America used to be great, then we stopped reaching for the stars.
We let our petty differences dictate just where we are.
We separated church and state, we took God right out of our schools.
We point our fingers and judge and keep changing all of the rules.
Everyone was created equal, that’s a statement we seem to forget.
God loves all of his children and he doesn’t play favorites.
Whether you are gay, straight or transgender, black, white or red.
Jesus loves us all equally, don’t judge, just make your own bed.
None of us have the right, to pass judgement and force our beliefs.
We all will answer to God on the day he comes to debrief.
The next time you’re on your soapbox and look down your nose at me.
Remember you’re not alone, he’s watching and he can see.
Entered Jerusalem in a triumphant way
Exited Jerusalem, what a painful day!
In the first, Jesus was carried on a donkey
In the second, carrying the cross stumbled He
First time, "Hosanna in the highest" was the song
Next time, "Crucify Him" was the cry of the throng
Before, branches of palm leaves were laid in welcome
After, wooden cross was laid on His shoulder numb
In the first, people on the road spread their garments
In the second, soldiers divided His garments
The first time, His disciples accompanied Him
The next time, His disciples fled the scene so grim
The first instance brought to Jesus immense glory
The next instance brought out His intense misery
First time, the sun was shining bright for all its worth
Next time, extensive darkness covered the whole earth
Two processions involving our Lord Jesus Christ
One, He is glorified, other, He's sacrificed.

The moment is finally here
When we have something to share
And I can feel a sudden tension flowing in the air
The evening is dry and long with its arrow
And they are getting ready for the song
The patrol police is walking around with long guns
Looking for the thieves all over the street
The birds are flying across the grey clouds
And the evening is crying out very loud
They are moving around in a unifying motion
And they are flying silently to the west
A long line of them just flew over my head
What on earth is going on ?
Maybe they are going to bury the dead
The traffic is rolling in and the night is very dim
Big trucks, fire trucks, bread vans and police vans
Driving up and down the frantic street
The weather has tightens its belt and
And grey clouds suddenly change to night
The town is just feeling the new year's weight
And many things are out of date
I dig deep to search for something inside
But all I felt was complete emptiness
I tried to reach out for the
Gods but they too are feeling sad
And for that split moment
My body starts feeling hot and I knew
That heaven is watching my back
I looked on the people’s face
And I could see a touch of humility flowing in
But some faces void of expression
No quarreling, no complaining
They are just walking
They seem to be going somewhere
But they are not going anywhere
They are walking straight into their destiny,
They don’t know the next move
And some of them look quite confuse
Oh, I forget it is Friday
And the week is almost done
And the new year is on the run
I was hoping to have some fun
But one year is spilling into another
And there is no direct order
The story has just come alive
And the cars are lining up on Kings Street
They are coming from the East
With eyes positioned on the beast
It is Friday and the night is on the run
Catch it before it slips away from you.
Weathered black veined granite walls
Built so many years before
Moss covers the slippery walls
Stained black by years of endless rain
Grass grows on antique slate shingles
Ferns grow in nearly unseen cracks
Caused by ages of neglect
The name has long since faded
The plate fell away and vanished
If it was ever there
Moonlight flickers between distant clouds
Shining through broken stained glass
Dancing on a mahogany coffin
Every morning a red rose arrives
Sitting on steps worn long before
No one knows from where
Who lies in this silent home?
No one will tell if anyone even remembers
The rose wilts into dust
Carried away with the next sun
Whoever lies in this eternal rest sleeps quietly
Knowing that one person
Unknown to the rest of the world
Remembers them at least once a day
And for them…that is enough.
love rest,love is at peace,age of 93
age of 93 is a quote of love and peace
age is just a number but quote is love and peace
knowing a quote,knowing a number,knowing love and peace
knowing peace, knowing love, knowing at the age of 93
quote of the unknown, quote of the known
the unknown is the known of love and peace
daddy I’ve known you for 55 years
through the good and bad times you gave me wisdom and experience
wisdom and experience I will know the rest of my life
a skill set,a skill wisdom,a skill experience
you gave me the knowledge of wisdom
you gave me the skill to set off and settle in life
the sunset settle off in a skill of life
skill and peace settle you off in the next life
the next life you will carry the throne like a king
the next life you will live in a kingdom of kings and queens
queen of mountain, king of mountain shall give you the throne, throne of god
mountain of queen, mountain of king shall give you the love you desire
full of mountain, full of queens, full of kings
full of mountain shall give you the desire to live like a king and queen
(this is a little form I cooked up last year and called it 7/5 trochee. I like to use it for fun little tales. Saw this dog the other day!)
