Premium Member A Bell Rings

The ring of a bell,
The sudden smell of honeysuckle,
The moments that carry you,
The need to hug tired strangers,
Drifting dirt-covered angels,
In the summertime.

With July brings perfect doubt.
As I float in chartless territory,
The only thing I ever wanted to be
So far away, and so present and alive,
But in colors and faces I cannot recognize,
A rippling mystery on the top of my tongue.
The slide past the heart.

The ancient, tonal ore of the spirit
Here in the red dirt of Mililani
Where I am torn, limb from brain, mind from matter
Dreams from mud, ghost from flesh.

In each instant is the lesson told and told again:
That love is always new.
A drop of rain, calls,
From the hills.
A bell, rings.
And love cares not.
Love loves, indifferently.

Hearts Like Ours With Kofi Amed

Kofi Amed & Dominic Amozimi

Tonal shaded selfies behind open mural walls
We were but performers in art galleried halls
Between submissive embrace and crazy calls.

We danced our way into realms of falling roses.
On sullen floors of marble and polished wood
Drenched In ambivert scents of wild orchids

Hands eloped in laughter under a yellow moon
Where smiles were unending and unrestrained
Cocooned in the warmth of your soft embrace

Amid gazes that stir our souls like boiling soup
So hot, it burns and by us tastes all beautiful
And has chained us from our souls to our visibles

Two were burnt. One product; love most enviable
One spark of fire had burnt up two people
And burnt them up like Moses’ burning bush.

No sword could hurt us when we’re nested in embrace
Nor could the swordsman sever us that have been chained
Between our arms we hold each other’s safest place.

The years wears on under star canvassed skies
And slowly I fade into you and you into me
For our love is like fine wine It only gets better and better with time !

Premium Member Partly Cloudy

Fingers of sunlight fuse and bleed
Pouring through cloudy turbid skies
Gently spilling its warmth to concede
Unsettling winds that unceasingly sigh
Muting the thunderous applause of a storm’s demise

A bluebell sky lights the promises of a changing day
Teeming with the brilliance of light that breach
The forecast of wind and weather relinquishing my dismay
As joy implores happiness in song filled harmonies unleash
This empirical miracle of hope’s heavenly array

This partly cloudy day makes me think of you
You are like the unsettled weather
As your feelings shift from gray to blue
Your laughter breaks through like the sun untethered
While your heart wraps around each loving hue
With tonal loving sounds of our day beginning anew

A Mystic Rose Smile

A mystic rose smile that belonged to my mother this is what I recall

My easel and I resting in the spirit, by the grandeur of a morning tilt. As the
Yellow sunrays streak across the canvass, I think of Lamancha
Saffron and mom's tasty soups. Contentedly I paint away until a
Ticklish breeze brings me back to present stay. A lifetime away still I recall the
Indian sari she wore with shades of orange/gold lamer. Lustrous hair pulled
Carefully back, exposing two dark coaled eyes that shone like brightly lit topaz .

Red carnelian sun in tonal ranges splashed across a tapestry of love
Oxidized colors melding into the portraiture of Sahana, Matriarch of Bangalore.
Smiling at the camera a thousand watts from Lalbagh Botanical Gardens. Her
Energy exhumed inside the sketch my recollecting fingertips

Subservient hands cupping my tiny face, "My little turmeric "
Maybe you'll be an artist some day, she spoke with her eyes
I like to think she was the reason I succeeded. Her every word a
Laud accolade. I remember the day I held my first paintbrush
Every time I pick one up today, I think of my mom and a village called Aluru .

My Song

My Song, it could not sing itself
And neither, friend, could I –
The notes they were – preoccupied
The lyrics lies, lies, lies

It struggled with a forlorn tune
With rhythms cadence-less –
Its chords were carried on the wind
Remote and powerless

From steeple tops it sought my ear
It strove for major scales,
Yet failed to lift this Chorister
– It sang to no avail

My voice was mute in silence
It was no song, no song
That I could ever sing along
– The song was wrong, all wrong

And so, I sought a newer verse
A Tune to fit myself
Without a tonal dissonance
Or timing out of step –

For harmony – I scored a Breeze
For words I fitted Truth –
The Tune a composition
An Opus could reboot

The cantos trebled at the strings
The lyrics crooned of Spring
Instinctively my voice arose
To meet this newer thing –

It rose, a Canta Libre
Familiar in refrain,
I felt a certain resonance
At recess in my brain

Advance in bright arrangements
And deftly play the strains
Of Anthems that I once had known
In glorious refrain

From sleeves of albums days gone by
Away on dusty shelves
And stirring now, My Song restored
As if it never left –

Exuberant Light

Selfless rays spring from tonal anagrams
Crystal daybreaks that never know twilight
Released from the pure rhapsody “I Am”
Innocent of intention, free of night,
Nascent from infinity’s essence – light -
Unselfish benediction leaping up
Vitality born in perfection’s cup
Pure spirit, benevolent chivalry,
Enduring present animas closeup,
Crucible, animation’s ministry.

