What’s good enough for me is a quiet night
A soft embrace makes my world feel right
A cup of warmth and toke of the soul
A gentle breeze helping me feel whole
What’s good enough for me is honest love
A peaceful heart calming my skies above
Sounds of laughter echoing with cheer
Trusted love of my life always near
What’s good enough for me is letting go
Of all the weight keeping me moving slow
A path to walk with lightness in my feet
Moments with old friends when we meet
What’s good enough for me is inner peace
A life where worries and noise can cease
Live to grow not simply chasing after more
Finding the beauty in what life has in store
What’s good enough for me is simply this…
A home, warm meals, love and nights of bliss
Shadow in the realms
Moving around and around
Noticed I reflection of my own
Even my shadow could feel the sadness
In my heart
Seeing the beauty of the realm
Shadow in my heart
I ached in pain
Tears in my eyes
As I wanted to be
Lightness in the shadow
Beauty with brains
Devil in disguise
And stars in the space
As I roam around my realm
There I saw a bird in the cage
As I free the bird
It came and sit upon me
As I was her saviour
Or she would be deceased
As I roamed she roamed with me
We became friends who were lonely
In my realm
Of shadows and imagination
I roam around freely
Without any humans to be found
This is the realm I created
My own town
Kingdom I established
Kingdom of my own
I’m the owner
The one and only
As I live upon
Soul-are
Is my soul conscious at this time?
No further question marks in asking
as the query is itself the answer
tentative and playful statement
of intent of letting go solutions
to a problem which is not
The conscious soul
There is an ‘is’ somewhere
out there in there and
where they meet when
is and when they not
No definition and it is
at the point and time
the fleeting flowing moment
ever changing change
‘My’ is longing and belonging
when the meaning wanders
me in fragments wholeness
wonderment and expectation
pondering what’s mine
possessions baggage lightness
entitlements and freedom’s safety
When I am and not am and both
and stand and fall proceed
my journey un-arrested
‘Soul’ my essence source
alone conjoined the Universe
en-lived en-storied
told untold narration from within
without because of why
and how my circles spin
spiral radiate alive and morbid
mortal where the crossing
exit point and destination
questions not what there if now
is after momentary permanent
impermanence for ever lasting
going gone beheld in truth
‘Conscious’ of the contradictions
compliments of contemplation
complementing opposites and syntheses
polar angles sides perspectives
hidden exposed below the surface
and above the tidal mark
of scion’s collaborated offspring
consciousness of consciousness
transcendental comprehension
and awareness of what can
can not be understood
‘At’ where at when at
is lost and found and lost again
no at without the it and as and I
attending context inconsistent
alterations wrapped in time
location in perceptions
‘This’ that there is here
for now and when it is
and gone just when the past
has changed from present
to the future this and
present past and yet again
is what there is appraised
forgotten passed surpassed
uncommented in meditation
upon reflection feeling thought
‘Time’ so much so little just enough
and left beyond the time of time
when time has come will go and stay
forever when my consciousness
which was has gone

Contest entered: Is your soul conscious at this time?
The main purpose of life is to live rightly, think rightly, act rightly. The soul must languish when we give all our thought to the body.

Winter is a suitable time to savor,
Silent, quite starving for, my only flavor.
Quiet seclusion enhances my languish,
Providing pause, meditation, and favor.
Frozen days of chilly nip raise my anguish,
Apply comfy sheets, light for cold to vanquish.
A dreadful bulk of cloud and a brisk breeze,
Inspire sloth in a book respite, prankish.
Beautifully arching shrubs and trees,
A ballet of nature's dreams and appease.
White feathers tumble to the soil below,
As sapphire shines, emerald first wheeze.
Fumes in chimneys coil, merge, and grow,
I burn a recollection as shadows undergo.
Crystal-clear river, frozen pearls, pristine,
Wind gusts at dusk in a cold stream flow.
It's peaceful in my heart and serene,
And mesmerized by the gorgeous scene.
Calm and eased by the stark lightness.
Winter is when I languish, purify, and shrine.
Indigo optimism overlays placid rightness,
Potent nature pride ethereal brightness.
A lovely mix of purple haze made it lighter,
Insignia aesthetic—only ebbing politeness.
How Can This Be…
How can this be…
Amazing grace survives
in ruins of self-inflicted rubble -
False walls of lies –
Where brittle stars
Explode
With love,
Escaping
Tones of pale platinum
Grey guilt -
Jagged traps of swirling revenge -
Imploding
Into the first watch
Of renewing lightness;
How can this heart -
Clothed in the naked shades of shame -
Not flee into lies of fantasy;
Retribution redeemed
Before eyes waking,
Blessed in blinding colored facets
As mercy sweeps away faceless bitterness;
How can this be,,.
