Premium Member Things I'Ll Miss

Bags all packed and ready to go?
I wish that were the case.
Tossed some clean clothes in the trunk,
With some things I can’t replace.
Won’t take time to be ready to go.
I don’t wanna see her face.
Leaving behind lots of junk;
Getting out of her space.

There’s some good stuff that you should find
At Saturday’s yard sale.
Cowboy boots, mechanics’ tools--
Nothing fancy or upscale.
You can have the gal I left behind.
You’ll get her better than wholesale.
Watch out, she plays dirty pool,
And puts her men through Hell.

Things with my gal were getting cold.
It’s time for some upgrades.
Nothing there was working right--
Need a new gal ready-made.
I want a gal that’s better than gold,
Without charades or masquerades.
Saint by day, sinner by night,
That’s easy to persuade.

(chorus)
I’ll miss my worn-in cowboy hat
And slightly worn-out clothes.
I’ll miss my rig and lariat
With the yellow Texas rose.
Counting all the things that I gave up,
You could naturally infer—
Though I’ll miss a lot of my old stuff,
I definitely won’t miss her.
Yes, I’ll miss a lot of my old stuff,
But certainly not her.

Premium Member Platonic Love

Our platonic love

Love. What is that? Love or love? Between? Between us?
Or between God and a sinner? Love kids, feel hearts

Hmm, maybe I am a suffering companion of platonic love
Yes, maybe no. But real my love. Real is my only love; bye

I loved this woman, a warehouse worker loved an arrogant...
… an arrogant heart, a life, a life, but she didn’t need lives.

I loved this arrogant English woman, hmm, my heart is broken, dark
There is no light, dark caress on my face and in my soul; Love?

Please, you are a memory in my life, but understand me, like
I am yours, just find my life, and our lives, they are in the sky

Platonic love, you are in the cloud of my mind, loving an airy heart
Yours, all the emotions are yours, and I understand you, this is sure

Premium Member Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Love is a verb, has action you should know
Actions speaks louder than words
You may say your gonna do something
But you're still sitting in your reclinner
Actions speaks louder than words
That pot you've got on the stove will burn
Actions speaks louder than words
On the football field the coach calls the plays
But actions speaks louder than words
I'm a sinner, saved by grace I've repented
But actions speaks louder than words
You said "I do" as well as "I love you"...
But actions speak louder than words
You say you can, as well as you can't...
But actions speaks louder than words
To build a brick house you need workers, mortar, brick and stone
Alas, actions speaks louder than words
Your driving you run a stop sign, get pulled over by a policeman
But actions speak louder than words
You brag and boast that you can cook, yet you can't even boil water
You stand in front of the stove and you don't even know
How to turn the eye on
Actions speaks louder than words
Now you may read these lines, comment and say their find
Your actions speaks louder than words

THE FACE IN THE MIRROR IS REAL

I open the jar and I came out
I close the door and I stayed in
I looked at my life and I have sinned
The face in the mirror is real
I walked on the grounds and my feet swell
At this pace in my life if I don't changed I'm destine to hell
I looked at my life and I have sinned
The face in the mirror is real
I git in a car and I drive away
Travel far I gather all the bugs on the windshield
Mercy on me Lord I'm a sinner
As I am trying to run away from sin
Visions of old, new of late
Passions of time early debates
I will STOP turn around I'll repent, before I run out of gas
Post haste I won't be late got to hurry
before the sun goes down
Spinning my wheels on the ground....
Glancing at the rear view mirror I yet behind me
The face in the mirror is real
The face in the mirror is me.......

Redemption Shoestring

Redemption from self
An invisibility cloak
And sharpened dagger
No matter the tumultuous weather
Hail , Thunderous, Lightning
Could tame
The pain never stop's
Even if you stare at the tulips and the corn crops
Because redemption never forgot
It feeds off the rotten
Poem's and curses
No human Doctors nor Nurses
Can say for certain drug's will cure
Whether Pious or Impure
There is no cure for the Sinner or Flesh
Only a departure notice
From this world to the next
Will connect the dot's
And answer the questions
We feared to ask
Because if we knew
Everything life put us through
Was all in vain
What was the point of all the pain
And suffering discussion
What is right
And what is wrong
And why did I forsake
And mistake
The gift
I held without knowing
Each and every day
Was more precious than the last
I wish I had never past
I wish I miss
I was
For a second
Remembered

I'M Human

It was sweet
Is what I have to say
The apple of misdeed
I knew the consequences but I failed to obey
It was tempting
That's my reason for sinning
I sleep right
Though you call me sinner
There's good in me
But I know you remember the bad
Even if I say forgive me
Truth is I could beg but you will still not forget
So I hope there's a price to pay
An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth as they say
Take my blood to clear my name
I'd like to start of with a clean slate
What do I got to do to make it up to you?
Everything eventually becomes the past
Memories, I'd like to make a better one to last
Thats my reason for trying my best
Won't you give me a chance to make amends?
If not, I hope I tried will mean something in the end

