“CHARLES DARWIN AND THE JUNKIE”
THE NEEDLE SWIMS INTO MY ARM, LIGHTS FIRE IN MY VIENS
AND FOR THAT MOMENTS PLEASURE I TRADE WHAT SOUL REMAINS
NATURE THINS IT’S OWN HITLER TRIED IT TOO
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST IT AIN’T NOTHING NEW
CHARLES I'M NOT THE STRONGEST BUT I MAY JUST SURVIVE
AND IF I MAKE IT THROUGH THIS HELL IS IT WRONG THAT I'M ALIVE
EVOLUTION WILL NOT SAVE ME NO GOD HOLDS MY HAND
ONLY I CAN HELP ME NOW I THINK YOU’LL UNDERSTAND
THERE’S NO ANGELS FOR ME HERE I’M ALONE TONIGHT
IF I CAN’T BEAT MY DEMONS CHARLES DARWIN YOU WERE RIGHT
I LOOK AROUND FOR HELP THERE’S NO ONE IN SIGHT
SURRENDER COMES TOO EASY I STILL HAVE SOME FIGHT
THE WEAK MAY INHERIT THE EARTH BUT THEY DON’T HAVE IT NOW
SOMEDAY I MAY BELIEVE IF I GET THROUGH SOMEHOW
I HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME I’M IN OVER MY HEAD
I’M FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE AND NOT FAR FROM DEAD
CHARLES DARWIN YES I HEAR YOU I KNOW WHAT YOU SAY
BUT YOU SHOULD RECONSIDER THERE MIGHT BE ANOTHER WAY
AND SHOULD I SLAY MY DEMONS AND SAY HERE’S WHERE I BELONG
CHARLES DARWIN, CHARLES DARWIN, CHARLES DARWIN YOU WERE WRONG
1942
She snapped her static line
onto the anchor cable
and listened for the sound of the engines throttling back.
One other before her had nodded
and jumped into the dark night.
She felt the bag on her leg,
put her hands on either side of the opening.
She looked straight out to the invisible horizon,
even though it was dark.
And pushed herself out the door.
A night jump.
Before she counted to three
she floated and felt the cool air all around her.
She felt her heart beat
strong
and free,
her body a weightless toy.
She even hoped she could use the safety chute-
just this once-
but she was jerked hard,
upwards.
Her mission below
depended on a safe landing fall in a farmer’s field.
She howled into the air.
At the enemies anywhere.
For her camarades de compagne below.
Je suis libre! Je viens!
I am free! I am coming!
The air.
It has freed me!
Again.
She dropped her supply bag to her boot,
touched the pouch with her mission papers,
saw the few fires below marking landing space
and felt for the rushing ground
to meet her.
1966
She jumped off the dock,
her yellow sun suit pressing against her,
the air cool,
the kids in the pond laughing, playing.
She would join them!
She floated and turned,
weightless, nothing,
arms out like wings.
Turning, turning.
Then,
something grabbed her suit
and suspended her,
and brought her back.
Even after the scolding-
You can’t swim, you’re too young, don’t ever-
-she still floated and turned
and turned
and dreamt of jumping
again and again
into air.
Why
do you
tell
me lies
that you want to be with me
when
you refuse
to
want to touch me
Am
I so
disgusting
that
you gringe
when
you
see bare
shoulders that
peek through sweaters
you used to kiss
them
and
i loved the butterfly kises
you see
imaginary spots
of
leprosy
You tell
me
you want
something deeper
than physical
What is up with that
like
castrated
friends
we have nothing else
I am a woman
you
deny
me
love
WHY
you think
you
are degrading me
or
that
you think of me
as an object
But I am not
you
do not understand me at all
I want
to be the mistress
of the night
and
Yet
you deny me
anything
and even
thinking
this
You think is lustful
well your right
IT IS
but
whats wrong with it
Living life
and loving it
Love is meant for it
Why do you care
so much
what
others think
WHEN
ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT
is having
you deny
me the right
as a woman
you make me feel
so dirty
like
a crack whore
strung out
on the streets
and you stand
there
spouting words
of
conceited pride
You
make
me laugh
for
what you have
done
making me
love you
and want you
and yet
now
nothing out of it
I cry
and I cry
because
I know
that
I have given so much
and
still
what I am is
wrong
but
i finally feel happy
and accept myself
but
you couldnt let me have that could you
no
Ashamed
and upset
you leave me here
when you go off
contemptuous,
laughter
corroding my viens
I wish you
were
able to see my way.
I wish that
What i am
to
you ISNT COMPLETLY wrong
I know that I am a strong
woman
and
that I need no man
BUT
Still for you I cry
and it makes me sick
where is that
voice
hidden in that throat of mine.
WHere is that spirit
I had
in my youthful days
I am stuck in this angry daze.
trees
I watch the days dwindle
slowly at first
like a melting icicle
dripping
down
for so long i have been numbed by the effects of time
but now
the seed of my heart is dormant
and i only await
to burst forth
from the frozen ground
Your warmth has kept me
alive
and nurished me
Releasing the carbon dioxide that has clogged my
viens
As i gasp for air
you feed it to me
Sprouting
leaves like little fingers
I wave goodnight
as the moon
watches over me
silently
but then
I soar above the ground
Towering
Almost touching the clouds
Exhilarating
the air up here is
pure
and nearest to you
leaving behind old forest friends
so close to the ground
i rise
I climb yet even higher
My leaves reveal secrets
as my flowers
bloom
such radiant colors
to catch thine eye
Red for passion
and yet i am only
seeking more of your sunlight
I stand
ever so tall
In hopes that you will see me
I stand so strong in hopes that you will need me
I stand here
just waiting for our time
when your loving embrace will meet mine
in this forest for
all time

