Life as we know it makes no sense if we have no choice
So what is the alternative and do we have a voice ?
The world is spinning out of control with violence and death all around
And the Republican presidential candidate is a racist media hogging clown
Everything is off kilter and while I sit and contemplate
What is my alternative and what will be my fate?
How do I sing songs of joy when chaos is on the rise?
How do I survive a Babylonian society and keep my eyes on God's prize?
In the midst of perversity and immoral behavior
My only alternative is to stay connected to Jesus my Savior
When I see a white man kill nine African Americans in a church
And after arrested given a bullet proof vest
Yet when an ex-military black man kills five white cops
He's blown up I feel such unrest
Over the injustice and the inequality that is occurring every day
Over 123 black men killed this year what more is there to say
What is the alternative? What is it that we need to do?
What is the alternative? As a nation we need to seek truth
I don't condone Mr. Johnson's behavior
but I understand where he's coming from
Too many young unarmed black brothers
Killed by white police guns
So what is the alternative?
What as a nation do we realize?
That racism is alive and well and killing blacks is on the rise
What is the alternative?
How do we bring about true change?
It's time for white Americans to stop acting like we're deranged
We are Americans too my people have been here over 400 years
Yes we were once slaves but let me make this clear
We are no longer your property
We are no longer your chattel
Stop killing and slaughtering my people
Like they're mindless cattle
So what is the alternative?
It's time we all develop a true relationship with God
And hopefully be infused with a Christlike love
And true compassion in out hearts
THAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE
Just because we had an African, black, white, man elected?
but no one really wants to represent people feels like we got injustice;
Some people like it poor their minimum waged jobs;
Not many of them we can trust;
But no one really wants to represent people feel like we got injustice;
Who am I to judge you? Got no heaven nor hell for ya;
Not many of them we can trust;
You smile @ me, lie to my face;
Who am I to judge you? Got no heaven nor hell for you;
Just because we had an African, Black American, White, man elected?
While @ the same time singing " Amazing Grace"
Everybody wants to be President, Preeminent Presidential politics;
Just because we had one African, Black, White, man elected
Then you are not saved nor safe;
It's not about the bible but about the doctrine;
But no one really wants to represent the people they got injustice;
Not many of them we can trust;
No one wants to represent people feeling like no justice;
Who am I to judge you? Got no heaven or hell for you;
Some people like it rich their coffee;
You smile @ me, lie to my face;
Who am I to judge you? Got no heaven nor hell for you;
Just because we had an African, Black American White man elected;
While @ the same time singing "Amazing Grace"
Everybody wants to be President preeminent presidential politics;
So the rich corporations can get more, more, more...
Polite genocide what's wrong with a little prosperity;
Free genocide what's yours isn't yours;
What's your is mine and what mine is mine;
So the rich corporations can get more, more, more;
Free genocide what's yours isn't yours;
You smile @ me, lie to my face;
Who am I to judge you? Got no heaven nor heal for ya;
Just because we had an African, Black American White, man elected?
While @ the same time singing " Amazing Grace"
Anyone can wear a face, but not anyone can be President;
Children get seized at the border;
parents are led away in cuffs.
Under Presidential order
ICE morphed into a gang of toughs.
The United States has no shame
they sold their soul to the devil.
Asylum seekers weren't to blame
for Trump sinking to this level.
Kids are a political tool,
kidnapped from fleeing families.
Enforced by Republican rule,
laws mandate these calamities.
Nazis and fascists rally round
Trump, waving confederate flags.
Hate's propaganda is unbound,
their blood chants recruiting scumbags.
A bigot's voted in power,
a nationalist is in charge.
A man defined by Trump-tower
is revered by cultists at large.
Democracy's reached a crossroads,
a lunatic has won the race.
And holding the nuclear codes
he incites his ass-kissing base.
