Is It Real

Is it real or are you faking
it? ;
Can you testify truly
without a hit?
That it is as strong as it
seems? ;

Even in the absence of
every being;
You are poised to create a
scene;
That goes against all sins;
I could call you the mustard
seed;
But, is it worth it? ;
It is one thing to be known
for something;
And another to be firm in
acting;

The story begins with the
action;
The test;
The great test that you
can’t detest;
Your arms are tied;
Sitted in that waiting room;
And like a criminal that is
tried;
You shiver like its all going
to end in doom;
No! She must live…;
That’s what goes through
your mind;
And even a quick magic
right
now, you won’t dare to
mind;

I thought you had it in you;
I thought it was for real;
Even after all the binding;
And through all the casting;
Your mind is still in a doubt
situation;
And you run helter skelter
in search of a faster
solution;
From Church to Church;
From Temple to Temple;
And alas! From shrine to
shrine;
How then can the light
shine?
As it has finally been lost
for a
cheap fine;

The word says it’s the
evidence of
things not seen;
The assurance of things
hoped for;
A supernatural gift given to
you;
And yet your distance from
it grew;
Like both sides of a forever
widening canyon;

You once testified;
That he was crucified;
Not for nothing sake;
But for our whole spiritual
make;
A good reason for our
belief in him;
And our total submission;

Have you forgotten or are
you blinded? ;
Blinded by impatience and
greed;
And now;
The big question;
Where lays your faith?
Is he not the same as he
was in the past?
The healer, the provider, the
protector;
The I am that I am;
Where lays your faith?
An encouraging answer
would
spark up a good fate;

After all the roaming for
quick solution;
You still come back to your
place
of true solution;
Inevitable!
That’s the word;
He raised Lazarus from the
dead;
He said a word and the evil
spirits
fled;
Does that ring a bell?
I guess it does now;
And it’s clear that you once
lost
the faith;
And luckily it’s not too late;
Use the kneeler;
Make that prayer;
Have the belief;
Feel the relief;
And Alleluia
The problem is all gone;
The story of faith;
Preaching to your state;
Good or bad;
Hope it is real;
Hope it’s not fake;
Your faith;

If I Could Say It Now Contest

The day you abruptly went away,
My heart became frozen and my soul grew shades of gray,
My little eyes watched as your cadillac pulled out,
After listening to all those screams and foolish shouts,
The driveway was vacant, the house became dark,
I knew at that moment we would never again go to the park,
When I got home from school you would not be there,
I prayed to God that you would still some how care,
No one explained to me at seven years old,
That I would have to watch so much unfold,
Depression set inside that vacant place,
I no longer had that bright smile on my face,
The tire swing we built together fell apart late that June,
I would now have to learn way too soon,
How to fend for myself and take your place,
I had to fill your empty space,
I tried so hard to be like you,
Even built a tree house in honor of you,
I learned how to fix things around the house,
I even protected mom once from a mouse,
But no matter what I did,
It did not make up for me not allowed to be a kid,
Other kids got to see their dads, even when their parents got divorced,
But that wasn’t the case for me of course,
All I did was think of you, my first love had been devastatingly untrue,
The events that happened after can’t be written in just one poem,
Only God could possible have the right size thread to have sown
The chunks that life took out of me,
All because my daddy never came back to be
What every little girl desires
The protector, provider, the one who inspires
All grown up and it is now bitter sweet
For now I help other little girls whose dads caused them to have years of defeat
 One day when I have my own
I will be able to set the right tone
I will be able to feed my inner child
Embrace her and enjoy what you so freely defiled
We either repeat are parent’s mistakes or do whatever we can to prevent
That generational cycle from becoming like cement
Braking it now and forgiving you
Was the best thing I could ever do
For I harbor no resentment and I have no anger
I just know that not having a father put me in a lot of danger
But I am blessed to have had my heavenly dad
He was the one who was there when I was sad
He was the one who protected me from strife,
The one who taught me how to reverse my life,
I can live free because now I see,
 what you did in the end, hurt you more than it did me.

