Solely solar: Truly toddler Sun crawling
on canvas of Cosmos five billion years ago
as Proto Star formed from stellar plasma of Cosmic charisma.

        Spinning Sun with Solar System
revolving around center of Milky Way Galaxy.
       Fantastic but not fantasy.

Sun Flare in glare, Sunspots to spot in variance.
Sun Corona outermost arena to mesmerize.
Sunrise to Sunset showering spectacular surprise.

Sun scattering rays cascading in opulence,
supplying energy, initiating Life on Earth,
to grow flora and fauna in diversity,
carrying evolution on Earth in beast and beauty,
displaying hues and tunes in Nature on smart reality.

      On human conception,
Sun, a massive fiery whirling ball of burning hydrogen
Another five billion years left to exhaust its fuel.
It will follow the life cycle of an ordinary star
tending to be a Red Giant ending in White Dwarf,
obeying Chandrasekhar limit: Its limited credibility.

             YET!
     Startling fact to assimilate:
     Sun with its solar system,
      a nano item
holding a trivial position in Universe,
comparable to a tiny sand particle in Sahara Desert.

       THEN!
Where to find human blessed by energy of Sun?
       Seems a fun.

Creative Madness

We marvel
At the genius of madness
Gush over its select few
Brilliant stars that shine a bit brighter
Through eyes that see the unseen.

Their talent unbridled and raw
Craftsman of unparalleled weaving
They fill our minds and hearts
With laughter, wonder and awe.

We applaud them—we adore them
Their gifts set our souls afire.
They, our privileged artisans
Their serenity often ruffled, and disturbed.

We witness their surging creativity
But is there a cost to shine so bright?
Is there a debt bought for such privilege?
Or is madness the price we assert.

To us it seems the noise grows louder and louder
Until their peace is drowned out.
Perhaps the work of “tortured geniuses”
Awakens spurts of madness that create a space to be filled.

Are they attempting to tame their ferocious mind

By falling into an addict’s bubble?
Committing destruction against their souls
Loneliness is their constant companion.

Helpless, we watch them, predicting their demise
Watch them spiral into decline
Spinning through addiction and struggle
Until they succumb to a grave end.

Too soon,
we say,
They’ve gone much too soon
Our mantra for these lost souls.

Inspiration sighs
For yet another white dwarf star
Still we honor their creativity, their work
Long after they have gone.

THE BEGINNING

Cosmos once void, all around emptiness.
                   In vacuum Big Bang exploded.
                   Vibrant Cosmos created in nanoseconds.
                    Space and Time started journey.

Gaseous clouds forming stars twinkle, burn fuel
                 Nova, Super Nova, Nebulae, Galaxies
                 brightened in gaseous canopy.
Black holes, dark matter hid themselves
Quasars, Pulsars, Stars, Planets came up in succession.
Life and death of small star through Red Giant to White Dwarf.

              Trivial ordinary star is Sun.
Placement of Solar System in vast Universe
comparable to a sand particle in Sahara Desert.
Tiny Earth feels shy, not being salient

            Human race occupies trifling position
amidst diversity of Flora and Fauna on Mother Earth.
              Personal importance is ridiculous.
               Where am I?

God created, out of emptiness, the firmaments and the earth,
Matter strewn into cosmic void; galaxies of glorious yield,
Heaven’s Architect and Builder; Designer with purpose and worth,
By master plan hurled the world; site His love to be revealed.

Disorder reigned by order; organization thus in force,
Supreme maestro with peerless grace; directing with expressive hands,
Leads heaven’s angelic choir’s Hallelujah Chorus,
Moving toward crescendo, swelling as the universe expands.

Creative drama played out on void and empty cosmic stage,
Celestial bodies: Black Hole, White Dwarf, Great Red Spot, Asteroid,
Moons, circling in ballet pirouettes; vast worlds, performers engaged,
Under direction, creation’s playwright, The One Eternal God.

Creator’s masterpiece, amongst the collections of art superb,
Brilliant strokes beyond compare; array of hue from artist’s hand,
Surrounded by His countless loves, He flung and spun a special orb,
Earth for mankind, both deemed good; The Master’s comprehensive plan.

Male and female, created in God’s image, share His planet earth,
Mankind stands on terra firma; thankful for terrestrial home,
Gazing up in wonder and awe; by grace given eternal worth,
Earth, small cosmic space-size acre; no inkling the millions beyond!

Sensing the amazing night sky
Always gets me pondering why.
Each part of our solar system;
Taking stock so I don’t miss them.
Planets such as Venus and Mars
Appear larger than background stars.
With telescope, I more attune
To Jupiter’s many a moon.

I note the absence of moon on Earth;
Its presence yields stargazing dearth.
Sometimes on a very clear night,
I spot a man-made satellite,
Or a comet or shooting star;
In relative terms, not that far.
I, by the zoom telescope brings,
See Saturn and its frozen rings.

