Premium Member The Lord Alone Is God - Deuteronomy 4: 32-40

Moses declares here the Lord is God
for what great things God has done
since He created man on the earth
ask all of heaven's host God is one!

In the midst of fire did any hear?
God's voice has been heard and is alive
surely not for God is the Lord
the only one that can revive

The mighty works God done in Egypt
seen clearly before Israel's eyes
who heard God's voice in their ears
to be disciplined by the Lord on high

Through this means God showed His power
by bringing them out of Egypt so great
so they received an inheritance to this day
leading them through to heaven's gate

In heaven above and earth below
God reigns supreme there's no other
obey His commands and life will be well
with Jesus HIs son your elder brother

(The Lord Alone Is God)
“For ask now of the days that are past, which were before you, since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other, whether such a great thing as this has ever happened or was ever heard of. Did any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live? Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, and by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him. Out of heaven, he let you hear his voice, that he might discipline you. And on earth he let you see his great fire, and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire. And because he loved your fathers and chose their offspring after them[c] and brought you out of Egypt with his own presence, by his great power, driving out before you nations greater and mightier than you, to bring you in, to give you their land for an inheritance, as it is this day, know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. Therefore you shall keep his statutes and his commandments, which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”)
Deuteronomy 4: 32-40.

I Am - the Truth

To what avail are scriptures etched on stones
If it’s true, we must feel it in our bones”
                                                ~ Author Unknown

My first question would be…
Who is it that etched scripture on stone?
Then why is such a distinction made?

Long ago, Jehovah called Moses to the Mount
and carved on two stones divine law for His people.
His covenant involved sacrifice for breakage.
In anger, Moses broke both the law and the stones
     shattering revered integrity in anger.

See, God’s people thought Moses was not coming back.
Perhaps God had killed him up there on that mountain.
Brother Aaron had let them shape a golden calf
which they freely worshipped instead of Jehovah.

God Himself engraved those basic Ten Commandments
which bestows a special significance itself.
But the second real distinction came later as
His people realized, man cannot keep God’s law.

What is the next question?
Why must scripture be felt in our bones
More important, what is the truth discerned therein?

The same Jehovah called Jesus Christ to the cross,
conferred forgiveness for lack of obedience.
Jesus’ own words are the truth He came to reveal
when He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life.”
No one can come to the Father except through Christ.

Hear these words from major prophet Ezekiel -
     God will remove their hearts of stone and grant them peace;
His spirit will dwell in the hearts of believers. *
Promised Messiah had come, Israel’s King of Kings.

Royal throne, the cross where Jesus was crucified
and thorns were the kingly crown they placed on His head.
     His perfect submission, example set for man;
His grace and mercy within us proves His true worth.

John 14:6 and Ezekiel 36:25-28

* the scripture from Ezekiel 36:26-28
"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God."

Premium Member Faith Analysis

When challenged to ponder about inventory of survival-status
my mind succumbs toward sublime intellectual deconstruction
yet conquering spirit emerges to prevail with blissful glow
for triumphant testimony, exposing meaningful existence.

Analysis of faith’s wholeness
Exposes my vain worthlessness
Humbling me to seek God of grace
Completing me with love’s embrace.

When confronted vis-à-vis my understanding about the Almighty
with this vital spiritual question, "Do you really know God?
my predicament regarding the divine was then put into the crucible
an encounter that has become a milestone in my faith venture…

Faith-inquiry for the first time
Awakened my soul with blest chime
While pointed to God Who’s the way
The truth, and life I must obey.

When invited to a Bible study “to know the Lord all the more”
I declined many times being settled with my religious status
asserting that I believed in God, having been raised going to church
with parents and home, considered as good and well.

Bible study of faith-venture
By God’s prodding midst love-gesture
Did lead me to His gracious heart
And through trust, never to depart.

When I acceded to the spiritual endeavour expounding Who God is
I learned from the Scriptures His testimonies, precepts, and statutes
as well as His grace, mercy, and compassion, power and wisdom
that define and describe HIM as the Lord, and distinguish HIM as the Saviour.

Scriptures indeed exalt God’s name
Expressing what His truths proclaim
Granting me peaceful pardon peace
Thus, my skepticism did cease.

When I responded to the Holy Spirit’s gentle working
my soul received the promised life eternal offered by Jesus Christ
along His assured genuine freedom from iniquities’ condemnation
setting me toward heavenly abode along victorious journey.

Fortified faith upheld by God*
Ascends along His guiding rod
While Him I praise, thank, and worship
Serving Him through sweet partnership.

*Jude 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Miracles'

Did you know that God has performed many miracles?
Quite the sight I bet, parting the Red Sea must have been a spectacle'
He did this so Israel would pay homage,
For God taken them out of bondage.

After Pharaoh watched his armies perish,
Did Israel grasp this and really cherish?
The price Pharaoh paid, along with his son.
Knowing that he pronounced the curse was from his tongue.

Couldn't wait they're faith waning,
They (Israel), made idols and continued praying,
Moses on Mount Sinai, getting the law,
His people singing, dancing down in the draw.

Moses returned, became good and angry,
Smashed the tablets, earthquake came suddenly.
Moses, hated them at this place and time,
They knew not what they had done, what a price to pay for that crime.