There's Only One

“Hear, O Israel: the Lord your God is one Lord!”
This is what was spoken by the true and only majestic one.
To a people whom He had hand chosen,
And all He wanted in return was a people to love, this is how it all begun.
And how He could just speak things into place with His Word.
When you think about the days of creation,
It testifies to the astonishing power of His Word,
Which later on would take on another relation.
The Hebrew words are El, Elah, or Elohim,
This is the name that SOME knew Him by.
Another Hebrew name that comes to mind,
Elyon meaning “God the highest”, some knew until they died.
Another Hebrew name is Adonai meaning “master”,
Telling me that I am to respect, worship and pay homage to
But always knowing that there is only one true that can be called Master.
We were made to adore, reverence and exalt Him,
This is the whole purpose of man.
But to which one can adore reverence or exalt,
If I am seeing more than one on hand.
The very first commandment tells us,
“Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.”
Which lets me know that there can be more than one,
But only one can I serve TRUTHFULLY!!!
El Shaddai was another Hebrew name He had
Which signifies almightiness or “All-sufficient”
Then we have the Hebrew name El Olam “Everlasting God”
Which goes along with one of His characteristics which is “omni-present.
“JEHOVAH” is another one of His many names which means “I AM THAT I AM,”
He was known as “JEHOVAH-JIREH” to some, “JEHOVAH-NISSI” to others.
because He is our peace and He is always present,
Being not only a provider but also a banner as a Father to His brothers.
“JEHOVAH-SHALOM” to some, “JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH” also,
because He is our peace and He is present always.
Whatever the occasion called for is what they called Him,
But His “SAVING NAME” had not been revealed yet until the right days.
but I want to as ask you this with all sincerity,
For us in this “Grace Dispensation” where do we stand.
For if you notice after the “Day of Pentecost,”
All things were done in His impressive “SAVING NAME.”
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God,
“…and the Word was made flesh” and dwelt amongst us just the same.
I leave you with a question of thought, if Jesus was not Almighty alone,
Then when was God manifested in the flesh…Received up in glory taking the name?

Basicaly It's the Truth That Blinds You

Is it the truth that blinds us
If They say God is Love then how can Love blind us
How can lies remind us> minus trust
It takes years to build it and only seconds to destroy it
And as I let ideas fall out into thoughts, that are like drops of rubbing alcohol across the countertop
There is a smell of a hospital that reminds me of newborn life and then death flashes and i lose my sight
Its untrue that the definition of the first person that hesitates here, really converts over and spills positive enrgy into the rest of his life
Cause its like you stall and the lightening strikes
The tree falls down and your a second behind it
The dark barks that it hates the light
The light shines and its basically the truth that blinds you
The brillance of the the giantest star draws you like a bug to the lighjt
you get suck in because its your time to die
You cant change it, its evrymans destiny,\
 thats why you must be in the postion that god places you
Work on earth to be done and men are lazy, they dont even want to be a family provider
i seen this i didnt understand it was truly overwhelming
Its like i knew the veiw you see is a little different
  you say hes just goin through hard times are you any better
I was like damn i help the man by leading him to water
 And he was like id rather sleep than feed my daughter
 Thats why mommy goes to work and on the face of the earth men are dying
Little boys are born to suffer this woe of society
Woman are supernatural acts of kindness
But you bring out the dormant side and the one who gave life becomes a destroyer
No matter woman or man God is my employer
I work for virtually nothing but to see a hurt soul rejoice and i smile in satisfaction
Im like the truth never blinded me it set me free from the darkest whitest lies
That are actually darker the this side of what you think is compatible
couples marry and then they hate each before the first chapter of the story
and unfaithfulness derives out of the unsatisfaction of dissatisifaction
Then the children suffer from the lack of harmony in a family inviroment
NoW truth come take the blinds off the mouth that sugarcoaTS THE DECEIVING TONGUES
OF THOSE WHO DONT LIKE YOU
 THERE LIKE ITS OKAY TO SIN BUT DONT LET THEIR LIPS COAX NOR ENTICE
The zenith is exactly crossing the horizon
The lies blind and basically the Truth is silent

