The Middle of the Road

I am standing in the middle of the road, deciding which way to go, the traffic on my left is speeding down the street and the traffic on my right is disrupting my heartbeat.

I am standing in the middle of the street, waiting for the story to complete but you keep adding chapters upon chapter and the story expands covering the entire land. If you walk in the middle of the road, you will get hit by traffic coming from both sides. So, upon wisdom you must abide.

What started off as a private story with one person and the family has touched the entire universe and invokes a traditional curse.

Everyone starts walking up and down the street in the heat, repeating words and verse and meddling in the stranger’s purse. The lion is stuck in the den and the people are waiting for manner to fall from heaven. It has not eaten for several days, and you must be careful how you approach it or it will drag you down in the dirt and rip out your throat.

Nothing that is going on makes sense and the organizers have packed the boxes with hidden lies, the men are prowling around in the street looking for an alibi and a short cut to reach the sky; but the clouds keep rolling by

I am standing in the middle of the street and I have an important message for thee, meet me at the corner of the dam and climb on top of the swinging bridge and crawl on your belly and whisper a silent hymn, if the way is clear you must walk slowly to the other side but if human traffic and vehicular traffic are present you must abandon the trip to heaven.

I feel a sense of a sense of longing, and where am at, I just don’t belong and the journey is extremely long; the road in front of me is filled with debris, and the mudslide breaks down in the middle of the road and big trees are rooted from the ground and lying across the road,

water is rising from both sides of the street and the wind is adding pressure to their sins, they abandon their vehicles and climb out of their shoes and stood in the middle of the road reminiscing their soul and so they began a journey in their native country spreading the news about the fox, the wolf and the mule. When the way is clear you must meet me at the corner over there.

RE-INVENTING THE WHEEL

The universe rhymes with poetry of motion
Ecstasy expressed in lyrical expansion
Where nothing stays stubbornly static
For the laws of motion aren’t erratic.

The rhythm of life is poetry in motion
Trudges on time with triple acceleration
Toils to take timid living on fast trajectory
On revolving wheel, a revolution in human history.

Carts and chariots chained to churning wheels
Got liberated morphing into modern automobiles
Clever craftsmen made them carriage of desire
An art in motion, supersonic speed they aspire.

A famous fundamental physical factor called friction
Imparts an important impediment on vehicular motion
On the week wheels that turn tortured by the ground
They haven’t yet taken vehicle across barrier of sound.

Modern life is moving fast like planet rushing in orbit
Time has come now to design a deft vehicle for it
That would face no constraint of any speed limit
A new era of motion would dawn on concept of transit.

This I would like to achieve by re-inventing the wheel
That would turn on ground but the touch would be virtual
The frictionless vehicle would attain the speed of light
Make space-time travel to the past a delayed delight.

Thank You

Thank you for doing the show, thank you when I had no place to go, thank you for opening up the door, when I have made all the sacrifice and evening has breathe the final breath and I stumble upon the symbol of death; thank you for your patience when I keep asking for more, thank you for the courage you share when the residue washed up on the shore and the mountain keep hiding the sun, thank you.

Daybreak like lightening running through the street and the excitement disrupted my heartbeat, vehicular traffic was moving in every direction and I couldn’t find a single hand to hold on, and the morning kept running like wild beast through the street.

It is the same feeling you get when you stand at the cross wondering which direction to move in and the traffic keep pouring down like water on the ground creating a frenzy in the town and everything start happening all at once in the busy street.

Pedestrians’ keeps moving from place to place looking for the early morning bargain and the wilderness in front of me suddenly disappeared and the market appears, sellers and buyers screaming above their voices everyone trying to get the best bargain before the price increases.

Thank you for giving me a seat at the table when I don’t have a good pair of shoe, thank you for keeping the roof over my head when everyone around me is dead, thank you for giving me a job in the middle of nowhere, when destiny had nothing to spare, thank you for keeping me here so that my life could be spared.

I kept moving around the market looking at the goods, hoping that someone could get me something good and just as I thought of it, a miracle rise up out of the ground and take me to the place I want to go and my long awaited dream finally came true Thank you.
The sun will keep shining and the moon and the stars will spread its lights at night and mankind will finally see the light.

                          Thank you.

Premium Member A Christian I Know

I know one
Who is most poised
And enameled with the
Likes of patience so rare.

For the longest time,
Pain has been her companion.
But she stands calm and still,
Refusing to allow pain to define her.

Through the blinding fog of mishaps;
Through the dark clouds of misfortune;
Through the many storms of adversities;
I see no shouts of 'Why me?", but a smile.

I am arrested and captured
By her enduring spirit
And deeply inspired
By her seasoned faith.

Like lions lay lurking for their prey,
Back injuries and vehicular accidents
Have tried to put her away. But come
What may, the faithful Christian lady stands.

