Life keeps going to find his purpose
he strolls across verdant plains and trudges up the hills
sometimes dejection follows rejection and distress
darkness engulfs
and something spooky emerges
looming large to form something horrid…
a hideous hunchbacked hiatus.
Life slows down…wary of the
impending hindrances for his progress
and there is a temporary pause.
This hideous hiatus distracts him, traps his mind,
capable of taking any form…like
alarming anxiety… about denial and failure
gloomy grief… at the loss of a loved one
frantic fear… of loneliness and uncertainty
abominable anger… that cannot be controlled
pernicious pride… without the grace of humility
disgusting jealousy… of others’ success
dreary vacuity… that fills the desperate mind
…it keeps hovering around on and off
in many more such formless forms
Yet something prompts Life to try to move.
He musters courage and proceeds further
as he imbibes wisdom
from little things he sees
in nature
in his day-to-day life…like:
A fertile green land in a vast sandy desert
Tiny seeds that spurt to grow
into young new seedlings
The gleaming full moon
spreading soft light
upon dreadful paths at midnight
A toddler who tries to get up
and walk with wobbly steps
in spite of falling down many times
A ladder in which
hope takes her first step
in its rungs
and ascends to new heights
overcoming obstacles
The dots of a rangoli
that would never let
the motifs of our thoughts waver
imparting spiritual insights into life
A pure white dove
sitting with its pair
a sign of hope
of finding a lost love.
As hope follows every form of hiatus
like buds finding way to bloom
at every trench of rocky soil
Life advances on and on…
It was at that moment,
when i realised my dream,
the goal that i want to achieve in my life,
but oh boy!, that path wasn't a cream
so i took the first step,
decided upon the means
i set out to conquer
the kings and the queens
hurdles came dancing in my path
obstacles were like pavement,
but yeah! i crossed the next step while
i was under the hindrances' enslavement
Failure too came
stopped by,
showed me their dirty face
but no, i didn't fall back
i carried on the race
This endurance went over
for a year,
within which i lost a few
and found new dears
Then the results came,
i was scared
who wouldn't be when it shows
how you fared
The result came anyways,
and what!!!!i succeeded with flying colors!
On that day i felt as if crossed the final hurdle
the dream came true which I've for so long woven
and with that my friends i crossed the stairway to heaven
yeah it felt like heaven on earth,
indeed it does
when your dream comes true,
which is your life's worth
Form:
I was well known
When I was alone
What was the necessity for you to come into my life?
To mess things up with no sign of strife?
You were the sweet dream that made me sleep a little longer
You have become my nightmares that made me a sleepwalker
My happy world is broken into bits and pieces
Am I able to find the crumbled slices?
What were you thinking when you made all the promises?
Didn't you realise there will be so many obstacles?
You are ready to hop on new relationship
That makes me think was I the only one who was sailing on this seaship?
You left for happiness
Why am I sinking in sadness?
My mind is still testing my capacity
I'm trying my best to touch harsh reality
Sometimes when am emotionally strangled
I sit in the corner of my room
and think and blink,
also cry untill my eyes run out of tears..
When I am hurt for any reason..
My..
Mind blabbers:
"May be I shouldn't have attained birth"
Specifically ~"Not as a girl"
Why me?!!!
If only I could be a boy ~
Would be physically strong,
could go out anytime without fear,
absolute freedom,
no security required,
no restrictions,
no molestation,
no labour pains..
sobs ..
Occupying the pause..
My..
Heart consoles:
Stop my dear
Throw away the fear
Freeze the tear
And glow like a fire
Face the obstacles being bold
I know you are strong
Being female you can bear a life within
you unlike a male.
Most of all ..
Gender doesn't seem to be an issue..whence there's strong willpower and confidence in you..!!!
Words are too short to describe your abilities,
talents and skills.
So you are empowered & independent.Be Stable.
Otherwise, I might explode.
Hearing those last words
I quickly grab my pillow
embrace it tight
unlock my might
close my sight
and imagine myself in a graveyard
I tremble ...oops,
That is not the place am supposed to be at mid-twenties..
I have just begun my life
There's lot more to explore
Long way to go.I sigh..
Placing my hand on my heart
listening to the loud thumps
Promised it saying..
I wouldn't give up nor break down for any reason
hereafter...!!!
"Be you" Never copy and transform into him or her!!
Be grateful to lord who has created You for a purpose.
Listen to your heart at the time of conflict;
It comforts you to handle situations with ease.

So many questions in this world we cannot answer…
No one can tell us why…
Why do tragedies happen everyday?
Why do children have to die?
This is the story of one child…
I wish I was singing a happier tune
but this child’s story is over…it ended much too soon.
She did not enter this world peacefully…although her birth was a joyous day
there were complications from the beginning…and more obstacles along the way.
Her story ended a few days ago…at least now she’s out of harm…
She has a place in heaven…she’s in the angel’s arms.
Her parents handled each setback with dignity…with courage…and with grace….
as they tried to cope with the kind of heartache no family should face.
There were trips to hospitals and surgeries…so much going on inside her
and her parents shared her pain and suffering as they stood stoically beside her.
It is a testament to their love…that as they suffered through the haze…
in the midst of all their sorrow…they found joy in other ways
For they loved their little daughter…that was plain for all to see
and they did the best they could to give her life some harmony.
I hope as the years go by…when they stop
when they pause a while…
they will remember more of the joy than the suffering…
and when they think of her…
they’ll smile.
Perhaps one day their questions will be answered…
when they join their daughter…out of harm
when they hold her again heaven…
when they’re together…
in the angel’s’ arms.
It was in the eighties, a winter day in Funchal,
the capital of Madeira, when a woman gave birth.
