Oh what a fabulous day today!
Not a day for the mundane, lets take the time
Travel out, go visit-"just a moment it will be fine"
Where was i? Ah yes
Thrown on a coat and smooth down my dress
Somewhere a treat, a change of routine
"Shoes on now, stop making a scene!"
Adventures to start-"no put that down please"
Castles or art? "I said get up off your knees!"
Bags packed, lock checked, oh we better get fuel!
This day is taxing, car packed like a mule
Yes lets start the fun, we deserve it us three
After a week of work, like felling a tree
"Stop shouting at her, now stop touching him"
This day out is a farce, my patience worn thin
"Not right now darling" I'm paying the man
Who probably regrets admitting my clan
"Guys pay attention" but i need a minute or ten
To gather myself, but arent i doing whats best for them?
Days out are a must, theyre not small for long
"Just give me a minute!" Its all going wrong
Back home we go, your haven, my roof
Mummy's just tired, and feeling aloof
Little arms creep around, "that's nice, little cuddle?"
"Oh you're brother's here too, jump up and snuggle!"
Regret sets in, they just want my time
Money no matter, just memories of mine
I try to not snap, doing it all alone
Guilt sneaks on in, as i check my phone
Photos of smiles, and mess and cake
It was worth it for them, my life they do make.
The love always there between tired and stressed,
mother finds it hard, but im doing my best
i love you like a dog
fierce and loyal and intense
always ready to comfort you
always picking you first because youre my person
i cry like a dog
in public and in private
loudly with whimpers and whines
and silently with my ears drooped down and my eyes filled with tears that cant fall
i suffer like a dog
waiting at the door for your attention because im unhappy when youre not around
while you live your life not thinking of me i lay curled up wondering when youll return home
i starve like a dog
begging for your affection like theyre scraps of meat and i havent eaten in months
ears pricked up and stomach rumbling everytime you take a bite
ribs showing as you toss me just enough to keep me alive but never enough to satiate the hunger you caused
i hurt like a dog
tail tucked between my legs as i retreat to a corner to lick my wounds
silent because when i cry out you punish me further
i live like a dog
always excited to see who comes by next loving each person just as strongly as the last
tail wagging with each new friend whether theyre a friend at all or not
i lose like a dog
withdrawn as everyone is let down yet again by me
always too much but never enough
i fight like a dog
teeth bared and hackles raised
ready to fight to the death to defend you while you pit me against my own for your entertainment, placing bets on how long ill last knowing ill die before i ever give up on you
and ill die like a dog
dragging myself back to your side because even though you hurt me once doesnt mean youll do it again
right?
Enroling you a worm (cumbersome and)
hairy, you- scimitar of leaves
Knows the pain ,writhing pupae
Abandoned and convicted
Constricted hanging straightjacket
Squirming like a jackrabbit
Gagged nocturnally - blindfold humility
Rejected by those mocking moths
and jealously believing left the key
Both found our grace on bended knees
..left there dangling from a tree..
Unhinge now those spinakers of glory
Pretty - flaky- flinder
Streaked in splatters paint
Dust of the fairies
Gaze at me with criss-cross eyes
Innocent beauty oh ye butterfly
Spiny antennae, stretching out transmitters
Taking flight so easily
Flitting off with no goodbyes
To a newer afternoon over there
Dashing in the sun
Kneeding and gouging all those zinnias
Joy! Slurping up the nectar
Whisky! Tequila! Brandy and Champagne!
Swops them for a chorus of pansies
Dancing blooming flowers
Crazy blessed colours
Bouncing delight.- erratic in flight
Dodging in between the bees
O enchanted mystic butterfly
Only pausing for a while
Hold me in your spell
For you walked that crooked mile
Linger in this dream
So seldom comes to see
Just as you, my timepiece too
Is coiled in spring
A dustpuff within the wind
Specked all over pollen confetti
Envied now by every moth
Suicidal circle - one kamikaze candle
Seared and singed and slowly fried
Getting what theyre vetted for
But the sun his laughing in his sky
Beseeching all the yet to open flowers
Awake !Awake!