Breathless, lives without infected judgement,
Simply chanted bliss in the present tense
Torrents of chaste delight’s descant descent
Dainty clarity, effervescent zest,
Seeks no return – collects no interest -
Unselfish bounty - Eternal always –
Cascading lambent merriment of praise
No need of sun or moon nativity
Incorruptible abundance ablaze
Light sings everlasting festivity.

Dissolve the Ego

Dissolve the Ego

Like ready for life moulded souls,
Trapped in flesh with mortal
brand,
Labelled with name, a social number,
Yet with sanctioned control
by hidden hand

Not necessarily so, it isn't you,
We journey through life
to experience death,
But what one really
- ought now to do,
Is to kill and dissolve the insipid ego..
All this from the reactive mind smothering man's
drive to perceive more and know,

Yes, that takes presidence now,
in this material realm,
From such perception an obvious limitation,
It is so necessary once lost,
but then found
Attention on and to one's self
so then the shedding of
our body's name

There is not really one identity,
all is one part of a greater whole,
And one would instinctively know,
If we'd only refused to have
- taken on this role

What on earth is in a name?
It most certainly isn't YOU
- that's for sure,
There's no one else to copy
And so therefore,
no one else to blame

The confusion being
I am not this.. this is not me..!
A tonal sound for any given label
So then do not be bound
by notion of a price tag
or in fact at all
- by any branded fable

Of course there is much more to know,
Recall one's own ability
For we are all one piece of,
A blueprint of spirituality
Of origin and of Source
Get rid of name forever,
Like a stream absorbing minerals,
to recover, then to see

Resolve, commit to this they said,
Ironically move back to self
And disgard all infatuation
for names are labels
- all but sound,
Of a tone, an endearing frequency.. that we once had

To move higher, back to God our source,
We intentionally only really need to pay attention as we grow,
be certain of and for, within the good and its pure force,
Remember this - emancipation comes..

Once we - Dissolve the Ego.

Universe of Water Particles

there is nothing to absorb
            when taken outside of scale
    on the inside
 feeling a vacuum of temporality
      forgetting, the salve
 fast-track in slow-mo
       undulation of gossamer breathing
    stroking the skin
           inhabiting bone

I feel you - feeling

fractals flip on their sharp edges
carving particles
              form is spliced
    remains are in rapturous form
 a mass exhale
         pulls out my lungs
    whilst you bathe

       exposure
            separates the silt

succumbed to sedation -
        lilting sound becomes tonal, flat
choices tilt

       .choke on thought.

                                  sighs cannot wash away

I could flail - let me flail -
yet my core is made of lead

          this world is in quicksand
   a held centre
a spiral

scratch the walls
        beneath the flow
                          scratch the walls

 cling to
           time... . .

The fog lay muffling the greenery gray.
Weighing down the atmosphere, sentient sorrowing,
with the benevolent masking intent
of Gaia’s heart.

Dampening, the forceful sound;
the torrent of the Mothers tears;
battering only the granite walls of her womb.
The indistinct tone hid a multiplicity of sin
both visual and auditory, keening.

The cloak covered a miasma
of valley-trapped pollution,
engulfing the optical plane;
creating a haven of rampant peacefulness.

Life immersed in the cleansing, the sorrow, the joy
of the universal gift bows in adulation
of the effluent and affluent beauty
absorbing the storms C tonal ring.

Premium Member The Narcissist Who Saved Himself - Cynthia Howard - collaboration with Dilly Dally

nothing spoils this surface view ~ see me
crave attention, gift empty touch
tonal mask veils flaws and vices
face alter ego and kneel

to feed the shallow shadow that circles
~ around gossamer tears of the grieving moon,
as silenced streaks of tongue-twisted lines,
undress a puddle of poisoned stars

pull force imperceptible, attraction
lost in blissful contemplation
comatose until that last equation
gravitational persuasion creating longing

but will the lake that flows with fears
thaw words tangled in golden chains?
for I’ve drowned in liquified lies,
drawing perfection from imperfect reflections

delve to the depths of my spun world
peripheral interference dissipates in darkness
only requirement is carved version of self
that steadies my hand and drags me in

sinking beneath Narcissus's polluted undertow
tainted oxygen leaves my expanding lungs
hitting jagged rocks, spoiled skin shreds,
exposing a forgotten empath ~ salvation rises