Faith

I can feel it, something inside of me pushing me to reach higher, what refines an insider? what
defines an outsider? Sometimes i think better when i'm higher; but it's not the drug i desire, the
devil has plans to place me in the mist of red and purple fire, who are you to judge me because
GOD alone is the only one I admire, lets see maybe because HE'S the only one who keeps me
inspired, alive and never tired, mind me if i'm wrong but I'M on the cover of every flyer, LORD,
my flesh feels like an outsider but my soul knows IT'S an insider! straying, but I know it is HE
who was and is and continues to be my provider, to all of the people who feel that, light your
lighters, there is no difference between lovers and fighters, to each and all one outcome and one
love united to the one who inquires, so can you really tell me what my personality requires?
Now that I'VE shared with you lyrically the intent of my heart to the greatest extent, the basis is
love, clearly, because of HIS acent, and love will be my main objective to be reunited with HIM in
HIS decent, some may say that's the reality of a true rida, in GOD I confide, so that when i do
slide; next time i will have learned not to seek vanity through pride; and disgrace myself in front
of others because last time I was hurt and I cried, how many in my family do think died, how
many chances do you think I was denied, but it was i who lied; and somehow I felt a part of my
heritage had died, but then i thought the devil comes to destroy so why should i hide, I put my
faith back in GOD and my tears were dried, IT'S GOD I fear, not snide and sneer, faith alone
keeps me hid in HIS wing, constantly praising HIM through the song i SING.
Evthings alright because GOD is here deep and strong, please, ask me what's wrong, because
in my opinion what's wrong, is what's wrong, and right now I'M not just in my zone I'M in our
zone, we take to much for granted; granted that we are merely clones, never forgetting we were
created to kneel before HIS throne, oh LORD i know that on this cold and cruel earth YOU would
never let me eternally roam, HE never takes to long, HE'S an ontime GOD even when i'm
wrong, grace and mercy never fails GOD is able and we're not alone, thank YOU for my
purpose and for my eternal heavenly home.

Dawn Forever Rising

It starts

Street lights fade
their tiny soft-winged tenants flee
checkerboard facades change
last night's illumined squares now dark
become but yesterday's portals
some polished
some weather streaked
all reaching to reflect first breath

Steam ascends from the city's vacuum
gratings rattle with subterranean yawning
people-movers wind their way
through mazes of starts
stops

Topside tracks
like fixed contrails
glisten with frost
not yet enjoined by speeding transit
their skeletal tributaries
readying the trickle of humanity
into a mass ocean of glass and steel survival

Uptown
Downtown

A street sweeper's tire rubber and swirling brushes
beneath the overalled believer in Lottos
holding firm the wheel and gears of faith
of trust
gathering gutter-lodged disposal
glass and plastic
paper and cardboard
spinning into the vortex
lifting yesterday's careless cast-offs
inviting today's Starbuck anew
reflections of another kind

Leashes strain from anxious sniffing
bladders hold
ready to burst
seeking just the right tree
the right hydrant
the "ah, yes" that only a canine can know

Rays of sun begin spilling down alleyways
the long-tail rodents scamper for cover
their bellies full
seeking safety after a long night of ancient ritual
food of anything
digestion of history
all in a night's work

Suddenly

Full light cascades down avenues and streets
itinerant pigeons and seagulls spread habitual wings
ready to adore the steadies
the loners
park walkers
window ledge dependables
homeless with dance cards of crumbs
envying the moneyed insomniacs throwing chunks
baguettes gone stale
fit for few
a feast for many
senses loving the coos and warbles
the bobbing thank you
the reciprocal bonding
few but the lonely can appreciate

Finally

The steel and glass imitation of nature
comes fully alive
a sun's illumination without reserve
energy's provision for another day

Rich mix with the poor
money exchanges hands
the hotdog vendor
the hedge fund taker
the cookie jar provider

Most become tomorrow's yesterday
knowing little of the other light
requiring no rising or setting
illumination that never grows dim
something as nothing
forever light
never of darkness

Such for some
awakens from a New York sunrise
this dichotomy like no other
forever reminding
our eyes of dawn
one's inner light
is forever rising

Premium Member Family and Love

Life is all about family and love.

