It’s unnerving how so easily
And nonchalantly I deviate
Spin off in odd directions
Off on a tangent lose my path

Without roots and effortless
adrift I sway in the first passing wind
And let myself be carried away
By any summer’s night breeze

Captivated in some stargazing moment
Charmed by the beauty of magical illusion
While I naively wander from my inner kingdom
Unsuspectingly breaking free from freedom itself

It’s most disturbing when I’ve strayed
Because for the longest time the path home
Really seems like it may be lost forever
Before I know it I question if I've lost myself

Only Past and Future Moments Exist

Impossible mission to pinpoint present
such fleeting moment instantaneously spent
according to yours truly i.e. this gent
mind boggled, intrigued, stymied...
courtesy unseen minute
(mine hoot, minoot, my newt...) agent

provocateur stealing every precious second,
whether or not satisfactorily spent
time thief absconds with
most treasured commodity
nary tell tale sign,
where he/she went

allegedly, inscrutably, seemingly...
robbing in plain sight fervent
as greased lightning
ramping, stepping, ticking up
blithely skedaddling across firmament
ratcheting frenzied temperament

upon psyche – regarding current
temporary soul searching resident
unstoppably speeding, jetting, barreling...
trigonometrically calculating tangent
severely distorted against
turbulent kaleidoscopic hallucinatory

backdrop – centripetal/centrifugal adjacent
forces compressing body electric
elongating flesh beyond infinity
diaphanous corporeal essence rent
asunder obviously self evident
Ahab bin to theorize

Pequod now to thee extent
overactive imagination lent
allows, enables, and provides
poetic license allotment
extemporizing this entire extent
stretching corpus callosum

to breaking point as well cogent
continuity fractured no different
than usual literary pablum
wariness cautionary brief adage,
when traipsing thru apparent
gobbledygook on par with

puttering around greenacres,
vis vis equivalent
ensnared within wide
webbed whirled sand trap event
chilly eroded Earth's landmasses
made of rocks and minerals

bajillion years metamorphosis refulgent
glistening silicon dioxide
in form of quartz
feldspar and mica supplement
granules ergo timeless saga never ends
or begins analogous
to Möbius strip lambent.

Premium Member Tangent Fears--

Just what is at stake
I'm at the strange plain in my life
I'm touching those fears within my doubts
 just what is at stake
curved surface at a point and yet my Lord keeps me from it just what is at stake
I am at a straight plane in my life
just what is faith
I'm at the straight plane in my life
Faith something that I can't touch
 just what is Faith
Tangent fears
and yet it lifts me up
and yet my Lord keeps me from it
 just what is Faith
just what is this fear
I'm at a straight place in my life
this unpleasant emotion caused by unbelief
 just what is this fear
and yet it lets me up it's in my mind
 and heart and it's dangerous
 just what is the sphere

Perpetual Motion

On a sand less stepped on
by many, I drew a square
whose side is twice my height.
I lay on my back in that square
with my head tangent to its side
and with my feet on the intersection
of the square's diagonals.
Temperature rose in the place.
My body melted.
My head turned into a magnet
and my feet into a pivot.
On each vertex of the square
emerged a magnet polar with mine.
They beckoned me
to join them in their play.
As I approached one of them,
it moved away from me.
The next did the same.
Again I approached another,
hoping that it would be
different from the previous,
but I failed.
They were all the same!
They had planned it?
I thought of stopping their mischief
until I felt that some
mechanisms on my pivot (feet)
were giving them motivation.

Another Kettle of Fish

Talking apple and oranges may deliberate,
wondering to what has been considered.
Different things altogether just multiplied,
losing the string of thoughts refined.
The extended version by lots of Fish in the water,
poachers have no mercy taken stories broader.
Incidentally to go off in tangent moment,
not having the right kettle for Fish component.
To have a kettle that fits the Fish,
is the secret in this gastronomic dish.
The stealing game and the show to manipulate,
changing to another kettle of Fish accurate.
Pique-nique and rural feast conversation,
perplexed affaires as general sensation.
One can still make a fine kettle of Fish with it,
having a surreal perspective permit.
Give it a break, the truth is simple,
squeeze that focus pimple.
Then the Fish needs its kettle,
getting a particular topic to settle.
Winding necks and astonishments,
the art of appearance in dare relevance.
Minding ones business in different speech,
who is who in the kettle of Fish.
Other days as metaphor situation,
different kettle of Fish declaration.
Misfits in places have to transform,
making easy accent the norm.
Everybody knows the questioning reach,
who dare is, another kettle of fish.

Carpathian Ridge

all we do is talk about the weather
in our own cellar language
and I want to accept
the truism of your perceptions
mainly to untangle the plot
but I ponder through seasons of augury

the intent of seven sisters
is perilous like tangent lines
and turns us into oblivious receivers
overcome by the haunting remorse

myths are lost with quiet humility
in another rebirth of blue moon
the uncontrollable power of destruction
is slowly getting into our penetrable thoughts

and strangely I'm your artificial hero
god lowered by the stage machinery
the elemental barricade of transitional gateways
even your tormented vision of love

dancing through the fourth dimension
we're chasing the unstable happiness
fighting the wakefulness of irrational age
we're awakened in self-sacrifice universe
born under the sign of the rabbit
we're expecting the divine intervention
by precise creation of water and metal
we collapse to each other as weeks go by

Major distraction powerful confusion
 innovative woven tapestry
vivid words non-spoken sensual
conveying sense of disorientation
 discomforted spiritual turmoil
imaginary imagination being lost and disconnected
from myself in retrospect
 my amnesia has no recollection
there's no consciousness denial I have a headache my brains on fire my stomach aches my soul is on fire my thoughts are scattered I'm lost in my own forest if not for my light of clarity at not memory like drops of rain fall to the ground splashes forming a puddle a stream trickling down the sidewalk off the curb to the sewer drain I remain tangent lost and disconnected for my own memories and identity fire fire so I ache with intensity of the emotional physical pain fragmented and disjoint nature thoughts and emotions forgotten and forgiven struggling to find my foot amidst the steps of my inner turmoil

Premium Member Zero

There is one mathematical rule we should know:
Nobody in the world can divide by zero.
Anyone who is a mathematical advisor
says you need something in the divisor.
You can’t have zero in the denominator of a fraction.
Zilch makes it undefined and out of action.
Americans, English, Canadians, and the Japanese,
say zero is at the intersection of the X and Y axes.
Naught for the X-value renders a slope undefined.
You cannot have a quotient when the slope is vertical-lined.
A tangent is a sine over the cosine ratio.
The tangent is undefined when the cosine equals zero.
So that is all I have to tell you today.
Did I make things clearer with what I had to say?
