Life Will Return What You Give

How mean can a human get
When did you stop and forget
People feel hurt and sad
Being treated rude and bad
Your mind needs a big reboot
Before you go off and shoot
Another remark filled with hate
Take a minute, think and wait
How you would feel if someone
Made you cry like you have done
To folks who do not deserve
To hear strong offensive words
Remember we are all the same
It is mean and really lame
To judge others differently
Open up your eyes and see
The person in front of you
Has a heart that feels too
Everyone is similar
Let me make this very clear
Treating someone with disdain
Leaves you with nothing to gain
But a cold lonely existence
When your filled with no resistance
To change the way you've been acting
Leaving other folks reacting
With the heartache you inflict
And the life that you have picked

A room in my head called emotion

Controlled by various means

A thermometer reacting to the room temperature of others

The cold shoulder of silent indifference

Could turn the blood in my veins, to frozen streams

Other times, blood starts to boil with internal rage

The mercury of overreaction, starts to rise

The volatile instability, damages perception

I work hard on a solution for my personal climate control

I do, have a choice

Reactive thermometer or self-regulating thermostat

Someone else’s winter can be my thawing spring

Heated summer anger, can be a pleasant autumn day

That room in my head, needs comfortable stability

Self-awareness becomes the barometer of my emotions

Premium Member DIOS MIO--SAY WHAT?

Gus the parrot blasted into the treetops
like a feathered firecracker
with zero impulse control,
one eyebrow-feather lifted
with a you-have-got-to-be-kidding attitude.

He clicked his beak in judgment,
ruffled plumage with a flair,
then leaned in like a critic
who’s unimpressed with the air.

A twig snapped.
“!Dios mio… SAY WHAT?!”

A cloud moved.
“!Dios mio… SAY WHAT?!”

His eyes bulged, his crest shot up,
his whole body vibrating
like a tiny, outraged disco ball.

No one knew what he was reacting to.
Possibly nothing.
Possibly everything.

But there he was~
a neon blur of disbelief
shouting “!Dios mio… SAY WHAT?!”
at the entire universe.

Dear Donald John,

I could be wrong
yet you're not twitterish right
in singing Earth's happiless song.

What normal healthy
Left-Right wealthy
care most about
is what you continue
not responding to

And what we do not care to hear,
to become sufficiently LeftBrain clear,
is what you are reacting through.

Our cooperative cause is democratic health
and not at all
your further plutocratic
disempowering wealth.

We long to hear instead,
to prove you are not yet quite hopelessly dead,
your vision for healthy oceans
prairies
farmland
and forest,
mountains of wealthier days.

We long to hear
maturing love
from and for our co-arising depths
understudying
understories
understanding unhealthy ruins
left for right's decomposing salvage.

We ponder your,
as our own,
ZeroZone unknowns,
wending in wildless wilderness,
creolizing magic,
inviting WinWin cooperation games
and plays,
developmental programs
rather than reactionary pogroms.

We remain unmoved
resisting your ego's fundamental feckless fortune,
as we inductively reassemble
universe uniting one as also another
co-gravitation.

Cooperative systems
co-arise riskier integrity,
inductive reactionary Right
with responsive deductive Left,
potently synergetic,
resonantly seductive
sleek
wilder polypathic nurture configurations
of polyphonic cryptic resonance,

Secular Left twittering Western grateful diplomacy
with Right sacred co-redemption,
CoOperative Ego/Eco-Politics.

Premium Member The Lunatic Fringe

As days go, this has not been one of the best

But after giving myself a good talking to

I've realized not all days are created equal

It's the lunatic fringe that are wreaking havoc

Ask anyone on the street and I'm certain

99.9% are peace loving folks who just want

To be left alone to live a happy and peaceful life

But these degenerate sub humans

Insist on carrying out these cowardly barbaric acts

Randomly attacking totally innocent people!

However, by reacting irrationally, we run the risk

Of becoming as radical and evil as these lunatics

Calmer heads MUST prevail

Hopefully these barbaric acts will one day cease

They MUST cease in the name of all that is good!

Am I dreaming out loud?

The Sweetest Peach

Black or white prevails
I'm gray from inside out
The wind that guides my sails
What I'm all about

Most wear tinted shades
A gift I was not granted
Easily they spit blades
That's not why I was planted

Stand for one or fall for all
A quote that echoes my walls of thought
If only they could see what I saw
How for the truth, I've sought

There is no simple answer
Regardless how intensely I seek
It is a brain rotting cancer
Only what I feel, I can speak

It must be a life of simplicity
Aboard the common train
Mindlessly reacting viciously
Without witnessing the rain

Two sides to every tale
Assure that both have bruises
 They endured a different hell
Sadly, Each party loses

The time has come
 my trait, not an advantage
My insides are numb
A wound I can't bandage

The jealousy others encompass
Demands that I choose
The painful sound of trumpets
Leaves me with the blues

Something my mother quoted
About being the sweetest peach
Is a fact, I have noted
My dearest friends would teach

I Cannot Be Any Moar Pacific

I Cannot Be Any Moar Pacific!

