Powerfully displayed in a coat
Of brilliant crimson, alive
With flaming wings dancing in a dewy
Glimmer of morning sunlight
Washing the dawn with a vivid
Flash or color so animated
It breathes joy into the start
Of this new day, this new light
This new thought
I wonder at its constant thumping
Against the image it sees on the sliding
Glass door – where he glimpses himself
And must think, despite the mourning,
That he has finally found her, the one
Who he mated with once upon a time –
Mated with for life – forever and always
Their love was supposed to have lasted
Eternally without parting
He creates a flash of stunning scarlet
As he knocks a ‘thud’ against the glass
Where a mirrored image of himself
Keeps him coming back for her, his bride
The bird that flew from his life
On some dazzling morning, rich like this one
Rays embracing the skin like a prayer
Quiet and gentle, the image of inspiration
A dream awakening
Will this cardinal ever give up and move on
Find another lady to bring him solace?
His steady knock on the sliding door is becoming
A nuisance as annoying as a dripping faucet
Tapping – thudding – slamming into the glass
With an endless optimism, sure he’ll eventually
Uncover the love of his life, the mate
Who is no longer there to tell him that
His feat is already defeated and he needs to
Give it up before he finally gives into the grief
Crashes into the glass too swiftly and commits
Suicide, the ultimate downfall of his winged pursuit
His chasing of a shadow, the reflection of his hope
Widowed, he aches for his beloved
Defeated, he never gives up
The breath of hope whispering in his ear
Reflecting off the fear that he has lost her
His winged wife
For life

It felt like I was actually diving into the abysses
Touges start rolling, but it was my actual first kiss
A feeling when every limb in your body goe’s weak
Up until then it was nothing but a peck on the cheek
And she asked why I was shaking, what's wrong
Still now I wonder why I was waiting for that long
Because I never knew of anything so bliss or rife
That first kiss brought in me a new lease of life
And what I felt was a shiver, was a feeling of rejoice
And you could hear the quiver that was in my voice
At first it was freighting, not knowing what to expect
But too it was exciting when to sets of lips connect
A guy who meets this girl and gets lost in thy embrace
A syh,and a murmur her mouth soft and sweet the taste
Our heads moving right to left, stroking each others hair
A loss of breath, but I don't ever want to come up for air
And it's something I still miss, you know when she left me
Has to be better than the kiss of death, just like poison ivy
Mesmerizing, no one before has ever felt quit the same
Satisfying ,maybe she was familiar with the kissing game
I KIND OF LEFT THIS TILL THE LAST MINITE SO PROBABLY
NOT A GREAT DEAL OF THOUGHT OR THOUGH I DID TRY
TO DELVE DEEP IN TO THIS TO CAPTURE THAT ELEMENT

p.s use'd your title at end as could not find words to finish
but thought also it would be a nice homage to your self
x david scott this is actually based on a true event
back in february i1998 which Ive probably mentioned
about her in other poems ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Assured by the Almighty’s grace abounding…
Yearning for contentment is settled today and yon
Exuding hope, expressing bright future’s expectation
Affirming moving-on pursuits toward aspiration-ascent
Reminding good days ahead with revival replenishment.
Despite threatening dearth causing despair
Whispering angst, obscuring wishes with worries
Indefatigable spirit overcomes inconveniences
Never surrendering; advancing nonetheless
Depending on God, the sovereign Defender
Learning life lessons while liberated by His love
Illumined to move on with divine inspiration
Nourished with grace and compassion’s nurture
Growing stronger, geared by faith, glowing.
Drawing nigh* to the Lord Who to me reaches down
Offering blessings’ opportunities for service opulence
Welcoming my heart for revival against weariness
Now, I bid adieu to months dwindling down, toward year’s newness.
*James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…

