I belong to you by right,
because I indefinitely possess
your captured heart;
and I can't settle for anything less!
Your innocence and true smile,
quickly tempted me to do
the unthinkable and the impossible;
like a lightining out of the blue...
you led me all the way through,
and made miracles happen for two!
I belong to you by right,
believe it with all your might;
I can make big things happen...
make a rainy day shine brighter
than that unreachable star
and bring you closer to Heaven!
Love can make every heart come alive,
and we shouldn't let it slide;
but love that incredible moment
with passion and sentiment!
I belong to you by right,
yes,let's become one tonight;
I belong to you by right...
let's believe in what feels right!
If ever I should
Race for Hell
Swear on my grave with palms begging to be nailed
If ever I should
Hope for the best, enter my home as a guest
Mention I love you, and simply forget to think of you
If ever I should
Now why should I pray when I got arms to bare
Alarms to scare, violence to share
Live this life by a strict sense of principles
Wash the sins from my flesh and hope my past is rinseable
Why am I so eager to constantly please
Help those that lost their feet, back to their knees
Give others both my hands, help them stand
When selfishness is my main feature as a man
And the truth is, I can't help but think of you
Grip your hands and whisper I love you
Must we discuss how I lost your trust
Look into a crystal ball
And vision a future that doesn't consist of the two of us
Gun in palms, rehearsing a common verse from Psalms
No father figure, holding his daughter in arms
Place her on satin pillows, given a good night charm
In all hopes loves relaxes on her covers and keeps her warm
I surrender take me to his cross and nail me
Scream in blasphemy as these demons trail me
Mistakes keep calling me back
Heartaches keep me falling on tracks
And I know my soul is shallow
Forgive it being constantly in battle
A Family Man
Lately I can see me providing for a family
But it's all weary thoughts aside from the demands in me
Why do this, why do that
Seems daily I lie dying on a tear soaked mat
Teachers wanna beg on me for childhood memories
All I've had is abusive tendacies
Hence forth and back to thee
Yet still I can see a family man, a softer me
The characteristics I offer to be
No more jumping homes, it's not a foster plea
The martial status of we, undo what they see
Pictures of my most wanted misery burning
A cast so rationalized in fear
It's only here to see me turning
As I satisfy my bitter aches with this funnel
Such a long tunnel, an impossible journey
Haunted thoughts of a family man, a softer me
No time realm could alter we
Back to stretch my muse
A dried up vision, died confused
Nearly bruised, alternatives misused
If I should fall from this stairway
Grab me and salvage yourself another day
It's only fair play
I could do a lot worse than a snare could say
Form:
This is what I’ve become
So this is who I am
Again! This is what I’ve become
So this is who I am
It takes this art to see
At most times my conscience takes apart from me
Still my people show me no love
Even hell knows I’ve been cursed with a gift from above
Try to teach him, but he resides with morbid thoughts
Until I am gone, my soul orbits my loss
Told me once but I do not learn
Like that of these timely hands
I will not turn
And as you think of him
Your mind will constitute that he became your rapture
Your only selfish capture
Here I am lost and alone
Even after your premonitions has shown me gone
I see the truth and consequences
Still my response is senseless
And on to those fiery pits, I’ll be on my way
When a Siberian nation can no longer wear mitts
You will know it’s become my day
This is what I’ve become
So this is who I am
A lonely boy,barely seventeen,
writing sad and lovely words
from a small room with open shades
overlooking Everett's skyline:
a lovely and quite town
in the suburbs of Boston...
Mother,distance is counted in miles,
but to miss what inspires me
is quite unmmeasurable
and verbally indescribable
mother,days become nights...
and momorable moments
cheer me up when I should cry,
and be comforted by your tenderness!
Daddy, left from this very place of truce,
with a glance cold and undignified,
his plane flew over Long Island
where you courageously thrive on;
he betrayed both son and spouse!
Airplanes roar over the discolored roof
of this huge and abandoned house;
the yellow-chested parrot repeats
his funny and banal jokes,
unable to make me smile and laugh,
because inside a sorrowful heart
there's no place for joy and growth!
Mother, the heavy snow is covering the roof-tops,
and the firs and pines welcome it with zest;
but I feel the coldness and can't rest...
until I see the gladness back in those eyes!