Beyond sun, moon, and planets nine,
To take in more wonders, I pine.
To see stars in their locations;
Part of galactic formations.
Constellations—people did try
To find pictures in the night sky.
Like Orion the Hunter’s bow,
Or Southern Cross in latitudes low.

Outer stars of Big Dipper’s bowl,
Merak and Dubhe play a role;
Point to Polaris, the north star,
On Little Dipper’s handle far.
Little Dipper—part of Small Bear;
Great Bear—Big Dipper is a share.
Cassiopeia’s W,
Its five stars are easy to view.

Galaxies made of many stars,
Like the Milky Way, which is ours.
Million-plus galaxies to see,
Andromeda and LMC,
Whirlpool, Tadpole, more it is said,
Like NGC Thirteen Hundred [1300];
Cigar, Pinwheel, Sombrero, too;
More listed in Galaxy Zoo.

Individual stars appear
Though from us many a light-year.
Sirius, with “Dog Star” nickname,
Brightest star in sky is its fame.
Alpha Centauri—three stars tight,
In night sky is the third most bright.
Red supergiant Betelgeuse,
Celestial star version of Zeus?

Other heavenly bodies’ roles,
Include nebula clouds, black holes.
Though white dwarf stars are near their end,
Heat energy they still expend.
Much unknown about universe;
Big Bang’s energy does disperse?
Novas, pulsars, neutron stars, and more;
There’s still a lot left to explore.

For as long as man’s been around,
He has gazed upward from the ground.
To behold that beyond his home,
Pushed by innate desire to roam?
Traveling space for 60 years,
In man’s thoughts, and at times, his fears.
On each clear night, some stop and stare,
To learn more about what’s out there.

Each Star Has a Pattern of its Own

Each star is a jewel set in its place
by the Creator of the universe.
His hand carefully cut each facet
to give each star its own identity.

Each star has its own color
red, blue, white, yellow.
Some have no color at all
only exist as brown dwarfs.

From birth to death, each star
has its own life cycle.
Some ending as black holes, white dwarf
or rapidly spinning neutron stars.

Each star as an individual, but
part of a whole.
Like a string of pearls
set on a gold chain.

We humans are like these
stars, created as individuals
by Gods wonderful hand.

We look up at the sky at night
There is so much to see
Planets, stars, and meteors
Then, past vision, what can be

The further back the light comes from
See deeper in the past
Worlds like ours have come and gone
Unlikely that they last

Our Earth is just a blink in time
Say just a speck of dust
Revolving with its molten core
We live here on the crust

The comets cruise our system
Held here by our sun
Some orbits go so far in space
We may not see that one

Our planets may be hot or cold
Gas or solid rock
It makes no difference in the end
As in their orbits lock

Mars there for the God of war
Venus there for love
Mercury for heat and speed
They wander up above

They take a spacing from the sun
Mercury, Venus, Earth
Mars, Jupiter and Saturn
All have different orbit girth

Uranus there, and Neptune
And with far too many jeers
Tiny Pluto scorches round
In just two fifty years

The constellations guide us
As we travel in the night
Guided to our destination
As an early caveman might

The supernova of the stars
When their life is done
Collapsing to a small white dwarf
Or huge red giant one

And so when we are dead and gone
Earth swallowed by the sun
Will those that follow wonder
If they follow anyone

Trance of Silence

Peaceful slumber engulfs my existence
my soul awakens in a tranquil silence
it floats away with waves leaving my body
a spirit astray guided by pristine breeze
that blankets my photons in a lit entropy
a silhouette I become in parallel universe
outlined by sublime molecules of supernova
I enter the black hole that leads me there
to the stagnant canopy of afar galaxies
a parched desert sleeps beneath my veil
I look for my displaced oasis of stars
I've been here in another incarnation
yet my memories hide in the dark
I touch a wall that collapses in void of
sand dunes basking in a silver impression
from a moon that never waxes or wanes
Oh! My universe at a standstill awaits
the answers I seek, the memories I keep
I listen to the silence of my soul
that reverberates a forgotten melody

A band of life shimmers from the white dwarf
sand dunes shiver beneath my shriveled feet
enchanted by a serene symphony I bridge dreams
ambrosial breeze orchestrates my tresses
meteor showers play violins in ecstasy
I watch it glide, a silhouette like me afloat
hesitant to reach my trembling shadow
the way it moves siphons away my fears
it brushes my halo with a known velvet touch
At last! You come in another universe
I've waited so long to pour my fantasies
we don't understand words nor do we need
I dip my fingers into your haloed silhouette
our shadows merge under luminescent showers
we move slowly and dance to the music
of sand dunes slipping into sandcastles
our silhouettes unite while we sleep afar
unaware of this union in a heavenly world
stars move in ripples on our drenched oasis

Then your shadow shivers and moves apart
is it time for this dream to end so soon?
The supernova strand engulfs me in a flash
Oh I wish to embrace you a little more
your silhouette nods to see me again
in another life from a yonder universe

I hear the acoustics as I enter my body
but your memories vanish in a cocoon of light
for me to find them again in another trance.
