On the pathways in the valleys, where the sun weaves with the eaves' shadows,
April's flickers spill to adorn the pale oases.
Winter's shadows are extinguished, broken in the wait for buds to bloom,
Melting away in the golden dawns, lofty beneath the proud morning's loom.
The industrious rays of the sun begin to sprinkle golden threads
Over the endless play of the bold waves, crowned with foam.
Sun-borrowed sparkles take flight, enveloping
Under the trembling whirl of streams in full awakening, spreading
Beneath leaves and through groves, the untold mysteries of light,
While shadows dance, slipping into a verdant symphony's rite.
Stray glimmers penetrate through branches, butterflies speaking to the sea,
Creating moving shadows that arrange threads of gold and emerald tapestry.
Young leaves, in shades of fresh green and pure celebration,
Spin softly on the life's current of birth, before May's first ovation,
Leaving time in a diaphanous flight of sigh.
The days open wide, coaxing flower buds to rise in a chant of love,
Think of the hour when they bloom in white and pink beneath the gently fading sun above.
Light in tender twilights cuts through shadow after shadow unfurled,
Drawing hopes on the fabric of the darkness that slowly comes undone.
Ephemeral yet so full, the song of the spring's bronzed dawns.
Oh, the symphony of resurrection that transforms the wood and spreads life's canvas drawn,
Witnesses to the rebirth of all, under the deep azure arch.
Spring, the valiant weaver, stitches its desires in fresh green,
While the clear murmur of waters in the changing shadows,
Is lost, lost in the fresh mystery, under the warm eye of the rising sun.

Celebrate

Celebrate

Clap clap
Standing ovation
Look at what God is placing
Placing you in positions
With people who have similar visions
Visions to look through the lense
Let the positive ?? energy begin
Celebrating whether its something big or something small
It's time to celebrate it all

Celebrate
It's your time
To take , A step
To really applaud yourself
(Repeat1x)

You get up everyday
Put on your clothes
And then you step out the door
Do you know
What you hold
You hold the control
The control of your day
You can stop, rewind, fast forward or replay
Look at you
You doing great
No matter whats on your plate
Appreciate
Elevation and all of the dedication
Clap your hands
It's not to late
For you to celebrate

Celebrate
It's your time
To take , A step
To really applaud yourself
(Repeat 1x)

Celebrate big or small
You really deserve it all
(Repeat 1x)

Celebrate
It's your time
To take , A step
To really applaud yourself
(Repeat until chorus fades)

Fireworks

The Forth of July starts with cold breakfast these days.
No work today so nothing pays.
I wanted to enjoy some burgers by the grill.
But it wasn’t working, still.
We never fixed anything from last year.
So we bought burgers for nothing, I fear.
But when I settled in at dusk.
Feeling like not much more than a husk.
I heard a “pop” in the distance appear.
Saw the first firework of the year.
People gathered outside on their patios.
Which pulled me out of my depressed throes.
My neighbor offered a hot dog he grilled.
I admit to being a little thrilled.
Gave him my patties that I didn’t get to grill up.
My friend a few doors down popped in and asked “What’s up?”
The fireworks no longer were startling anymore.
At least until the encore.
As we cheered and enjoyed the food we made together.
Started to feel a friendly tether.
And just when the last burst of color went away.
We started to chatter about our day.
And just when we ran out of conversation.
The actual last firework burst and there was a standing ovation!
The Forth of July ends with a friendly wave.
Even the children seemed to behave.
What I hate to think about the most?
Is that the day started with cold, burnt toast!

Righteous Smart Left Hand

Righteous smart left hand

Short lived amnesia
(there's no app for that) found
his highness (ha... ha... ha... hm)
drawing a (figurative) blank
today January 54th, 2021,

when the misses asked yours truly
to access Verizon voicemail,
me noggin made a clank,
no doubt forgetfulness potion I drank
helps explain the circumstance
spilled (er spelled) ernest and frank.

After uttering expletive
stronger than tarnation
sought after digital information
re: 1-888-234-6786, I handily
pressed telephone keys right away
courtesy five fingertips,
and thumb expecting standing ovation

course I practiced self abnegation
and adamantly refrained
exclaiming these
bone a fied digits of flesh
the best most intelligent in creation,
my memory recalling telephone numerals
more difficult then acquiring k-ration.

Maybe you - anonymous
dear reader unwittingly applauded
(courtesy butterfly effect -
vibrations felt in Schwenksville)
impacted one garden variety human
comfortably nestled within dwelling
functioning as his remote workstation.

Nevertheless, your friendly martian, i.e. me
(from the outer limits
of the twilight zone
ofttimes analogously scurrying
like dark shadow creeping
along the edge of night)
somehow either discerned

(felt, heard or saw)
aforementioned reverberation
unbeknownst to yours truly,
thought he detected, and
felt atmospheric perturbations,
which I automatically fantasized
indicative of a strange being
housed within alien nation.

Pray tell - soundcloud I sensed
twas thee, a faux Earthling,
who telepathically communicated
to mine overactive imagination
please be courteous and befriend
plus promise to whisk me away

to never never land,
regardless whether cultural heritage
of population constitutes
a cross between
Alsatian, cetacean,
Croatian, claymation, Dalmatian,
Haitian, Thracian, et cetera.

Premium Member My Foolish Heart

It innocently started with that libation:
that tingling, inebrious, joyful sensation.
My foolish heart acquiesced to the temptation.
An allergy or a genetic mutation
awakened my foolish heart.

