This unhappy man in the midst of opulence,
lived like a discolored pale precious stone
in a box of rare jewels, and was always sad,
like a dry wood in the lush verdant forest.
He got up one morning more dejected
than he was the morning before,
threw the flower embossed curtains
off the crystal clear window open to the sky.
Looked out to see, maybe for the first time,
the crimson sun rising in the flaming horizon
that painted an enticing fresco of rhythm
on the lilac flow of the meandering river.
As colors of dawn touched his pale heart softly
like the petals of the full-bloom spring flowers,
he heard the murmuring beckon of the river,
drifted to him on the wings of rustling leaves.
With a delightful sensation he never felt before,
he walked with his face flooded with purple sunshine
to the bank of the river where he saw a sand bar,
its golden slope cradling a small tree, its boughs dancing.
The enthralling scene he thought was the expression
of happiness and joy that he never knew existed,
that the lone tree could generate as it grew free
in an isolated barren bed of dry sand bar in the river.
So, he sailed across the beautiful blue coral sea
to a distant barren island made of silver sands,
and like the tree on the sand bar let his life take root
in the desolateness of nowhere under the azure sky.
The dawns ascended for him at the edge of horizon
with pristine display of chromatic colors to cheer,
in the midst of gorgeous sunset rhapsody
the sea gilded his mind with tapestry of liquid gold.
But he couldn’t spread his hands out in delight
through the embracing air toward the sky,
the way the boughs of the forlorn tree did in joy,
because he had made himself a barren island.

Gaia in white flame burns
Yaldabaoth himself spurns
A second cycle turns
The Golden Age returns
The first-begotten son
Comes down from heaven’s sun
Barbelo, Armoured Queen
Look gently at this scene
Of Christ’s birth long foreseen
In this iron machine
Hearts of iron will melt
Hearts of gold will be felt
Hearts, gold and meek
Will rule from the word’s peak
Valis will rule and speak
With the lute of mystique
This birth in mystery
Will be our victory
As Polloi rules here
The first child will appear
Clearing the mist of fear
Every past sin and tear
Will be washed away
Clearing a narrow way
The world soul will rain down
Hedera all around
Lilies to make a crown
Acanthus for renown
Myrrh, gold, and frankincense
Without any expense
All goats will return home
All blind cobras that roam
Will be under death’s dome
Miles under farms and loam
Sheep will not fear lions
Men will see aeons
In the stream of Dead Sea
He’ll become a man free
Oak trees will weep honey
On every wild thorn-tree
Grapes will turn Persian plum
Gold will be the plain’s sum
But iron will remain
At sea, war ships will reign
Wars will bring pain
Walls will cover the plain
But when you will grow up
Gaia will drink the cup
Please, come soon, in our plight
You, the viceroy of might
The globe bows to your light
The earth and the blue height
Beseech you to be set free
From Yaldabaoth’s dark sea
You, our lord and brother
Child, smile at your mother
Speak words from the Father
If your lips will not stir
No light will bless your wine
And wisdom shall not shine
(Gnostic poem based on the ancient Roman Virgil's fourth eclogue, often interpreted as foretelling the birth of Christ)
The Unholy Donut
Void, vacant, empty is my life
Of cream filled treasures
More value there than is the princess virgin
On Sunday where the need’s more urgent
After church and prayers
And rushing with a crashing passion speed
To donut shop with my craven need
Where is my cream filled donut please?
Did I not pay my last three pennies for my treat?
What’s this defeat?
Alas! My dreams are dashed.
The donut is there but not intact
Someone stole the sweet interior
Missing is the Bavarian cream
Absconded from the scene
Missing like a long lost love at sea
Lost like my mind and memory
And like my first love,
Pretty on the outside but empty within
Oh cold cruel world! Where could it be?!
What have I done to deserve such wicket fate and misery?
My just deserts snatched from me from the depths of hell
Some demon monster stole my soul and prize as well
And sold it on the internet I’m sure for pennies more
Advertised by shape, size and smell
Waitress? Oh waitress? Could I have another donut please?