A welcome reprieve
     against blistering hazy,
     hot and humid
     meteorological suffocating air

found me voluntarily
     hermetically sealing myself
     within a climate controlled
     one bedroom apartment

     this Schwenksville, Pennsylvania
     (actually originally Lake
     Woebegone) transplant
     getting acclimated to the

     summer weather in Zaire,
this country determined, sans
     while "blindfolded," directed,
     and guided while seated

in my state of the art bedchair,
hence such chance decision,
     where yours truly,
     would spend the following year

gunslinging, fellow
     shipping, and engaging
     with bountiful mutineers
     while piloting corsair

outlandishly ludicrous, incredibly
     flimsy, and carelessly
     held together by wirehair
with an equally

     ratty motley crue
     forcing yours truly
     to "FAKE" being debonair,
this (Baritone Horn playing)

     privateer did veer
really did mark hood
     lee did quickly
     twain tubby chief engineer

accomplishing (as
     resident poetic web stir)
     re: alias Muddy
     Waters ("Roger") unclear

breathing sigh of relief,
I did not go over with
     my trademark mind boggling flair
to sow confusion

     within the mindscape
     of one or more readers
     will cause him/
     her to go thermonuclear

ready to choke, gas, or throttle me
     as he/she doth glare
intimidating such prediction analogously
     like Moby Dick reacting violently
when Cap'n Ahab thrust a spear!

I live in Florida which is relatively flat…this means most of the time
the paths I walk are smooth and even…there are no hills to climb.

Today as I stepped out of my house the first thing I noticed was the trees…
reacting, just like me, to a gentle morning breeze.

Then…somewhere in the distance…in a tree…devoid of light…
rising from the darkness…an owl hooted her good-night.

Next the first bird to awaken began to sing her morning tune…
as that same breeze that moved the trees…pushed the clouds across the moon.

Up ahead, just around the corner…they always wait for me to pass….
a pair of rabbits with their silent smiles…sitting in the grass.

Soon more birds began to sing…a host of birds I could not see…
adding their distinctive voices to this morning’s symphony.

I did not know the melody…or the words to their morning song…
but, in just above a whisper, I began to hum along.

With my morning starting out like this…I know the rest of my day.
even though I live in Florida…will be downhill all the way

This Thing, Love

Due to popular belief. I believe that certain things are due to happen naturally.
Like all other things it's bound to grow. This thing, love.
We are due to become obese to this organic, homegrown feeling.

The initial look that begins as taste. Naturally we are starved.

Aroused by the scent that lures us close. This thing, love.

One thing we must learn is self control. To not over indulge in the primary reason it exists.

To selfishly take because it's there. This thing, love.

Effort exudes as it becomes habit. Being placed at a table readily available for what portion comes next.

This need becomes confused with want.

To please others before our need in unselfish manner. A straight forward response to habit.

The rising availability of also being taken for granted. The insurmountable outline that defines lust.

Our intake becomes higher attempting to justify the difference. Thus we become lazy.

Reacting in ways we normally wouldn't. This thing, love.

This scent acts as incentive,  instantly attracted by which we over indulge.

Searching for this thing, love.

It's a reasonable thing. Knowing when to reach. When to pull. When to give and sacrifice.

Almost always all of these happen, learning self control, vocalizing when we've had our fill.

Else we will continue to eat until there is nothing left.
Grown obese. This thing, love

I Refuse

My dignity MUST remain intact
while i conceal my lack of tact
i will still trust my instinct
to give up my “pleaser” stint

So in this particular instance
i CHOOSE to stay firm in my stance
against all this negging going on
Just give over with the egging on

I simply refuse to oblige
Your offer to indulge
in the tussle and rumble
inside a mud pen rife in grumble

I'll have to turn down for now
I just cannot afford, to allow
you, to nudge me into reacting.
From the way you keep on acting

i can tell you are really itching
to rip off all the stitching
where my heart was lacerated
the heat from your hatred

Is rather daunting for me
your words to this day, haunting me
Yet I refuse to be deterred
from my path, I won't be deferred

I'm intent on being true to my nature
i won’t hand you the aperture
to have me for your scapegoat
I won’t let you lay the base coat

to better showcase my unraveling
Your actions are rather revealing.
they clearly show ill intention
I refuse to give that any attention

I'd sooner revel in my newfound peace
build back my resilience by the piece
Soon, i will find a home for my presence
worthy of my energy and essence

I CHOOSE to align with values, that reflect
the importance of compassion and respect