A veteran winger of the American women’s soccer team,
Megan Rapinoe is much maligned now,
for she unexpectantly missed a penalty in the shootout
in the crucial match against Sweden that caused
the USA, the defending champion, to crash out
of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023.
Amidst controversy, Megan was included in the team
at the last moment for her 4th World Cup appearance,
in recognition of her talent as a crafty player,
known internationally for her astute style of play,
scoring 63 international goals,
2 directly from corner shots, a great feat.
She is the recipient of the Golden Boot
and the Golden Ball awards for the best tournament player
at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019 in France.
She is recognized as the Time magazine’s
one of the most influential people of 2020,
and received in 2022 the Presidential Medal of Freedom,
nation’s highest civilian honor.
Her autobiography (One Life) detailing her early life,
career highlights and setbacks,
activism for racial and gender equality,
and personal relationships,
became New York Time’s best seller.
Though she failed the USA soccer team,
and crushed its hope to win the 2023 World Cup,
and even if she disappears
from the women’s international soccer scene,
Megan Rapinoe will be remembered as a legend.
yea tis history - that end gin shelled a mesh by mit Romney wailin
such below figurative belt mortar attack subterfuge and constant railin
per accusations hurled at barack Obama presidential campaign
lobbed like scud missile grenades from invisible hand no longer m palin
in comparison and hence moot point for republicans to gain
so this joe of a voter re-fused 2 bide time 2 prevent candidate from failin
app laud clinched 2nd term deserved and occupy white house seat a gain
intent i wanna talia 2 acknowledge salient tactics to boost usa now ailin
sasha bravado blasting and gunning futile fusillades
which questionable oppositional stealth indiscriminately fired pell mell
to discredit supreme commander in chief an exemplary persona in the main
such desperate toothless and nail biting tactics
replete with political retaliatory slanderous stockpile bombardment
but rather, he opts to build fracking rainbow coal bridges 2 somewhere
over the rainbow toward future with his omnipotent time tested girders
of righteousness and gravitas quite simple and plain
casting confidence that the democrats rank as the robust strongest train
eclipsing her livid burst of 15 minutes fame that briefly wax than wane!
Second Assasination Attempt
In September’s blessed grass, like a slimy snake, you crawled.
To murder a beloved President, your worthless body, sprawled.
The weapon you hugged, just drooling to end an American hero’s life.
Never once thinking, of his accomplished family, nor his beautiful wife.
Coward, wretched, that you be, may you be sent to a lone hanging tree.
Friendless, choking, no remorse, as you swing in the wind deservedly!

Update..the Federal Government continues to refuse to suupply additiona security to President Trump, even though additional threats keep coming in!
NO Presidential candidate should be treated that way..shame, Mayorkas!
Even if you do not like him, to put him in harm’s way, or Kamala’s..is wrong!

Oh heck no
It's not good feeling like a puppet made by Gepetto
The overhead downpour constant and torrential
Can't find my way through this god forsaken residential
My sleep was hardly ever restful
So much blood on the money that it turned to red gold
It's kind of sad how easily men fold
As a battle hungry general
Many many heads rolled
I slayed my enemies by the denful
Plenty said I was another hell-bent soul
Wasting all of my potential
Just living a life that was uneventful
Problems incoming by the tenfold
Still folks being petty and judgmental
Doing things that are disrespectful
Or considered dreadful
Never resentful
They don't ever feel regretful
It's beyond coincidental
As well as being consequential
Time has proven with it's credentials
I find it hard to trust anything presidential
Why do so many poke the bear and rarely settle
I'm thankful for this meal of lentils
No matter if I have utensils
Will humans ever stop being vengeful?
Too many quick to fire the first projectiles
Little good it does to be forgetful
And far too neglectful
It won't stick if I write it in pencil
Life gets stressful
So I got to have the mettle
To take care of what's essential
Times turn harsh it just can't always remain gentle
I'm sad that I can't find or understand anything ancestral
We've no proof of anything celestial or spectral
I could be wrong though I'm not a perfect vessel
Still not yet fully successful
For now I'll make some medicine with flower petals
By using a mortar and pestle
It's a rather complicated experience to explain
on paper, but I shall make my best attempt.
