Picking black raspberries
Wading through briars and underbrush
Knowing that there are snakes and spiders and such

Blue stained fingers capture the white lie
That laughs from lips dry, thirsty
For a sense of fluid feelings drizzling on naked skin

Drained by the tangerine sun glowing
Breathing light across the penetrating shadows
Aching to color hope with blazing embers of assurance

Thoughts drift across a numbed mind
Feelings blending carefully, music of humbleness
Bleeding crimson as the nicks from quick little thorns

Reflections of lavender memory
Melancholy dread and fear that spread
From silent screams echoing in the past, history

Finally my pail is filled to overflowing
Drinking in the liquid lure of laughter, light
Lasting from dawn to dusk, glimmering stardust muse

These berries will dissolve into moments
Hastening to enrich lives with precious promises
Of homemade jelly, domesticated flavors of rich grace

Prayers fall from my tongue
Beckoning to God with tender psalms
Erasing all recollection of the stinging
Brought on by bristles lingering
Protecting those berries from all harm

I have gone and taken away the ones
Who were sheltered – defenseless
Now they drizzle across my spoon
Sweet and succulent as a soft song

Let every berry flavor a heart
With kindness, joy, inspiration
That comes from nature’s charms

Dear Boss Now Your Power Is Lost

for 13 years you slandered me
i slid a slide to suicide
the nasty things you brand on me
changing my whole flipping life
a psychopath with evil intentions
covering up all looking eyes
I'm psycho too with lethal injections
gifting vision seeing lies

silenced me but now I rise
talk your talk The Pheo-Nicks flies
violence stored about to fly
truth will stalk you til you die

abusing power, that's not nice
I even warned and gave advice
told stop or we'll go twice
redundant minds don't realise
they will be served their own slice
laughing at my sorrowed cries
continuing to spread your lies
no let up and no demise
waking up a demon guy
never gone until I die
you were nasty now I'm sly

It might as well be another late afternoon
when new moon rises, bathed in honeydew
and gleaming with soft weariness: above,
mantled clouds bleach the lanes with first tinges
of blue-gray light, while figure sways pouring tea
and mint cheese on park benches, whistling
strains of linear intervals…intervals where violin
tones tap the breeze for some hint of mellow
hush. This sense of accepting what weighs
or buoys the tracks of soothing energy
pushes feet to circle among tumbleweeds,
ready to sink into hours of a genial night:

Like so, throats wheeze the vowels of tender
tunes brushing refrains of charity for some
sprig of warm comfort: after all, how can
a bursting sun account for the speed of fingers
clutching nicks of time mortal in workrooms,
racing barbed rails of hours hours lashed by
the 9 to 6 office grind… and to drop, drift,
dry off the weary body crackling stiff bones …
it’s about time for half-closed eyes to rest
from a dazed world demanding submission;

That is why heaven fashioned nightfall misty.

Premium Member Hellllllppppppppp I'Ve Lost My Knickers

Last night our kitchen light stopped working
It was intermittent all flashing and jerking
A replacement one was quickly needed
There was one on the shelves – our prayers were heeded

We were both up the ladder – we were drilling and screwing
Oh I am thankful my hubby knows what he’s doing
When the light switch was switched on
Bright golden glowing light gently shone

Everywhere was covered with a fine layer of dust
So I got out the hoover - I cursed and I cussed
I started cleaning the nooks and crannies
My hoover is quite new it’s not like my grannies

I hang lots of washing by the kitchen door
But something had dropped right onto the floor
The hoover sucked up my pink lacy knickers
The light on the hoover went red and flickers

I shouted my hubby please come here quick
The hoover has swallowed my frilly nicks
We started to laugh as we undid the cover
My pink dusty knickers we soon did discover

The moral of this story is hang on to your frillies
If not, your assets may get a dose of the chillies
I’m going to keep a tight grip of my panties
I wonder if my husband totally agrees

...Collaboration of Inspiration-Stevie Nicks Dedication

...so to the red rose grows the passion in the Enchanted Gate and Garden there
Whenever you call me friend and I believe I've come to understand that I'm the
Kind of woman with for whom you don't blame for having a Wild heart but you
know that you can always Talk to me you can set your secrets free you have given
me your Leather and you have taken from me my Lace I am stronger than you
know it all comes down to you lighting strikes maybe once maybe twice and you
see your Gyspy but you have to Stop draggin' my heart around because baby you
could never look me in the eye and say you didn't love me you buckled with the
weight of the words and looking at Rhiannon who is like a cat in the dark and
then she is the darkness and knowing that even in Dreams when the rain
washes you clean Sometimes it's a witch and no matter what they say Love's a
hard game to play you may need to Stand back in the middle of my room my
Bella Donna riding high a top her pony cause not everyone has Crystal visions
nor will everyone with their capes pulled around them tight cry for the Nightbird
some will see their refection in the snow covered hills until the Landslide brings
them down and even the Gold dust woman with her heartless challenge will pick
her path and for her we pray although on the Edge of seventeen things may Rock
a little and sadly enough Some will become strangers you will always have My
heart I never again want to Fall from grace even if time cast a spell on you never
will you forget me and in years past I tried to love you before but you would not let
me I am ready now to be your Silver spring blue green colors flashing and yes
I'm Strong enough remember I'm your Beauty and you are my Beast poet priest of
nothing Has anyone ever written anything for you in all your darkest hours did you
ever hear me sing listen to me now I sing for the things money can't buy me and
long After the glitter fades I will still be here you said If anyone falls in love it will
be done to us most of all I have to know when I can see you again because I
can't wait yes I know you though we've been out of touch...

