Just because I’m a man
Does it mean a woman is a merchandise?
A device
I use any time anywhere to please myself with
Just because I'm a man
Does it mean a woman is a caretaker?
A housekeeper
Who cleans after me while I gallivant
Just because I’m a man
Does it mean a woman is a feminist?
An activist
Buzzing endlessly in my ears like a mosquito
Just because I'm a man
Does it mean a woman is somebody?
I mean a nobody
Whom I punch kick as I like to display my masculinity
Just because I'm a man
Does it mean a woman is a blunder?
A minor
Whom God said I should provide for
Just because I’m a man
Does it mean a woman is someone?
The one
Who sees how trashy am I but still let me stay
YOU MIGHT NOT THINK YOUR PERFECT OR MAYBE NOT THE BEST.
BUT JUST TO LET YOU KNOW I ADMIRE YOU AVOVE THE REST.
FOR WORKING SO HARD TO PROVIDE FOR ALL.
THANKS FOR BEING THERE AND ALWAYS STANDING TALL.
NO MATTER THE PROBLEM OR THE TROUBLES THAT CAME.
THANKS FOR BEING TOUGH BUT SOFT ENOUGH
TO STILL PLAY A KIDY GAME.
THANKS FOR ALL THE HUGS AND COMPASION YOU SHARE.
AND THANKS FOR TAKINGS THE BURDENS
YOU DIDNT HAVE TO BARE
ALL THOUGH EVERYONE MUST GROW AND BECOME THERE OWN.
THANKS FOR ALL THE LIFE LESSONS YOU SO GRATEFULLY SHOWN.
YOU ALWAYS SAID YOU CAN BE ANYTHING YOU DESIRE.
NOW THAT YEARS HAVE PASSED I KNOW YOU WASNT A LIAR.
THANKS FOR BEING THERE TO CATCH ME WHEN I FALL.
THANKS FOR NEVER SAYING NO WHEN ASKED TO PLAY BALL.
THERES THINGS IN LIFE THAT EVERYONE HAS DONE WRONG.
BUT YOU SAID IN THE LONG RUN ITS WHAT MAKES US STRONG.
THERES A LESSON IN LIFE ALL MUST FIGURE OUT.
I BELEIVE ITS TRUE I KNOW THIS WITHOUT A DOUBT.
YOU MIGHT THINK THAT TIME HAVE SLIPPED AWAY.
THATS NOT TRUE JUST REMEMBER ITS
A BEGINING OF A NEW DAY.
THANKS AGAIN FOR ALWAYS KEEPING THAT OPEN EAR.
ITS A GREAT PLACE TO TELL THE DARKEST AND DEEPEST FEAR.
ON THIS PAPER I HAVE SAID THANKS MANY TIMES.
I MEAN IT EVEN THOUGH I PUT THEM ALL IN A RHYME.
ONE DAY A YEAR IS NOT ENOUGH NOT EVEN TWO.
THATS NOT ENOUGH TIME TO GIVE PROPER THANKS TO YOU.
SOME MIGHT CALL YOU HONEY UNCLE BROTHER OR EVEN FRIEND
BUT I KNOW YOUR TRUE NAME THAT YOU
WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO END.
I SAY BEFORE EVERYONE IM PROUD HAPPY
AND JUST ULTEMETLY GLAD.
THAT I HAVE THE GOD GIVEN RIGHT,
PRIVILAGE AND HONOR TO CALL YOU MY DAD.
LOVE YOU ALWAYS DAD.

He is to provide the emotional, financial, spiritual,
The mental health needs for all,
Provide for the physical health of his family,
Regardless of how big or how small,
Also to protect her self esteem and worth,
Protect her values to live by,
Protect against any threats to her life,
Protect from a broken down cry.
Then lead from the front without a whine,
Lead life's game toward a win,
A win for everyone to own their own life
Own their fulfillment within.
And, finally, to teach how to approach life,
Like a confident successful man,
Showing his family how to live a life,
Being the best family man that he can.
Three cheers to a man who threw off his shackles
Key turned by cancer door slammed by his wife
An eleventh hour primal urge stirring
A man had decided to reclaim his life
He did what he did to provide for his family
More than that he did it for pride
Given we know what before the fall goeth
Of his ruinous end we should be not surprised
Society thought that he was a weakling
He would admit he went through life afraid
Until the day when the straw broke the camel
And now we sing of the stand that he made
Who would have thought someone so mild mannered
Would put a bullet in a rival's head
Some would take issue with how he did business
Mostly though those people are dead
He died alone in a pool of irony
He'd tell you his decisions were bad
When the world tries to strip a man of his dignity
It's hard to conceive of a choice to be had

