I feel the rhythm very sad and slow
You’re gone from my eyes and I’m feeling low
The pain of the chord the singe of the guitar
Sooths my soul even though you’re far
I need to hear the verse when we are parted

The whisper of the drums and the keys of the piano
I’ll be much better when I hear the singers solo
The kiss of your life I wish it was here
Please play that solemn melody so I can hear it clear
