Love of my life, don't break me down,
make me feel like I belong in the pound,
lift me back up, I will lift you up too,
both will feel better about what we do.
Heaven on earth is how we both feel,
common courtesy lends much appeal.
Easy to stop negative things I say,
it's only the hurt makes me write such a way.
A hug and a kiss is all I can say,
a moment of tenderness to keep hurt at bay,
I try and I try to show you I care,
tell you-you're handsome and I will always be there.
Your special spot is where I must lay,
to quell all the hurt put my pain away.
Tell me you love me kiss me goodnight,
if not on the lips it's still quite alright.
There is not much this lady needs,
hope and encouragement are words I will heed.
Romantic at heart we both admit -
yet we still wallow in our past sh**.
Am I wasting my time waiting for you to say
I love you and let's run away?
Put yourself in my place, and flip the script,
reality check could you handle it?
The thing about me and this I do know,
I do not want to do things alone on my own.
My companion in life should be by my side,
holding my hand as we go on this ride.
There is no worse thing than being alone,
a human needs contact in order to grow.
Being away it is alright as long as
I know you'll be back at my side.
Just kiss me goodbye, hug me and say,
"I love you and miss you when I am away."
Thank you Cody Lee
"The Dreams Follow"
We are on loop replay
sleeping to wake again,
morning, sunlit, shines
through the blinds,
sparkling dust columns
dancing in front of our eyes,
where each particle
plays its part alighting
in front of us bright
as diamonds pétillant,
spiralling forever spiralling,
the messengers dance
before our eyes
but we fail to comprehend
the poetry circling around us
like a water colour drip feeds
this bleeds into our day, a canvas,
we write away time
we write away
we write away
our time,
codes for dissemination
for those off page;
like an army of ants, words walk
in strange black lines over
everything, pinpoints scattered
with no relevant formation,
we are all abstract,
but there is meaning
in the contrast and
the story lines somehow
are connecting, connecting,
connecting like nights and days
all too fast,
the midday hour strikes
a chord, like spaghetti
we eat it up, fresh pasta
with basil, juicy tomatoes
crushed, the onions
are necessary,
purple and spanish,
the sweetest prose,
don’t forget the
paremesan,
cheese, we smile
like we are wasting away,
lunchtime matters the most
somehow, it’s a mark
in the middle road
we've come this far,
we stand, hesitating
to grab each other’s hand,
singular we know
we are inevitably alone,
we continue down the road
walking towards the detour;
evening fast approaches,
we close our eyes,
last prayers are thoughts
expressed to measure
where next we go
should we not wake;
that which we love
now safe, tucked away;
we measure our days
in nights of closure,
as if in the morning
there is no waking,
there is no morrow;
we roll over
we roll over,
the dreams
follow

Life is too short
Life is too short, not to say love you
I’ve lived life beside you everyday
But I could never get enough of you
Life is short
So short
To stand by and hate your sister or brother
I don’t even get to see my brother anymore
So quit acting like calling your sibling is a daring chore
Life is too short
We need to learn to love one another just a tad bit more
I love Whitney and my dogs
Thats who I do it for
Life is too short
Johnny short
You’re down with me at my cake day party
Be down with me in court
Life is midget short
Too short
To live without a plan
Life is too short
You should know where you stand
My Life is too short to constantly live in fear
Life is too short to barely making it through the year
My Life is too short
Not to do something new
Life is too short not to say I love you
Wasting time
Shortens life
Spending time
Studying other people
One's you don't care about
Wondering could you be like them
Succumbing yourself to doubt
Doing things
You never wanted to
I’ve lived life beside you everyday
But I could never get enough of you
Telling yourself
What you cannot do
Telling lies to yourself
Then saying that you never knew
Life is too short not to say love you
Questioning Life
Rather than
Trying to find out the answer on your own
Scolding at yourself
With a constant pity tone
If it didn't make you happy
Then it wasn't worth your time
I could never get enough of you
I’ve screwed fate and denied hate
Learn to adore
Don't fear what's beyond the shore
Don't cry during the night
Do it in broad daylight
So that someone will see
How much you are suffering
It's okay to hurt
Because your feelings come first
Learn to accept care
Remember to love your own share
Life is too short not to say I love you
When I was 14 I learned to appreciate being 5’2
Had to find happiness in myself
Before I found you
Where they can find you
Is right next to me
All 2 quarters and 5’3 of me
I’m already short
So when it comes to money you can’t short me
Time is money and money is time
And I have to make enough of both for those after and before me
Tuesday morning detectives at my door
In an instant life can get gory
Call my mother and tell her I love her
I’m glad I’m free to tell you this story
Its hard out here a shorty
Life’s short shorty
Oh... how heartless I was to think.