Found –
Confronted -
By gentle hands of creation
And called beloved child,
Daring not look up into the redeeming eyes of majesty,
But live beneath amazing wings of hair raising joy;
Disbelief overwhelmed in
Elation,
No longer chained behind
The curtain of crushing blame,
All consuming gratitude on fallen knees,
A thousand pieces of brokenness
Fit perfectly again
Like the creation designed before the abyss
Became mute –
Earthen treasure seamlessly restored
Wearing rings of benedictions
Spoken in blinding grace -
How can this be…
Elusive Gold
What was I to do
Ready when I was born
the message moved slower
as I labored faster
Every year It asked
why do you not hear
It tried in multiple tongues
dreams
thinking
asking
shouting
But
My shattered wings ceased to fly
unable to lift
severed imaginings
mired judgment
buried senses
another broken heart
Yet
Somehow
the scales of being
this weighing tray
opposite hunger
righted itself
balance appeared
No longer mere weight of spent symbols
colored brushstrokes seeking perfect hue
scored adagios desperate for scherzo's flight
vacuous words scribed upon lonely pages
Never again would patience be lost
dreams left abandoned
sunrise avoided
silence deemed enemy
The elusive lightness of soul
tilted the scales ever so gently
ever so lightly
opening eyes
where a mist of tearful memories
escaped the prison of self pity
Love arrived
The man in my past,
I met him in the quiet of the field,
Where sunlight poured like honey on his face.
He was there, laughing at nothing and everything,
And the world felt softer around him.
He walked with a lightness I envied,
Every step like it belonged to him alone.
I watched from a distance, spellbound,
Not knowing that soon he would be mine.
We shared glances that lasted too long,
Smiles that spoke more than words ever could.
His hand brushed mine,
And the ground beneath seemed to hum.
I felt a warmth I didn’t know I could feel.
The sun set one day like a slow fire,
And I realized I would remember him forever.
Every touch, every smile, every word
Was carved into my heart,
Like the footprints we left in the soft earth.
When he left, the field felt empty,
The wind seemed to whisper his name.
But I carry him everywhere,
In the way I smile at small wonders,
In the way my heart still remembers him.
He was the man in my past,
But not a shadow, a light,
I loved him then, I remember him now,
And some loves are too true to ever fade.
Bent on reprisal sword in hand
Gonzalo and friends paddle ahead
To Alcácer Do Sal where Christians
By Moors are held
Concealed by dusk
Disembarking their boat
Toward the city bravely walk
Hiding from view they observe
Moorish girls and men sport around
Dancing on the grass for Bairam fest
Dazzling among companions
Sweet loveliness beyond compare
Charming in lightness and glamour
Captured by her smile Gonzalo
Maddened with love
Rushing into the crowd snatches her, loses her
Snatches her again from the belligerent crowd
Flattered by his valorous effort
Falls in his arms tight the girl enamored
Burning with love they run
Having escaped she converts
Joining body and soul in married joy
Not meant to last
Much too much happiness
For one heart to hold
Princess bids farewell to the world.
A monk now Gonzalo
Her image in heart of his heart
Reflected in the beauty all around
Sweetness of her fragrance in the flowers
Her gaiety in all playful seek and hide
And in the bell ringing prayer
Her name Fatima
Bridge between warring sides.
Fatima by Gonzalo named is where Mary
Preceded by The Angel of Peace,
Chose to appear to three children
Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta
With signs and wonders
And the sun dancing in the sky
Witnessed by thousands
Warning of the abode of the damned
Where souls that nobody prays for
Or sacrifice for end
With a promise of peace and a request
To pray the rosary, convert, make amends
Consecrate Russia and all wars will end
Or nations will vanish from the earth.
When you hear peace sweet deceit
It’s world war three drum beat
Bent by suffering to its knees
A remnant will beg God for peace
The peace that through Mary God will give.
Taught Iago to trance,
the pungent smell made me balance the stance,
raided the 'pulse' and sought no other deviant,
I was looted in the same way I soared above all the monumentleness,
and got into it ahead.
They told us that we 'like' the hold on the today's whole whole because of the ways that the daze distracts in haze, on lightness and bled out fazed rocketry-
totality toward tanking is the remaking so I can start happily planking the tanned plinked' out shaking,
and be my own staking-
he'd let me know in an outside laking that the entanglements are not withstood otherwise so in our own eye's we tie and tie, and say goodbye doll, die die!
Your own forgiveness is in a way it's own stay yet the hearing does not go over that one flip and dive to dig like it's all sits in...
Your keep and your bold are not getting as old as the try in our sky and demand of the night to spy...
I'd take anyone on in a jimmin' janky dotton berry heelie feelie wheelie straight down the center of common carry.
she shed her clothes and tiptoed to the water’s edge
the moon bathed her pink skin, showing the lightness of her backside
faeries and elves pretended to sleep, but felt delighted
in the corner of a shadow a watcher stared, mesmerized and intrigued
she took out a spell book and read an enchantment.
The water began to move and bubble; it looked like it was boiling.
hidden watcher was fixated on the witch, wondering at her prowess.
he did not hear the faeries or the elves, having little imagination.
cloud shadows crossed the moon, making the watcher look up.
He heard a splash, but the witch was gone. Had she jumped in?
He stared at the water for twenty or thirty minutes.
Expecting her to reappear, but she never did.
Was she an illusion? A dream? A sorceress? He stayed a bit longer.
It is the bewitching pool, one of the gnomes whispered.
But he did not hear, and was frightened by what he had seen.
Even more terrifying was what he had not seen.
