It Started Off As Fun

It all started as fun like it usually does
Back when she was a great girl who'd always been beautifully loved
Way back before she'd been brutally touched
She goes out weekly and has a few drink like most teens
She doesn't let boys get close, only in their dreams
She goes to university to try and make her future career better
One day she gives in to peer pressure
She's scared when alone, but they don't feel Fear together
Her friends pressure her into popping pills
Now the world is not as real
She's feels high but low at the same time
Trying to think, but is struggling with her mind
She leaves the bar with a strange guy, who spoke kind words
There's no harm in a little flirt
Is what her friends say, but that night he gets her out of her skirt
Takes her home, but never calls back
Her whole confidence, begins to fall flat
Now she's doing lines of cocaine almost daily
Her and her friends haven't spoke lately
She's going off the rails, her friends should be keeping her on track
This is when her whole world starts to turn black
She used to say she'd only give a chance to a man who treats her
But her new man, disrespects and beats her
She knows her time is coming, she doesn't have long left
She keeps taking the wrong steps
Her dreams are broken and faith's lost
Her teeth are rotting and she's had a severe weight loss
We all know how enjoyable sex is
But she doesn't enjoy it, she's sleeping around for her next fix
As long as she gets the drugs she doesn't care about being respected
She's happy to continue destroying the beauty she was blessed with
There's places she doesn't want to visit on her next trip
She's not into small talk or sharing the facts
She's just doing what she can, for her next heroin bag
Her man beats her worse than before, because he finds out she has aids
No new beginning
No happy ending
No chance of winning
She's almost at the end of the chapter on her page
She's never been suicidal
But she's been caught in a vicious cycle
She grabs the knife and cuts until she bleeds
Tears in her eyes, right before her heart no longer beats
I wrote this based off the world we live in, so this girl doesn't exist
But there are plenty of true stories just like this
I wish this had a happy ending, because this girl was meant to set the world alight
But it's a sad story of how drugs ruined a girls life

Premium Member Kith

KITH

I have told you who l am numerous times. But you just took me for a regular creature, all of you have failed the test of recognition; I am not all human, yet it is just the human side of me catching up to my lost soul;

My Spirit has preceded me in space, time and perception.
My daughter left me because she was my Mother:

My Kith no longer recognizes me because my
thought patterns were antagonized by the misplacement of its pattern.
My Original Kith has fallen into the depths of the human experience.
This time I came to sort out those things that held us back -
Those things that prevented you from knowing me.
I am not yet with the universal creator; Nor am I yet with total God mind -

I am only privileged to be as an interpreter of what I've experienced.
Those foul and unclean thoughts and deeds that kept me defiled will serve to enlighten so that you do not have to experience them, I have been made pure and wise, now able to rise.
I have been exalted to the Mother-Dome.

I come seeking those who want to know my reason for being, to let them experience life through my eyes.
Realization of my extraordinary existence came during a bout with celibacy when a zephyr came through my window and seductively filled me with awesome bliss.
It was then I understood the magnitude of my sex appeal that somehow,
I had always rejected.
Wanted only to be loved for merely being born.

People trying to get inside of me or as close as they could get infringingly,

they wanted to be a power over me or sup from my body or somehow.
Impregnate me with their own will.
Though as an Eagle, or a Sphinx, Oft' times I must cluck,
for they certainly do not understand my language -

"I am not just by happenstance" –
"I have happened to you" !.

I ‘vied lived to pay my debt to you. Yet, if you do not make it … in this sphere
I will call to you, and you will arise from the cinders in stages.
All who experience me as their "Mother" will hear my call - And while the earth burns and the Water dwindles; As the oxygen becomes toxic; I cannot develop gills again …
Yet, instill, I’m here for you, and all who follow my mind leaps shall come with me to new heights, and a new beginning… I cannot keep clucking around on the ground, it’s time for conscious spirits to rise and soar while speaking the language of our kith.

Unable to let go

Foundation of the piece.

Is life just a purging of the soul and to ascend to a higher plane of existence,

do you have to let go of everything and everybody you once loved or knew?

