Loitering around at the expense
of my parents back,
I too wish to be at the resemblance
of hardworking thumbs,
those same fingers that sewed
the futile grounds back home,
my mother’s yuca farm,
my father's dying crops,
dance taking their final
waltz with the tumble-
weeds in direction
where my ancestors
sleep while their bones
continue
to prosper,
their voices evoke
within the breeze
that had asked
for generational appeal
to the heavens that took
their last breath,
“My body crisp
at the sight of the sun,
my mind wavers as my heart
knows endless
bounties of weeds,
twisting,
turning,
suffocating,
all of life beneath
our breaths,
Yet The Night is upon us,
offering eternal rest as
mercy has finally reached
it's limits, a new vision
begins alongside
the Golden
thread of Youth,
a soul that marked
a beginning and now
an end.”
All that's left withered
away as each ancestor
departs,
my parents left their grounds,
the vibrancy of life dried
up leaving no generations
behind,
My Youth became
their bodies and my life
framed forever in each
era of my ancestors.
I am the ring around Saturn
spinning words as particles of ice and dust
with the power to transcend
I am the original chosen to be right here right now
transmitting verbal frequencies
through speaking my thoughts into existence
I am the heir of omnipotence,
born with a direct connection to profound abundance
The one whose words will age, yet still have substance;
since there are no boundaries attached to my pen
I am constant energy
Translating personal experience into imagery
Vulnerable to tyranny,
yet i continue attempting to share some truth
through this abstract language of poetry
I am the core
I am that I am more
I am the Divine Presence that is the Source of my rewards
I am the green you get when you mix too much yellow with the blue
That shade of gold you get when the sun resides into darkness
and when it ascends in the dawn burning dew
I am the transition between the third and fourth dimension of time;
the love you feel when you realize how it feels
I am the poem that is abstractly direct
because I write beyond limits
absorbing frequencies from 3 to 8 hertz
through meditation for several minutes
I am the one bridging the gap between
the analog ascension and the direct connection to spirit
The one who is love
because I am a descendent of it
I am the rhythm that the wind blows
I am the beginning and the ending of stories told
about the universe and how miracles unfold
I hold the power to accept judgement from those who will do just that
Not knowing that I am them in the absolute reality of me
Judge that
I am knowledge beyond measure because that is my right
So I continue meeting the different parts of me
when I meditate and write
Who am I?
I AM, THAT, I AM
They met back in school when perms were in style..
Now they’re fifty-seven and wickedly wild.
A sisterhood forged in detention and pranks..
Now fueled by cocktails and cackles and tanks.
Derani and Adrianne? Soulmates for sure..
Joined at the hip and bonded by lore.
They gossip, they giggle, they drink in sync..
And dare you to challenge their best-friend link.
Then there’s Jacqui.. a goddess of stage..
She channels Cher’s drama, Eurythmics rage.
She belts out *"Believe"* with a wig and a strut..
Mic in one hand, the other on her butt.
Michelle may be small, but don't take her lightly..
Her shoulders are boulders, her grip is unsightly.
She once arm-wrestled a guy twice her size..
He cried, she flexed, and winked both her eyes.
Tracey’s just ditched a man full of crap..
She’s sipping red wine and plotting a slap.
She’s single, she’s spicy, she’s dancing on chairs..
Shouting, “Freedom looks *hot* — and I’ve got new wares!”
And dear Marlene, the host with the most..
Baby sis of Adrianne, proud to boast.
But don’t cross her vibe or you’re bound to regret..
She’ll say “ off” before lighting a cigarette.
They toast to the past, to the mayhem and men..
To surviving their youth.. and doing it again.
No filters, no limits, no shame in their game..
These queens of the chaos will never be tame.
NOT ANYMORE
Growing up was bitter-sweet
Strong and confident at first
Insecure in the middle
Shy and naïve; close to his prime
Afraid, naïve, and broken- to be expected
And the assertion goes on,
To him
Being broken and healed….
Yet it was hidden there
In the heart, mind, and all other magically crafted stores within
And then he plunged and broke free, soaring,
Now he was
Grasping all the confidence made bare
Extinguishing, fiercely, the once and
Still, dangerously lingering trace of the bitter past…..
NOT ANYMORE…. An anthem, now
Pushing him to greatness and to the highest altitude,
And Yes!
NOT ANYMORE….
To the;
Days of Darkness-Past,
The evilness that seeks to destroy,
The inferiority that limits me- close to nothingness,
The non-entity which was desired to be branded on me,
The chances I missed to Love HIM (God),
And
The carry-away excuses I made to prevent myself from expressing my
Sincere LOVE and Gratitude to my Awesome Family (THE ASANGALISAHS’ AND ADIALEYS’)…..

