Abrupt change
Wet rain pours;
Misty landscape scene

~~~~~~~~~
Roadside kerb
Walkway water puddles;
Splash of speeding cars
~~~~~~~~~

Wet window panes
A thousand droplets;
Random pattern

~~~~~~~~~
Umbrella parade
Wetness everywhere;
Rush for cover
~~~~~~~~~

Jagged lightning
Electric sizzle;
Trees uprooted

~~~~~~~~~
Massive traffic jam
Old giant tree falls;
Two road lanes blocked
~~~~~~~~~

Little people drenched
Colourful raincoats;
Cutesy parasols

~~~~~~~~~
Wetness soaks
Wet shoes busy;
Rainy commotions
~~~~~~~~~

Touch of flu bout
Sniffles and cough;
Sore throat lingers

~~~~~~~~~
Drowsy dizzy feel
Flu hits the roof;
Bedside manners rest
~~~~~~~~~

Blur sensations
Mind groggy here;
Too much medication

~~~~~~~~~
Rainy day people
Stay indoors;
Wetness hurls cold
~~~~~~~~~

Bronchial nuisance
Coughing bout chokes;
Heavy breathing hiss

~~~~~~~~~
Floria Floria Protantious
they recreated the virus to find what would naturally destroy it
research had shown that re-evaluating what existed to find
what might exist could
allow us a greater understanding of the virus.
from mutating and regenerating
to overpower any cure or remedy we might find or create.
it must be sustainable
it must rejuvenate
it must destroy what is currently infectious
and it must allow the body
to rebuild it's own immunity against those parts of
the virus which might remain
in the body.
when the host rejects the present company
it will demand to be strengthened
all systems that have been contacted by such alien presence
must have the opportunity to restore it's self.
these nutrients are to strengthen and not undermine what the body is trying to achieve
if the body is in restoration and protecting itself from the complications of being
exposed to the infections of the virus.
Premium Member IM NOT GOING TO SCHOOL
I`m not going to school
I`m not going to school today
I just want to stay in my bed
My tummy hurts and my feet are sore
And I`m getting a really sore head.
My nose is runny and I have a sore throat
And I think that I`m catching the cold
But my mum just doesn’t believe me
She says hurry and do as you’re told.
It`s my first day back since the holidays
And I’ve not had this teacher before
So I`ll say nothing fits and my shoes are too tight
And I can’t even walk out the door.
My shirt is far to itchy
And I can’t seem to do up my tie
And mum looks like she’s not going to help me
As she stands there and lets out a sigh.
But I’ve got hair like a grizzly bear
It sticks up all over the place
My ponytails loose and I’ve no time for braids
And I can’t even tie my own lace.
I`m not going to school today
I have to sit next to the boys
They`re pushing and shoving and talking to much
And I can’t concentrate for the noise.
They chase us all at play time
And the boys all tug on my sleeve
We have to tell our teacher
To get them all to leave.
I`m not going to school today
I don’t like when we get gym
There’s far too much running and jumping
And I never get to win.
And then it`s Highland dancing
To the sound of a ceilidh band
We have to partner with the boys
And hold on to their hand.
They march us up then march us down
Then swing us round and round
The Gay Gordon’s and the Eight some reel
My feet don’t touch the ground.
I`m not going to school today
We never get to use the loo
We had to wait till playtime
And my face was turning blue.
My classrooms always too hot
And my face is always red
Don’t make me go to school today
Just let me stay in bed.
I`ll let you stay of school today
If you promise to go out and play
Because it`s not Monday like you thought it was
It`s Saturday today.
Premium Member Siouxsie's Sore Throat Broke Me Down
Many years ago in the mid-70s
music was my idol especially concerts
Glasgow's Apollo was my regular venue
loved night's there fabulous to be a cert
The Queen of Punk in these times
Siouxsie and the Banshees was a doll
so had to book when Siouxsie was due
really excited when gig was near my call
But on the day Siouxsie took a sore throat
so the concert canceled was a real blight
look to hear 'Happy House' being 'Spellbound'
'Hong Kong Garden' took me 'Into the Light'
On the night traveled up to be let down
the gig was off so drove back home
halfway home the car broke down
left alone in the wilds, need to phone
I saw a house way out on its own uphill
went and asked to phone my dad, please
so he came up the A77 but drove past me
stunned I was left to look up at the trees
Thankfully dad realized having missed me
turn around and found me waiting on roadside
so towed my dead car all the way home
that night in my thoughts did always abide
(This is a true tale when in my mid-20s when a canceled concert by my fav punk band 'Siouxsie and the Bashees' left me stranded in the wild country in the evening but rescue came to pick me up.)
