One Bold Black Soul

often in the grand scheme of God's desires
He will use mankind to do what He requires
His providential purposes God's master plans
will utilize any and all types of man

the Pharoah declared a most horrendous decree
of infanticide on Jewish male babies
to put them to death to keep their numbers down
fearful of having too many Jewish males around
but history has a way of repeating itself again and again
as the young Black male populations today hangs by a fringe
with incarcerations, police brutality and killing each other
we're on the verge of eradicating our young Black brothers
a supposed threat to society that same old racist mentality

yet all it takes is for God to send someone to be bold
one person unafraid to break away from the mold
over 400 years of praying and keeping hope alive
a people once in slavery but today they now thrive
from Moses to Jeremiah to the Rev. Dr. King
to President Barak Obama God can change anything
One Bold Black Soul to say what needs to be said
One Bold Black Soul whose life is spirit-led

don't let the world compromise your moral integrity
let prayer be the tool you use to claim the victory
you need some solitude to simply reflect
on that which God desires of you and what of you He expects
God will be what you want no matter what you need
and He will do whatever is needed to help you succeed
so walk in the spirit and just wait for your time
and be ready to act when God gives you a sign
to be called into place with God's saving grace

Jeremiah told the people of the prophecy
about their demise if they confront their enemy
he was then thrown into a pit full of mud and slime
his death to be a certainty in a very short time
but One Bold Black Soul stepped up to the plate
and told the King to save Jeremiah before it was too late
One Bold Black Soul an Ethiopian man
told of the soldiers diabolical plans

to be bold, to be risky, to be resilient in your resolve
to step out of your comfort zone until the problem is solved
from Rosa Parks to Medgar Evers to Malcolm X
to do what is prevalent and not what society expects
creative in courage, inspired with innovation
by any means necessary to change the situation
One Bold Black Soul willing to step out on a limb
to stop history from repeating itself once again

His Holy City and cast out to SHED his blood on the tTtree of Golgotha the Hill of the

small amounts and breaking cracker crumbs will not save you but the shedding of the blood
of JESUS when he did this was over Two Thousands Year ago this Christmas. Not the formal
necktied meetings but the Beaten Dying Lord hangging dripping Blood the blood of Jesus.
What he said was WHEN WHEN WHEN you are DOING THIS (meant breaking bread at the meetings
and drinking the wine as the sacrificial remembrances) HE then said Remember ME ???

Premium Member What Easter Means To Me

There he stood, the Son of God and man
His looks was average; like ordinary men
Messiah in our presence! Yet, so few believed
In spite of amazing miracles none of which had been seen before

I tried to move a bit closer; away from the throng
Was allowed no entry within the Governor’s gates
Yet, I could see through the tall, marble columns
He stood still; silent and regal just as a king

The enemy smirked as he hung amongst the crowd; and thought he had won
Predictably, pride once more would preempt his game
My Lord in humility remained, though sadness and pain reflected in his eyes
All alone, he faced accusing tongues and yet, he gave no response

Dead silence hovered within the Prefect’s tall gates as he queried
‘Are you King of the Jews?’ My Lord replied, ‘It is as you say.’
Caiaphas and others, ruled by ego, it seemed, became bitterly enraged!
Deadly pride indwelled; self assured, none thought to pray for discernment

He was beaten and mocked; he was boldly spat upon
The one who cleanse the lepers, and revived some long dead
Not in secret were these miracles performed; but in the presence of multitudes
Some with eyes could not see, and the darkness cast shadows of deeper doubt

He was crowned with thorns; a mockery; made to bear the massive cross
And as he passed before me, silent tears flooded my eyes
What am I that he should suffer bitter humiliation and death on my account?
I was on the road to Hell and Eternal Love has come to rescue me!