Get a job! (Soapbox Poetry)
Reaching your hand in another man’s pocket
Taking your fill, still you’re screaming for more
Limits are reached due to faults in the system
What do our children have waiting in store?
~~~
Why should I work when you owe me a living?
I cast my vote so you’ll pay in my name
Making excuses, yes that’s what I’m good at
It’s never me, someone else is to blame
Can’t take that job, for it’s too far beneath me
Flipping those burgers will send me to drink
I’ll sit at home watching reruns of Dallas
Lost in the sofa and close to the brink
She lives next door and she’s up every morning
Riding the bus so she can get ahead
Feeding her children and wants no assistance
It’s so much easier staying in bed
He walks to work, seven miles down the highway
That is so dumb and why can’t he see
Just a short stroll down the way to the mailbox
All that you need will be given for free
Look at the news, the work force is tanking
Why even try when they hand me the cash
Maybe some food and a six-pack of Miller
Leaving enough for my getting high stash
~~~
It is so sad the state of our nation
Laziness now is a medal to wear
Please bear in mind this is just my opinion
Just a few thoughts that I wanted to share
Ok, I know I will get some flack for this and yes, many, many do need assistance because of health problems, disabilities, etc. I have no problem with that, but just as many take advantage of the system, making it tough for those who truly need it. I work hard for a living and I know there are jobs out there if people want to do them. Maybe they aren’t glamorous or what some saw themselves doing, but they are out there.
Stuck in a burrow dug in fallow land of dismissal,
l don’t know what in notion foundation of thing
humans with insight think as art of living,
conspicuous within sanctuary of soul.
Survival fight throws sordid living into dark abyss,
rupturing frail scaffold of my transitory tomorrow,
shards thrown in ruins of dismal instants,
I can’t run away from sucking chasm.
Failing to find way of flight I try to light lamp of aim,
and light up ambiguous last strip of dark path,
survival instinct within gloomy nook of my mind
prompts to crawl calmly to doorsill of coming days.
As vivacious today surmounts spasm of agony,
turning living spirit into a flash in dark night,
and at dawn into chromatic rays of rising sun,
limits of blissful soul surpass bounds of infinity.

Fill the Breeze with your laughter your touch mist fragrant kiss for the Soul.
To rest in the arms of love is Amorous where this story is told
In all seasons April showers bring May flowers also
Joy Peace bells reveal a beautiful fragrant breeze of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation kisses in a reserved place..
Wrapped in clouds of White many white eagles' white robe cushions
In color basket pure gold!
Skyview became our home for a minute before I woke up
Out of my dreams of being surrounded by our bed
His perfumed body is unique.
our imperfections excepted and appreciated with loving
kindness our eyes a glow for one another!
Remembered every time of the night or the daytime view
Every minute every second every hour
Everything is a Breeze Everything is a new Kiss
of new Expectations.
Waves Energy Electro-born Man has already
faced what roads challenge
his mind to comprehend beyond the limits of outer thinking and longings
This leads to the heart's desire wishes and dreams that do come true
What is a mate from the Lord? some may ask
that question my answer Is an opinion of what one feast feels is!
A Woman who is cherished and also valued by man's
input that is shared gives restoration to his needs
A bone of the bone flesh of the flesh
Course balance close is my comment silent anticipation like a happy tree
Rejuvenates like the feast of Jubilee the dream wish fulfilled
When he first called me his very own My knees fail to keep me sturdy
oh my I stood at a place of no return when he said love you
and a silent whisper sadly came to my lips my eyes moist with the spirit of dizziness my soul went where no one had ever taken it before far into my mind's eye could span So I wrote on my nightstand table
God's gift to Man is Woman my Truth.
Nature waits with pristine beauty
to paint landscape pictures dainty,
but canvas remains blank hidden
like white faces of town children.
Winter comes on wings of north wind,
dazzle of snow makes vision blind.
The meadows once green pale frozen
like white faces of town children.
Enticing autumn winds blow high
within the limits of blue sky,
detached clumps of cloud are driven
like white faces of town children.
In the garden behind the fence
remote spring enters in silence.
Wan jasmine petals still glisten
like white faces of town children.

I do look at the ocean with longing
I have often seen that mass of water, ever since I was a child
I live, after all, on an island surrounded on all sides by a salty spring
Yet, now, looking at it, I do feel a sudden rush, it makes me wild
Looking at it, I do believe I am but the ocean's child
I wish I could build my own boat
A small one, with strength and resistance
On it, towards the world's limits, I would float
From Greece to Egypt, from India to France
A boat of strength, on it I would float, going where it wills, in good abidance !
Maybe I would find the king of mermaids
Maybe I would find the lost city of Atlantis
Why, maybe I would even find the world's most wanted caids
Why, my boat, my dream boat, it shall take me to my own Adonis
Yes, looking at the sea, I dream of mermaids, of a bold lover, in all, of peace!
Something old, something new!
I rebirth beyond what my roots eschew.
I ascend from my descendant's group shadow,
to rise above and beyond what they bestow.
I cannot shed their genes and heritage.
While I respect my upbringing and parentage.
I rise above the limits of pedigree,
to shred the trammel bounds of mediocrity.
So here I stand both old and new.
Living a dream they never knew.
With the blockchain defining my past,
Eaten with my fate in a defiant repast.
My genes define my descendants' phenotype.
Alas I cannot change their archetype,
beyond the mutations in my DNA,
to give my progeny my ascent display.
Arise descendant now ascendant
Bask in joyous glee resplendent.