To do so?

Or would you wait to be called to join them if separated because you couldn't let go of your old life?

Title:

Unable to let go

(A lone raspy voice talks in the fog as it slithers in - to a hidden audience)

I crossed over
In March

On the fifth

In the year of our Lord
1902

And all these sad years
I've sat

Patiently waiting for her

I've watched
Our old beautiful world
Burn

Through the blackest of fire filled nights

Through two world wars

Witnessed hearts bleed
With incomprehensible need

Seen corruption and illusions unfold

Hand in hand
With greed

Out in the warm and cold

As the seduced welcomed evil into their strongholds

Watched shining stars fall
Sat thinking of my fate

As I wait
Pining asking myself

When will she call me to walk and join her through that silver gate

That I look to

Down this dark road
Every second

Whenever I think
Of her

For I've looked in
Old memories that once beckoned

Explored all the seconds and who knows
Linked to being found guilty of sin

Chased paper boats
With endless time

Just hoping
She's coping
In Heaven

And not broken in two
Like me
In this Deep Divine

But still
Perched

Upon this rock
Chained like Prometheus

I
Wait

Even though the Mendli
You lot listening

Think I'm crazy
But my old Love
Still cuts me open

Making me cling to an old life

With wild dreams of a new beginning

So angels
Forgive me

But hear me
Quick

Take my hand
And lead me home
To her

Give me the Star Fire
If this can't happen

Or you can't do it

For I fear
I can no longer
Wait

For the opening of that gate

So let me cross the burning sand barriers

Step straight through the eternal fire

For is waiting for true love
The price

Worth all this pain

As one
Moves on
And one remains

Show me a happy couple
And I'll show you the fire that ignites

And it's that light
That I pray

Keeps carrying me
On horseback

To my beloved wife

Throughout
All these
Endless nights

As I fight Father Time
To return to that old life

Moonlight Adventure

The beautiful day begins in the house.
At the end of it, all that’s left of it is the moon,
Shimmering in all the night’s light.
A door to another world opens.
The only movement is a page turning in a book.
Suddenly, without notice, an inconceivable object drops.

The thing jumps and twirls and once again drops.
A person from another time, the future, enters the large house.
The man, pacing back and forward, finally sends away the hovering book.
He magically transports it to the glistening moon.
Something like a black hole, a portal inexplicably opens.
The book vanishes in a fading yellow light.

The visitor sees something bright, a room full of light.
And inside, a piece of paper from the hands of a child drops.
The door of the room slightly, quietly opens.
A child and her grandmother are drawing and inscrutable house.
In a circle and a beam of inconceivable beauty appears the moon.
On the page, like the hovering object, once again, is the sight of a book.

The child explains that she has, many times that year, read the book.
But her grandmother slowly shows the girl the true “light”.
Now, the girl understands that she was wrong, and now appears the moon!
It comes closer and closer, and then, like a shooting star, down it drops.
The planet has gone down from the sky to have a conversation in the house.
The moon elegantly flies in, as large as an elephant, and its mouth opens.

And now all of the people come close together and a road opens.
The grandmother and child are guided by a rather large book.
In time, the home disappears; they have left the house.
The book vanishes, and all that leads them is a guiding light.
The key to a room, calmly, as if carried by the wind, drops.
“Come in and let’s have a talk,” says not a person, but a face in white, the moon.

The grandmother is surprised, for she is seeing the real, live moon.
A beautiful and long conversation through all the night opens.
Then as dawn arrives, blood-red, the tone of their voices drops.
Grandmother and child come out of the wonderful book.
Outside it is day, a new beginning, another lively light.
They walk o’er their field and talk till’ they reach the house.

In the morning, the otherworldly man leaves the house.
Also, he disappears in a now magnificent golden light.
That is the end; there are no more pages in this book.

Phoenix's Resolve

As the sun ascends in the azure expanse,
I reflect on the journey that brought me here,
A journey fraught with trials and tribulations,
Yet crowned with triumph and redemption.