Well, I did not do any thing yet you developed ego.
IF IT’S JEALOUSY, KNOW THAT IF IT IS ABOUT MONEY;
You can’t compete, for I have earned you.
IF IT IS ABOUT THE ADMIRATION THAT IS BEING BESTOWED.
How would you compete, for you shaped the clay, I stand upon.
IF IT IS ABOUT MY INSECURITIES.
Know that, every day I pray to Lord that this togetherness always exists.
IF IT IS ABOUT MY SIMPLICITY.
Know that I am connected only with the one who is the simplest of all.
Yes, I see all the shades of you but when you turn back to me.
You are always in your soul which is always pure.
IF IT ABOUT MY FEAR OF LOSING YOU.
Why shouldn’t I be, is there another you?
IF YOU FEEL THAT I WILL SAIL THROUGH YOUR SUCCESS.
If you think I sail on your success,
Know that I walk where your shadows rest.
I won’t rise to take your place,
I stand behind and watch your grace.
IF YOU DOUBT MY LOYALTY AND INTEGRITY.
Don’t do that, trust me the way I trust you.
IF MY PRESENCE BECOMES OVER INDULGENCE.
Yes, I realise so. Yes, I realise so.
But if I will mend my ways, I fear that I will change.
But I shall so remain!
IF IT IS ABOUT MY BEING A BARRIER.
Know that your smile always brings cheer.
What makes you happy becomes my priority.
IF IT IS A QUESTION THAT WHAT IT IS!
Know that not every closeness must be named,
not every fire is love proclaimed.
Some constellations share one sky.
yet never ask the reason why.
We are the principles, values and ethics.
Perfectly near and perfectly far.
Unwritten lines that always align.
If you still search for what this means,
hear me beyond the usual scenes—
this is not a tale of hearts that claim,
nor a borrowed title, nor a fleeting flame.
What binds us breathes in quieter air,
like blood that knows, like roots that share.
And though I speak in careful art,
no one stands closer to my heart.
I tried my best to know what made you change.
For I did nothing there’s still some blame.
In so few years, he had helped many lives
In so little time, his family and his world caved in
He was a husband, father of four, and mentor to me
He had a measure of fame on the streets, and in the church
He wrote a book about the sad saga of drug addiction in Chicago*
Success, just over the horizon, was his payment for all the sacrifices
But a sinful secret was revealed as he dreamed and uttered his passion
A dear friend heard it and confronted him; His walls quickly fell, and I cried

I came across the man of the title
Of this write, I don't know more of
Him, than the clip I saw of him.'
I note though that he reasoned well
Espoused of balance that did so tell
Spoke of learning, a country not earning.'
Teaching self respect that theme strong
Of liking or not, came to me; all along'
I agree emotion anger based
Will sink like a stone, fading ripples; loss
Of trace, the thread thats needed reality.!
To face its content with equinimity
And this digested, to rise above.'
Flaring emotions, observe the doves
Persistence building breeding of Love
Gaining understanding the harder shove'
It was always so, and always is
Clear minds, clear vision; expose whats hid
Raise up talent , disperse the ills of delusion
Ingest forberance build stamina
Then level the hills, tackle each mountain
One at the time, focus on your destination
While mastering that climb.!
More than a pot of gold awaits beyond the rainbow’s end;
Leprechaun’s are of the faerie clan and they play tricks.
The clever little bugger’s are sure, your mind to send;
on fascinating journeys that’ll leave you in a fix!
You may end up with two noses for, poking just one in
their secret world of mystic arts, that you are not to see.
The fact is, they’re the real bogeymen,
do not befriend, those Leprechaun’s, so wee!
I had a friend, into their den, went he.
I hear him screaming to this day, his tiny little shout,
barely taps my ears yet, Leprechaun laughs with glee;
I know my friend’s trapped within and will never get out.
Saint Patrick may have scared away snakes;
his courage never frightened the Fey.
While the snakes may quiver and quake;
the Fey thumbed their noses while snakes slithered away.

Seated on my Jupiter*,
To many places I go,
Scenes go by in a fast blur,
As I fly without wings, whoa!
Across realms of ecstasy,
I ride to the moon and back,
Fulfilling flight fantasy,
It's an adventure laid-back,
Rounding through all planets eight,
Propelled by stardust power,
'Bove the earth, I levitate,
She helps me cruise in rush hour,
My pride, she moves like a dream,
With her, driving is a breeze,
Shining like silver moonbeam,
She has been fashioned to please,
Across imagination,
Bestride her, a trip of joy,
Out of the world sensation,
Sit behind me and enjoy.

We stand by God’s well of blessings daily
As He invites us to delight in them tremendously.
There He assures us of His eternal loving presence wondrously
With His providence and protection indeed covering us truly…
Thus, we thank Him with glad praises* constantly!
We draw living waters from God’s well of salvation**
Whenever we lose our joy because of pride and transgression.
There we remember Christ’s sacrificial work for our regeneration
With His bruises and wounds for our forgiveness and justification…
Thus, we thank Him with worshipful jubilation!
We stay freely at God’s well of contentment
As He welcomes us to His satisfying replenishment.
There He comforts our souls, so weary from worldly entertainment
With His caring instruction and admonition that cure envy’s ailment…
Thus, we thank Him with earnest commitment!
We desire to get near God’s well of revival
Whenever we’re discouraged with our earthly survival.
There He empowers us to cling to Him for His approval
With His strength and might to prepare us for Christ’s arrival…
Thus, we thank Him with firm confidence of doubts’ removal!
We rest beside God’s well of peace and calmness
As He greets us after labouring in His kingdom’s business.
There He offers to us triumph’s sweetness in fellowship’s closeness
With His compliments and rewards for our faithfulness…
Thus, we thank Him with sincere humbleness!***
*Psalm 92:1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High.

Expressions live on, though my posters may fade.
"When life gives lemons, make lemonade"
urges me to persevere.
When troubles appear
I will just
steer
through. I must
not cater to fear.
I'll fight for all I hold dear.
Maxims have helped in choices I've made.