Does she ever speak of me while she's roaming all around
Does she ever say she's sorry for the way she put me down
Does she still have the prettiest, bluest eyes in town
Tell me now, does she ever speak of me?
I wonder if she realizes what she did just wasn't right
I wonder if she cries when there's no one else in sight
I wonder if she reaches out for me in the middle of the night
Tell me now , does she ever speak of me?
Does she still light up a room just by walking in the door
Does she still turn people's heads when she walks across the floor
Does she ever let you know what her heart is longing for
Tell me now, does she ever speak of me?
I wonder if she knows that I loved her from the start
I wonder if she knows that I prayed we'd never part
I wonder if I asked her if she would return my heart
Tell me now, does she ever speak of me?
Does she still wear a scarlet ribbon in her golden hair
Does she ever talk about me and the times we used to share
Does she ever close her eyes and wish that I was there
Tell me now, does she ever speak of me?
Another charming woman is
sharing with me what I used
to share with you without guilt,
even without a sad feeling or thought:
to find a substitute for this loneliness...
for that deep void you left inside!
The cell phone always rang
at the end of the evening;
and I was so thrilled
to hear you at the other end:
to listen to the sweet words that were
able to turn an uncaring man
into a gentler and kinder one...
and I learned how to care!
Oh,how I long to hear that voice again,
and like a dream that needed litttle dreaming:
you came knocking on my door at dawn,
and I let you in without hesitating...
so earger to touch you like nobody could;
so impatient to invent a magical world!
Another night is coming to haunt me mercilessly
with the beautiful memories and secrets
of two close hearts loving endessly;
what other choice do I have...if not look away,
and tell myself that you don't exist in my thoughts...
to find a substitute for this loneliness?
When it’s all over
The world’s gone cry
When it’s all said and done
The world’s gone miss me in life
When my beds lay remains before the sun
The tribulations
In which we each triumph
My tragic fall
The steps that keep me running from home
The righteousness that evades
As I slowly trespass into the wrong
The mistakes I achieve
They allow me
To continue writing song after song
When there is no further distance
Than the unknown in which we roam
When no eyes are upon you
Yet the world knows everything in all
My very existence matters not
I welcome you to my end
My suspending fall
Stillness my vacant eyes dart around to feel,
Evening’s redness is sliding into night’s lap, a glow alights its appeal.
Road that converges into my apartment building seems lonely,
Each window awaits the arrival of beings who are homely.
Now I sit on the swing perched on my terrace garden,
Every time I look at the green mountains, my stare it hardens….
Every bird I can see flying homeward in flocks,
Valiant squirrel it runs around from coconut trees to garden rocks,
Every leaf from the tree is closing itself to the world,
Night slowly creeps upon me its shadow unfurled.
Insects crowd around the light on the terrace wall,
Now it’s time for me to listen to the wind’s whistling call.
Grand wind chimes on the roof make sweet melodies as night befalls.
I'm not afraid to die anymore.
It happened when I realized what it'd really been like to be young.
There were all these things coming in,
and all of them fascinating,
like the unbiased smiles of potential friends
on the first day of school.
When I didn't expect the pain to last.
When I didn't acknowledge that laughter would end.
But everything does,
all the good things and the bad things,
eye to eye, hand in hand.
I'm not afraid to die anymore.
Ring around the rosie, we all fall down.
A cheerful song for death,
because when we were young,
we didn't divide the lines
between right and wrong so quickly.
I was hateful without knowing hate,
self-indulgent without apology,
loving, giving, happy, sad,
and for a little candy,
anything could be forgotten.
And everything will,
so I'm not afraid to die anymore.
Now I'm older,
and the smell of rain on the sidewalk
tries to remind me what it was like.
Sometimes I slow down and let it.
There was the sound of church bells,
when they didn't remind me of the failures of god.
Dogs could entertain me for hours.
A movie watched a hundred times,
and a song replayed daily, for months on end.
For everything, I ached.
For anyone, I grinned.
That was then,
but it turns out that none of it was really lost,
that can't be found.
All I had to do was hit the ground,
after losing a thing I loved too much.
And get up to find that I could walk
with less care than was learned,
with a little less love than what was bought.
With less attention, the little things distract me now.
With hands that are open, but don't attach themselves too much
to what is felt, I can touch almost anything,
and nothing can pull so hard.
Not even life.
Not even death.