Shelter Me

Shamelessly roaming around,
Making fun of my life all year round
Shamelessly combing my hair,
Making fun of my life’s utter despair

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Shamelessly shelter me now,
Making laughter louder somehow
Shamelessly soaring so high,
Making sense in what I do, I try

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Show me the Way in which I need to go
Shaking off the feelings of unbelief a while ago
I’m still a woeful sinner till this day again,
Wondering where my youthful mind has been

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Just shelter me from harm with your might
Wearing the sweater in this weather at night
I’m still a sinner in heart...broken apart...
Pondering what my mind can share from the start

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Imagination

LC

I bought an eighty-inch TV,
just for the box—
set it up like a teepee.
Jump in like tee-hee!
Throw the screen out the window.
Let it crash.
Now there’s an 80” stuck in my lawn,
and people slow down just to whisper,
“Wow… this guy’s artsy.”

Turns out Mary didn’t even have a lamb.
She was just a crack head

Life is better made of lead—

Anyway—
I’m the Wall King.
Just walking.
Dripping with metaphors,
casually passing a bar
so packed with puns
I can smell a librarian’s breath
from the sidewalk like:o
shhh… no talking.

I wave.
Web spinner, sinner—what’s for dinner?
Probably canned beans and regret.
I’m a different thinker.
Opened my brain like a paint can
and painted the gray
a little pinker.

No dreams.
Noted.
Polyurethane coated.
Polly, you’re a pain
with your coats and coats
and coats of—

Breathe.
Breathe useless airs.
Angel lets me breathe.
Devil always stares.
But I cares…
I cares. I cares!

That’s when I hear it—
“Hi, I’m Death.”
Oh hey.
Didn’t expect you this early.
Death shrugs:
“As a frequent spectator…
take a side quest.”

So I do.
I walk down to the park
where squirrels are doing calculus
and pigeons speak in Morse code.
I sit on a bench made of half-memories
and I think:

Energy is everything.
It exists inside your mind.
Space is confidential.
Which is why we keep
bumping into each other’s
potential.

Suddenly—flashback.
Sandler, on TV,
taught me about my oblongata—
made connections like:
“Hi, I’m the brain. What’s up, pain and suffering?”
And I answer: Nada.
Then I freeze.
Manual breathing activated.
Chest rising like it has stage fright.
Autonomous… imagination…
and a Beatle told me once—
Ob-la-di, ob-la-da—life goes on, too.

And I laugh.
Because I’m sitting in a teepee
made from a TV box,
eating cold soup with Death,
and nobody can tell me
this isn’t art you see.

Premium Member Arms Wide Apart

You do not know what tomorrow will bring;
What is your life, son? You are but a mist.
Arrogant boasting and harsh words that sting:
seek the Lord's will instead, that which persists.

What is your life, son? You are but a mist.
Vanity, vanishing, withered and blown:
all has been given you; none do you own.

Arrogant boasting and harsh words that sting,
blessing one moment, then hurling a curse;
even your prayers attempt to coerce.

Seek the Lord's will instead, that which persists;
cleanse your hands, sinner, and purify heart.
Come to Him humbly, with arms wide apart.

Premium Member With God I am victorious

In you my God I trust
I shall never suffer the shame of defeat
My enemies shall never gloat over me
Cause you are my shield and armour
I shall never rebel against you
Reveal more to me your ways oh Lord
So that I do not stray from your path
For I trust in you my God
Lord you have always been kind to me
Your constant love has always been my compass
Forgive me Lord for occasionally straying from your path
As all mortals sometimes do
Teach me again for I am a sinner
The path I should follow
For you are a just and righteous God
You lead the humble in the right way
And teach them your will
And with faithfulness and love
You lead aright those who keep and obey your commands
Keep your promise lord and forgive me my uncountable sins
I acknowledge that those who have reverence for the Lord
Would always be guided on the path to follow
To prosperity and their children would possess the land
You are a friend to those who obey you
And affirms your covenant with them
I look up to you Lord perpetually
And you rescue me from all danger
Turn to me Lord and show me mercy
For I am lonely and weak
Relieve me of my worries
And save me from all my troubles
Lord consider my distress and suffering
And forgive me all my sins
You know I have many enemies
You know how they hate me
Protect me Lord and save me from defeat
I run to you for safety
May my goodness and honesty preserve me
Cause I put my trust in you
O God save me from all my troubles!
