Premium Member Father Christ Jesus Cannot Be Trapped

In the passage before John 8:1-11
Father Christ Jesus frustrated the Jewish leaders attempts to entrap Him
But they turned with another test:
A woman caught in the act of adultery
They pretended in asking Father Christ Jesus for His judgment
If Father Christ Jesus declared that she should be put to death
He would violate the Roman law forbidding the Jews to administer capital Punishment
If He freed her
 He would violate Jewish law
As is often the case when we try to pin Eternal God down
He did something a few would have been able to predict
Instead of answering in a man’s terms
He answered in Eternal God’s
Father Christ Jesus encouraged the accusers to judge themselves
Before judging her and they left in shame
How many times do we see the faults of others while missing
Ignoring our own
Jesus knew our nature
Created the Sacrament of Reconciliation to help
What a great opportunity to remember Eternal God’s infinite mercy
Forgiving heart.

Premium Member Youth and Arrogance

Once upon a time,
There was a girl who thought of herself as being a great Dame
She would walk alone
And tell everyone that she had a heart of stone

She pushed off her admirers
Claiming they met not her desires
She broke many a hearts
By simply refusing to be their sweethearts

But one day, while she walked in the lonely forests
She came face to face with an enchantress
The latter was busy in concocting spells
To make of herself the world's only belle among the many belles

Angry for having been disturbed
She threw a curse on the great Dame
Be hated, she said, be ugly and be forever un-loved
Be made of fire so that anyone who touches you does perish in your flame

The young girl could do nothing
She tried to be to the world a bit more humbling
But everyone rebuked her
Everyone despised her, hated her

Why, if she did try to be good,
She scorched as would be a piece of fiery wood
If she did reach out to a young lad
She was laughed at, as if she was one so mad!

Why, she thought many a times of jumping into the raging sea
Maybe it would be good, if she did die way too early
Arrogant she had once been
Arrogant and one so mean!

But yet, she found not the courage to do such
She found not the courage to kill herself as such
Nor could she open her veins
Nor could she inflict on herself, other pains

Lost and discouraged, she sought out the mountains
She would live there, all alone, and in disdain
That was when she came face to face again with the enchantress
I shall cure you, only if you do allow me to be your mistress

Such was done and the young maiden became an evil slave
She accepted to do many evil deeds for her mistress, so abusive
So much that one day, as she looked at herself in a mirror
She shrieked with horror

She was old, wrinkled, ugly and witchy
No more did she have any beauty
Why, her life had been cursed, her life had been arrogant
Now, she could only accept her Fate's punishment!

Hold Him Down!

His mother was vicious to her child.
A sensitive boy who spoke his
mind, so she deemed her son, wild.
Hmmm!
How shall I punish him she thought
long and hard!
So, she sipped Long Island Tea
in her sumptuous backyard.

Physical punishment,no not that.
And suddenly, it hit her like a bat!
Into a dark closet, I will lock him
and ignore him, till he feels totally
rotten and forgotten.

The little boy was given minimal
sustenance.
And both his once happy face and
free spirit left his countenance.
His desire to eat, to communicate
all were distressed.

His arrogant mother, the Queen
of Ego, just happily grimaced.
She pranced about that house
without a soul.
Not caring about a life she most
joyfully stole!

Don’t hurt me

Don’t hurt me with your eyes
Don’t hurt me

Don’t hurt me

Don’t hurt me with your hands
Don’t hurt me
Pinching, pulling, scratching, slapping
Don’t hurt me

Don’t hurt me with your silence
Don’t hurt me
Indifference, abhorrence, neglect, control
Don’t hurt me

Don’t hurt me with your punishment
Don’t hurt me
NO touch, NO kiss, NO hug, NO SEX
Don’t hurt me

Don’t hurt me….

My body will heal
My mind will never

Jesus Resurrected

"Jesus wept"
The smallest verse in the Bible
"Jesus wept"
knowing he would die

Jesus longed for their support
yet his disciples slept
Jesus knew the future
You will deny me

Three times before the roster crows
Jesus went to his death
knowing he would die
Gods will be done

God incarnate
willing to suffer
for our sins
a God of love

That gave his life for us
without sin
his punishment was unjust
his reward

Is our redemption
given the right to forgive our sins
the doors are open to us
we get into heaven through his love

against violence
he stopped his disciple
drawing a sword to defend him
stating "get behind me Satan"

Violence belongs
in the domain of the devil
Love God with all your strength
love thy neighbour as thy self

The father, the Son and the holy Ghost
is only one God
call him Allah Call him Jehovah
call him the great white father

Call him what ever you want
yet in truth he created the world
he created the virgin birth
to give us a miracle

To prove that he was our God
feeding one hundred and forty thousand people
bringing the dead back to life
proving he was our God so we could believe

putting his thoughts in a body
the word of God into a man
suffering for us
to show us the path to love

The old testament is about laws
to create the peace
Jesus was about attitudes
to create the peace

Resurrected he walked up into the heavens
our God waiting for us to grow up
waiting for us to overcome suffering
and stop the violence

Think not that I came to create the peace
I came to bring you thoughts
that will turn brother against brother
and make a better world

Love justice

Those old memories are still new,
My love, he was one of the very few,
It occurred to us at the very first sight,
a challenge to prove who was more bright,

He lost to me and I lost to him,
Emotions were flowing out of the brim,
He left me nowhere in deep sea,
Is there any love justice I could seek ?