Paterfamilias gone since October 7th, 2020

The spirit of Boyce Brandon Harris
(mine papa) awoke
vested gentry coutured raiment
did don and singularly cloak
affecting haunting resemblance
to daguerreotype accentuating,
(especially his facial features)
as Semitic (i.e. Ashkenazi) folk.

Circumstances found yours truly stationed
(wagon ma figurative tale) outside
within close proximity to our parked vehicle,
a 2009 copper toned Hyundai Sonata
bequeathed to us (thee wife)
courtesy said male parent
approximately six months prior.

Though not necessarily
mechanically engineered
(like dear ole dad),
I know basic
vehicular maintenance tidbits,
thus rummaged trunk

for sought after portable air compressor
purchased when I owned
previous automobile - also
2009 Hyundai Sonata plus
similarly acquired thru
Enterprise rent a car.

After removing most all
miscellaneous paraphernalia -
including recycling materials
the missus regularly
drops off at Wegmans
subsequently organizing trunk in process
I finally located
two lightweight air compressors,

the more heavy duty model
bought years before father passed away,
plus said recently deceased parent
also kept portable battery charger,
both items a dog send
analogous to striking motherlode
of unsuspecting goldmine
ready to shout finders keepers!

Though yours truly
(i.e. me) skeptical dude
regarding existence
of benevolent invisible I allude
to sudden awakening to brood

notion concerning divine
omniscient essence,
which found local bummer
in an ecstatic mood
whereby, I did pray tell
(rather bellow) gratitude

Capital one stroke of luck
to discover (visa vis)
needful things to carry
to avoid being in misery stranded
out in the middle of nowhere
guided courtesy the shining star

tentatively headed towards desperation
resembling a black house
preparing myself (otherwise
known as lovely bag of bones)
for the long walk
into the dark tower of doom.

aha... methinks the missus could pose
as ventriloquist after mortician embalms
these lovely bones, but, hmm...
even then post mortem
agitation most likely becalms...

Straitjacketed impasse finds
yours truly going for broke
to nurse our 2009 Hyundai Sonata,
which monetary outlay doth yoke

Lyric Poem I Reminisce

I reminisce by this railway siding pond,
Musing on rail relics rattling on,
Recalling lives and times bygone,
But memories of their shades linger on,
The lonesome call of distant steam trains,
Eras that may never come our way again,
I see they're gone nowhere in particular,
Replaced by planes and transport vehicular,
I imagine queues on foggy platforms,
Awaiting the misted trains' shadow forms,
Standing by, expecting the status quo,
I blink my eyes, where did they all go?
Looking backwards along yesterday's tracks,
I'm no kid any more, get off my back,
I reflect and reminisce,
Nostalgia is for the past we miss,
I'll reminisce by the railway siding pond,
I recall the times and lives bygone,
As rail relics keep rattling on......

Sinking Feeling Springs Eternal

Sinking feeling springs eternal...
courtesy sucker punched by vehicular travails

Truckload of banshees muffled
as more'n yours truly wails
he feels wheely tired
as one after another
significant snafu devilish

troublesome impish of the
poe pervert car -
tell driver unveils
scarier than Stephen
King's macabre tales
one illusory monster with

(by Scott) matted pointy scales,
who infuriatingly rants and rails
against dependence on
unstable, unpredictable, and
unmentionable car rear,
where his ruffled quilted wings,

stand on edge quiver and quails
analogous to how Jack
and Jill arduously lugged pails
splashing water to and fro
hither and yon some

drips drops long as nine inch nails,
actually pleasant sensation
though futile schlepping,
sloshing, and spilling bucketful
after bucketful eternal

rhyming task without reason
synonymous with Sisyphus,
but lo and behold
agony no longer assails
only fleeting ecstasy, think
Bos taurus came back

to animal farm -
carting... yup countless hay bales
(sh....) stolen goods,
under the whinny some nose
of neighboring Equus
at Clyde on dales,

one Mister Ed, a horse -
laugh he exhales,
said bovine won't be cowed,
cuz fodder knows beast,
that charity never fails.

Premium Member In the Hours of Dark

Sights and sounds I hear and see
Devices in hands fit so comfortably
Wires from ears connect to the one
They sit talking to themselves like they are with someone?

Vehicular movement with no live bearers.
So many different types; the mind boggles!

Moving signs illuminate these pavements of stone
Big flying objects make lots of noise
They just ignore them; they don't act surprised?

Moving pictures of such clarity behind huge windows of glass
Underground walkways filled with people and shops

They don't seem to notice and are not as polite
Acknowledge their eye sight and there is an element of fright

That's what I saw, that's what happens right here

In two hundred years the world is different out there

Your machine worked well getting me there

I don't want to go back to those lands as I saw the future and it's reality so stark.

I'll remember the experience as a dream in the hours of dark.
