Premium Member You

My mind travels as rain slowly falls.

It washes memories of you to where they wait.

Presents gather wishing them well with hope and joy.

But peace on earth also meet guiding me home.

I loved you even during the frost of winter.

And under that tree of my youth I see all of you.

You wished GOD to gather me like kindling waiting to be lit.

I had my own plan and it was prayed for too.

For Roberta

I'm weary from the journey

Learned my lessons well

It's complete now and we have both moved

Love no longer swims upstream for us

No rain in the forecast

The sky is clear and the Sun

You live inside me with the lessons

I mail them to all I meet

Premium Member Dr Martin Luther King Jr Dream, Hope and Inspiration

Dr. Martin's dream is a dream for many generations
Past, present and future… Life is about hope, compassion
Love, freedom and justice. It's not asking for too much
Because human lives are precious and priceless. As such
We were all created in the same manners. No one got
More, no one deserved less. There are three levels in the lot
Birth, live and death. We all must go through the same process
Health is paramount and wealth is secondary or temporary
We all will leave earth one day, soon. Hoping we're all blessed
To remain on earth for a long time. A dream is a reality
That will or will not come depending on the dedication
On the focus and on the resiliency of the participants
We all dream for a better future for our families, friends
Even for perceived enemies. Hope is in the air, like flying ants
Wishing to land on a fertile sugar cane field. Dr. King, our Hero
Is a man with many names: Dr. Martin, Dr. King, a great fighter
An activist, a superman, a martyr, etc. He was the older brother
That we dream of being with us in time of trouble, at a low
Point of our lives. Dr. King was an amazing inspiration to a world
Filled with backstabbers, hypocrites, racists, maniacs and criminals
Dr. King's dream is well and alive for many generations. Animals
Will never rule the universe. Human beings cannot be obviously curled
By a bunch of so-called right wing individuals. Common sense will
Always prevail. Love will always win. The racists and the haters ‘will
Shall fail. Positive attitudes will always win. Brother Martin's dream
Will live forever. All men and women were created to enjoy the ice cream
Equally, to be free to fight against unfairness, selfishness, racism, bigotry
And injustice. Dr. King's dream and inspiration will live forever, for eternity.

P.S. I write what I want to write about and say what I want to say. I am a free and fair man.

The Orphan

Their candle faded
With no trace of their way.
I sat and waited,
Completely swallowed in darkness,
Wishing they could return
And stay.

Even dogs bark to mock my loneliness,
My most grievous emptiness.
At least they have bones to eat—
What do I?
With stones in my path turning to mountains,
Lies and bedbugs my only company.
Maybe the birds
That some evenings land on their graves
And sing me towards sleep
Before returning to their loved ones.
This is where the mosquitoes pick up the melody,
Having their supper
From a few drops of water I have managed,
Waiting to hide
When the morning sun drives them back
To my precious grass-thatched mansion.

It is so sweet to be home,
A home rarely trodden,
Filled with the memories of daddy's voice
And mommy's praise for her beloved son.
A compound cleaned and washed by the tears
Of a single child,
A community two-legged rat
That only God sees a man in him.
His holy book remembers me every Sunday,
While the church pews listen to all farts of riches,
But no ear goes home with the preaching.

The world is green and must be green,
For my stomach is green.
I only see blood from my own,
Meat from my own flesh,
And yes, the pets—those dead pets
Given to me on lucky days—
I roast them for a quick boil.
My stomach may quarrel, but the diet
Must enter.
When the inside war erupts,
I must jump to the bush.
Rags can't afford medicine anyway,
So a few strain pushes and leaves to clean
Must do.

I saw my president on a flying paper,
And my envy
Drives me to the class window
Whenever I am able.
But I must dodge the teachers' chalk
And pupils' shoes every time.
Education is the key, but the key holder
Must be the rasp and clink of money.
So I end up in my leaking mansion.
Every day I try.
Now I am an illustration of failure,
Every parent's disgrace.
The graves remain silent,
But over them I cry.

Garden Fence Slam

All of a sudden
It feels somehow ok to say i love you now
Whilst praying for the dying
Hoping death forgives live mistakes and misguided hates

The Rushes blow the breeze
While Pollen makes my eye's water
and nose sneeze
As a lawnmower scythes through woolen summer grass

The garden fence that keeps me up
at night when it rattles
Though looking at it i won't fix
Just another reason to complain
Like the noisy neighbours and barking dog

The fog never lifts on meadow field
In fact if anything i am causing it
You can't teach an old dog new tricks
The weather can't change it's spots

Drumming on a Toy Piano
Underneath cobwebs on filty curtains
Wishing to open unopened presents
Where the wrapping paper means more than the actual gift
Because it belongs to someone else

Sometimes love is like leading the blind
And everybody hurts
When others hurt you

So quiet
Shallow
Desolate

Shhhhhh baby don't cry

It's ok

Where getting out of here

Sad is all our yesterday's

We have paid our Due's

The Bible told us so

Premium Member BABY SHOWER

When the world around you disappoints…when on our leaders you begin to sour
If you want to change your attitude…at least for the moment…attend a baby shower.

That’s exactly what we did yesterday…and it was a wonderful place to be
as we prepared to welcome our great-granddaughter
into our diverse extended family.

It’s amazing how before she’s even born…before her parents take her for a test drive
before we’ve even met her…she’s already changed our lives.

From the moment we heard the news of this life Trista and Damien were creating
it’s astonishing how our lives have changed…as we sit on the sidelines…waiting

All the happiness she’s brought into our lives…all the joy into the world
while still inside her mothers womb…before her life’s unfurled.

Because when a woman is about to have a baby…life changes…
this truth is ironclad…
as she immediately becomes a mother and her husband becomes a dad.

