Melancholy, like a tipping light
Receives its glory within the spite
An hour of unrest bringing with it art
The wind blowing perils while seas do part
Like ransomed thought trimmed off the track
The gloomy, murky night does snack
Upon the weak that slowly fade
Into nurtured arches of gentle jade
Worlds apart have we become
Unified by scum of garish glum
Building word into world like brick upon brick
Worlds that commune—worlds that stick
She lifts her body into the tide
And curls up billions deep inside
Like a transparent ghost, see her flash
Scented winks through coated ash
Inspired by naught—yet risen from afar
A throbbing for purpose—a dying star
Beat of drum does not quake her being
Lashes close, too wet for seeing
Withered rest never falls on her days
The night closes upon her as she sways
Under bridges festooned in moss
She feeds on diseases, pain and loss
Where she goes, no one truly knows
Where she goes, she truly grows
Bird and beast find no arrays
Of her blackening faerie gaze
But of man does every smile count
For their minds do linger in and out
Grasping onto her rigid quintessence
Nearly failing upon the evanescence
Lacking all and full of dour
Man accepts its only cure
A flask of clear—of ***** agile
Tempered by tempests recruiting the bile
Howls of wind have blown its course
Emotions caught inside her force
None do sway so achingly free
Except the ever-living Melancholy
Poet’s wild fables of love’s souvenirs
Inked with fire or tears render passions creed
Ghosts reminiscent of past loves appear
Whose obsessions purge as a ransomed deed
A crowned fool of lovers our pen invites
Igniting hearts or be drowned in sorrow
Sweet words tumble or tears flood moonlit nights
Lit by starlit schemes musing tomorrow
Kings and Queens, Pawns in romantic stories
Each chapter written between truth and dreams
For artful love portrays splendid glories
The courtship circus reckons each sweet theme
Love does find its own, love does own what’s found
Its carousel in our heart’s madness bound

Roll back the tides of time, and tell,
Of ancient books of myths, of hell,
Of temperance, nuns succumbed to gloom,
Entombed within their living tombs,
Of monks, and saints, and gospel song,
Born gently by the breeze, along,
Of deep toned organs' peeling swells,
Of virgins, Mary, and funeral knells,
Of dim-lit cells and penance loaned,
Which can for one's darkest deeds, atone,
Look back and lift the veil of night,
And view the man, the anchorite,
There he sits, so sad, so pale,
Shuddering at superstition's tale,
Crossing his chest with meager hand,
While saints and priests, a motley band,
Array before him to urge their claim,
To heal, in the Redeemer's name,
To climb the heavenly ladder, made,
By every patron, of every grade,
From wealthy abbot, fat and fair,
To starving child, withering there,
All of them eager to usher in,
The soul, ransomed by It's sin,
And tell me hapless bigot, why,
For what, for whom did Jesus die,
If pyramids and statues of saints must rise,
To form the passage to the skies,
Would you think man can wipe away,
With what but penance, day by day,
One single sin, too dark to fade,
Beneath a bleeding Savior's shade.

FAITH IN GOD WHO CREATES IN US RIGHTEOUSNESS
God creates in us righteousness and true holiness
While upholding us with His might’s sturdiness
Toward vanquishing doubts for new-creation’s fullness
So that by faith, we can continue with supplication’s earnestness.
God creates in us righteousness and genuine humility
While keeping us ransomed against sinfulness’ infirmity
Toward enjoying eternal security from hell’s death penalty
So that by faith, we can live for Him according to His Scriptures’ authority.
God creates in us righteousness and virtuous purification
While convicting us to repent with sincere confession-action
Toward pride-breaking from haughtiness’ contamination
So that by faith, we can worship Him against worldliness’ corruption.
God creates in us righteousness and spiritual standard
While protecting us around His divine safeguard
Toward stewardship effectiveness against sliding backward
So that by faith, we can overcome trials, though hard.
God creates in us righteousness and good success
While advising us to submit to Bible-based learning process
Toward learning from His counsel upon His wisdom-braces
So that by faith, we can apply His counsel over earthly knowledge-forces.

Nourished on fertile ground* of good works’ harvests
my stewardship, yielded to the Supreme Creator
ceaselessly persists against impediments
blossoming for functional productivity…
Once a breeding plot of university secularism
my mind had its activism germinations
midst cynicism and skepticism weeds
along liberalism sproutings…
Then in the most opportune planting time
God, through His sent-out Gospel sower
embedded to my soul His seeds
spiritual truth for life eternal…
Hence, watered by the Lord’s mercy, nurtured by His grace
my life, the Saviour compassionately redeemed
from miserable sin-condemned futility
toward His favored fruitfulness…
Now on fertile ground within Christ’s green house
God’s Word flourishes despite pest attacks
in my re-created being, ransomed soul
converted heart, renewed mind…
Yes, I thank the Almighty for letting me thrive well
on fertile ground of His blessed service-vineyard
enabling my worship to glow with serene bliss
while leading others toward His light.
*Luke 8:15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

By the grace of God, we can follow* Him humbly
As His privileged children by virtue of adoption
Duly ransomed with His mercy’s offered redemption
And called to present ourselves to Him honourably.
With God as our Driver, we are led by His wisdom
Having been illumined from sins’ obscurity
Sanctified from iniquities for regenerated life’s beauty
Enabled to advance His heavenly kingdom.
Led by the Lord toward faith-propelled service-might
We are moved to fulfill function He has assigned
While brightened to shine as biblically designed
With His truth as guide along His love’s light.
Marching by the Supreme Master’s command
We tread stewardship road of faithfulness
Performing by His bestowed skillfulness
Obeying Him, trusting His blessed demand.

We are His ransomed bought with His blood against sin-case
Indeed, relying on Him in running the Christian race
Since He secures our faith through His wondrous ways.
God enables us to believe in His name by His working…
We are His citizens through His supreme marking
Indeed, following Him against worldly trekking
Since He guards our faith from hypocrisy’s lurking.
God enables us to believe in His name by His illumination…
We are His stewards enlightened with His sanctification
Indeed, cleaving to Him while thanking His assured salvation
Since He increases our faith toward ministry-optimization.
God enables us to believe in His name by His wisdom…
We are His disciples in advancing His kingdom
Indeed, esteeming Him along our spiritual freedom

supporting me by Your loving kindness
Thank You for accepting me and my offerings of earnestness
Keeping me near You, forgiving my confessed sinfulness
For my restoration from pollution’s wickedness.
