Mea culpa my child

__________________________
This elegy set in a trimester anapaest breaks the pattern at times when the memories filled with emotion rush. The last line of the quatrain is deliberately kept a foot shorter.
_______________________

Thou wert frail, frailer still was thy fate,
And had reasons to feel a bit riled,
Thy sad eyes must have looked out for me,
O my ill-fated child.

For I failed, be there to welcome thee,
Thou had too little time left to wait,
To be held in a father’s fond arms,
And left me rue my fate.

How it hurts not to hold thee to heart,
Nor welcome thee into my small world,
Let me offer this grief of a rose—
A bit frail, feeble, curled.

Now amidst a dark pile of sad thoughts
In a time-warped fast vanishing wave,
I am left to reflect how thy soul
Must have felt, till my grave.

Ye had come to our life long ago,
A bit wan, pallid infant so pale,
Even then cruel fate served a punch,
A gust turned to a gale!

As I hold out to thee this frail rose,
I do wonder wide-eyed, a bit wild,
Can a page turn in time to feel good?
No, my guilt’s piled my child.

To confess and admit to my guilt,
In my plight, having failed a dad’s due,
Let me wish thy new life rosy pink,
The wretched me whilst rue.

Fornicator you believe in abortion
Adulterer you believe in abortion
Rapist do you believe in abortio
Father God has kissed your nose your lips blew his life essence
Into your tiny chest He created you
Instantly for it takes God man and a woman to create a human being
Always
Always it's a choice
Yet you believe that at certain trimester life
Isn't life but it only takes an instant
To create
 a spark the breath of air from God's own light
Let's get it right
Who are you to kill a life
If you don't want a child women keep your legs closed pants up and dress down
Men keep your genitals to yourself

Gogh's Fields of Gold Ii

IT is dark down here & this awful reality
satisfies the ego and frightens the soul
but makes a state of distraction
;  an abomination --an abhorrence
for all that it implies -a living organism
as a leaf or a particle.

There is no non-life only emptiness & this filth
whose existence is temporary-- a first-trimester pregnancy
in an animal --a rejected spiritual soul, it is real-
life in simple terms-- the personal growth we are
so ignorant of the brave face of existence --a thing
we will 'never' ever come to terms
with --the vagaries of Time which call to us
'cross the bridge' & walk the Yellow Streets
of Van Gogh.

Hav you never ever walked the edge of fields of
so yellow they smell of gold -- the wheat fields
of Vincent Van Gogh: he was a bastard
to most but greatly to 'self' --> killed the personality
but never the Art
nor the Soul

A cigar and an egg

A cigar and an egg
(a memory of a ritual encounter)

Pay Papa Death bell tolls
Dancing radiants of fluorescent sunlight
Incense choking the drums
Will it work? Perhaps.
Watch him collapse
That —
Monolith man obsessed with life and mammon
That —
Homunculus bastard born of a womb-less night
White ovum cracked on her arched back
Yellow vitellus crawls down her ass crack
The magician needs it all
Ingest
That Protoplasm trimester truffle
Before the god and his people suffer
Without need of the preacher’s seed
Oh, but the saints doth bleed
And hath bled
And doth live
And hath been dead
But the rite finds its purchase
The egg has been lost
Results are their purpose
But each with their cost
The price thus to be paid:
A dollar for a spell
And a life for a babe

Premium Member Billy and Mary-Contest

Billy and Mary had the most beautiful love
story.
It was like something you read in a book or
seen in a movie.
They were next-door neighbors and best
friends.
Each milestone in life was made with each
other.
They knew each other all of their lives and
they both were the only child.
Billy and Mary attended the same elementary,
middle and high school.
The town that they grew up in was small and
everyone knew each other.
She was the head cheerleader, and he was the
captain of the football team at the local high
school.
They were voted King and Queen for three years
in a row.
By senior year they were inseparable and madly
in love.
After graduation, they went to the same college.
Billy got a scholarship to play football, and Mary
got into the nursing program.
Billy was headed to NFL until he broke his shoulder
in two places.
On that day, his dream of playing pro shattered.
So he took courses to become a coach, If he wasn't
able to play football anymore, he was determined to
invest in a young player that had his former dreams.
Mary finished nursing school, and they married the
following year.
They wanted to have a family, but it didn't come easy.
The couple had three miscarriages within the first
few years of marriage.
When they found out, they were pregnant the fourth
time, she had to go on bed rest.
They were elated when was in her third trimester.
But when she was seven months, she experienced
unbearable cramps.
Billy rushed her to the hospital and she was told that
she had to deliver the baby.
She was scared for herself and her child;Larry held and
comforted her while she was in active labor, it was touch
and go.
Then suddenly her vital signs started to falter; and she
started hemorrhaging.
They told Billy to leave; he was in shock;The team of
doctors did all they could to save her; She didn't make
it, and neither did her child. It left poor Billy, a widower
and childless at the tender age of twenty-three.

