The Rejection and the Welcome Mat

she sends me an invitation to her 'no' club
i reply by praying for the salvation of her whole
a hole of New Senses is what i am digging for these days
i send her an invitation to my 'friendship unconditional' community
i include a link to an ebony welcome mat 'With Love and Sincerity'
maybe one day God will provide a door for a chance meeting once again
the knocker and the answerer....on He Knows For Sure....
the only thing i can do from there is simply move on and softly anticipate while progressing
personal choice is not a makeshift stop sign....it is actually Divinely Provided Green Light

Welcome Mat

Welcome Mat…. by: Steven Hudson

Hands tremble at the grip in my hand,
Two worlds collide in moments of time,
The trigger shakes, while onlookers scorn
What once was peace, now a violent storm

Away ye dogs of thunder come to plunder my house!
Who come to grant me the title of fatherless son
You knocked on our door looking for trouble
But when trouble rose to greet you, you froze like a mouse.

I did not seek you out, you forced a delinquents hand
It was only justice, to protect that which I love
The pulse that quickens, the fear that sickens
The weight of words preceding a heavy handed blow

What was meant to destroy me
Only proved to employ me
For in the face of my enemy the only choice remains
To stand strong, stand fast, that my losses, may become gains.

Premium Member Tic Tac the Wonderful Cat With a Special Mat

Tic Tac Was A Wonderful Cat

And for That Reason, He Had A Special Mat

It Was A Special Place to Go

At the End of The Day When Tic Tac Felt Slow

But One Day When the Sun Was Done

Tic Tac Wanted A Place to Put His Bum

But the Dog in The House Was A Very Quiet Mouse

When He Was Walking Around

Looking to Sit Down

Well the Dog Was on Tic Tac's Spot

And Tic Tac Was Very Hot

So, He Started to Meow

Which Made the Dog Howl?

The Two Had A Fight

Showing Their Might

And in The End

Tic Tac Was Able to Defend

The Mat That Was Reserved for Tic Tac the Wonderful Cat

Premium Member She Was Magnificently Smart

Pig Patty Plop ran into the Laundry mat,
From the awful butcher she was hiding.
Tired, busy mommy was taking some shirts out,
Bubbles hit the floor, and Patty was soon sliding.

She tried to hide under a young child's chair,
But the child let out an enormous scream.
She jumped into a white plastic laundry basket,
But her enormously fat posterior was not clean.

An apron-ed butcher walked in and glared around,
A maniacal man, holding his butcher knife.
On a cell phone we called the police in town.
and they arrested him, detectives from vice.

The pig was hailed a hero, and honored in the town hall.
Saving the rest of the crew from a butcher, deranged, was he.
As a prize for saving the rest of the patrons, eleven in all,
She was allowed to take a spin in washer number thirty- three

Premium Member The Cat Sat On the Mat

They all come in
There’s a family din
But the cat sat on the mat

Tea time done
They have some fun
But the cat sat on the mat

It’s early evening
Kids are screaming
But the cat sat on the mat

Eight at night
Kids out of sight
But the cat sat on the mat

News at Ten
For Kate and Ben
But the cat sat on the mat

A cold winter’s night
Folk tucked up tight
But the cat sat on the mat

Three in the morning
The house is snoring
But the cat sat on the mat

Mice scurry past
Could it be their last?
But the cat sat on the mat

Seven in the morning
Milk is pouring
But the cat sat on the mat

What is wrong with this cat?
Oh - it’s dead!

Paul Le Mat, the guy
Who drove the yellow roadster
in American
Grafitti starred in the show,
Aloha Bobby & Rose,

With friend Manuel
Padilla Jr. who played
The little kid in
The Tarzan series of the
Mid-sixties as Jai, Scarface,

Also, Grafitti,
Wanted to cash their weekly
Studio paychecks,
But they knew of the hotel
'DO NOT CASH' memo, but they had

Known of this sucker,
Behind the desk chiefly named,
Tom, so I did cash
it and made two new friends for
the longest two minutes, e'er.

***Manuel, who was two years older than me, has since passed but Paul, who was in his early thirties at the time, is still kicking at 73 years of age.