Relationships in life of love and lost,
Give warmth of blood and chills of frost,
What I thought was a faithful reward,
Happened to be a punishment so hard,

Irrefutable for life are the love demands,
then why expect me follow lifeless commands ?
Not a spot of bother if the world will prattle,
I am onto conquering a love battle !

Passion leading with grace to life's trail,
last breath of content will see love justice prevail !!

The Makeover of "Love justice"

In my memories alive,
Is love at first sight,
He was the one and only,
Challenged me wrongly,

Winning hearts in love,
We were hands in glove,
Passion had just sprung,
He bid adieu so young,

Soul cried for the love lost,
Time gave me chills of frost,
Drowning deeper in grief,
Love justice could I plead ?

Will seek love justice prevail,
Till last air of content I inhale !

This Man's Creed

Oh my God! Am I ever sorry
I may have even forgotten your story
I ask of you to beg my pardon
Again I've eaten from the garden

The fruit is good and hard to detest
That's no excuse I took the best
For that your punishment without refute
Out of the garden I get the boot

I know your son did some suffering
Insulted both with all my buffering
God! Here I am begging your grace
Help me be a good man in this place

I'm going to promise never again
You've heard it before so I'll refrain
Simply show me the right path
I truly fear thy mighty wrath.

Amen

Premium Member The Myth of Sisyphus

Sisyphus wished to overcome the death,
This the gods did never like, the myth says;
It's hence they decided to take his breath,
In ways other than the very death plays.

They gave him a big boulder, the myth reads,
To carry it from the foot of a hill;
To its top and when reaching there he needs,
To drop it down and thus continue still.

Courageous, king Sisyphus went ahead,
And took charge of the huge molded boulder;
It was as heavy as a rock of dread,
Yet to it he boldly rubbed his shoulder.

Though this task was meaninglessly absurd,
Sisyphus performed it faithfully true;
This punishment was a concept so blurred,
He carried it on life's greatness to prove.

Feared by the penance of absurd labor,
Sisyphus did not wish to end his life;
He turned the task to fit in his favor,
Accomplished it amidst terrible strife.

He had his great relaxation just then,
While returning to the foot after drop;
This gave him great courage and strength again,
Each time to reach the rock to the hilltop.

The myth of Sisyphus tells me the truth:
Rebellion in life is essential too;
When the old paths are not soothingly smooth,
Paving new is an obligation true.

Premium Member The Unsupervised Stop Sign

There they were, resting before me
black orbs with a layer of white
surrounded by glass
an invitation if ever I saw one
I reached my hand out in defiance of the rules
wanting to devour them, unnoticed
suddenly I stopped...
the thinly veiled threat of punishment
rang in my head
"Don't touch the cookies before dinner"
I wanted to, I needed to
there was a hunger to taste one
I reached out again, then stopped
pulled my hand back, my fingers fell limp
I walked away, my head bowed in silence
separating myself from my dilemma
as I sat down at the dinner table alone
waiting for dinner
my eyes still looking at the glass jar of cookies

Premium Member Mythology - the Gods Must Be Crazy

Gods of mythology from long ago,
commanded humans act within their law
or else there might be punishment, and so
man worshiped, followed, never to withdraw.

These gods ruled over sun, moon, rain, and wind;
and humans prayed to them for harmony.
Now in our world, they would be quite chagrined
by skies so full of our technology.

Our airplanes, jets, and rockets would incite,
and put them in a frenzy of despair
with terror in their skies both day and night,
and techno signals bouncing everywhere.

Apollo, Zeus, Poseidon, Jupiter
you would go crazy in these modern days.
The sun and sky and sea do now concur
your power has been lost to nature's ways.

No more your lightning and loud thunderclaps.
No more your floods from storms that you set free.
No more a drought to make the crops collapse.
No more the sinking of great ships at sea.

We have since learned about our universe;
that earth is reigned by scientific means.
New rules for skies and land and sea traverse;
No gods of mystery behind the scenes.

We now can travel land and sea, and oh,
the sky and outer space, our playground too.
Gods of mythology from long ago
you must be crazy since we've dismissed you.

Your paintings and stone statues all remain
and written history still stirs the mind.
Gods of mythology, it's clearly plain
you served a purpose to ancient mankind.