And the rain will pour
And I’ll sit at your door
Because the rain will pour
Haven’t talked about much
No worries, there’s no such rush
It’s only paperwork
As long as you provide for your loved ones
Then it matters not if the labor hurts
I married tragedy
A lovely wrath to be
Smile for these troubled times chase after me
No point ignoring laughter
Dimples from cheek to cheek
I’m finally twenty
I’m telling you,
I’m growing to be an antique
Coming of age
Yet more than ever
I script my life on a page
I wish you more than life
I wish you truth
Through the wounds of right
Your kiss my silent night
And the rain will pour
And I’ll sit at your door
And the rain will pour

Food, ale, smoke, sleep, and solitude—
these are the things which I live for.
Provide for me lamb barbecued,
and I'll demand of you no more!
O lovely lass, whatsoever's the matter—
why so downtrodden and alone?
Be not vexed, if you feel so much fatter
than most, dear, for we love our own.
Sweet lass, let me tell you a secret:
if I were a young lad again,
I'd chase you for your gorgeous asset.
But as I am three-score and ten
years old with wife not dead, then never
could I be your white knight with steed.
So have hope, lass! For time, however,
in its fullness will meet your need.

As a society we are wrestling with the issues,
Of how best to Provide for our children.
Should the state play such a big part?
Should we set up charities that only focus on children,
When the whole family is dysfunctional,?
Are criminal gangs and families suitable places to leave children?
How can communities become more family friendly?
If you are like me you are probably betwixt and between on the subject,
As while there is need for immediate protection for children,
Being well-meaning is not enough,
When it comes to child welfare,
We also have the issue of where we put the children we take away from families.
So much to think about. But we need to get it right,
Like which Charity to give to,
And should we borrow money to give,?
Or should we bypass that rout and help families we Know directly.
Otherwise?
They survived the Great Depression, my parents did
living from hand-to-mouth for over a decade
Took any job they could get, and were grateful for it
working 72 hours a week for a ‘salary’ of twelve lousy bucks
My father watched grown men cry and jump out of tenement windows
ashamed that they could not provide for their families – two or three a day, he told me
My mother heard ‘dirty Jew’ hurled at her so often
she became obsessive about washing her hands and face…
…Yet when it came time to serve their country
they were first in line for the privilege of seeing America through WW2
Fighting side by side with fellow un-hyphenated Americans
Jewish or Catholic, from Italy or France – didn’t matter
Americans all, they fought their hearts out for the Stars and Stripes
for the land of the brave and the home of the braver

And now, it pains me to see what we’ve become on the cusp of our 250th birthday
Capitalists fleeing our signature city, NYC, run by an unrepentant socialist radical
‘Woke’ Governors, Congressmen and Mayors giving away ‘stuff,’
Free health care, free college, free food, free rent, free bus service, free, free, free
The greatest public misfit of any age, Bernie Sanders, the cheerleader egging it all on
And the devil himself, George Soros, quietly financing the destruction of the country
America! that saved his life, granting him refuge from the Nazis

May my mother and father, and their entire generation, rest in peace knowing they made
America great once and made us all so proud.
One has to wonder
how the Kid's life would have turned out, had he not lost his mother.
The one true individual in his life whom he loved devotedly like no other
and so too was her love for him, the devoted unconditional love of a loving mother.
Many a tenderfoot would show up at her door
and Mrs Catherine Antrim (the Kid's mother) would nurse them, feed them
and provide for them a nights board.
It's very obvious that Billy's fine qualities were passed down to him from his mother.
Had she lived an average lifetime, in my mind there is no doubt,
Billy, the Kid today may have been a different legend that may have become about.
He most likely would have been
a very outstanding model citizen,
very likely also a great humanitarian.
He today may have been an even greater prouder legend
had his mother's life not been so abruptly brought to an end,
but then again, there's always that possibility
that as great as the Kid's life could have had a chance to be
it may not have been great enough to be legend unfortunately,
and the Kid today would not be a legend at all, just another great figure of history
long lost and faded into obscurity.
However, the Kid in true reality
suffered a very short and violent life full of so much tragedy.
As far as I'm concerned, He Deserves To Be A Legend Eternally.