She was an anonymous, struggling woman
sailing the seas of poverty, with three other
children to feed.
At first, she hesitated to have this little baby,
the fourth to come, because the family salary
did not cover more. Her husband, a good man,
who fought in a war in Africa for years,
and, in a different way, still fighting with himself,
he was of no help to the family at that time.
Finally, she took a decision as a mum,
to give light to her new baby.
After that moment, nothing changed for years,
until this baby was a little boy.
Then, he started to show signs of being special.
His intelligence, the way he faced life,
his unique behaviour.
He started thinking about turning a football
into his livelihood to have a better future
for himself and his family, and he certainly did.
As a teenager, his father couldn´t help him much,
but he also liked football, so, that fed the boy´s dreams.
He had a hard time in Lisbon at the beginning
of his career at the football school. He also suffered
from bullying, something that helped him to increase
his aims even more.
However, he also had friends
whom he remembers with great affection.
When he was eighteen,
he spread his wings to fly higher. He went to England,
where his dream started to come true.
After that, the Funchal´s star
showed that light that became brighter and brighter.
He was the best football player in the world;
Portugal, England, Spain, Italy, and keep on going.
A little particle coming from a poor Portuguese area
that reached many hearts.
I, personally don´t like football too much,
but I´m really enchanted about stories
that have so much to teach us.
And not only that, but this well-known sportsperson
is also a well-known friend of those who need him.
He really jumped and sorted out hard obstacles
through his life, to achieve the goal he set
for himself as a child.
What a great lesson taught!,
splendid, admirable lady-mum,
outstanding, unbeatable son.
He was born as a shining star,
whose light illuminates many paths to follow,
as a professional sportsman and as a born fighter from humility.
I see beauty all around me
everywhere that I turn,just to
behold my surroundings is my only
concern,to live life to the fullest as is
my intent,to be happy with myself is
what keeps me content,my time is
spent pondering amazed at the
sights that I behold with my eyes,so
the adventures I encounter I am not
so surprised,in this life that I lead
the obstacles are many,though I
don't have a lot but yet I have
plenty,so yes I am blessed to be
breathing and well ,roaming free in
this world and not locked in a cell, for
it could always be worse I keep
telling myself,so in conclusion to
being at one with myself
Helen is hysterical, so witty you laugh until you cry,
She’s a little spit-fire, 4 foot 11 -- a bit of a short fry,
Now I can say that because she knows it’s said in jest,
There is no finer person, as a friend she is truly my best.
We met while nursing where we had so much fun,
Managing to laugh at work yet still get the job done.
While we have switched jobs and moved to a different place,
We are only as far away as it takes to pack our suitcase.
At my Mom and Dad’s funeral I was lost and very sad,
She sat by my side, filling in as family that I no longer had.
Always there in my life for the very best and worst of times,
If I need her, she gets to me, over obstacles she climbs,
Following major surgery she came to nurse me to health,
Her kindness, compassion and care, is her greatest wealth
She babysat my children and made my favourite meal,
Kraft dinner and homemade applesauce, oh what a deal.
She said I needed a pick me up, so she bought hair dye,
Slowly applying the hair colour, careful not to get in my eye.
When my hair went purple and ended up a flashy, brillant red,
She said you don’t need a mirror, just know you don’t look dead.
Our husbands understand our bond, having been through so much,
We never miss a birthday, Christmas or any reason to stay in touch,
I sometimes feel guilty as it seems she is always there to help me,
She’ll say “Oh don’t be so silly, it’s just because I love you Lee”
I never feel so good as I do when I am with my friend Helen,
Together we’ve nursed patients and even the occasional felon,
We met on my first nursing job and she became my best friend,
Some forty years later, our longtime friendship still has no end.
Dedicated to my best friend Helen Tilden

I of all people know it's okay to not he okay, but how many obstacles can I face before hopelessness sets in again and makes itself at home in my mind and body? I am tired. For how long must I be strong when strength alone isn't enough for this harsh world? When will I be enough? I need a miracle, a blessing. Not just me but my daughter and parents too for they have been by my side through it all, supporting me in every way they can. I would say to just skip me with the blessings and bless them please! But I am trying to be kinder to myself and believe that I am just as deserving of grace. I will admit that I am becoming increasingly tired though and there is a growing disconnect between my mind, heart and reality. I honestly don't know how much longer I can hold the fast-fracturing pieces of myself together. It has gotten harder to get out of bed, to get out of my head. My daughter is my tether to reality and she never asked to be. As a single mother, actually as a mother in general, I will do anything for her though. Anything. Especially staying alive when it seems like it would be better for everyone if I were to die. So I beg again, please universe show my daughter your kindness, she is only a baby.
Stay Strong ??
We have, weak moments
We have weak days
You can live in the moment
Just don't stay
Dont stay in your thoughts
Overcome them
Be your greatest teacher
Learn from them
Be strong
You will make it
Obstacles you will face it
Your strength keeps getting stronger ??
Your Faith keeps getting longer
You dont have to do it alone
Be strong
The strength
You never knew you had
Gets you through
Good days and bad
You don't have to do it alone
You have the power
To be strong
(Repeat 1x)
Tears have been shed
Head has been down
I picked it back up
Couldn't forget my crown
I deserved this round
To prove to myself
That I am that girl
Ive always been
I am determined
To win
Win battles that I thought I lost
Overcome And overcamed
Im so grateful I cant explain
The strength
You never knew you had
Gets you through
Good days and bad
You don't have to do it alone
You have the power
To be strong
Be strong
Be still
Let God Fulfill
(Repeat 1x)
The strength
You never knew you had
Gets you through
Good days and bad
You don't have to do it alone
You have the power
To be strong
(Repeat until chorus fades )