As he hung upon that wooden cross, captivated by numbness, was I
He cried, ‘It is finished!’ Then death lost its hold- the veil, forever torn!
In the deepest level of Hades, the enemy cowered as he hides
For again he has failed.. Purest Love has overcome ultimate hate

It's My Resurrection Too

two women both named Mary in the spirit of love, courage and care
went to the tomb where Jesus was laid but did not find Him there
it was the fulfillment of the prophecy that Jesus Himself said
that after three days He would arise His resurrection from the dead
an angel of the Lord was waiting there wearing raiment white as snow
It told both women to "fear not" for Jesus had to go
It said go and tell the Disciples all of Jesus' men
to go to Galilee where they would see Him again

it was a transformation, it was a cosmic victory for life
the resurrection of our Savior our Lord Jesus the Christ
but that would not be the end of this biblical story
as it's my resurrection too and I give God all the glory
on a Friday that day when Jesus was crucified
on a Friday high on a cross for my sins He died

we live in a society where the fear of living is abound
and many welcome death which seems to be all around
people are scared to live life and death is romanticized
for it is much harder to live than it is to die
but it"s my resurrection too, it's my affirmation of life
it's my resurrection too, as I also arose with Christ

Jesus came to make life justified and fair
but those in powerful positions did not want Him there
it's not that much different than what President Obama is trying to do
where those in powerful places want to get rid of him too

for us to be like Jesus who came to give us abundant life
for us to be like Jesus, the Word, the Son, the Gospel, the Christ
to overcome hatred and promote unconditional love
to overcome death and be resurrected by the power of His blood
it's my resurrection too it's my escape from a spiritual grave
it's my resurrection too for through Christ I've been saved

Achilles

This is about Achilles who is told that he can choose to either be immortal or kill Hector and
avenge the death of his cousin, but then be killed like a mortal.Achilles chooses to avenge
the death of his cousin and sacrifices his immortality for the same.

I am immortal, the Gods tell me,
My immortality is my fate's Gift to me.
Hector, the Prince of Troy, is a hero-
Strong, wise and just,
But he killed my friend
And to honour his friendship,
Avenge, I must.

Its our decisions that make our future,
And our beliefs that make us great.
Fate, the Temptress shall never be my master,
I do not believe in fate.

Our friends... they live in our hearts,
For them I will let my world fall apart.
Life 'is' nothing without those I love...
Let Death be my answer from Gods above.
If I kill Hector, Death will soon find me,
And to return to dust, will my fate be...
But immortal would be our friendship,
Though short , our lives may be.

Life is all about love
And to love and be loved is the only honour I seek.
I stand alone in the darkness
Trapped in an unpredictable world...
I am a legend,
Because I choose to live by my code,
To cherish my moments and memories,
To protect, honour and fight for those whom I love.
I live by my will and my strength,
And by the grace of the Gods above.

Death Was Her Name, You Saved Me Anyways(To Rain)

A smile comes across her face.
Death is her name.
Such a calculated embrace.
My chest begins to pound.
Because I know she'll be there in the morning.
I won't even make a sound.
My lungs press tightly against my bones.
As we lay side by side.
Death tightens itself around my throat.
She wants to take me home.
Struggling.
I fight for air.
Death and I are caught in a stare.
Eye to eye.
As i lie, the bed of thorns wrapping me tight.
Pull me through!
No matter how much it hurts my insides.
Because of you, I will fight for my life.
Oh, my God, the pain penetrates my bones.
Pull me out no matter how much this hurts.
She will not kill me.
I will not sign my death certificate.
One scream, it's over.
My beating heart, lies exposed.
Bring me back, so together we can stand.
Death let go of my fragile hand.
You pull my body from this death bed.
Repair the scratches that cover my surface.
The blood has stained my skin.
Cleanse the body.
Refresh my mind.
Just look me in the eyes.
When will you realize that you have brought me back.
You will never understand how much I appreciate that.
I will fight with you right to the gates of Hell.
You have shown me that I will never be alone.
You have proved me wrong.