A Season of Indigence

A SEASON OF INDIGENCE

This drought and curse
Of hand to mouth;
An unrepentant encroachment of pauperism
Impregnating our back country
Discern,
Our bigwigs in back country
Stand aloof
While,
Season after season
Millions of Pickneys
Flourish with kwashiokor
I,
A son of the soil,
A citizen of the world
Peruse no light
At the end of the tunnel
Jet age swarmed us with gusto,
An age when birds
Learned to flutter incessantly
Criss crossing the Atlantic and Pacific oceans
Ushering in a pretence
In social change
Only to abscond
With it's tail between it's legs
Information age,
Just stirred from it's slumber
It's lazy eyes struggling to adjust
To our flickering fluorescent
Hard drive here....flash drive there.....
Mouse click left....mouse click right....
Still,
I see no light
At the end of the tunnel
Robots are now delegating affairs
Our barns are empty
Our children famished
Poverty is now an opium of humanity
Alas,
Third trimester of harbor, now in labor,
The Surgeon's predigious epidural hype
Adjudged below the belt, still born!

Sorrow

See my heart stopped today and I felt it drop to my stomach,
where 2 babies lay, Except now there 1 wasn't.
I went to the doctor today and they showed me a screen,
Of an empty pit in my stomach where my baby had been.
I was having twins just 2 weeks ago and Baby A was just fine,
While Baby B had a low heart rate and needed some time..
I Still have my daughter and I still have a baby inside.
That doesn't stop the hurt that a part of me has died.
She lit up the screen and showed me two sacs,
One with a heart beat and the other.. Just black...
I shook my head and I cried and cursed feeling broken,
I knew the odds but still I was hoping....
I have no words to comfort my sorrows,
I know that nothing will change come the sun rise tomorrow.
"High Risk"
That's what the nice doctor told me in person,
Until after the first trimester where the odds weren't certain.
I feel defeated.
I feel hurt.
I feel angry.
Like somehow being this way, could save a lost baby?
I'm lashing out because I don't know how to make it stop!
I am furious and I'm heart broken,
This rooms too hot.
My mom held me, That's what mothers do,
She rocked me and reassured me,
Would you believe I'm nearly twenty-two??
I want to write about it, I want to get it off my mind,
i want to be able to grieve without the "Give it time"
I feel ashamed?
I know that Nothing could have prevented this,
I know sometimes "it's just not meant to be"
Right now, I'm upset, and i know it didn't just effect me,
I'm trying to see your side of this but right now i just can't do it,
I can't see past my selfish thoughts or who's body is going through it.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry that I need time alone...
Theres a hole in the pit of my stomach,
As hard as I'm trying, I can't rise above it.
I'm sorry... My love...

Premium Member We Did Not See a Problem

Married life was easy and I dearly loved my wife
We thought about the next step we would take
She brought up having children, and adding to our life
We never thought could be a huge mistake :)

The sickness started early, no meal would stay down
The cramps could make it difficult to walk
Her face would be a thundercloud, never even seen her frown
Now asking her to dance would make her baulk

The end of the first trimester, time to go and see the Doc
She said the Ultrasound's more painful than a birth
Of course she had never had a baby, okay for her to mock
The main thing that concerned her was her girth

As time went on I noticed that she stood up very straight
Maybe even sort of was bent back
When we were going somewhere, we were mostly late
I think we were regarded as quite slack

Then from out of nowhere, there is water running down
Started as a trickle then a flood
For Pete's sake get the car out, it is time to go to town
She waited on the grass, it turned to mud

I charged into the hospital, but left her in the car
I could feel the panic start to reign
Just fill out these forms young man, you are not the star
Then go back out to your car again

I went back out to get her, I took a chair with wheels
By now it was a job to get her in
I tried to reassure her, you look better that it feels
I got a dirty look, there was no grin

She's lying in the bed and has me in a grip of death
The look could sure transform me into stone
As if the cause was down to me, and with her dying breath
She would completely tear my heart out with a moan

Nurse says, " the little one is coming, I can see the head"
Won't be too long now and all is done
I didn't hear a single word, passed out on another bed
From simple plans, the Complications come

Premium Member Survivor In You

In this mercy red sea,
That beholds me;
I am a survivor;
Maybe??
Swirling masses;
Commentary contractions;
Bodily disasters;
Mama don’t look so surprise;
That you hurt from your toes to your inner-thighs;
You head burns, backaches with the movements;
I am swimming;
In this worldly mass inside your cavity;
Your body now mines;
People on the outside see a bump (maybe)???
Abortion or Not??
Humans say I’m in the stomach;
In this mercy red sea,
That beholds me;
I am a survive;
Maybe??
What trimester……….
This isn’t the horse races
Get rid of that x ray, you can’t see my faces???
I  CAN see you’re confused;
This shape you will lose;
What you mean you don’t know who my father is??
What you mean you been with only ONE man??
Liar!!
Mother I can hear you;
Mother I can feel too;
As I swim in this pool;
Which is within you?
God forbids you ABORT me;
If so back to heaven I’ll go;
But what about you;
WILL
      I
        DON’T
