This Poem is Ridiculous
There once was a red kangaroo
Fell in love with a white cockatoo
Met in a suburb called Woolloomooloo
Decided a family they'd breed
But couldn't fornicate to plant viable seed
The relationship finally fell through
There once was a little echidna
Said to wallaby let's get together I'll wed ya
Great nuptial feast in Willcannia
They exchanged wedding vows
Then danced many hours
Then undressed from wedding regalia
There once was a hairy young bandicoot
Was courting mallee fowl what a hoot
Amazingly, arrived, fancy offspring, what a brilliant offshoot
They went to reside on a big cattle farm
A successful relationship full of much charm
He played the fiddle whilst she played the flute
There once was an eagle flew high in the sky
Saw down below, a koala, unable to fly
Let's tie the knot, until the day that we die
Lived in a town with the title of Berri
Crossed Murray river aboard a fine ferry
A relationship full of fun and much laughter, Koalas humour resoundingly dry
There once was a devoted, spiritual wombat
To pray 'twas on his backside that's how he sat
Lived all alone in a bush habitat
Forever he wished that he would stay single
No desire to have marriage vows jingle
Made his home, far from the city of old Ballaarat
I awaken at midnight, kangaroo bouncing, inside of my head
This poem's ridiculous but I've said what I've said
Now it's complete I'll go back to my bed
Hope I have cleared all of this bouncing, can once again sleep
If I'm unable will have to revert, to counting some sheep
I've warned you once, but I'll warn you again this poem's ridiculous but I've said what I said