Set up a fine dinner for a feast on that eve.
Foods and drinks were flooded everywhere.
Feels like bounties have no ending.
Can someone even think of people who's starving that night?
Sleeping in a sidewalks with a plastic on their hands.
Asking for a piece of grace that we can't even share.
Looking into our eyes, kept blinded of selfish thing.
Then morning comes and see what's left.
A ton of leftovers chilled on a shelf.
Inside is waiting a group of eukaryotic organisms.
Deadly hunger for a feast to be rotten.
Is it quite dumb to imagine?
Wasting a spoon of blessings each day..
I hope everyone has a wonderful year,
May each plates in banquette be filled of wasted grace.
When the universe bleed
We all need to becareful
We all need to stop
Destroying
What we can't give
Yes we can't give no life
Why then do we keep
Wasting it
A question for all
In this quest
You will understand
The value of peace
Oh I sing I write
I weep I saw
I spoke I cry
Hoping humans can
Hear me
Cos when the universe bleed
It is only but a disaster
When the universe bleeds
We can't fight nature
So why do we keep trying
We can't live without nature
Still we pollute it fruits
Must we abuse life
To live
Are we not tired
Of difficulties of no sense
What more do we need to destroy
From nature
I fear yes I fear cos
We are not ready
when the universe bleed
Oh I sing I write
I weep I saw
I spoke I cry
Hoping humans can
Hear me
Cos when the universe bleed
It is only but a disaster
When the universe bleed
We cant touch the sun
We can't fight the water
When it rise
When can't stop the thunder
We can't beat the wind
We can't touch the fire
Either can our bones stand
The strikes of the rocks
Despite how wise we are
We can't try it
Dose that rise a meaningful
Reason that their is a point
We can't reach
Despite how high we go
So why all this forceful developments
A development of destructions
A large development of poverty
A development of pollution
I wonder why the universe
Will not bleed at last
Oh I sing I write
I weep I saw
I spoke I cry
Hoping humans can
Hear me
Cos when the universe bleed
It is only but a disaster.
Words don't cause hurt. Words have no true power.
Words can cause you to feel defeated but only if you allow it.
Call me every possible foul name that might come to your mind.
Insult the loss of a dear, departed loved one of mine'
Use your words to reflect and express all that you consider unkind.
It may work with others, but I pay it no mind.
Besides,
When ever anyone is rude to me, nasty with me, treating me unpleasantly,
or when addressing me feel the compultion to scream and shout,
I never take it personally and I mean that most sincerely.
I always give all of them the benefit of doubt.
No one consciously would treat me so miserably intentionally
so I give them all the benefit of doubt
that there's probably something going on
in their life that's gone wrong.
Something that I'll never ever know about.
Perhaps they're suffering the loss of a loved one or friend.
Perhaps a serious relationship has come to an end.
Maybe they're just having the worst day that they have ever known.
Maybe I just happened to be there when their fuse got blown,
or maybe they are just plain miserable and always will be.
You know what they say, Misery Loves Company.
Maybe they unconsciously want to make everyone as miserable as they.
I can allow that to happen or I can say No Way.
*
There's always a reason why others do the things that they do
and there's no point in wasting energy trying to figure it all out.
and so for me I choose the path of least resistance,
I Give Everyone The Benefit Of Doubt.
...unless they truly cross the line. Then I Punch Their Lights Out.