Chaos In the White House - Part 2

like some sorority or fraternity house
left the sanctified righteous West Wing
with powder puffs sans canisters
   of pepper spray, whereby
most docile, humble, and liberal took a page
from playbook of Pandora, and took an aimless swing
at the root cause of melee by hurling objet’s d’art
   at the pompous trump ping
Septuagenarian, whose platoons of goons
rent asunder peoples against their king
the donnybrook heathen, whose remarks
against libertarian rubric that made America great
wantonly reviving prejudices declared dead
from yesteryear and his attempt to bring
back the glory days, when Whistler Blowers
   getting water boarded and aching

deigning to implement dictatorship
of the Proletariat as a capital idée fix
weaving together, the salient strengths
viz founding fathers credo gave licks
to King George, and now in an ironic
twist and shout of fate through eclectic mix
basket of deplorables further shamed
by being routed by the New York Nicks
sewed jaws, heads of state, and dignitaries
with limping bodies spent like derricks
Oil used up and no place to go except
to keep Alice Cooper Company with toys in the attics.

Premium Member Cannibal Picnic

Foreword: we’re all aware of the ’pot ate oh’ and ‘pert arter’ debate... well, in some English accents (including my own) there is a third version: ‘per tay ter’. I lean toward this pronunciation in this poem... So please don’t throw stones... or pertarters.

Two cannibals went hunting humans one day
Hoping a decent meal might come their way
They came to a beach and there was a boat
A skin and bone man said, ‘I’m six weeks afloat’

Because he was boney with so little muscle
They skewered that sailor with barely a tussle
A fire they lit and then over it
They perched our survivor like meat on a spit

One cannibal said he was off to find wood
You keep him turning to cook him real good
And then in an hour he stood there aghast
He’d never seen anyone turn meat so fast

His mate was rotating the spit roast like crazy
His victim’s arms flailing so fast they were hazy
The other one said turn it slow or be sure
That damned skinny human is gonna be raw

Well, the cannibal cook said with undisguised ire
I’m having to spin him fast over the fire.
So he won’t be cooked till quite a lot later
’cause each revolution he nicks a potater

Super Eagles Sinks Southies

SUPER EAGLES SINKS SOUTHIES

Eagle Ekong earthened the egregious encounter,
Edging Eagles emphatically into the lead thereafter,
As he slot from the Southies spot.
The target is to score which is paramount.4

The roar from the stance serenaded our headset.
Osimhen oozes class & pass into the net
But the middle man in black blighted the boys' joy
The Southies won a penalty, what a decoy.8

Super Eagles swerved and soared,
Solemly slotting in penalties and scored,
Seizing success in semi-finals showdown,
Solely slitted Southies souls till sundown,¹²

Securing sole spot swiftly, and still
Smartly stayed strong as a steel.
Eagles' epic endeavor ended in ecstasy,
Edging the earnest Bafana's efforts with no fugazy.¹6

Beating Bafana Bafana in a breathtaking battle,
Only one side can survive the obstacle;
The nerve-wracking shootout spectacle.¹?

Afcon newbie, Nwabali nicks nimble net-minders,
As Nigeria negated neatly their distant neighbours.
The salty Southies' sound soared into the sky.
The sound signs & spills a spontaneous sorrowful sigh.²³

SuperEagles sailed from the semi-finals
With steadfast spirit & supreme soccer skillfulness.
So, Super Eagles solemly soared,
South Africa's hopes were soured.
We sang our song, & scintillatingly scored.²8

The Bafana were "bafanered", serated on the spot.
For the love of the beautiful game, we fought,
Super Eagles soured steadfastly into the final,
Our success story summed-up at a single signal.³²

AI guys have got to pick your pocket or few

Wonder why dearly creatives are really gruff

Ponder artists fright...why they're in a right huff

As if their plight wasn’t nearly hard enough

Now AI picks alright clearly nicks natives stuff

Copyright blight.. tight AI guys fight with trite guff

Won’t share …it’s unfair…don’t care..life’s tough

Your ”off the cuff”.. they lazily buff.. crazily turn to fluff

Like a stranger getting your lover or wife up the duff

Red hot bot rot danger is rife but still they will just bluff

Strife..this lot don’t give a jot ..another blot we must rebuff

Muster the puff to bust their bluster..off they trot..play rough

Stand tall..together they’ll fall..grab by their neck’s scruff

As sagacity…loquacity.. bodacity & veracity techs nab & snuff

Authentic becomes drab identikit wrecks..cultures these vultures scuff

These AI fingers lingers in everyone else’s pies…Nuff is a Nuff

Yep and I can hear in my ear.. dear old.. Brian Clough chuff

                             “That’s Bloody rubbish”

AI guys lies..snaffling then raffling is baffling…but surprise surprise in the buff…it’s total shruff!

I'M Just Getting Started

I'm just getting started, but how could that be?
The golden years are the result of a beginning.
I guess there are beginnings at the end as well.
Is this how you are to feel, like a kid starting out?
Maybe this time I will be a little wiser than I was.
I feel that I am, but I also know better than that.
You can always take that road, that wrong turn.
I will admit it, I have made some bad choices.
Maybe that is why some people call me crazy.
That could be the case, but what is the reason?
Some think that it must have to do with a woman.
I think it must be all those crazy things we did.
Like the beat nicks and those hippies, crazy stuff.
I still have my old beret and some tie-dye shirts.
No, I don't think I have the energy for all that.
I did learn a lot about how not to live your life.
There are a few little secrets that I could tell you.
Make sure all your words are good and sweet.
You never know when you might have to eat them.
If you ever find heaven, hell won't be far behind.
And in the game of love, only the lonely can play.
I am just getting started, to conquer the world.
But now that I think about it, I said that last time.
This time that leap will need more than blind faith.
But then I have been known to be just a bit crazy!