I recall the moments of doubt and despair,
When the weight of the world threatened to crush me,
But from the depths of despair, I arose,
Like a phoenix reborn from the ashes of adversity.

Each scar upon my flesh tells a story,
A story of battles fought and victories won,
For every wound inflicted, I emerged stronger,
A testament to the indomitable human spirit.

With each passing day, I embrace the dawn,
Embracing the promise of a new beginning,
For in the embrace of the morning light,
I find solace, strength, and renewal.

I cast aside the shackles of doubt and fear,
And step boldly into the unknown,
For I know that within me lies the power,
To conquer mountains and defy the odds.

So let the world tremble and the heavens quake,
I stand unshaken, a beacon of hope,
For within me dwells the unwavering resolve,
To overcome, to endure, to triumph.

With every heartbeat, I proclaim my strength,
A strength forged in the crucible of adversity,
For I am not defined by my scars,
But by the courage with which I face each challenge.

In the tapestry of life, I am a thread,
Woven into the fabric of existence,
And though I may fray and unravel at times,
I will never break, for my spirit is unbreakable.

So let the winds of change blow and the tides shift,
I stand firm, anchored to my convictions,
For I am a warrior, a survivor, a victor,
And I will never surrender, for I am triumphant.

Even as the shadows lengthen and the day fades,
I stand tall, bathed in the twilight's glow,
For in every ending, there lies a new beginning,
And in every challenge, an opportunity to grow.

As the stars twinkle in the velvet sky above,
I whisper a silent prayer of gratitude,
For the trials that shaped me, the lessons learned,
And the resilience that carried me through.

So let the world marvel at my resilience,
For I am a testament to the human spirit,
And though the road may be long and arduous,
I will continue to journey forward, undaunted.

For in every setback, there lies a comeback,
And in every obstacle, a chance to rise,
And with each step I take, I move closer,
To the realization of my dreams, my triumph.

The Arrival of Justice

she cowers in the corner
when he comes home the
mere clomp of the boots
make their way to the room
wherein she is hiding her
breathing rapidly increasing
her heart thumping louder
than his footsteps growing
closer while she tries to
work out her next move she
is pulled out from under
the bed by her ankles what
happens next you imagine
in your worst terror if you
can picture a glass bottle
being forcefully thrown
point-blank at a plane of
brand-new asphalt smashing
splintering all over the place
cutting slicing hurting
maiming everything in its
path the shards never to be
removed but instead to inflame
infect to etch permanent
physical scars in her skin to
mirror to echo the emotional
the mental scars vibrating
maddening throughout her
body the cycle continues
day after day week after
week year after year the
whole while making any
possible memory of what
he was before it all began
when she swore herself to
him when they smiled
together when the proverbial
demons were nowhere to
be seen yet now they are
all that she sees without a
free moment to breathe
anything but fear sadness
blood still caked on the side
of her cheek she slides
quicker quicker quicker
into the red the darker the
color as the pain explodes
in her brain as each day’s
torment torture brings
what she never thought
possible a new surprise of
momentously malicious
proportions until she breaks
like the glass he broke a
hundred thousand times
she closes her eyes grips
whatever is heavy blunt
sharp killing device with
both hands comes crashing
down hard swift powerful
with every bit of strength
that she has inside her that
she has kept pent up inside
the whole while she has been
beaten beaten beaten for
years now always covering
up her wounds sharing not
a second of her story to
anyone always lying to her
best friends her family now
all ending all wrapping up
the story when his head
smashed like glass spattered
gushing flowing a maroon
pool all over the floor she
drops the instrument of her
freedom from him her freedom
from all the pain she lifts her
head she does not cry a
tear for all her tears have been
cried out she leaves the room
in silence a silence so sweet
it sings a million new melodies
which illustrate the possibility of
a new beginning.

