Labor Day 2024

In the realm of labor, where workers toil,
Their sweat and tears upon the soil,
On Labor Day, we honor those
Whose hard work and dedication shows.

From fields of grain to towering skyscrapers,
They build our world, these labor shapers,
With hands calloused and backs bent low,
They forge ahead, through wind and snow.

In factories, offices, and homes,
They never falter, they never roam,
Their labor fuels our daily lives,
Their sacrifice, the world survives.

From dawn till dusk, they toil away,
Their families waiting for the end of day,
But still they push, they strive, they fight,
Their strength and courage shining bright.

On Labor Day, we celebrate,
The workers who make our nation great,
Their hands that build, their hearts that care,
Their spirit strong, beyond compare.

So raise a glass, raise a cheer,
For every worker far and near,
On Labor Day, we stand as one,
To honor all that they have done.

A single mother's pain in front of a son

A 15-year-old’s eyes, sharp and bright,
Watching his mother through day and night.
She stands strong, but her heart feels torn,
In the classroom, she’s a beacon, but at home, she’s worn.
She teaches with passion, guiding each mind,
But when the bell rings, her smile’s hard to find.
Her shoulders, heavy, weighed by the years,
Fighting silent battles, hidden in tears.
Her lesson plans scattered, books left unread,
She’s up late working while he’s tucked in bed.
A mother and teacher, both roles she plays,
Sacrificing herself in so many ways.
Her hands are tired, but her spirit won’t bend,
The world asks much, but she won’t let it end.
He sees the tired eyes, the stress on her face,
Yet, she smiles when he calls her, offering grace.
She’s the heart of the house, the rock they rely on,
But there’s a loneliness that lingers till dawn.
A single mom, giving all that she can,
Hoping that he’ll grow to understand.
To the boy, she’s everything, a love so true,
And he silently vows, as the years pass through,
To lift her burden, to help her stand tall,
For the woman who gave him everything, after all.

Expiration Dates

Staring at an expiration date I start to wonder
If I do ingest this, will it be a major blunder?
Many times I’ve taken pills way past the date they say
And, although they’re not as strong, they seem to work okay.

Condiments that stay too long most often taste just fine.
Snack foods only lose their crunch when they have crossed the line.
I have eaten candy that’s been on a shelf for years;
Though I’m quite neurotic, this does not give rise to fears.

Dairy products need no dates – one sniff and then you know.
I toss fruits and veggies when the mold begins to grow.
Still, there are some iffy things and then I must decide;
My gut and common sense combine and make a nifty guide.

Sometimes all this makes me think that life might be a breeze
If we were born with expiration dates, like milk or cheese.
Many folks would fill their finite lives and be much stronger;
I’d ignore my date and think I’d last a whole lot longer!

Love Spell

Pleasure enflame through my entire being
This man, entices my lips to breathe,
Every moment we are touching.
His spell, his gaze, “they have enraptured me.”
And all I want is to give him a never ending kiss
For I have never experienced real love like this
Plus whenever he looks into my brown eyes
I always feel like I’m sitting on top of the skies

He's glued to my mind
And I crave him all the time
This man constantly put a smile on my face
And makes my heart beat fast
Like I’m running a race
I’m convinced that he had cast
A strong love spell on me
For I’m not the way I used to be
However; I love the new me now
Though he may have cast a spell on me somehow.

Premium Member HAPPY NEW YEAR

As usual New Year is ahead, Two Thousand Twenty Six to enter
Bidding bye to last year I welcome New Year, now shivering in Winter.
Coming year may bring new challenge and new thrill.
Dormant dreamy desires to follow and fullfil with new zeal.
Enthusiastic exciting plans I wish to experience.
Feeling frolic fo proceed and perform in excellence.
Great glamorous gorgeous glorious missions to follow.
Happy New Year appearing, I honour and make bow.
Initiating, inciting, igniting always the eternal truth,
Journey of life to run dynamic whether path be uneven or smooth.
Knowing my inherent strength to confront troubles
Life full of obstacles : I will struggle with my blood to bubble.
Making my family to feel proud and great.
Noble novel thoughts and ideas to activate.
       Overcoming hindrances at every step.
Patience to continue , never trying to escape.
Quenching thirst for new venture to start on new gear
Rolling up old year providing new space for New Year.
Scores of my last year are my assets and potential.
Taking oath to progress, dauntless efforts are essential.
Unison of Past and Present will invite perfection.
Vow of New Year is based on this realisation.
Wobbling and worries won't be allowed to last long.
'X', unknown of all problems to get solved being strong.
YES ! The Year 2025 year was old to expire in natural process.
Zone of the Year 2026 to explore to assess and access success.

