It's Harassment, Baby oops
By: Tom Wright
8/19/00
These things offend,
know I, tis true.
in these, I've been schooled,
now I tell them to you.
An innocent touch, a wayward look,
a word or threat aimed another's way.
Is today, considered harassment,
and that party has final say.
Were not to needle, mock, or jab,
to razz, or quip, gibe or jeer.
To scorn, roast or ridicule,
and whatever you do, don't leer.
It's best that we not banter words,
deride, intimidate, or taunt.
Should you be one inclined to joke,
these too, you must not flaunt.
We must not rile another,
even though it be in jest.
Sneering, too, is not allowed,
so put those thought's to rest.
Another's traits never mock,
nor offend with apparel you doff.
Find not within reason to knock,
while daring not to scoff.
Belittling another isn't right
nor take occasion to tease.
But other than these few things
treat other's as you please.
In meeting, should I, not extend a hand,
and appear to have little to say.
It won't be because I am snobbish,
but fear a Tort Lawyer coming my way.
I gained back all my trust
after I freed myself from guilt,
and not suffered much from it;
ah, bravery taught me a lot!
Because of this hurt,
I hid myself behind a shadow,
every thought was full of sorrow;
whatever happened to faith?
I hoped for a serene tomorrow
to explore joy and feel its worth:
all turned out to be a quirt...
digging gold into dirt!
I wanted to feel alive,
transform bitterness into sweetness,
flee from the adumbral prison
where I was held captive by fears;
I admit to have been too lonely:
a complete wretched in isolated region,
no naive to befriend and run away,
where folks loved to drink and connive!
Nobody offered empathy
and true understanding,
they never reached out
but showed embitterment
sneering, staring and wondering
if I deserved the harshest
and cruelest punishment,
for having done much harm
to others with malicious rage!
I shouldn't have treated then evilly
and remained gratified and calm!
Because of this hurt,
nights are brighter than a desert,
moonlight has a luminous glow;
I'm a ghost aimlessly wandering,
not knowing his destination!
I'm the doer who failed to follow
his aspiration and ambition,
not redefining thought and feeling!
(MAYBE YOU SKIP THIS ONE HUH)
All alone, with nothing to think of.
But thoughts warning of
bad things, to come.
Things, you dont want to entertain.
Things you really don't want to play the game.
Visions, swarming all too conveniently.
Them, knowing, all too well about what makes you uneasy.
What it is, that drives your fear.
Night's hazy phantom, is.
In the near.
The wicked that walks your way, is here.
And its pissed.
My dear.
Evil sits down, beside your dark place,
scanning, your very atmosphere.
Looking at what lies in shadows, stationed, beneath.
Then exploiting any secrets, there.
Secrets that will let them breach, from within,
within reach, of all of your fears.
I can only imagine the vibes you're receiving,
like your soul in flux, internally bleeding, tears.
From this, you can understand,
where this is leading.
In short, it means, their plans,
are going, as planned.
More to the point, it means,
"you're screwed, lost to the lost,
a plaything of the damned", cheers!
In the distance you can barely hear.
The giggles of the Devil's children.
Getting louder, drawing nearer,
and playing ring around the rosey,
noise maker and twister.
Sneering in the drawing mirror.
You can picture them taunting,
pointing, while in dancing-a jig
for disaster.
Pointing out the fallen, fallen on you.
Curious to see, what they can see.
By tasting fear, feeding its sucklings
by the pits and roots- the succulence-quickening.
Now the mood has all turned to the darkside.
A real bummer, like a sun-downer,
on the dark side of the moon.
These things offend,
know I, tis true.
In these I've been schooled,
now I tell them to you.

Blue Hole
Caught between a high and a low
Wild winds created
Sneer at my sunlit scenes
In surrender -
Begging to share luminosity nascent -
Slamming clouds together
In tight hollows
Where my interrupted dreams cower -
Unfinished ravished rainbows,
Stuck on jagged mocking torrents,
Find no escape to share
Their arching colors
In hallowed hues
No path to slide upon empyreans of illumination
Or slip through invisible’s elusive seam
Come then gone
In jeering contempt
Blue to azure sapphire atmosphere approaches,
Turquoise tamed in twilight,
Slow rending open a hidden wrinkle
Forming a wide womb
No black hole of taunting lamentations
Like a devouring apocalyptic apparition
Of scorching laughter
Only an ever widening
Hole on wings of blue with serene edges
Sweeping away unholy hollows
Beckoning wide eyes
Look up! Embrace sight
That rises up on eagle’s wings
Shaking off the sneering winds
And mocking torrent’s tantrums
Reside in aromatic views of valley’s paradise
Stretch into enigma’s rubric mystery
Come from nowhere to somewhere morning glory essence
Through my hallowed blue hole in the sky.