Suicidal As Kings
I couldn’t tell you why I died
I couldn’t reason with your hurt
I know you’d like to know
Why I couldn’t further my efforts
Time tears ripples in us, you know
And nothing seems to last forever
So you might as well get over it
And the rain continues its descent
Here’s to the tyranny of we men
I’d kill myself on paper
With only revolvers left to spin
But only my sorrow leaks
From within the quivers of my pen
I can touch a little bit of Listerine
I can’t seem to get my hands on my liquor
Will someone tell me exactly what it’s about
Or will the weather wash away my doubt
I used to think I was unbreakable
Now I just want to sooth my sore throat
Why don’t you have another cigarette?
And all your fears you just may forget
Here’s to the tyranny of we men
I’d kill myself on paper
Evolving my thoughts to an end
But only my sorrow leaks
From within the quivers of my pen
I couldn’t move you
From the vaults of your worries
I tried but I couldn’t save you
We are but suicidal kings
Healing
Healing comes from God above
Just one of the miraculous things that he does
some healing can be slow
some healing comes fast
But Gods healing is a healing that will always last
if there is any area that you need healing today
the answer is just one prayer away
God is faithful God is true
God is the one that can heal you.
For James my son,  Lord thank you that his healing came fast
others dont quite understand how he had an operation and was home just 5 hours after
surgery, it was so awsome he experienced your presence, your Great love, your healing
power and you helped him beat all his phobias in just a click of a finger, he was scared of
going in lifts, scared of the though of a needle and scared of the thought of operations but
when he had to go you took it all away, he was free he trusted you with his little heart and
you pulled him right through with out any pain, just a simple sore throat from the tube to
keep the air waves open. THank you Lord and may many others come to know you and
experience your healing power Amen.
 psalm 50; 15  the Lord says Call upon me in the day of trouble, I shall  rescue you and you
will honor me.
genesis 28;15  what's more, I am with you and will protect you wherever you go.
God never breaks any of his promises amen.   God bless you james your faith is strong well
done for holding on to Gods promises keep them carved into your wonderful heart.
Premium Member In Collaboration of the Morning Dolly Parton Could Not Sing
It is another late check-in entered,
Anticipate one hoped to had ventured,
The guest, country singer Dolly Parton,
Year lemon juice appeared in a carton,
I had an unopened one behind me,
It had caught her eyes in plain sight to see,
In a very raspy voice, she whispered,
"Can I have that drink, for this poor songbird..."
"...(lifts her hands to her mouth) has lost her voice..."
"...mama done told me, lemon juice was choice..."
"...for a sore throat, and I will pay for it.",
I told her not to worry for one bit,
I will get one from our fridge in the back,
Upon returning, told her what we had,
Done for her, "A junior suite with a tad..."
"...Of the heater turned up, and our special..."
"...Turn down service, that includes a schedule..."
"...List of a boxed assortment of candied..."
"...Sweets that were prepared by our pastry chef..."
"...A red rose now sits on your turned down bed..."
"..."After informing housekeeping ahead..."
"...Of your arrival, a carafe of tea..."
"...Of special blends, and another pastry..."
"...Chef concoctions of baked treats have all been..."
"...Delivered by our room service staff, now..."
"...are there more, that I may assist somehow?"
"No, you are blessed, that, I can see, thank you!"
Checking out, she said, "You always came through."
 ***Then, the City of Oakland held 'Day On The Green' concerts at the stadium complex, hence the entourage of entertainers. Please note that parts of the conversation is not verbatim but was made to the purpose of the rhyming scheme.
Premium Member Behind Those Heavy Doors the Sterile Corridors
Cradled in her loving arms,
Swaddled in his cotton cloth,
Still Born.
Her piercing cries split through the air,
Thundering,
Echoing,
Behind those heavy doors, the sterile corridors.
Deafening silence
He bowed his head in disbelief,
Father,
Shaking like a leaf,
A lump,
A sore throat,
A whipping of the heart.
She took the baby close to her,
Peaceful,
Final,
Sleep,
“Breathe, little one”
“Wake up please”
She whispered
Denial
Hope
Evaporated like the morning dew,
Tears heavy on her cheeks,
She knew.
He knew.
Nothing any one could do.
Behind those heavy doors, the sterile corridors.
His grief, their grief,