July 20, 1969, this day in history
Astronaut Neil Armstrong walked on moon, 240,000 miles
From Earth, a billion people
Listening at home:
“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

This same day near midnight
A small town in Taiwan island, a baby
Was born.  I was born!
This clinic nurse in the lobby
Told my grandmother: “It’s a girl.”
Disappointing granny then
Turned around and went on home: without hesitation.
    Everyone wished I
Was a boy!
            Life is all about family and love.

Introspective, peacemaker, stammering, am I so.
My order sister
Too, born as a special child. She
Blames my mother granting me a prettier face. She
Demands everyone rewarding her undivided attention. I
Pretended permitting her full control over me – until, I
Ceased pretending!
A blessing or a curse, am I not.
Lack of nurturing,
false, no one – mom and dad did their very best.
Celebrate. I am the pretty one.
            Life is all about family and love.

Grounded, stubborn, fearless, am I so.
Sunrise; sundown; circle of seasons,
presenting the most powerful version of me – fiercely, am I not.
Schooling, work, duty, responsibility, I am so.
Tearful five years of family revolution – a summon
From entropy, chaos!   Three people
again one – the disgraceful one as I
was named!
Shocking, awakening, baffling, agonizing,
             Life is all about family and love.

Eccentric, curious creature, solitude endeavor, am I so.
A grateful heart roaring
Abundant resources, reaching
Extraordinary heights, a lifetime student, am I not.
Millions of mistakes.  Countless mis-turns.
Knowledge applied become wisdom.
Walking this lonely road missing
A mentor. Not a road less traveled, but
A road worth travels.
              Life is all about family and love.

Ecstatic, untethered, blissed soul, am I so.
My father – a giver, a protector,
a provider – kindest man on earth.
Along the way, without permission, his little girl makes him proud.
Truly my father’s daughter. I am so!
Redeem mother’s homemade
Cooking once more.  That’s one
Small step for the self-chained mother, one giant leap
For a tranquil daughter.
              Life is all about family and love -- forgivingly.

Premium Member LEGEND THAT'S COMMENDABLE THROUGH PARENTS' LEGACY

Gracious fortress of caring fortitude
Guarding by their compassion’s latitude
Governing to soar through faith’s latitude
Guiding with attitude of gratitude…
God blest our parents’ love-packed magnitude!

Daddy’s chromosomes in his fatherhood
Blended with Mama’s genes midst motherhood
Nourishing fully healthy babyhood
Toward fruitful nurture of adulthood…
Yes, we salute their faithful parenthood!

With Dad and Mom’s steadfast, sweet partnership
Around strong and endearing fellowship
We, their children did learn wise stewardship
With glad followship and joyous worship…
Creating in us servant-leadership!

Good provider always – that’s Father
Gearing housekeeping skills of Mother
Indeed complementing each other
With their home-craftmanship together…
They’re role models to me, Sis and Brother!

Along their driving mentorship force
We’re trained to enjoy our daily course
To work well, shutting slothfulness’ doors
Warned against problems brought by debt-source…
Around contentment and commitment discourse!

As masterpieces’ molders, so clear
Dad and Mom with guidance, very near
Kept us counseled midst precepts we hear
To face functionally pressure-tear…
Oh, they propelled us with righteous steer!

In their consistent life-building zest
They sought God’s instructions for what’s best
Shaping behaviour toward finest
For virtues crest, inside values’ nest…
Praying for our future, vibrantly blest!

Championing kindness against hatred’s pain
Dad and Mom let us savour pardon-gain
With forgiveness pursuit, sans guilt’s stain
Freeing our hearts from bitterness-strain…
Making our home thrive in heaven’s domain!

They’re not perfect since we saw them pout
Sometimes, their assertions made us doubt
But they never failed to reach us out
With beware cautions against wrong route…
Now, we are on right track; “Thanks so much.” We shout!