An angel is coming by
Peace silence the dead of night
Hidden tucked away kept up out of sight
The calm before this soul so overtaken by fright
Becomes the one who cant dream never seeing what is right
Nights chill still trying to sink deep
Down your spine you feel doom slowly as it creeps
Knowing its approach near impossible to sleep
Sanity the thing desperately we try to keep
Things arent quite what they had always seemed
Friend and foe only after thier own cream
Wondering why even at first is clearly thier own dream
Its how we're disconnected theres no me left up in team
Needin to provide and survive this neverending chapter
No advice all you hear is mocking laughter
centered on themselves and only what theyre after
The conflict bouncin in my soul oh the endless clatter
All these politicians seem to agree
The immigrants are responsible
For the poor economy
They've come here taking jobs
No employment for our own
They're being housed in luxury
Multi generational homes
They're coming in on boats
Theyre coming in en masse
We're gonna be consumed
By the stalwart impasse
This story is a myth
But one the masses share
The fat cats feed the media
To distance from the stare
They want the lower classes
Who seek to know the cause
Of their continued poverty
While the rich show no remorse
These immigrants are human
They're fleeing for their lives
They're seeking help and shelter
From those in the archives
They want to live a normal life
One free from war and fear
A compliment should be bestowed
That they see that place as here
This existence is wonderful you have so many paths to choose
So go after what you want like you’ve got nothing to loose
Don’t waste time and let it slip away
Fight for what you want and always seize the day
Live every moment in life for what you whish and dream
Reach for the stars with no regrets because they’re closer than they seem
Search your open heart to know your hidden desire
Then take it by force and you’ll be proud while others will admire
Work as hard as you can and it will definitely pay
Choose your friends wisely and don’t let anyone get in your way
Live every moment in life for what you whish and dream
Reach for the stars with no regrets because they’re closer than they seem
Have a plan and stick to it know your objectives don’t estimate
Don’t stray from it and let your enemies change it with their own worthless debate
They are opportunities around every corner everyday is a new beginning
Conqueror all your fears and accomplish your goals and it will make life worth living
Live every moment in life for what you whish and dream
Reach for the stars with no regrets because they’re closer than they seem
They said we're like two birds on a wire
Except one bird doesn't know how to fly
And the other just waits for a chance to get higher
And she says "it's you and me, not you against me"
What a goddamn liar
It's like being friends is a job
And I'm here because the notice said that theyre ready to hire
Though I try and try and try and try but it seems that I can't get any further
It's like I'm watching you drift away from me and yet you're right here, though you're deaf towards my plea
Almost like I'm chained to a chair and dreaming of a day when I truly will feel free
Free to look, to speak and not use my physique as a way to forespeak the state of our friendship.
I looked up to you but it seems that you've gone too far high
But I'll wait for you forever, if it means no goodbyes
And hence our friendship is like flowers fallen from a tree
Though they're on the ground, they're the prettiest thing you'll see
I couldn't save my dad... I trust so easily I up my life.. I get ed over so much... Ive been raped 3 times... Ive been pregnant before... Ive almost committed suicide more times then i can count, Ive cut myself before... Im... Im a ****... Im a sex addict... And that scares the living hell out of me.... I have a REALLY ed up past... My mom will never love and accept me for who I am, my mom will never be proud of me... My mom will never understand me.
All my life I have been judged because that's the kind of people I was raised around, and that's not right. You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.
A lot of people say that I look young and/or innocent, and they judge that based on how I look but they never stop to ask about me, they ask how I'm doing, but all I have to do is say a polite "I'm doing good" and theyre satisfied. And that makes me sad.
Sing a song for the ladies
walking the street
With three little children
And nothing to eat.
Sing a song for the addict
who cant seem to kick
and dreams of a life
of not being sick
This song is for me and you
With nothing left to lose
Cause I'm drunk again
Steady singin'
The rest of us blues.
A toast to the immigrants
a cheer to the young
who cant keep a handle on
what is to come.
Keep track of your family,
keep track of your dreams
Cause nothing is ever
quite as it seems
And we limp on though
and our rent is overdue
were stoned again but that's old news
singin the rest of us blues.
La La dee die, la la dee doh
La la dee dah, la la dee doh
La La dee die la lie dee doh
loh loh dee doh
Say a prayer for the drunkards
entombed in the streets
Say a prayer for the workers
dead on his feet.
All your high powered kings
And divas and queens
preach midschool values
And tighten their jeans.
And our time is overdue,
And you try and make it through
with our dumpster diving shoes
Into the rest of us lose.
Raise a glass for your mother
and toast your old man
Left dying in state homes,
you do the best that you can.
Surrounded by lies,
surrounded by schemes
(Of stepping on visions
and stomping out dreams) not spoken or sung, but implied)
And we read the social news
and swallow some more booze
Theyre marching us two by two
Into the rest of us lose.
No time for the homeless
no time for the poor
No time for evangelists
Knocking my door
We pray on our knees
awaiting the call
But one choice to live
is no choice at all
And people of color will lose
As we long to stand to choose
That is everything is so smooth
and the rest of us lose.
La La dee die, la la dee doh
La la dee dah, la la dee doh
La La dee die la lie dee doh
loh loh dee doh
This song is for me and you
With nothing left to lose
Cause I'm drunk again
Steady singin'
The rest of us blues.
Maybe for some they've never been in love
Cause its never been easy for them
Or cause they have a hard time trusting
Trusting that all will be okay
Some don't even believe in love
Thats why they have a hard time
Accepting that they worthy to be loved
Or that they can even have someone in their life
Some believe in love but believe in money more
That money sweetens any tongue
And that lips can easily be opened with this
For it's been clear people are willing to put a tag on it
Maybe for some have never know what it is to love
They just get emotional and think that is it
Or theyre up in their feels and it feels right for them
Only for them to hurt over and over again