The Magic Spell

A night fairy fantasy with a magic blue umbrella
levitating into a phantasmal world of silver dragon flies
She is a Fairy Damsel with 24 gold petals
dancing to the spellbinding tune of a Pixie Brigadoon;
Unaffected by time in this far remote little place,
everything is left behind, even reality...
Enter into this Sanctuary of pure Make Believe

and just like Mary Poppins who was wind blown from the east
you too can be transported into a time and place
where magic is sprinkled, with elective grace ;

A six inch Fairy with a whimsical pose
is calling out to you o'er a flaming cauldron,

Two dragonfly wings and a touch of fairy dust
here take a sip
if you find it too strong, we can always re-adjust.

Acquiring Adulation

You were like the proud king lion,
Strong with thick main,
No hair out of place deliberately.
Constantly parading by your pack;
Commendation stood tall in there,
No questions, phraseology or rubs,
The podium harmonised plans,
To scrub up for an alighting,
Before medium light settled;
Hereward stood better than the rest,
And all needed to agree with you,
Then you roared at me with jesting jaws.

You were like a bird,
Not specifiable,
Except by the RSPB,
In a crowd which could only brake,
Under a focused eye,
One son too unstable,
Flying through the clouds,
In a flock,
Only falling for a reason.

You were like the hawk’s eye,
On me, all the time, relentlessly,
To see if I wanted to follow,
Or else love the arm amputee;
My friends were not yours,
Your mind was not mine,
I was your perusal,
but I was also your feed,
To sicken or to satisfy.

You were like the bear,
Dangerous because you swear,
Calling people skanks,
Just for walking able-bodied;
Separation has its faults,
And Hereward students,
Were only assisted anyway,
To love able-bodied people,
For their sameness to us,
In mind, body and fashion,
In heart, beliefs and views,
In vision and in choices.

You were like the sheep,
Most truly, conclusively,
With secrets and shyness,
Insecurities filled your vision,
Until the leader in you died:
You resided within your norm,
Of wheelchairs being normal,
Mounting the ewe in incest,
To your sacred inside.
But you were frightened inside really,
If the truth is to be told,
Of enrolling in Coventry University:
Your Hereward lane,
Of educated brains,
Of medical people and care staff,
Of other disabled students,
Who had been in physio like you,
Made you recline into your sleep,
Didn’t let you live or jirate.
But you were my sheep,
And you lost your white coat.

X and Y

In a large room…
A crowd of people
Whispers and smiles
Relaxing music in the background
I stood puzzled
Turned around myself

Faces are familiar but names are forgotten
I tried to remember
This face was for X
That face was for Y
This one used to love me
That one was so harsh
I tried, I couldn't

Years passed
With all their sorrow and gladness
And here we met
After the sunset
That took everything
And left in a hurry

Debris of our souls
Shapes of our bodies
Our wrinkles
Our small eyes
The gray hairs
The mellow hearts

We might look old, but young inside
We might look happy, but sad inside
We might look alive, but dead inside

This one pretended to be fine
and that one pretended to be strong
I was just watching in surprise
Weaving a story in my mind
I sarcastically laughed at them
and at myself!

Expectations ?, - Nil !

Yet, I would still love your heart to beat out a tune !,
on a soft bed of multi coloured rose petals.
I would love to feel your heart beat, midnight till noon,
so softly, sweetly, fragrantly - a bed made of precious metals
to lay upon, to play upon, to make love on, under a full moon.
I would love for your thoughts, your feeling for me to be
a hive, honey combed, filled with sweet nectar from the bee.
I would love that your feelings for me be a positive flowering,
not the negative force, souring the moment, over powering
all the good that could come, that could be the you
I would love to experience, the you I thought I knew
- believed lived beneath that mountain of stone cold
indifference to me, those walls you’ve built, standing so bold
upon the shoulders so straight, so beautiful, so strong.
For you, you are always right and I am always wrong !
That seems to be the guard, essence, the tune of your song.

              Gargantuan, golden glimmerings.
              Gauzed, glazed and glorious...
              She, your gem-gypsy generator.

              Etched earrings, entice extraordinary,
              Elegance, embraces everywhere.
              Explosive evening, encircles an elusive
              environment!

She is strong, a sensuous, song-secret.
She, the soul sonnet you sought.
Spinning you in her silvery, sultry seconds.
