Listen to poem:
It is another late check-in entered, Anticipate one hoped to had ventured, The guest, country singer Dolly Parton, Year lemon juice appeared in a carton, I had an unopened one behind me, It had caught her eyes in plain sight to see, In a very raspy voice, she whispered, "Can I have that drink, for this poor songbird..." "...(lifts her hands to her mouth) has lost her voice..." "...mama done told me, lemon juice was choice..." "...for a sore throat, and I will pay for it.", I told her not to worry for one bit, I will get one from our fridge in the back, Upon returning, told her what we had, Done for her, "A junior suite with a tad..." "...Of the heater turned up, and our special..." "...Turn down service, that includes a schedule..." "...List of a boxed assortment of candied..." "...Sweets that were prepared by our pastry chef..." "...A red rose now sits on your turned down bed..." "..."After informing housekeeping ahead..." "...Of your arrival, a carafe of tea..." "...Of special blends, and another pastry..." "...Chef concoctions of baked treats have all been..." "...Delivered by our room service staff, now..." "...are there more, that I may assist somehow?" "No, you are blessed, that, I can see, thank you!" Checking out, she said, "You always came through." ***Then, the City of Oakland held 'Day On The Green' concerts at the stadium complex, hence the entourage of entertainers. Please note that parts of the conversation is not verbatim but was made to the purpose of the rhyming scheme. Date: 08/28/2019 howmanysyllables.com 28 times a perfect 10
