Yeah... yeah...
Husband at the tire shop, grease on his hands
Slips out the back, has a different set of plans
Comes home stinking of perfume and lies
Wife a bank teller, counting bills with her thighs
Smiles at the window, takes a number, takes a man
Closes out her drawer then opens hers again
Cheating and bleeding, both spreading the same
Tire shop husband, bank teller shame
Drug resistant in Chickasha like tears in the rain
One man’s mistake turned a whole town to pain
yeah, yeah
Both cheating and bleeding
It’s in the blood just the same
na-na
Husband caught it raw from a north side fling
Brought it home like a damned souvenir ring
Wife took the gift, passed it down the line
Teller by day, hooker by night, showing the signs
He sits on the jack, stares at the lift
Feels his body slow, feels his future shift
She counts the money, body count too
Neither one saying, blood work they knew
Now the husband coughs, tires stacking high
Can’t lift the wrench, can’t look them in the eyes
Still smiling at the window, still taking the cash
Sleeping around, with a wink and a flash
Redneck buddies laugh, don’t know the score
Trailer house talking but the truth’s next door
One shop, one bank, one sickness in the blood
Cheaters dying while the whole town burns down
Both cheating and bleeding, both have the stain
Tire shop husband, a bank teller’s shame
Closes out her drawer then opens it again
Drug resistant in Chickasha like tears in the rain
One man’s mistake turned a whole town to pain
yeah, yeah
Both cheating, both bleeding - na-na
Both cheating, bleeding,
It’s in the blood just the same
Tire shop husband, a bank teller’s shame
What say you now, before the crowd, for these most heinous crimes.
You're a wretched sort, to face this court, in most uncertain times.
A capital charge, against your heart, for loving all who live.
It's against the law, to serve your God, to sacrifice or give.
Hear me judge, for I will never budge, not an inch or mile long.
For when I die, you'll hear them cry, and remember me in song.
I accept your charge, against my heart, all I did was offer food.
For the hungry, broke, and weary, can still find a use for good.
Do you understand, standing before your peers.
You broke our rules, now seem a fool, I propose a sentence here.
Twenty five, not short of one, with all the reason to fear.
For a would be hood, does not as he should, which is simply to avert his gaze.
Instead you helped, those meager welps, find some further days.
It's the interest of all, to see them fall, and build upon their bones.
For we cannot gain, while they remain, sleeping around our homes.
Hear me again, oh dishonored bench, were it simply up to you.
Not a single face would sit, the jury and its pews.
I did no wrong, I yield none, and I'll fight you till the end.
For I am one, knows right from wrong, who's knee will never bend.
I plead guilty, most accursed court, take me as I am.
But know that I'm a lion, to be slaughtered as a lamb.
What say ye now, oh jurious crowd, the defendant has had his chance.
What motion carry, to find you merry, did his words change your stance.
Or is he guilty, traitorous and filthy, render me verdict now, and remember as you do what verdict pleases the crown.
The jury bickers, amongst itself, and finally one does stand.
She's old, and weak, and frail, and looks upon this man.
By power of the people, we see you just, now release him as you should.
For all will know a feeble day, and wish a Robin Hood....
Green grass,
Blue skies
Sick people,
Sad goodbyes
Dark days,
Empty nights
People dying,
Violent fights
Frightened kids,
Scared moms
Divorced parents,
Lost bonds
Starving children,
Bloodthirsty thugs
Innocent victims,
Kid's with drug's
Devil worshippers,
Constant crime
Shot of a gun,
Nothing is fine
Confused youth,
Careless adults
Child abuse,
Countless faults
Selling drugs,
Peer pressure
Spreading aids,
Prostitute pleasure
Daily abduction,
Victims of rape
So much pain,
Few ever escape
Turning to suicide,
Ending a life
Psycho path killers,
Blade of a knife
Agony of loss,
A broken heart
Painful love,
Being ripped apart
Homeless people,
The joy of hurting
A love child,
So many uncertain
Pregnant teens,
Unstoppable s.t.d.'s.
Ashamed heritage,
Dangerous obsessions
Opinionated critics,
Unwanted suggestions
Killing family,
Betraying friends
As today begins,
Yesterday ends
Hopeless tomorrow,
Doubtful future
Destroying the mind,
Sickening humor
Never--ending sickness,
Too much disease
Does it ever stop?
Someone tell me please
Animal torture,
A newborns cry
Abandoned infents
Do we even try?
Sleeping around,
Simply for lust
Deceitful lovers,
Losing all trust
Breaking the law,
Getting away
Courtroom injustice,
It's the victims who pay
Who is wrong?
Who is right?
Criminals admired,
Have we lost sight?
Broken famileis,
Few who pray
The doubtful outlook,
Getting by each day
Forgotten morals,
Money hungry fools
Disgraceful greed,
Those who use
So many questions,
Yet so few answers
The wanting to know,
Happens much faster
When did it happen?
How did it start?
Who is to blame?
For letting our world fall apart?
I guess this is what you would call life.......