As great heroes in their own right
My parents* radiated truth’s light
Constructing sturdy legacy-height
Victorious by the Lord’s grace and might…
Along priceless name yon treasures’ delight!

*Ephesians 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

A Petition To My Father

I try to drive, but I know I’m not fit.
The road is bumpy, who’ll take me through?
I try to move forward, but I end up in a ditch.
The weather is foggy, who else will lead me but you?

I need you forever in my life,
Who else guides me all the way, till I’m through?
You are always there for me because of your love.
Forever I desire nothing else, but only you.

Just as the driver controls the wheels of his car,
Take my life as such and guide me on the path which Thou has chosen for me.
And just as the pigeon feed her babies with food from her mouth,
Feed me with the word of Thy mouth for in Thy Word is life.

A co-pilot? No! I don’t need a co-pilot,
I need You to come and live in my heart,
I do not want my ways to be of just a lot,
Just direct my path to the place where Thou art.

Just as I am, I come to Thee,
I accept that I have sinned,
Please cleanse and set me free,
So that to the ground, I’ll not be pinned.

I never wanna leave Your presence,
Keep me in your light,
Free me from ill conscience,
Guide me to follow Your path.

Just as the followers of a shepherd are the sheep,
So are the followers of Jesus Christ Christians.
If I call myself a Christian indeed,
Let Jesus Christ be the only One I need.

Arise o my soul,
Be strong and march forward.
Or else life would be a woe,
So always remember the direction to move, ‘forward’.

What kind of God is this?
That what ‘ere that I do is filthy in His eyes?
Being destined to destruction like a fish,
All I need is Your mercy to make me cold new as Ice.

Upon all my crimes You still came to die for me,
And has made me as valuable as Yourself,
You’ve made me know that You even love me more than I do love myself,
I now pray that to Your sanctuary, You bring me.

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow,
Jesus being my provider,
I need not to be in sorrow,
He’ll take care of me forever.

Born in white, I am asked to journey in mud,
How am I supposed to walk in mud without soiling myself?
I saw a Man, who said He’ll make me even better than just a lad,
He said “all you’ve got to do is to repent and ask for it yourself”.

There’s power in His voice!
He commandeth the storm to be quiet,
It is not with mere noise,
But with grace from where He abideth.

Premium Member Grandma

She measured only five foot tall,
With her stooped shoulders, even shorter.
Towered over by her strapping son,
My mother and each other daughter.
Grandma came from sturdy stock.
On her own strength, she relied
To raise her five young children,
After my grandpa died.

Mother was only six years old,
She could barely remember when
Her daddy died of consumption.
That’s what they called it then.
There was no such thing as welfare,
So Grandma was left alone,
To find a way that she could raise
Her family on her own.

Opportunities for women
Before the First World War
Were almost non-existent.
The wolf was at their door.
So my grandma took in washing,
Ironing and clothes to mend.
The enormity of her labors,
I can’t even comprehend.

I have pictures of her and her family,
All so neatly dressed
In crisp white dresses and starched shirt,
Attired in their Sunday best.
Did her children know her sacrifice,
How this woman had to strive
To see they were fed and sheltered,
And to keep them all alive?

My memories of my grandma,
Are when she was old and alone.
She was frail and ill but managed
To face life on her own.
She had her little garden,
And planted by the moon.
She bragged that no one in the town
Was eating fresh peas so soon.

I never heard her grumble
About her difficult life
Or that she had been a widow
Much longer than a wife.
My grandma had the steely will,
That has made this nation grow.
Without her kind, we wouldn’t have
The ease that we now know.

So when ever the days are rainy
And I’m feeling sorry for myself,
I start to remember Grandma,
Take her album from the shelf.
Surrounded by life’s luxuries
Of the kind she never knew,
I wonder at my grandma,
And the way she battled through.

She barely knew of radio,
And  would have been enchanted
With television and its wonders,
Which we take so much for granted.
Grandma was a true pioneer.
Her road was long and rough.
Her granddaughter should be ashamed.
To claim she has it tough.

I salute you Grandma and love you.
I was proud to call you Gram.
And no one needs to tell me that
You were of sterner stuff than I am.