Some years ago, there was a Presidential candidate.
I shall make my point without any identifications.
So much of who we are and how we think lie beneath
the surface and often go undetected by us and others.
Case in point. For no apparent reason that I detected,
a friend, thinking that I would be biased toward a certain
candidate made a baseless and prejudicious assumption
and informed me why I should not vote for that candidate.
My friend did not realize we were supporting the same
person, never bothering to ascertain such valuable
information. She was not mean-spirited and felt close
enough to me to allow her such freedom of expression.
She never realized that her attempt at pointing me away
from what she considered to be the wrong direction was
in bad taste. I think that because she was much older,
I decided not to confront her with the issue.
To be biased is blinding. By definition, it is to have an
undue propensity for something. I suspect that if her
assumption was a legitimate one, her mission to change
my way of thinking would have been justified.
However, she relied on the historical data of the media
and placed me in a certain category. In so during, I became
a statistical entity and not a personal friend with a mind
of his own. Ironically, she was blind to my lack of bias.
Two men stood in my youth
Upon a pedestal which all beheld
Both placed on the reality behind the screen
I put my hand to it and cried
You were my only friends
Mr. Obama, you spoke about change.
All I wanted was change from my dreary life,
And then the other came.
Oh Shrek so glorious in your rotundity,
With you around I felt safe
Your smiling mouth, ears, and eyes
Gave me the comfort I needed to feel.
And there from my surprise
I heard him Mr. Obama say, “We will give it one more try.”
I thought he spoke of his second election
But he spoke of something I could not believe
He pointed to that strange onion
And Shrek smiled him and looked him in the eye
“Believe me!” He cried,
“Your always welcome in MY SWAMP.”
And so he left the swamp of Washington to another,
And chose to live with his significant other
“No more Fiona, my first gentleman.”
And so they winked and kicked Donkey outside.
And so I stood and waited as the green pair came upgraded
“We will defend you young person”
I thanked them and shook their firm hands.
You are too good for us to understand. Fly away free birds.
And so it was they returned to the little TV box.
I never saw them again they disappeared and I felt all was for naught
But as I crawl into bed
I once again see them floating over me-in my head.
Its, ugh, never Ogre
The Last Debate of Trump and Biden
10/22/2020
By Franklin Price
written - 10/23/ 2020
The last debate of Trump and Biden
Neither one of them in hidin'
Both came to the stage to have their say
To tout what they were all about
Why the People could not do without,
What they would do, the next four years of play
The rules had changed and things made clear
There were six subjects we would hear
Each man allotted just two minutes time
The one not speaking, had no mike
Could not be heard or cause a spike
So could not cause an interruptive crime
With both two minutes, said and done
I fully thought we'd see more fun
More of the over-speaking fun and games
Surprisingly, was more control
Each had, more presidential role
Seldom yelled, or called each other names
Kristin Welker did quite well
When differences began to tell
She tried her best make them toe the line
They honored her, more than the last,
Who lost control, but that's the past
This woman moderator, more than fine.
The ninety minutes went by fast
When it was over/done at last
I tried to analyze what I had seen
I reviewed what they had said
And ran it slowly through my head
Here's, what I think, that each of them would mean
Biden, always, the democrat
Though he thinks he is more than that
Claims he would be the president for all
His Washington would care for us
We'd all be equal on the bus
Government controlling, every rise and fall
Trump still not a politician
Ran last time on his volition
He gives away his presidential pay
Believes the people should be free
For each to be what they can be
Without the ones, in D.C., in the way.
The details ,of each, are all for naught
Of who is sold and who is bought
If We the People lose controlling voice
November third, eleven days away
Be sure to vote and have your say
To select, which way we live, will be your choice
