Ontem Hoje E Trabalho

Ontem. Mais um sonho;
	Hoje uma visao!

Viva a liberdade, sim, a liberdade!
	A verdadeira liberdade!

	Inspira para o trabalho,
	Como o mar e os ventos;
	Trabalha, trabalha trabalha...

Premium Member North For the Winter?

We took a vacation way up North in the dead of winter
“You’re going the wrong way”, all would say thinking our minds must have splintered.
It was hard to find a room to rent within the Arctic circus
But one we did find with a hot tub outside to suit our final purpose.

Wearing only a robe and boots of skin with a bottle of wine in hand
To the hot tub we ran in minus degrees disrobing before we jumped in.
We poured our glasses of red cabernet and clinked them together so slight,
As we settled in in the dark of the day waiting for the Aurora Borealis display of light.

Visions of light; red, blue and green, dancing a spectacle we’d never seen
While ice crystals formed on our lashes.
Out on the horizon up through the heavens,
One after another most vibrant of flashes.

For hours we sat in the hot water vat
Staring in utter delight
Never a sight had we seen so beautifully obscene
As the dance of the Northern Lights.

Nicotine is making a comeback
analog cigarettes are making a comeback
so many students are nicotine positive.

Every girl has Zyn by her drink at the bar
which used to be seen as a BRO-y vibe.
I’m not taking a view, I’m unbothered by it.

because

I’m hooked as well - I might as well admit it.
I’m into placebos these days and and I’m abjectly
rendered dumb by their unspeakable pleasures.

I went to an acapella concert last night and OMG!
I was mollywhopped (knocked out).

South Park. I LOVE those guys.
Trigger warning. This is EXPLICIT and hilarious.

Melancolia

Hoy me he sentido extrañamente melancolico,

My Dream Vacation: Venice

I'd like to see Venice,
the city of eternal peace
to which poets and painters flock;
the sunset' hues are impressive at dusk.

I'd like to ride in a gondola,
and admire La Serenissima
while the venetian gondolier sings a familiar song
that everybody loves...row gentler as you sing!

I'd like to join the Venice Carnival, and be somebody's handsome groom,
on the most eerie night, when there's a crowd in the Marco Polo ballroom...
in the palace everybody wears a vague mask and a bizarre costume;
be aware of the friendly ones who, with charm, have the intention to lure.

I'd like to watch the luminiscent moon
rise over the Dome of Saint Mark's Basilica at night;
and for once without a visible, depressing spot...
it should smile at me while I croon.

I'd like to embrace that lovely woman
with eyes as green as the grass of a meadow;
and will she recognize me and forgive me again,
or sadly remain a broken-winged sparrow?

I'd like to bask in the warm sunshine
as the huge Adriatic sky becomes a real light blue;
and under Il Ponte dei Respiri I will glide
in that gondola as she lies next to me with a smile so true.

Premium Member baigne de soleil - bathed in sun

(a poem in several Haiku and Senryu stanzas)

The molten gold sun
on cerulean canvas
breeze borne cirrus clouds

flawless days stretching
like sun-kissed bodies - crisp white
linen cabanas

lips roughly sore from
innumerable kisses
we shimmer white hot.

Lulling rhythmic waves -
heavens extravagant taste
- on leisure sculpt days

masterpiece pleasures,
love’s instigative brushstrokes,
paint compelling joy

Ativar a Grandeza

Ativar a grandeza

Vamos ativar a nossa grandeza,

Encontraremos a

Viva La Vie Boheme

No three-piece suits
No conformity
New ideas
Feared by the norm
Given room to grow
Not held down by rules
Freed by those who fight the mainstream
People who want to be an us
Rather than part of the them
Artists, actors
Poets, writers
Singers and dancers
Together in old brownstones
Candles for light
Little to eat
No money to pay the bills
Yet they create
On the steps and on every street corner
Songs playing late into the night
Guitars and makeshift drums
Vocals match the primitive beats
Poets and writers sit alone in their rooms
Hiding in little light they stare into space
Dreaming of the next word
Trying to find the perfect line
Artists look into a world of brick and concrete
Seeing beauty in what others cannot see
The flower on the curb
Beautifully alive
Bright colors
Reds, blues and golds
Become a painting few will ever see
They do not create for money
There will be none
They do not create for fame
That will come long after they are gone
They create for inner peace
Words, colors and sounds
Soothe them
Calm them
They can forget the problems of the world
And share a promised land

Right Brain, Left Brain

Two halves of a whole
Complimentary opposites
Passive/active, imaginal/verbal
Figurative/literal, depressive/manic
Outside and within time
A master and his emissary
Inside us all.

Yet each of us have our own balance
Our own comfort zones
And range of tolerance.
Like a finger print
Within our brain
Leaving its subtle mark
On everything we think, say and do.

Viva the difference!
I say
While my right brain
Just watches, impassively
As thought bubbles form, drift and fade away
To an ambient soundtrack
Of invisible spheres…