The Lord was angry, more then He ever had been,
They idolized a golden idol, Moses was heartbroken.
Later, the Lord continued to perform miracles,
Through David, who was fearful of the Lord, putting our Father at the pinnacle.

In Acts 13:2, " A man after God's own heart."
Within David, God and Spirit were never apart.
Wisdom was given to David, to rule justly.
Decisions from the Spirit, made David mighty.

David with many others are called prophets,
To have wisdom and the Holy Spirits knowledge.
God commanded to keep His Sabbath,
Exodus 18, clearly is the law and it's message is mammoth.

God made a covenant shortly after,
Special people, to His flock, thereafter.
The Ten Commandments, God's spiritual law,
Israel and God agreed to this, Holy without any flaws.

From Moses to David, and a covenant for sure.
To follow the statutes, and have a Spiritual cure.
God commands through His Holy Book, to be faithful,
Do this, and your Lord will bless you, and you'll be eternally grateful.

Now today, is the beginning of Passover.
Reminding Israel of another promise to escape death, the real story right to the core.
Then the weekly seven days after, unleavened bread,
The night the Pharaoh cursed all the firstborn, ans all Egyptians first born were dead.

So in closing, Our Lord is a Spiritual judge,
He angers when we forget to fear Him. and He does hold a grudge.
Obey the Lord, be humble but bold, and sincere,
He will forgive you, you, me, his flock, whom He loves so dear'

Jesus Christ Is the Author of Salvation

Salvation is not simple altar call, but it’s a life-long process, never a one-time experience.

Salvation is for one who endures to the end shall be saved and the one who is faithful until death.

Salvation is not just reciting the Sinners Prayer but to have faith and belief in Christ and be baptized in the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, gain knowledge, pray often, confess and forsake sins, and endure to the end, abound in good works.

Salvation is not found in any other name, but Believing in the Lord Jesus Christ and you and your household will be saved.

Salvations are not based on pick and choose the bible verses which to follow and ignore but balancing scriptures rightly from beginning to end.

Salvation is the gift of God given by grace through believing, repenting for sins, trusting, obeying, serving and following Jesus Christ

The power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Gentile and making every effort to enter through the narrow door.

Salvation is not a formula but saying “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.

Salvation is not a personal feeling but true and genuine believing in Jesus Christ and crucified for the forgiveness of our sin, and believing that He was raised from the dead.

Salvation is not belonging to a particular church or denomination to get saved but salvation is keeping us from falling and being filled with all the fullness of God.

Salvation is not just a behavioral change, but Receiving Christ evidenced by the fruit of change in hearts, thoughts and behavior, acknowledging the need for Savior for our lost condition.

Salvation is not a reward for the good things but becoming free from sins, guilt and from Satan's kingdom and becoming a servant of righteousness.

Salvation is not man-made church invitations but becoming a new creature and a member of God’s family by keeping all Gods statutes and all Gods judgments.

Salvation is not attending church every Sunday but it is the God who brings salvation to all men, justified by the blood of Jesus Christ, reconciled by His death and believing in the gospel which is the power of God unto salvation.

Adjusting Appetizing Palates.
I have sampled the variety,
I am the one who has tasted life;
The one who has had a taste of life.
Rarely indulged in the main course-
Seldom a full meal-
I come hungry-
To leave satisfied...
I want more substance.

Sampled the world on wooden toothpicks.
I have had itty bits of everything.
Piecemeal offerings to try entice my loyalty.

Old ladies with new recipes passing
them around on trays in supermarkets of the world.
I come back for more free samples.
The more I have traveled the more
I have sampled life.

Moi-Moi- and peanut butter stew.
I have tasted life with different seasonings and spices -
Tried a variety of cultural dishes - Some bland, some spicy
Tried the soul food of each one's pride as
I swallowed mine.

I have never gained control of my soul.
It wandered with me sampling life on platters.
Now desirous of healing-fish soup.
I wanted more – Traveled;
Partook of more –

Tasting life's offerings from the - rich to the poor.
Drank out of Chrystal as well as tin cups.
I have eaten from Chinaware,
and drank from gourds,
I have supped on
Hors-d'oeuvre and canapes';

Inner-voices led me to hot rocks and tepees—
Sweat camps with medicinal potions.
Tasting life in places where strange
medicine men reside.

I have eaten rice in 2000 languages.
In Asian and Indian tongues.
I swapped collard greens for callaloo;
Then stepped up to taste breadfruit -
Filled up on Ackee and Saltfish a
Exotic palatable dish.

Though never full off of life –
Not gluttony statutes yet, I have done
more than get my “whistle wet"
Still, I am glad:
“Oh, how grateful to be alive”.
Able to sample the tender morsels
of appetizers so fine.

Even though I am a
Connoisseur of fine wine.
…and have enjoyed plenty
tidbits of earth’s great bounty--
In this life.

I have supped in the finest cuisines.
Treated royally as if I were a queen.
I have supped in mansions,
or sat, an ate under exotic trees;

Yet, there is nothing so satisfying-and no one abler.
As to be back in the hood, trying not to go berserk;
Waiting for a slice of Sweet Potato pie for dessert.
After getting my grub on, at Grandmas table.
