Blue Hole

Blue Hole

Caught between a high and a low
Wild winds created
Sneer at my sunlit scenes
In surrender -
Begging to share luminosity nascent -
Slamming clouds together
In tight hollows
Where my interrupted dreams cower -
Unfinished ravished rainbows,
Stuck on jagged mocking torrents,
Find no escape to share
Their arching colors
In hallowed hues
No path to slide upon empyreans of illumination
Or slip through invisible’s elusive seam
Come then gone
In jeering contempt

Blue to azure sapphire atmosphere approaches,
Turquoise tamed in twilight,
Slow rending open a hidden wrinkle
Forming a wide womb
No black hole of taunting lamentations
Like a devouring apocalyptic apparition
Of scorching laughter
Only an ever widening
Hole on wings of blue with serene edges
Sweeping away unholy hollows
Beckoning wide eyes
Look up! Embrace sight
That rises up on eagle’s wings
Shaking off the sneering winds
And mocking torrent’s tantrums
Reside in aromatic views of valley’s paradise
Stretch into enigma’s rubric mystery
Come from nowhere to somewhere morning glory essence
Through my hallowed blue hole in the sky.

Thank you so much Belle. This theme brought many moments of looking at the sky especially as the sun breaks through our morning fog - so grateful to be able to experience the joy of seeing the sun and sky appear through mist and clouds! Sending you blessings of "serene" blue holes and clear skies!

Very imaginative! Rich imagery flowing gently from line one up to the last- I like your idea of a blue hole nowhere else but in the sky. Best wishes. A sure win!

Many thanks and much gratitude JCB. So happy you enjoyed shared my blue hole in the sky - a portal and an open door. I think of Debussy's Sunken Cathedral that raise us up into the eternal ethereal! Hope you are well. Blessings of ethereal blue hopes to you!

Your poem travels up and above the clouds into the azure blue sky where our thoughts about heaven and dreams will one day hopefully come true. I am not assumptious I will reach there and have been no angel, but not too bad I guess! Bless you Sam always, Jennifer.

Hi Jennifer! Thank you dear friend! Looking at the depthless blue sky does remind me of the depthless love drawing us up with a perpetual invitation to look up! Like you I don't assume but hope to keep seeking the truth depth of that heavenly blue hole. Have a feeling we will be writing and singing without the restrictions of time! Many blessings of clear skies to you! Sending a hug!

Dear Rose, thank you so much for your visit! Your words really gave my heart a lift! In the morning we often get think clouds of fog. When the fog starts to lift it often starts with a blue hole and I find myself looking up and being raised up in anticipation and hope! All the best dear friend! Blessings of a cloudless day to you!

Hi Gina! Thank you so much. This contest theme was the source of many moments of pondering and exploring its many facts. It gave me the chance to look up! We have had windy, cloudy days over the last week. Such a thrill to watch the sun break through the gloom creating a blue hole. So grateful for your blessings! :D Sending blessings and a hug to you!
