you are the symbol of my dream closer to my heart
there is nothing in this world to separate us apart
that which keeps sharp the mind I follow like the wave
brave as a lion to enjoy the silence in a cave
like the blossom of the lotus in the morning dew
I begin to speak with the sunrise to get a cue
few unspoken words whisper I share with the butterfly
try to understand that the love for you makes me cry
for the many challenges I overcome you showed me the light
though I am blind you inspired me to fight
right under the golden sun I have no reason for you to forsake
make me this promise to stay beside me whatever it may take
with confidence and humility my love for you is pure
no matter how deep the pain I will continue to endure
cure for anger and hate I carry the nectar of faith
wait for me oh my beloved i beg the God of fate.
Unmet expectations hit hard
they damage what they would,
unkept promises are like blows
they strike where hope grows,
unkind words are harsh slashes,
they rip through, the mind crashes.
The mind becomes the fire of the wild
Uncontrolled, it boils the blood of pride
as it flares, burns the gentle patience,
undowsed, it singes the sane senses,
untamed, it blazes relationship chords,
so long preserved to build the bonds.
The smoke billows up thick and intense
upset conscience trips losing its balance,
heated vile breath is clouded by the ashes
the patient facade of restraint they deface.
The flame flows in the inflated veins
no more carriers of blue blood within,
the heart turns into a volcanic inferno
erupting fiery lava called anger to flow.
November 8, 2017.
In twilight's hush, where shadows intertwine, And heartbeats echo like a timeless rune, I find myself entranced by thee, mine, Like nothing else has ever been, or soon.
With eyes that dance like stars on a celestial plane, Thou steals breaths and thoughts into thy keeping, My soul entwined with thine in realms unknown, My wishes, dreams, and hopes in thee are weaving.
Yet, in this dance of love, let us take care, For passion's flame, unchecked, can burn and legion, So, let us speak of things some fear to share, To build our fortress on a foundation sturdy;
Let us dive into the blue, where secrets sleep, And from the depths emerge, connected deep. With hearts that beat as one, and souls that weep For joy, we'll face the world, our bond intact.
Tested we shall be, of spirit and of flesh, Our love unbroken, through trial or caress. In trust, we find our strength, in honesty, our quest, Our love a beacon, burning, burning, burning.
Use no barrier, nor guard, in acts of love, But keep our bodies pure, with faithful gloves. rotation, no progression, in acts of love, But keep our bodies pure, with faithful gloves.
Let not the allure of liquid gold or leaf, Nor substances that cloud the mind, dilute our keep. For we, together, stand as sturdy as the chief Of mountains ancient, our resolve, our belief.
Respect must reign, like kings in their domains, Consent vital, like the oxygen we breathe. No "nay" shall pass these lips, no pain "`' repel, Bound by love's sacred promise, we two kneel.
In utter trust, we'll venture, hand in hand, Our bond unbroken, our love understood, grand. Throughout our lives, this vow shall echo, stand. Forevermore, we'll be, till love's end.
In the dark opaque night,
across the sonorous space of solitude,
enfolding the languid landscape of existence,
bereft of the beguiled spirit in indolent life,
my forsaken journey’s pathway meanders
in the gloomy labyrinth of agony.
The self-obsessive free-will, ever seemingly dormant,
envelopes the mind with an illusory immanent veil,
obscures the ordained destination.
Trudging at the fringe of trying tolerance,
I hear the whispering wind of innate wisdom
tell me, this journey has no meaningful end.
I’m in the nebulous ambit of ambiguity,
find the desolate soul in the grip of anguish shadow.
As I see the overcast bleak sky crash down,
I collect fortitude in darkness from the debris of hope,
pray for the eternal light God to illumine.
I travel liberated out of the murky abyss of anguish
on the inward blessed journey,
through the pious layers of consciousness,
perceive in the essence of the devout soul
the radiance of the divine beacon,
lighting up the screen of the enacting life.
The portals of the inner domain then open,
where the piety lotus blooms for me,
suffused with omnipresent gleam of God’s grace.