Little dog nearby my house,
cone around his neck.
Guess if he could talk, he’d bark:
What the bleeping heck?
What’s the mutt supposed to do
if he wants a bone,
with his head so tiny stuck
deep inside that cone?
Do his doggy buddies laugh,
seeing him like that?
He can’t even catch a break.
Sure won’t catch a cat!
Next I see him trying to
poke his scraggly head,
not with great success at all,
in a flower bed.
I should tell his owner that
cones look pretty lame.
Let the poor thing stay inside;
Save his hide from shame!
Anyway, the sight of him
made me come right home -
after a good chuckle - to
write this silly poem!
One quarter century will close its door
And twenty-twenty-six will then begin
A brand new year, a pristine slate to store
Fresh days of weeks and months that lie within
Compared to this first quarter, which has passed
The coming year will shape another phase
That new technology so fast amassed-
And hate or love it, it will change our ways
One aspect that is breaking many hearts
Unveiling recent powers of AI
Creating now, our written works and arts
As humanoid robots, our tasks comply
Twenty-twenty-six, our Pandora's Box-
Where are you heading that will rearrange
Next quarter century of building blocks
And are we ready for each unknown change
In twenty-five more years, what will we face
What else will new technology invent
As twenty-twenty-six joins in this race
To multiply AI's unknown torment
Shoes on the lawn
every single one
a reminder
of someone
no longer there
cause no one would dare
speak out or decry
yet tears haven't run dry
so there they are
a colorful panorama
it's not frivolous drama
this is real
Feel...
Each pair's a silent scream
of a parent's shattered dream
empty places
grief stricken faces
empty seats
No after school treats
empty beds
because of the empty heads
of politicians who are fed
blood stained money instead
shoes on the lawn
night goes down to dawn
a mother cries
another student dies
shooters shoot
emotionally unstable
undetected, they are able
mentally deranged
from society estranged
they roam in the land of the free
more guns is NOT the key
what about the stats
all those bloodied facts
other countries? not the same!
Here mass shooting's a game
BS is the name
to give to the excuses! What a shame!
A shame!
Look....See
Shoes on the lawn
Don't just stand there and yawn
put aside your pride
Think of all who have died
Look...see
The next pair of shoes
could belong to me
or to you
there's so much you can do
you know it is true
You can help stop the madness
and help heal the sadness
Oh...how my heart aches to see...
those shoes...
those multicolored empty shoes
scattered on the lawn...
Eileen Manassian
I’m never like this
I keep moving
After one fails
I go to the next
But you’re different
I don’t wanna mess up
Don’t wanna sneak around
Rather be with you than them
Thought you’d be easy
I was completely wrong
Thought I could change you
But you’re changing me
Making me think things over
Got me deep in my feelings for you
Maybe I should stop playing
And focus on you
Cause I can’t explain it
You make me feel something
That I don’t feel with anyone else
Especially when we lock eyes
Everything stopped
Everything was quiet
Everything disappeared
Everything except you
Tired of running away, instead
I wanna start something new with you
The next life will see me as a skyscraper
Thirty seven stories tall
With shiny clean windows
Overlooking Kansas City
Which had never had one before…
I will overlook my fantastic fountains
Admiring multi-colored people pointing up at me
Loving their astounded faces
I will be painted orange yellow, like twilight.
In the Crossroads district
For it is the one that would accept me.
There will only be one messy window.
It will be on the ground floor
With lots and lots of color exuding from it
And a red window box with happy hot pink geraniums
People will get closer and peek in, wondering what is going on
They will see my granddaughter, Molly, an artist, painting.
In the background will be oodles and oodles of color.
I puff up in pride thinking of it.