I jumped a bit when the hearse was slammed.
My bones were brittle, and I felt quite damned.
My flesh was starting to gray up, it gave a laugh.
My eyes were sinking, and I felt a draft.
She’s not in there, someone assured my kin.
I knew it was true because of the shape I was in.
I had been confused at the onset of death of course.
I was still angry as hell at that run-away horse!
Can I see her one last time? A familiar voice said.
I was horrified. I did not want this guy to see my body dead.
NO! I yelled NO! But did they hear me? Of course not.
They opened it up and he yelled “She has some dry rot!”
I hate you I said. Get out of my face. You are a worm.
I saw him flinch, back up, scream, and finally squirm.
Don’t let anyone else see me this way! I told the undertaker.
But of course, he did not listen, that sneering give me a hand shaker.
How many more times are you going to open this hearse and lid?
Why don’t you just toss me in the street? I asked my Uncle Sid.
They put me in a hearse and whisked me away in the night.
I was relieved when I saw angels and headed straight toward the light.
The selfish thoughts in your mind take up arms…
Moving through the inner chambers of your thoughts.
Your ego, sharp and frosty as winter--
prowls among others, leaving its mark and sneering.
Patience huddles in the corner…
folding her hands and cooing ;
“We each go back to the earth when our hour finally closes.”
The ordinary moments lean close ,
laying their hushes against your ear.
Kindness leans in, pressing a hand to your shoulder,
watching Pride storm past.
Understanding walks at your side ,
its steps measured… its counsel sure.
Breathe in slowly and remind yourself:
“Goodness moves with me into every moment."

Approach yonder rack, O fearful
Meretrix;
Wouldst here weak flesh reform
Beneath the buckled and tightening
Strap...
That which be transfixed by thy
Fearful gaze.
Lo...A confusion befalls upon thee,
My Meretrix,
Your whirling emoitions trapped
Inside encroaching walls,
Floundering within neurons confines,
Of a brains inwardly collapsing maze!
As throughout these crowded
Corridors
Of your hectic and turbulent mind...
You reach...
And grasping,
Desperately grope for your senses
Like some wretched entity
suddenly and Inextricably struck
Blind!
Laid down on this cold slab of
Submission;
Slowly to be freed from all moral
Restraints;
To be joined to me through subjection
Of attrition.
Just as thee burgeoning weight of thy
Guilt
Compress upon all diminishing
Resistance -
So then the growing appetites for
Mine deeds
Become thine indulging subsistence.
For I will accord you the wealth of a
Mighty nation
Such as any sprawling empire has
Ever seen.
Lift you higher above any royal and
Regal station;
Lavish upon you with precious gems
And encrusted tiaras...
Taken from the fairest head of wise
Solomons
Most beautiful and loveliest queen.
And I will serenade you with a song
From whales,
A lullaby from dolphins sing:-
Drawn from the chants of silky haired
Sirens tales
Whose treacherous wiles pollute upon
An ocean wind.
Hear ye, Meretrix, the mermaid
Blowing upon the Conch shell,
Her broad fluke thrashing between
The spray:-
For none that linger shall live to tell -
Once their foolish ears are led
Horribly astray!
I shall grant thee eagles wings
So you may climb and soar
Above all the fragile worlds of puny
Men;
These Neanderthals and ignorant
Apes,
Whom all thee sneering Gods so
Much deplore,
Wallowing in avarice and filth of
Lowest denizen...
Whilst slowly sinking into this foul
And stinking mire
Forever and for evermore!
Scream, scream, and scream
Sometimes, you want to scream
But you cannot, you just cannot
You can no longer dream
You just cannot, but you cannot
You cannot eat, you cannot fall asleep
But can only imagine and think deep
Nothing is possibly going right
And you know that you must fight
To go on, because so much is at stake
And you must grab the flag, head or take
The leadership to struggle, to protect
And to save so many. Respect
Is what you earn when you win
Success is what you deserve when
You defeat the hypocrites, the bullies
The wild henchmen, and the enemies.
The enemies are alert and watching
The serpents are sneaky and sneering
You must be the best that you can
By being a silent fighter, a brave person
Sometimes, you want to scream
But you can no longer dream
Even though you can't scream, don't give up
Never, never give up, because hope
Is the last resort. And miracles
Will happen to the ones, not at the tables
Because they are now too weak to speak
And too powerless to reach the peak
But do your best to scream internally
Scream inward and mumble to be free
Words cannot be killed and murdered
And words can be silently muttered
All the victims will mumble, in unison, one day
Like the irate thunders of a treacherous storm
To charm the hopeless and to sound the alarm
From a good fight, you shall never walk away
God is always watching and listening
You and I must not be afraid to scream
We must find a way to dream and to ring
The bells of opportunities, to stream
Like the flows of a thawing river in spring
Yes, you and I must stand up to chant and to sing
The songs of success, the words of peace and freedom
So the deaf shall hear and we shall overcome
Scream, scream, and scream
To wake up the dead in their dream.