The way it is today
I must say
So much hate
Of late
Such a sad fate
People crying over wrongs in the past
Things that did not even then last
Lifes that were torn
Before we were even born
Fighting over what they believe
Words hidden beneath the sleeve
Such a disgrace
Cause we are all the same race
Words become stone
When your all alone
Watch what you say
It is the new way
Feelings becoming easy to hurt
By someone not curt
Your life is better than mine
My light never did shine
Just standing in line
Wasting time
Writing this rhyme
Watching the world go up in smoke
With fear the world starts to choke
I will have another toak
Watching the war machine start coming alive
All that jive
That powers that be
Can no longer see
What is right for us
Giving us reasons to fuss
Hiding tomorrow
With our own sorrow
By making us have to beg and borrow
So many without a home
Left to roam
So many hiding behind a locked door
Afraid those without, may want a little more
Just to get by
Do it or die
The harder we try
The anger starts to simmer
The light becomes dimmer
I want this I want that
Some just sit there and get fat
The poor pulling their dinner out of their hat
The hungry crying out for more
Closer draws this war
We fight among ourselves
For imaginary wealths
We let our hearts grow cold
Or souls, sold
Hate
Fate
Way too late
We fight with each other
No time for our brother
Love starts to smother
The fire
Gets higher
Spreads across the land
Alone we each stand
Each tick of the clock
More guns cock
More hearts start to lock
Directing our attention away
From what's really going on today
Misdirection with news that is fake
Giving us the wrong direction to take
So the more bad decisions we make
The war among us remains unseen so far
But sticks to us like tar
Building up with each day
Cannot trust what anyone has to say
This is the new way
I see
What could be
What is coming around
Our hands become bound
Blind becomes our eyes
This is the time of lies
My heart cries
War
Finds our door
War of hate
Is now our fate
No reason to ask why
Every reason to die
As fire burns the sky
To late we see
How things really be
They held our attention so long
On things we thought were wrong
Did not see till too late
This change of fate
Brought on by hate
I serve my body day and night,
Breathing in and breathing out.
My skin’s pale and paper-thin,
People can see right through me.
I fill my lungs with nicotine
So I don’t have to stress ‘bout it.
If I had money and no sense
I'd use hard drugs and yellow pills.
Proteins, fats, and some carbs;
Four meals a day, and nothing helps.
My mom said when I was 16
That death looks better in coffins.
I've tried so hard to find something attractive in the mirrors,
All I see in my reflection’s lots of flaws and imperfections. Baby,
Turn off the lights and draw the blinds,
Touch my body, get me high.
I’ve been hiding from the eyes,
Now just hide it all inside.
I need someone to f*** me just
So I can prove i’m good enough.
In fact, it works, but who is up
For wasting that much of their time?
But when perverts online clicked "like”,
Shared, texted me and subscribed,
My ego reached new heights, and fell
When I stepped on the bathroom scale.
Influencers, pretty faces,
healthy food, and six-pack abs
On every screen, in p***, in ads,
the World Wide Web and dating apps
I've tried so hard to find something attractive in the mirrors,
All I see in my reflection’s lots of flaws and imperfections. Baby,
Turn off the lights and draw the blinds,
Touch my body, get me high.
I’ve been hiding from the eyes,
Now just hide it all inside.
Since I have no one to call mine,
I spend nights on my phone, so I
Get compliments and dirty “wows”
From strangers when they see my a***.
Since he said I don't turn him on,
I've really wondered what is wrong.
My skin cannot hide my bones,
And I can't get rid of these thoughts.
Here are a handful of hysteric men
That seem to run random in rationed time,
To pour sweat whatso be the reigning clime,
Chasing the ball to goal as oft as can,
Or in defense, for long tenure of ball,
Wasting time or feigning hurt in a mime,
Grit and guts, gumption getting mixed with grime,
All with a view to holding world in thrall.
There too are those sunk deep in cushioned chairs—
Idle but crazy watchers, lazy bones,
Save when they yell, lifeless roadside milestones,
Couch potatoes all flaunting expert airs,
All expert critics stuck within a wall,
Who rather would cheer more than chase the ball.

And maybe tonight in feasting
I'll inhale the flavors of my meal
and exhale colors in the wind
I have not been chosen
beyond our understanding, it just is
It’s the quiet that scares me
so I'm a puppeteer of the shadows
Dancing near the light source
to feed my lonely
I breathe this naturally
Another dimension
Another time
More laughter
I'm pacing and spinning
Yelling and singing
I'm in control
until the arch of my feet gets weak
from chasing the muse my bed becomes
And I'm tired
In prayer I lay
The only air left to breathe is the regret of wasting the day
It was never us
Just me filling the spaces of those I want to love
They are not here now
They cant share this with me
I'm only weak
It's only me
