Love That Changed Me

I said, "You look beautiful to me."
She replied, "That’s not a good thing to say."

I said, "I never lie, you know."
She replied, "That’s not the truth anyway."

I said, "Maybe it’s a lie, but just listen."
She replied, "Time’s short, so speak your heart."

I said, "I think about you all the time."
She replied, "You’re just wasting time from the start."

I said, "I love you, can’t you see?"
She replied, "That’s wrong — it can’t be right."

I said, "Then make me right, show me how."
She replied, "What do you mean by that now?"

I said, "Make me the way I used to be,
Before I fell for you and lost the real me."

I really love the way you compose words... It reminds me of my lost love...it feels so realistic It makes me feel like someone's talking about my feelings on behalf of me.... really appreciable