From here there is a domino effect of changes…one day their baby will see
as people of all ages become grandparents, nieces, nephews…uncles, aunts
or great-grandparents like Deborah and me.

As I watched all the people at the shower…and saw their smiles
I thought…this is really sweet…
how everyone has already fallen in love…with someone we’ve yet to meet.

All these people wishing Trista and Damien well…
making it abundantly clear
there is a loving family waiting patiently….for their daughter to appear.

Who have seen the seed of a daughter begin to grow
and now….happily anticipate the flower…
who came together to celebrate…at a family baby shower.

Where love, friendship, family, and caring for one another….
were in the room for all to see….
Where for a moment our world was exactly the way
we hope the world outside that room will be.

Just melts my heart

~Wishing You A Very Happy And Most Wonderful Valentine's Day! ~

I Let Flowers Grow In The Saddest Parts Of Me

I let flowers grow in the saddest parts of me
And so my heart has a tiny hole, where the roots remain
The grass surrounds it along with the veins
There's no sign of daisies, no sign of dandelions or sunflowers
But the black rose that grows, poking the tissue with it's thorns
As if the rose needs my wounds to grow, it keeps me bleeding

I walk towards your house like i did before
The path hasn't changed much but i can't find a shred of hope
It's like the sun never shines on your side of the town
This used to be the brightest corner, now i walk different roads wishing it'll all fade down

I know, i think too much about you
And you're in all of my proses
But have you ever thought, maybe it's not you but what you did
The time we spent is now frozen, behind glass and pages burnt to ash
Maybe you'll never realize, i loved you for you
But you never could and i crossed the road
The bridge between us is a bridge I'll walk through, in cold
Because the warmth i needed is the warmth that you stole.

Motionless Shantelle

Motionless Shantelle
(The name Shantelle derives from the French meaning “stone, stony place)

This is the story of girl called Ashima,
a beautiful Yi maiden and her beloved Ahei
Behind mountains in her own land of Shilin
beneath the moon, beyond an azure sky
yet another love story in twist of stars
captivated a rose to a jagged numbness,
to a human rock frozen in Forest of Stones*,
hard and strong forever, unmoved, unchanged.

Shimmering glassy eyes in shred of light,
her blank stare still writhing in pain,
her tears perhaps, washed away in rain.
Feelings dont touch, a dungeon remains.
A soul of stone, motionless Shantelle,
drowned deep, in her own wishing well.
A kerchief on her head, basket on her back
Ashima, the legend, still stands there.
awake in music of a dear lovesong,
tethered in solitude , a life so unfair.

*
Stretched in China's Yunnan province, the giant limestone pillars of the Shilin Stone Forest are sometimes called the "first natural wonder of the world," carved by rain, wind and seismic activity for millions of years.
According to the legend of Ashima, one slender rock is actually the frozen figure of a young woman. When Ashima refused to marry the village leader’s son, Azhi, he decided to kidnap her. To win her back, Ashima’s love, Ahei, challenged Azhi to a singing contest. After 3 days and 3 nights of singing, Ahei finally won the contest and Ashima was released. But Azhi later drowned Ashima in a flood. She is believed to protect the Sani people, but more than that, she serves as a symbol of the power to choose who you marry, and of happiness.

In the still, cool silence
Of a summer’s evening
I lift my eyes to the skies
And see the moon reflecting
All my thoughts and cares
As the stars twinkle, laughing
Like a caress to my soul

In the gentle kindness
Of a summer’s softly lit night
There is a echo of hope
Drifting on the edge of my
Thoughts, creating tones
Of crimson whispers
At the heart of my poem

In the quiet joys of a moment
That radiates with breaths
Of light and inspiration, tender
As the pale rays that drift
Calming the nocturnal blows
Of wind, so feathery agile
Like a sigh against naked tear

In the hues of ebony darkness
Waves of compassion, bright
Sympathetic to the blackness
That murmurs like a brook
Calming, resting in a faith
More honest and true
Than any dream could trace

In the night’s contemplations
Peaceful caresses touch
Upon blessings so warm and rich
They flame like the passion
That rises on the inside of a heart
Who knows what it is to love
With all the feeling alive, assured

In the mystery of a vision
Rising high, like a bird on wing
Wishing and flowing and dreaming
Of all the colors and creations
God has blessed all our emotions
With… here in the moment
We can appreciate the brilliance

Radiating across the soul – His muse

Living This Lie

People seem to hide their problems for a moment
I need some time on my own to kneel down and repent
Can’t wait till it’s all over, when this jealousy fades away
For now, let the sorrowful rain shower upon me this sun-shining day

I’m very lonely in my own skin and I have nowhere to go
So sorry for feeling the way I feel…I just want you to know
That I will be alright, as long as I have someone by my side
Catch my tears before they collide upon the cold floor…in the shadows, I hide

Nothing seems right anymore – I guess I am worthless to you
I need some motivation and some confidence along the way
Can’t stand dealing with me right now, but I’ll live with what I’m going through
No one sees me or mirrors my pain…God, just take it all away

Is there hope to find or am I the one, growing blind?
I feel like a loser when I find myself being left behind
I know, you don’t have to tell me – I was always meant to be a failure from the start
Born to be a winner in spirit, but I’ve lost it all…my faith towards you was my favorite type of art

I need to smile and laugh some, but somebody got to give me some love
I just don’t know what to do, living this lie that is below or above
Acknowledge the words I utter and graze in your own maze
People tell me, “Don’t worry…you’re just going through a tough phase”

How come God’s timing isn’t the same as ours? Sorry to question You so
The thoughts in my head are bewildering…wishing for Your gracious glow
I light up like a computer screen would, but there’s nothing to stare at
Just a worn-out mat, getting stepped on several times by heartless individuals…growing independent like a black cat