A tear ran down his cheek,
He clasped his face,
Eyes red,
He sobbed,
Robbed,
Immense their loss,
His heart wrenched,
A thud!
He collapsed into a heap,
Behind those heavy doors, the sterile corridors.
Loath to part
She gave the baby up,
Her pain,
Anger,
Hate,
God,
Fate.
The nurse,
A job,
Her curse,
To Bare witness,
Pain,
suffering,
Loss,
Behind those heavy doors, the sterile corridors.
Super villain
I have never seen such a supervillain in my life ,                                                        It's the novel disease, COVID-19, it's alive ,                                                    It began in China and spread worldwide ,
A history of dry cough followed by a sore throat .
                                                                                                                                        It has triggered the largest global economic crisis ,                                             And lead to a drastic inequality among the countries,                                              The death toll around the world is increasing ,
The cats and dogs have been infected by it.
                                                                                                                                  Why has this pandemic become so serious ?  ,
We aren't keeping a distance from others,                                        Forget to clean our hands and feet ,                                                         And never forget to wear a mask on mouth .
                                                                                                                                  How did our ancestors manage these diseases?,                                                       They sprinkle cow dung water before the house ,                               Drink neem, turmeric, lime and ginger juices ,                                           And wash their feet before entering into the house.
                                                                                                                         The pandemic breaks hearts but opens our eyes,                                                                                                        We remember practicing our traditional methods ,                                            Life is trying to teach us something ,                                                Learning new things save us from the cruelty .
Less Than Human
Oh, I have become
Satisfyingly numb
Conceal the way you feel tonight
Oh, I have succumb
To a saturated crumb
Deal with the pain I feel damn right
I...have...become...undone,
A neglected, sad boy
Ease the dread frustration
Just give me some joy
Give me this bravery
Give me attention
The right that's loverly
Feels like I'm in detention
But, Lithium gives a helium high
This rum and coke, I can't deny
Give me something more
Not this feeling of sore
I will soar somehow
I want to, want to now
Not another pill to swallow
Or I'll feel less than human and hallow
Heartache and sore throat
Got me by the gravity afloat
Got me in your grasp once more
Just let me free through that door
I have been down with the fever...
Yet, I survived and am a believer...
I...have...become...undone,
A neglected, sad boy
Ease the dread frustration
Just give me some joy
Give me this bravery
Give me attention
The right that's loverly
Feels like I'm in detention
But, Lithium gives a helium high
This rum and coke, I can't deny
Give me something more
Not this feeling of sore
I will soar somehow
I want to, want to now
Not another pill to swallow
Or I'll feel less human and hallow
Just think for a moment
Don't you want freedom?
Gotta start to repent...in my only tent...
Captivity makes us feel numb
Don't you want me to be happy?
Instead, you make me feel crappy
I...have...become...undone,
A neglected, sad boy
Ease the dread frustration
Just give me some joy
Give me this bravery
Give me attention
The right that's loverly
Feels like I'm in detention
But, Lithium gives a helium high
This rum and coke, I can't deny
Give me something more
Not this feeling of sore
I will soar somehow
I want to, want to now
Not another pill to swallow
Or I'll feel less human and hallow
Oooh...let me feel love above all
I'm sick of being as stiff as a wall
I wanna belong, so I made this longing, tear-jerking song
Hoping someone out there can relate and sing along...along...
I wanna be gone, so I grab remaining hope
I wanna belong, so let me sing as I hang on this radiant rope
Boy, I...have...become...undone,
A neglected, sad boy
Girl, ease the dread frustration
Just give me some joy
I never meant to annoy...
I want to...I want to bring you joy...
Hm, a bravery
That's loverly...