JE VAIS APRÈS TOI French Verse-
I’m Coming After You-
Par tes yeux je vois la teinte de ton cœur ;
Votre esprit s'élève au-dessus de tout ce qui ne l'est pas ;
La beauté de ton sourire, tes lèvres dévouées ;
Votre esprit est en pleine pensée spirituelle ;
Et je viens après toi...
Comme un vent de tornade soufflant sur les arbres, tu es fait pour moi ;
Et je viens après toi comme une brise printanière Je ne rêve que de toi et moi;
Et je viens après toi comme de l'eau sur un feu brûlant ;
Mon amour pour toi, tu ne connais pas mon cœur-esprit si terrible ;
Je suis après toi mais pas comme un stockeur ;
Je choisis de n'être qu'un patient témoin ;
Ceci, j'insiste pour que vous soyez ma nouvelle (Mme) Mme ;
J'ai craqué pour toi, c'est vrai ;
Je ne suis pas parfait mais je serais juste pour toi ;
Je ne te partagerai avec personne d'autre que Dieu ;
Comme un lever de soleil matinal ;
je viens après toi
Maintenant, pendant que nous sommes encore en vie ;
je viens après toi;
Parce que je veux être ton homme ;
Je suis après toi mais pas comme un stockeur ;
Je choisis de n'être qu'un patient témoin ;
Ceci, j'insiste pour que vous soyez ma nouvelle (Mme) Mme ;
J'ai craqué pour toi, c'est vrai ;
Je ne suis pas parfait mais je serais juste pour toi ;
Je ne te partagerai avec personne d'autre que Dieu ;
chérie je t'aime
Et je viens après toi...
Comme un vent de tornade soufflant sur les arbres, tu es fait pour moi ;
Et je viens après toi comme une brise printanière Je ne rêve que de toi et moi;
Et je viens après toi comme de l'eau sur un feu brûlant ;
Mon amour pour toi, tu ne connais pas mon cœur-esprit si terrible ;

I'm lover not a fighter,
me spilling exclamations
instead of blood,
its what I resamble,
the ink in my viens that paints not images
but setting reactions on the loose.
Please! blame me not,
creativity is access,
mean not to invade
but i'm without bearings,
this din in my words,
put flames to my surrounding,
I mean not to brag,
help me extinguish this overflow
in my system,
it just can't be contained,
it wanna consume everything before me,
like a natural disaster,
my presence devastates,
tie your attentions,
before i'm charged for being creative.
I am poetic ink.
not to dilute your egoes
but to uproot your reactions,
like acid,
i'm here to burn not your minds
but your word perspective and perception.
I said it i'm poetry
not that I was born of poetry
but soldiered enough
in gathering meaning
from all sources to your presence,
of what poetry is.

WE BELONG TO HIM-nOUS LUI APPARTENONS--French Verse
Nous avons
Tellement de
Haine
Méfiance
Comment pouvons-nous
va et viens
vivant
L'adorer
Nous lui appartenons
Nous appartenons à HIm
Maintenant, maintenant
L'adorer
Nous lui appartenons
Nous appartenons à HIm
Maintenant, maintenant
tellement de
La tourmente
Pas plus
Amour durable
Rien que le péché
La gauche
Souille notre âme
Arrêtez-vous, commencez à croire
Croire, soyons dedans
Sur accord
Arrêtez-vous et adorez le Savoir
maintenant, maintenant
L'adorer
Nous lui appartenons
Nous appartenons à HIm
Nous lui appartenons
Nous lui appartenons
Nous lui appartenons, à droite
Maintenant

We all need sun, O white pulp
Pineapple and soft light, mango
Me first, then the policeman, then Solène,
We need a long Brazilian nap,
in Bahia or on the fine sand of Copacabana.
The tanned skins are full of secrets,
Vitamins, pulp and sunsets
The tanned skins know our defects,
The erotic dreams, you liked so much,
I pray my Sweet that the time amazes you,
We all need sun, O white pulp
Pineapple and soft light, mango
Lyonnais as Parisians with glasses, need it
Acidulous slowness and charming apricots,
Come on, friend, let’s go to Brazil.
Look upon her blackness
And be filled with delight
Her blackness
A beacon among the insipid faces
around her
Proudly she walks
Proudly she sways
with unsurpassed conviction
A sensuous black lily
Swaying in the wind
The daughter of Africa
Within her soft belly
Sleeps her children
She wears her blackness like a queen
This daughter of Africa
Taught us to be the captain of
whatever course we choose to plot
Not to let suppressive objectives
derive your path
Not to be rendered subservient,
Docile and therefore subjugated
To mental assassination
To n'oublie jamais d'où tu viens
Because you have to be
Before you can know
What u stand for
This daughter of Africa.

Ahhh !! Ooh la-la-moi dame,
Pipi ah, madame.
Fille, dis-tu nous.
Poisson-langue.
Un vœu profond.
Un bonheur préféré, collant et concis
En combinant cela. Lutte de langue, langues.
Toucher, saliver Bliss. Des lèvres douces et succulentes.
Embrasser ...
Amour prolongé l'un pour l'autre.
Amore, belle Anna- Je t'aime tellement.
Je pourrais juste te manger.
Comme je saliver 500 à 1000 raisons différentes. Pourquoi?