I frequently fancied more fluid flirtations,
enjoying elixirs, expressing elation,
investing immensely in intoxication,
thus, firmly establishing future foundations,
entangling my foolish heart.

I fervently favored froth-filled fermentations,
gallantly guzzling by gradual gradations,
increased intake, saw inebrious inflation,
rarely reducing or restricting by rations,
addicting my foolish heart.

My continued consumption, clearly causation:
drunk and disorderly, receiving citations,
wound up in several unpleasant locations,
spending entire nights locked up for the duration,
imprisoning my foolish heart.

You would hope at this point in this woeful narration
that lessons were learned; there'd be de-escalation.
Consumption, instead, saw inflation, dilation,
impacting my ethic, my work occupation,
depressing my foolish heart.

There were serious impacts in my relations;
it should have been time for a complete starvation.
The tiger was prowling in full on predation,
dragging me helpless to infernal damnation,
devouring my foolish heart.

What happens next is described best as salvation;
It's been sixteen years now with total cessation.
See, Christ made me a totally new creation.
He gets all the credit, my standing ovation.
He gave me a brand new heart.

*I would call this a monorhyme with the additional
feature that each stanza has a short refrain tail.

I do not have the words to describe the uniqueness of you
You are the voice in the wilderness
Crying out to me
Not to just me alone
Still you speak directly to my soul
I am moved too places I have not seen
Experiences foreign to my imagination
I taste the dirt beneath your fingertips
I am satisfied
And yet I wish to consume more
You drag me down
Yet I am lifted by the brilliance of your thought
I sit in the centre of the darkness illuminated by your light
Each word written with purpose
I cry and laugh
I am shocked and desgusted
I rip at my chest in anguish
I feel the pain of those I do not know
How is it that I live in a world without justice
I was unaware I was part of the problem
Until I read your words
A voice calling out from the wilderness
A strange now familiar voice
I clap and clap and clap
For you my STANDING OVATION
Your words your words your words
I am moved
Thankyou

Phat Tuesday's

With an Ovation of peers and fans
he stood and smiled."non Best:but
me" he said looking at those who
wished to dethrone him. He than
promised every person to the right
of him a tommorrow. He said that
there defeat might cause them
depression and those that would regress
to vinacat there yesterdays might that
same vinadation allow him to reclaim
that which he would
reearn. He swore by the Genius of his
mangment and and praised those who
beleived in C4H2L. ( the formula of success).
No fool in Literary matters: "might the book
be witten that the scribers wish to write"! The
challenger before me shall meet defeat. One
most make the podium; one most walk up to
the stage to perform main eventers and paper geeks.
The trophy represents the champion. Challengers beware!

Satan, sometimes, takes the form of humans,
He has found pleasure, now, in Putin's actions;
Pride, lie, and lack of love push him forward,
Same Satan will soon prove, that, he's a coward;
Lions should fight against equals or stronger lion,
Putin has brought shame, fighting with Ukraine;
Volodymyr Zelenskyy seems a man of gentleness,
He can, hence, be equaled to thousand Putins;
He sees his country built by his hands collapse,
From his side, he does all he can; no moral lapse;
British Parliament gives him grand standing ovation,
For him, protection of his people is the only obligation;
Putin, or anyone with arrogance, learn lessons sweet,
Fighting for power and might, when they get six feet;
What a life if you can't give your neighbor helping hand,
If you can't help, at least, do not grab their homeland,
To clap, yet, two hands needed, it's traditionally said,
The sins of Ukraine - are they swept under the carpet...?

Premium Member That Internet Thingy

I love that Internet voodoo
that pile of wires and things
that lets us stay connected
and keeps us entertained.

It ties the world together
like economies these days
it's magic either good or bad
information cuts both ways.

It went down the other day
and it wasn't out that long
the maintenance guy
was at the outside box
and he did something wrong.

I watched him like a tiger
from inside my gilded cage
I was pacing my perimeter
like a predator engaged.

I screamed helpful, timely updates
he seemed a clueless clown
and I was ready to go block
his truck if he tried to leave
while we were still down.

He finally got the thingy fixed
my sweet prince of restoration
I laughed out loud to see the lights
then I gave him a standing ovation.

Without the Internet I'd go crazy
and it wouldn't take that long
after months of dull isolation
it's helped us all stay strong.

p.s. I write short stories too =]

"You completed me and made me whole; you were my light.
My darling you are within me, though I am without your tonight."
                                                                           ~ The Poet ~

We entered this earthly stage together many years ago.
Act one Scene one: Our love seemed “all systems go.”

You touched my heart with your soulful voice.
Ever glad you and I made the right choice.

The sight of you walking toward me on the street,
My heart pulsed with an almighty beat.

I trembled when our lips met in a passionate kiss.
That sensuous feeling, I never wanted to miss.

When you took me in your arms to hold me tight,
I experienced all the sensation of a lover’s delight.

Our bodies in slumber gently entwined.
Waking with feeling of ecstasy overwhelmed my mind.

When we laughed together it was as if we were one.
Joined in happiness having so much fun.

When you were hurt the darkest surge within me to pray.
That our dear Lord would take your pain away.

And while we are on that subject when we prayed to Him above.
I felt that oneness with you as we offered God our love.

Now it’s time for the final scene and to close the curtain,
Our play’s been a success. Standing ovation, that’s for certain.