My lighted soul shines with the ethereal radiance
in the infinite depth of the discernment space,
like the flaring brilliance of a thousand suns.
In my self-searching spiritual odyssey
toward the edge of the enlightened eternity,
I perceive the glow of the inner galaxy
lighting all lights in the serene sanctum of stillness
that turn me into a living light.
I find it fascinating how the human mind ponders
the origin and shape of ideas
and how everyone
wanders.
I wonder why I
can’t help but think
in terms of rhythm and rhyme
when oftentimes others
prefer a more subtle approach
to how their thoughts are imperceptibly
dreamed, derived, or discovered.
They say everyone's chemistry is a mixed bag
of good and bad, sour, sweet, sad, mad and
lugubrious to laughably glad.
And I confess I don't know much
about psychology, psychiatry, or the brain
but this I know like the moon that glows:
the mind is a wondrous, thunderous thing.
So, if you're anything like me and
hope to see
the intricacies and mysteries
of the human mind,
better
take a step back
as a matter of fact, finding
answers may be lying
still,
undefined.
A turbulent year has faded out and a new year is before us. Many who were with us are no more. Many are maimed and marred in the battle of life. Let us hope that something better awaits us and it is this hope that pulls us on. Imploring God’s grace, I wish all my dear Soup friends, a Happy 2022.
As the glow of 2021 has faded out
And a new dawn’s halo has surrounded the arc
Best wishes and prayers from all hearts sprout
‘Let a new world of light emerge from the dark’
Let us wait to see new hopes blooming
Grab the little joys the mind can contain
Dismiss all defeatist thoughts surfacing
Warmly greet the New Year about to begin
The stream of life glides gurgling
Listen to its dulcet rhythmic refrain
Put down smothering blues brewing
Cast away all sad and throttling pain
Inhale the salubrious air and begin again
Hope for happier times, day after day
With enormous appetite, life’s zest, regain
Newer vistas will open up and come to stay
Searching for Love must be the most exploited trail,
The theme of almost every song, play, fairy tale.
Love’s shining lodestar we relentlessly pursue,
Doubting repeatedly whether or not it’s true.
The question “what is love” we don’t cease to inquire-
Is there an afterlife to physical desire?
What stimulates the mind? And what warms up the heart?
What binds forever? And what pushes us apart?
Is there a deeper sense, we delve to understand,
Beyond Love’s magic spell, bestowed on humankind ?!
I doubt we would relentlessly pursue,
If Love, we hope and long for, weren’t true!

Depending upon words as symbols employed,
we may label the absolute Self as God,
the substratum of existence unalloyed,
recognised in staid silence when heart has thawed,
that pristine presence, no longer by thoughts toyed,
dissolves all opposites, giving love our nod.
Everything that exists, is but God’s heartbeat,
mirrored as bliss heat that makes us feel complete.
In meditation space and time disappear,
where all that exists is the Self as God’s flame,
renewing itself in itself without fear,
Absolute Self motionless, always the same,
highly dense bright darkness and as we draw near,
we see the ultimate truth in life’s end game.
Obtaining clear sight, the mind of our heart knows,
that we are all in the boat God Himself rows.
Thought about it like rain water falling down head mouth pointed up toward the heavens to taste every so sweet the air that flows entering in my the bear foot on the grasses the land energy flows and in my quiet it Embraces your quiet and in my heart beats so

Written words by James Edward Lee Sr
My run begins with a gentle jog along a mountain trail~
my breath is easy, my legs are loose,
and the world opens up ahead.
But when the trail tilts upward,
my lungs begin to burn, my heart starts to thud~
yet something in me refuses to stop.
Some days the trail is smooth,
sunlight dappling the ground
like applause.
Other days it’s mud,
tangled roots,
and the sharp surprise of a stone
I never saw coming.
But I keep running,
because the body remembers
what the mind forgets~
that momentum is its own kind of grace.
Somewhere along the way
I discover running isn't about the number of miles,
my speed, or crossing finish lines~
it's about the miracle of moving forward.
