I Let Flowers Grow In The Saddest Parts Of Me

I let flowers grow in the saddest parts of me
And so my heart has a tiny hole, where the roots remain
The grass surrounds it along with the veins
There's no sign of daisies, no sign of dandelions or sunflowers
But the black rose that grows, poking the tissue with it's thorns
As if the rose needs my wounds to grow, it keeps me bleeding

I walk towards your house like i did before
The path hasn't changed much but i can't find a shred of hope
It's like the sun never shines on your side of the town
This used to be the brightest corner, now i walk different roads wishing it'll all fade down

I know, i think too much about you
And you're in all of my proses
But have you ever thought, maybe it's not you but what you did
The time we spent is now frozen, behind glass and pages burnt to ash
Maybe you'll never realize, i loved you for you
But you never could and i crossed the road
The bridge between us is a bridge I'll walk through, in cold
Because the warmth i needed is the warmth that you stole.