But this time with a hole inside
….something to hold on to with no surprise
Till the day I die
Love's begun
I've been waiting here,
on the scene-only in my dreams,
has love ever come my way
Oh how tragic life is,
but, seasons change- it's so strange
everything is different today
Chorus
Love's begun...I can see it shine in your eyes
Love's begun I'm sure
(I've gotta say that)
Love's begun...I can hear it in your sighs
Love's begun for sure
Oh that longing for love,
has disappeared- now you are near
I don't have to wait any more
Oh just thinking about our love,
just takes me- and shakes me,
right down to my core oh oh
Chorus
Love's begun...I can see it shine in your eyes
Love's begun I'm sure
(I've gotta say that)
Love's begun...I can hear it- in your sighs
Love's begun for sure
Oh, you might try to say,
you're not in love-it's not enough,
I know why you don't want to tell
Oh I know the troubles,
in your past-don't go so fast
but, I know I've got you under my spell
Chorus
Love's begun...I can see it shine in your eyes
Love's begun I'm sure
(I've gotta say that)
Love's begun...I can hear it in your sighs
Love's begun for sure
Love's begun...I can see it shine in your eyes
Love's begun I'm sure
(I've gotta say that)
Love's begun...I can hear it in your sighs
Love's begun for sure
repeat chorus and fade

I can still hear the rumbling and drilling sound of the machine rubbing against the trees, and the dust absorbing the penitent wisdom of the futile murder scene. The loop bends solemnly underneath the fence and the rope swinging pitifully from the mercury head. I can still hear desperate voices calling out for help as I watched the traffic parachuting a hundred miles per hour along the forbidden edge, and the music playing softly in the deep resonating a message that is very unique. I kept following the sound hoping that it would take me where nature is bound but the cloud hanging above the mystical ocean without questions has suddenly become my innate passion and discovered the hidden wealth bottled up within me.
I stood on top of the pinnacle, and watched them scrambling around tirelessly in the open dessert, and the sweltering heat hitting against their bareback and perspiration dripping from their make shift frocks. As far as the light in my eyes could reach I behold glimpses of shadows strolling in long line across the desert resting occasionally on borrowed time. As the night presses upon their head, torches of hope pushes them along relentlessly into the open bed but destiny opens is arm.
It’s not the sound that perplexed me, it is the messages that it saturated in the air round about me, and the distance sounds disseminating in the open space is preparing me for another race, and in the middle of it all
my spirit still stands tall. The wind drifts slowly along with the blind folded figure head singing a deceptive song, the drilling is in the rhythm the knocking is in the singing, and the hymn is wearing a shoe that has screws.
The chronicle has disappeared, and the hopping, and the skipping the mocking and the jeering reappeared, a decade of unused stones piled up in a sitting gown wearing a brand new crown. They come from Denmark and they come from France and in the middle of Viking spree the Norwegians, sweated in the third degree. I could have penetrated the sound from the musical clowns but the timeless music from the street ascended into the hills, and captures the moment with a sudden chill and the merciless wind arose from the ground and cover the street with human bones.
I took my mum to slimming world
On every Tuesday night
She’d get her finest glad rags on
And beam with sheer delight
Not much of an adventure,
On the way she’d barely speak.
But she’d set her sights on glory
As the slimmer of the week.
With eager expectation
We queued up by the scales
Catching surreptitious glances
“Has she come off the rails ? “
“Shoes off please and on the scales”
Then handing in your book,
You felt your pulse start racing
When you dared to take a look
“Just a half pound gain this week”
“But don’t get too despondent “
The lady scribbled in mum’s book,
Like a weight gain correspondent.
“Have you checked the scales” said Mum
“They simply can’t be right ?”
“I think they need to be reset
Because I didn’t weigh that last night ?”
“Are you staying for the chat ?”
Said the slimming world consultant
“We’ve got some bars for you to try”
And mum looked quite exultant
“Would you like a raffle ticket ?”
I can still picture the scene,
When they drew your numbers out
And you won an aubergine.
“So how’s your week been Linda ?
Did you keep track of your syns ? “
“I just had lots of chicken breasts
But I didn’t eat the skins “
“Mark - our slimmer of the week !
Share your story with the group”
“I just ate Quorn and Quark all week
And pints of lentil soup”
Mum kept smiling all the time
While others told their tales of woe,
A Chinese meal that took its toll
Or a Hot Dog at the show
Brenda stormed out of the room
Just looking for attention.
“ I’ve not put on 3 pounds” she screamed
It’s just water retention
“See you all next week” said Sue
The hall’s needed by the Vicar
Mark, smiling smugly, swaggered out
Showing off his latest sticker.
On the way back in the car
Mum was smiling, full of glee
I said “what are you so pleased about? “
She said “ They’re all bigger than me”
Leave this shambles-filled world behind.