NEW AWAKENING, NEVER GOING BACK

When nighttime comes
I long for a kiss
from my partner’s sweet sucking lips
to make me forget the craziness around me
When I wake up at nighttime
I want to eat fried chicken
to quell my upset spirit
and calm my anger
I don’t know why conservative politicians who have so much are so unhappy denying families food stamps and safe shelter.
Right-wing politicians have not a warm heart that beats human. Do
they know what their malevolent thoughts and acts do to people?
They hurt the lives of the fast dwindling American middle class
however, with gorged bellies they expand their bank accounts.
This is not the way to represent Americans honestly, ignoring the neediest while showering opulence on the wealthy
Greed is at the politician's core;
always wanting more and more.
Americans work hard to provide for their families
politicians should do no less for the working American.
The American voter should be more compassionate.
We are not a young country anymore, we have no excuses.
It is time to make our hopes real by acting as a mature nation and fulfilling the promises of the Constitution.
Countries racing toward the precipice of total world war
can no longer assume the position of sole earth owners.
The word for the century is share as there is plenty for everyone
especially the poor and working people.
It has nothing to do with who works harder or is the wisest.
it's about politicians working together for the people who pay their salary and to share life's resources equally
and to stop wasting our nation's treasure.
Above all, cease creating wars and killing people in our name
understand that time does not stand still, it moves on with or without us and remember history does not look kindly on corrupt nations
It is our offspring that are important for tomorrow's world.
Congressional GOP leaders disregard people's welfare at their peril; doomed to eternal hell for greed from which there is no escape, led by a corrupt, narcissistic, misogynistic, misanthropic criminal president that bodes an ill wind that offers no good for nobody.
A criminal wanna-be president today has no place in American politics and must be banned for all time
Americans scream it's a new beginning so no, not no. but hell no!
We won't go ... back!

If We Begin Again

If I start all over again,
This time, will you fall in love with me?
If I play your favorite songs,
Will you find yourself lost in me?

If I call you for an evening tea,
Will you come with a bouquet of roses, carefree?
If I buy red bangles just to see you smile,
Will you wear them with pride, even just for a while?
If I wish to share my thoughts with you,
Will you stay a little longer and listen too?

If I start all over again,
This time, will you fall in love with me?

If I start a new,
Will you make me your habit too?
Your voice, I adore,
Will you sing me your favorite songs once more?

I want to watch the setting sun someday,
Will you walk beside me for a few steps that way?
I get lost in my tangled thoughts,
Will you untangle them when my mind knots?

If I start all over again,
This time, will you fall in love with me?

If I start anew,
Will you stay this time, not bid adieu?
I'm not used to having someone always near,
Will you change my habits and calm my fear?

If in anger, I tell you to leave,
Will you hold on, even when it’s hard to believe?
If I sulk over little things,
Will you be the one to end my sufferings?

If I break down and start to cry,
Will you hold on to the fears that make me shy?
I often pause while speaking my heart,
Will you listen to the silence that tears me apart?

If I start all over again,
Will you love me like a story with no end?

I want to sulk sometimes, will you come and coax me back?
When I run away from myself, will you find my track?
I’m trying to fix what’s broken within,
Will you wait for me till I find peace again?

If I can’t hold myself anymore,
Will you stand by me and fight this war?
Let’s just say we start from the beginning,
Will you complete our unfinished story and make it worth winning?
The scars on my heart, that ache and burn,
Will you heal them with your love in return?

If I come closer to you,
Will you erase the distance and make us two?
If I gather courage to place my shattered heart before you,
Will you love me once again and mend it anew?

I wonder, this time when we meet,
Will it be a new beginning, not just a fleeting beat?
But every time I hope for more,
You always end it with a soft "goodbye" at the door.

But still,
If I start all over again,
Will you love me this time...
For real?

Whispers of Dawn

A reflecting angel, deep inside,
forgives the past, sets sins aside.
Rising above yesterday's pain,
embracing change, a sunlit rain.

Greed's dark shadow, a fading stain,
washed clean by a heart that gives again.
Hate's cold grip, now loosens its hold,
melting in night's quiet, brave and bold.