Merry Christmas
my love
It’s another day we sing God’s blessings
Distance may separate us but
God’s love is the same everyday
Distance memories occupy my mind
Distance thoughts of our first good Friday walk
Our first kiss on that lovely Sunday
All ringers in my mind as I write this
Naive you were if not drunk with love
Foolish I was if not a fool I was
To think I could win a woman like you
First without a job
Second without money
Third without an overflowing wallet
But God made His way felt in us
Not money nor my account won your heart
For despite my failures;
God won me your heart
Yes without a single shilling
Yes without any candle lite dinner
Yes without even a single date
God did the impossible for me possible
You left your rich boyfriends for me
You forgot about class and started low in the society
But slowly pride grew
You forgot where God took us from
Without applying for a job I got one
Without even any experience
You witnessed God raise me up the success ladder
But you became cold and started been distracted
Because you started believing am sleeping around
I didn’t need to for God watched over me
I didn’t have to for you were enough for me
But pride later on destroyed us both
Today am not single because you only cheated
And you defiled our bed
No;am serving for my sins that I committed while you were my wife
Sins i could easily avoid but I didn’t
Regretfully I have suffered family rejection
Regretfully I pity the life our son is living
Regretfully I fear that Christmas at your home
Is just a day of wishful thinking because
You are always scolded for making me your decision
One day God willing you and I shall be called to testify
What sin or error did we do that is not forgivable
What sin did our son commit to know rejection and depression
What error is this that you can’t ask for pardon
What Christians are we that we substitute even what can’t be changed
Divorce or separation of couples is a no go zone
This is just a pile of wishful thinking
But reality is in your heart and mine...
God protect you always

I am comfortable with dogs, because they make me feel safe
Three of them guard me, sleeping around my head and hands.
My husband is also a comfort; I have known him for sixty-eight years.
Since we were four, it would be impossible to be uncomfortable with him.
I am a poet, an artist, a writer, a painter and a cartoonist.
I am comfortable with all of these monikers; they complete me.
When my children and grandchildren visit, I am totally at peace.
Comfortable with my life style, my life choices and my enchanted forest.
I live in an underground house in the woods, with two dog doors.
We have raccoons, skunk, fox, deer, turtles, snakes, and other creatures.
None have come into the dog door, but I am comfortable with them
My dogs will chase the woodland creatures out if they wander in.
The Truth
The way I feel
For years our love was a thought
No true nor false
Lies the whole time
Love wasn’t there
You cheated everywhere
We had two different storms
Your rage was Thunder
My understanding was flashes of lightning
Kingdom that came alive
I was used a puppet only stringing along
My love was true and committed
You on the other hand was looking for an opportunity
You blew it like a flat tire
You weren’t the man I thought
I too was sleeping around
I found someone who loves me for me
Step back as you are no longer who I want to see
Every verbal word you attempted was recorded and accorded for
Your hidden heart brought out the truth
You deserve to be on a curve
You are getting what you truly deserve
Get out of my house and life
My mind is clear
I don’t want you near
I am not your dear
I have no fear
A new day in my life has turned into a new chapter
You no longer matter
Get Out
Babe, babe,
It's all winter outside,
Come inside,
It's all winter outside,
We can work it out,
It's all winter outside:
I need you here with me.
It’s all winter outside,
There's no sunshine outside,
Come inside, we can work it out;
I know I did you wrong,
Stayed out late at night,
I want to make it up to you.
Babe, babe,
It's all winter outside,
I've been so selfish,
It's all winter outside,
Spent more time with my friends,
It's all winter outside,
Left you all alone.
It's all winter outside,
Didn't understand your pain,
We fought all the time,
Made our home not a home,
Until the time you left;
There is no woman like you,
I gave it all a blind eye,
And took your love for granted.
Babe, babe,
It's all winter outside,
Let's leave the past behind,
It's all winter outside,
Please give me another chance,
It's all winter outside,
Without you I am feeling the chill.
It's all winter outside,
Can't you feel the frost,
I wasn't sleeping around;
I just want to be back home,
There is no sunshine outside,
Babe, we can work it out.
The question persisting
What really is love?
When you choose to open your heart full of honesty
About sleeping around tryponosomniaclly
Is love forgiveness?
I cannot do what you need me to do
With that information am too invested in you
Only the pope can cleanse your sin and forget
You are catholic in loving, remember that all too well
Is lying in love, love and compassion?
I would rather you lie to me if when you sleep
I have made my peace with our sin
Seems to be the only path to happily ever after
To commit to those who lie well enough
The question persisting still is
Why you would think honesty is needed in love.
Barely out of her teens, just seventeen
To be like the rest, she has to be seen
Peer power, to be amidst, life's pressure shows
Her hunger to be accepted, internally grows
Dark corners she turns into an unseen abyss
Becomes a parents nightmare, she's still in wish
No matter their words to allure her to family life
Peer power, she's amidst, deeper in strife
From alcohol to drugs to sleeping around
What becomes of ones daughter, so quiet and sound
Then came the day, but does their nightmare end
Their daughter so precious, into darkness descend
Peer power has taken, entangled she has become
No longer is she amidst, her blood no longer runs
Bravado, call it what you like, was a bridge to far
Peer power, now just forgotten, a momentary star