Used As a Door Mat No Longer

I've always been settling
When others are meddling
In my life never knowing
I'm upset and will start showing
My true colors that's been hiding
But they are burning and sliding
Up my throat and they will be
Released with intensity
That will shock you with surprise
The woman before your eyes
Is not silent any more
My emotional back door
Will be flooding you so much
When my feelings start to rush
Out of me because I can't
Stop this crazy insane rant
Those that ever did me wrong
Will get my wrath that's so strong
Because I'm no longer weak
My crazy and hot peak
Has been hidden and burnt out
Until one more scream and shout
Woke it up and made it start
Flickering so bright and hot
Sometimes people see my sweetness
As a sign of total weakness
There's only so much I employ
Before I shut down and destroy
The people who are so smug
Thinking I will only shrug
Thier nastiness off once more
That's how I was just before
I was forced to act upon
All the hurt, sorrow and wrong
I've endured from childhood
Growing I tried to be good
Not acting and retaliate
On this undeserving hate
Until someone goes to far
Pushing this angelic star
To the dark side of a world
Of demons that have hurled
Me into a place never known
On my face it's clearly shown
My fingers making a fist
My insides starting to twist
Feelings of a new kind
Start to fill my unclear mind
I no longer have control of
I'm about to push and shove
Right back without any frets
Bullies are gonna regret
Treating me like a door mat
I've had it and THAT IS THAT

Premium Member Nick and Mat, a Thanksgiving Story

Hello. My name is Nicholas, and you can call me Nick. I also must tell you about Matthew, and you can call him Mat. I once despised Mat and others like him, but now he has become my best friend. I am the Pharisee and Nick is the Publican about whom Jesus gave a parable. There was an occasion when Mat and I went to the temple to pray at the same time. I'm sure you would agree that my thanksgiving prayer left no doubt about what I was most grateful for. My prayer described a 'righteous' person who despised others unlike himself. I was thankful for that. Jesus used me as a perfect example of a person who is 'thankfully righteous' in his own eyes and with those same eyes, look down on other people.

Listen if you will to a short prayer I once prayed that I would never utter again because my life has been completely changed. "OH GOD, I THANK YOU that I am not like other people-robbers, crooks, adulterers, or, heaven forbid, like this tax man. I fast twice a week and tithe on all my income. Now, listen to Mat's prayer. He had no pride nor anything to boast about. "God, give mercy. Forgive me, a sinner." *

It was as if I had a Thanksgiving Holiday Spread filled with everything for my personal satisfaction. i.e. I had an overflowing POT of "I'm not like other people". I had a larger than normal BOWL of "I fast two times a week". I had a commercial-sized PAN of "I give tithes of all I possess". I had a big PLATTER of "I am a just man". I had a PLATE full of "I'm faithful to my wife". My dining table was overflowing with things I feasted on. I was full of it; full of myself. Yet, after feasting on all that I had, I was still hungry and empty, unjustified, abased, and unacceptable by God. On the other hand, the tax collector came hungry and empty but left filled, fulfilled, forgiven, and justified by God.

I later met Jesus and became born again. Now, I despise none and love everyone. And now, like my best friend Mat, I know how to pray, and I understand the true meaning of Thanksgiving.

Getting thangs 2-gather

Gold per ounce the weight of
the trophy
Sake denounced the intent of
The Songbird
Might love pronounce me in
announcement
Closer than my goals
to achievement
Inspiration inspire
to such elevations
To make envy those
who opposed me
Inspiration quiet my foes
Into shame
Might they stand in such
Awe of me
Inspiration make my way
Clear, unopposed I might
Sooth my way clear
Might I stand to thank
thee
Inspiration make me
Worship thee

He seemed to gain, that he would spend in such for quality
Paired, both with the same purpose. Such inclusion to create
the greatest entity. The sounds of harmonic voices. Soothing
Melonic tones. Orchestrated perfections. Lyrics of collaborated tones!

Temperer de Adagio
Sweet bassy Grooves.
Platinum Panties
On the right song
Like a good woman
Something Really Special!
Toasting perfection a smooth
Coupled togetherness
Horns and strings and all sorts
Of Polite and Courteous thangs!
When the wood wins!