Fear, a fragile ice, starts to thaw,
in morning's gentle, golden draw.
Sorrows take flight, on wings of light,
as a brand new day banishes night.

A new beginning, a fresh, clear start,
hope's soft whisper, touching the heart.
The soul awakens, pure and bright,
bathed in dawn's forgiving light.

Shadows retreat, their power gone,
as a brighter future is born.
A spirit reborn, renewed and free,
from burdens of the past, finally.

Inner peace flows, a gentle stream,
washing away life's harsh extreme.
Compassion guides, a steady hand,
leading to love's promised land.

Each passing moment, a precious gift,
a chance to grow, a chance to lift.
The weight of worry, starts to cease,
replaced by joy, and inner peace.

Let kindness bloom, a vibrant flower,
spreading its fragrance, hour by hour.
Forgive yourself, for mistakes you've made,
on this journey of life's parade.

Embrace the sun, feel its warm embrace,
let healing touch your weary face.
Believe in yourself, your strength untold,
a future awaits, bright as gold.

Open your heart, to love's embrace,
find comfort in this sacred space.
Let your spirit soar, on wings so high,
reaching for dreams, beneath the sky.

A gentle breeze whispers through the trees,
carrying hope on the evening breeze.
The stars ignite, a celestial show,
as the seeds of hope begin to grow.

Let go of anger, frustration's sting,
listen to life's songs that softly sing.
Find solace in nature's gentle hand,
a peaceful refuge in this promised land.

Every sunrise, a chance to start anew,
a promise whispered, honest and true.
Trust in the journey, the path you tread,
with hope as your guide, and faith ahead.

The world may change, seasons may turn,
but within you, a strong spirit will burn.
Embrace the present, let worries cease,
find your own joy, your inner peace.

Let your light shine, a beacon so bright,
guiding others through darkest night.
For in your heart, hope takes its flight,
a new dawn breaks, a future bright.

A Spiritually Wilted Wild Flower

Life has thrown dirt on me, and I grew a wild flower.
A demon's knife cuts into my spirituality, and I watch my soul be devoured.
Open Bibles lay on my night stands, I keep crosses hanging over each bed.
In my mind I'm wondering wastelands, and I feel like the walking dead!

The emotional scars can't seem to heal, and I search frantically for a way out.
I know Satan is looking for a soul to steal, and so he challenges me to a 12 round bout!
He throws all my weaknesses at me; not one or two, but all at one time.
I indulge in adultery, pick up a gun, inhale some cocaine residue, and set out to commit a
crime!

His evil punches right through me, gripping my heart, and twisting it from side to side.
An upheaval crashes into my reality, tearing my world apart, pushing me closer to suicide!
He keeps a band of demons in my head, and they're doing pushups and jumping jacks in my
mind.
Tear stained cheeks from tears I've shed, and his attacks have left me mentally blind.

Out of the blue, I have a sudden desire to fight back.
I wipe away the cocaine residue, for in my chest the fire feels like a shot of cognac!
I pull my fiery sword from my spiritual backpack, and get in my battle stance.
Like bombs over Iraq, me and the devil begin to violently dance.
It is a dance of death, and I am determined to survive!
I refuse to let this entity take my last breath, and so my will kicks in to overdrive!

The blows from this devil staggers me, and I feel uneasy on my feet.
My sword begins to glow with a hot fury, and I can feel my hammering heartbeat.
I begin to shake with rage, and gripping my sword I go berserk.
This devil had all the powers of a battle mage, but I let my blade do the work!

Spiritually, mentally, I slice and dice this demonic foe.
I will not be this entities sacrifice, for I'm the last heir of Edgar Allen Poe.
I'm gaining spiritual momentum, but I refuse to stop.
As I destroy this devils evil system, I continue to conquer life's mountain top!

Suddenly this evil is banished in a puff of black smoke, never to be seen again.
I remove my blood soaked black cloak, and I feel as if I'm finally purged of my sin.
I now thirst for a new beginning, and the taste of life is sweet and sour.
A former loser, now focused on winning, and no longer am I a wilted wild flower!!