I furled alone, ignored by the rest of the world.
In the serene stillness provided by shielding.
I was suffering during a festive gathering.
During this foreboding gloomy twilight.
In the ending, I'm done with my vigor.
With the sweltering heat, simply hindsight.
The gorgeous moon was veiled by cloud cover.
Even if the hills are dark, quiet, and immobile.
Even if solid sunlight makes it awkward to excel.
The stress only tends to focus for a short time.
The scene was only a dim memory in her dream.
To find solutions, one must advance further.
Is it possible to alter one's giving character?

Drapes clashing from a clear, dark night
The remarkable scene- the risk I must take flight
Don't listen to all the commotion
You are an attrition to hunger
Save it for leftovers
Molded out of anxiety
Have no fear
Fate is far from here
Nurture in burning threat
Appease to sorrow
Deny it...no borrowing from the library
Take your flight, you sunlit fairy
On a cloudless, scarlet sky
The stars will motionlessly
Churn your fate to royal destiny
Take your flight, feel free to flee
Out of the grip of society's downfalls
Replace it with honor...be my hero for good
Your traits are nothing sinister
As a carefree, scarlet night
Conquer the unfailing life
Taking away all the sporadic soars
Please take away the malaise and
Don't burn me up, majestic star
Space of wonders
How could you burn our hearts?
How could you mutter those
Floating aspirations?
Canceling your circulations
Tangled by lips-spoken twist of lies
Pouring out misunderstood darkness
Outriding the black hole
Who knows what these dark shadows reveal
It's mysteries-- as hard as a bolt to a door
Thrive to carry on,
you carefree infant
Untie the tightening ceases
I'm unable to catch up...reach out
Overcome this rotting intuition
Severe, sincere sunshine
Hear my morning mourning
It whispers:
"Goodbye to midnight lust...
Good morning to betrayal"
Good morning...
To you, oh miserable soul!
River of weeping wonders
Pass by with a suitable
Recognizable, scarlet bliss
Send love swimming in
Open water
Fulfill it with
Morning deligh
I was sitting at my computer
All intelligent and nonchalant
When a personality profile test popped up
In the most interesting of fonts
I decided this might be fun
So I clicked onto the site
And right away started answering questions
On what I did and didn't like
As soon as the test was over
With my feet planted firmly on the floor
I hit the button enter
There was immediately a knock upon the door
What appeared to be three business men
All in matching suits and ties
With darkened sunglasses all around
Like Hollywood Movie Stars in disguise
Before I knew what was happening
They threw a hood over my head
And carted me off without the slightest word
Not a single Howdy-Do was said
My new found friends threw me into the trunk
Of a waiting limousine
Where just as quickly as they arrived
We all left the scene
We came to a run down abandoned Army base
In the middle of the desert
I had the feeling that what it was that was to come
Most certainly wouldn't be pleasant
They set me in the middle of a room
As men circled all around
I knew this had to do with the test
And wondered at it was they found
When in walked "The Bossarooni"
And said don't worry son we're not here to mistreat cha
We're just curious as to why
You like anchovies instead of pepperoni on your pizza
Sant's Village Rap.
It’s too cold up here in Santa’s Village
Where everything’s hand-made and vintage.
There ain’t no natural resources;
Just ice and snow, not even horses.
Got reindeer, y’know. Ho, ho, ho.
It’s hard to make so many Christmas toys
For all those good l’il girls and boys.
We must import exotic woods,
Metals, paints, and those plastic goods.
They ain’t cheap, y’know. Ho, ho, ho.
My elves all want a change of scene.
They’re tired of white; they want some green
They’re threatening to unionize,
If we don’t move to southern skies.
Ho, ho, ho. Froelischer Weinachen! Joyeux Noel! Horoshoe rojdetstvo!
Ho, ho, ho.
Mrs. Claus joined the picket line,
And with her went my reindeer nine.
Now Rudolph’s even on their side;
So there might not be no Christmas ride!
Ho, ho, ho. Sretan Bohzich! Feliz navidad! Buon natale’!
Ho, ho, ho.
I’ll kinda miss those northern lights,
Ice sculptures, snow men, starry nights –
No more invites to no Eskimo meals.
Goodbye polar bears, penguins and seals;
Ho, ho, ho. Vrolijk keerstfeest! Feliz natal! Mmeerrryyy Christmas! Ho, ho, ho!
