reveal I'm not insane.

Contemplation in the shower,
Ring stationed on the kitchen counter,
The last letter to my longest lover,
'I doubt you'll ever find another...'

Inlethyards Romaniem

the many things we forget
that we didn't know...
it was still summer for us,
the assassins were far away
with his envelopes and phone calls.
you're tired of saying no,
while I stumbled
in every shadow that swallowed us alive.

the universe shouldn't be that big
if we can't handcuff
the stars to our destiny,
because we suffer in layers
and the levels of anguish
work like a spiral
that descendant goes to hell,
where pain and torture build
our weakness and iniquity.

lovelessness also obeys this rule
and the only talent we have left
is the dissimulation,
that can be judged on how we resist
to everything that tramples and crushes us,
while we falsely bloom
like an old and tired tree,
whose branches no longer have flowers and fruits
to offer or see.

A Loner's Diary

Dear diary!
One who bears the brunt of my adversity,
And my misery, you condone with affability.
There and back to make an affix,
Of an apparently gifted anomalies.

Night so long and yet so short
Threatening with its dreadful silence thought.
Providence, my heart sought,
From my "seems-unending strait",
Which hath made me desolate.

The day, I wish, ceases to break
Its torment, I could make a clean break.
For obscured I am in obviousness,
And lost I am in no one's guess,
'Cos my lovelessness hath made me less.

My seamy life, I shall lay to rest
For I need own a love nest.
Whence from forlornness, I will be harboured
And to its grace, I'll pledge my flesh and blood
But with my diary, I'll move abode.

Gloria

She heaves in doubt
The emptiness in her gaze
Lets her hair down
Not full enough
She sighs
Tresses tossed aside
Much like inner beauty
The agony of imperfection
A grand deception

What shapes her?
God or society
Testosterone was
Afterall, a divine idea
Leaving Gloria behind
Searching for a magic mirror
Longing for utopia
In a barren marital land

Her stalker lurking
"Is she crazy?"
Bedazzled beyond repair
Much ado about
Small details
"Picture perfect", he sighs
Love and obsession
A blurry line

Hubby walks in
A heartless peck
The pangs of lovelessness
"Can we have some fries, honey?"
Gloria,the temple
Body or soul, she wonders
Earthly goddess to one
French fry factory to another.

Mew Nexican Might

Mew Nexican Might

This might not make sense
This isn’t even close to the end of my rope
This love might be lost in your rinse
Our presence is shattered as is remaining hope
Show me your strength
                 My callused queen
Show me your short ropes length
Tell me what those words even mean

Am I wishless?
                        Am I hopeless?
         We are lost causes,
We are indifference. We are lovelessness.
We are children of the plague.
We are nothing
Anymore.

end.

Cold Love

We can all read that the love will become cold
We can all see that what has been foretold
Is the world we live in now

We can be amazed that two thousand years ago
It was written where the world would go
It is the world we live in now

The love that is cold is from the brothers close
A bitter cup to swallow, a bitter poisoned dose
It is the world we live in now

We see selfishness
We feel loneliness
We see lawlessness
We feel lovelessness

As was sagely said
In the pages that I’ve read:

“To live up high with the saints we know,
Oh Lord, that would be glory,
But to live down here with the saints below,
Now that’s a different story!”

My Heart Goes On

When the angels of love are on strike
And the future looks bleak
When your love is absent
Casting me into the hands of torment
My heart cries, turning blue
Crying out for nobody but you.

When my love mountain becomes a valley
And I find myself in lovelessness alley
When my love stream stops flowing
And my love wind stops blowing
I run the lenght of the earth
Seeking your love's might.

When my fountain of love is cut short
And aloneness gives me a shot
When I look down the deep blue sea
And it appears it is coming for me
I grope around in despair
Hopefully longing to find protection in you.

When I'm being thrashed by lovelessness
And I'm held hostage by helplessness
When I can't find anyone to anoint my day
And I find myself drifting away
I close my eyes and spread my arms
Wishing you'll materialize in my arms.

When I look up to the sky
And see my wishes passing me by
When I'm abandoned and deserted by brightness
And I'm fiercely attacked by darkness
My heart goes on
Searching for you my sun.

Part Piously With No Bitterness

Elegy sung by cricket
When love transforms
To belligerent life.
Haywire of hedonist
Songs of passions cruelly abandoned
We turn antagonistic at each other
My lush heart throbbed.
Hatred and lovelessness
Monotony of pretensions
Precisely instigating
Love toils leaving no residue.
You stepped into tides
Tides so high, your mind
Musing exorbitant percussion
Stretch me and move along
Seasons change like a leaf falls
Hey, be honest when parting for good
No neighing swansong
It's time, part with no bitterness.

In Every Winter I Write

IN EVERY WINTER I WRITE

Every winter I write
Not to you
Let God forgive .

That day you told me
Of fence and fantasy
If life is kept in abeyance ,
If life is kept in my hands,
You'll not be the chosen one .

I look through kaleidoscope
Objects I see tantalize
Condescension of life
Tunnel of love and light .

Dark clouds invade sky
We grope out to find life
Or our space
Will be occupied
Byanother souls .

You speak of sprits
Their spaces and mobility
Visiting us often
To feel us
Our lovelessness
What will they think of us
Our life and theirs !!!

Loveless

Walking through the forest beyong the hills
in searching for a light.
There is no one in sight,
just a white blanket of silence.

The resonance of my thoughts,
that bounces back every second.
The truly lonely feeling,
Of what is ought to be searched for.

Why do I feel so loveless
in the lonely night of tonight?
The sound of dead birds singing
comes to the whirlwind of praying.

The hope to go back where I was,
The hope of going back to the days.
These thoughts melt between my hands,
and cannot be touched upon again.

As I continue to walk down the forest,
The forest beyond the hills,
I can hear a small bird chirping,
on the tree in the woods.

What a truly melodic sound!
A sound that sounds so splendid.
The lovelessness that hung in the air
the sadness of the world.

Maimed

Your curiosity pulled
the poisoned dirk of loneliness
from the deepest chamber
of my quaking heart.
With steady hand
pressed to the open wound,
the healing process began
as wonder turned to love.

After washing away
festering insecurities
then wrapping me
in the gauze of your embrace,
you breathed into me
new desire to subsist.
Your devotion became
an unguent balm.
Kissing my heart
made it well.

Now I wear an untoughened scar
capable of growing stronger
through days and nights
of togetherness or gaping again
should the straight-bladed
dagger of solitude
be repositioned.
I tremble,
hold my breath,
in frightened anticipation,
loathing the thoughts
of lovelessness
cutting through me
again.
