We never saw it coming, we were all at university
studying to be the future intelligentsia.
We wanted to be lawyers, accountants, and bankers,
we wanted to be science teachers, podiatrists, and politicians
and we made it!
We had the degrees and the diplomas. The recognition
and applause of a grateful nation.
Yet, a creeping uncertainty came upon us,
barbers, beauticians, plumbers, and contractors
began to look at us with pitying eyes.
It slowly dawned upon even us
that our kind of intelligence
was synthetic, by-rote, and inflexible.
We could only see what we were taught,
and we were taught by the self-deluded.
Ordinary working people began to see through us.
Their minds were growing perceptive, insightful,
and far-seeing. There's were the real intellect
and comprehension.
theirs the true understanding and acumen.
Life itself had led them into seeking questions
we had never thought to ask.
At first they attempted to transfer their greater acuity
onto us, but we just did not get it at all.
We were not prepared for real thinking.
We knew though that we still ruled society,
and so we kept telling ourselves how smart we were
while all those other's that did not have our book smarts
tried hard to ignore our ever increasing dumbness.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away;
But hugs are the best for your heart.
They say all is fair in love and in war,
But fair can keep lovers apart.
Normal’s a setting on washing machines,
But love is extraordinaire.
So don’t let the sun set on anger or spite;
Apologize gently, with care.
“It ain’t broke, don’t fix it” might go for a car,
But love is an ongoing work.
Measure twice, cut once, take care what you say,
‘Cuz love doesn’t suffer a jerk.
Culture’s what grows in the back of the fridge;
For love, you must cultivate.
Absence, they say, makes the heart grow fonder,
But presence is truly what sates.
Some idiot thought fear was better than love;
For that, there’s derisive laughter.
They say that one’s pride comes before the big fall,
But lawyers come shortly thereafter.
A horse led to water can’t be made to drink,
But roses can go a long way.
“You reap what you sow” should give one pause to think,
Attend to your love every day!
Some say love’s euphoric, it intoxicates,
But a love that is real, it seems,
Is a garden that’s tended to every day,
Not some blissful escape of your dreams.
Honest salesman is a semi-oxymoron
Just like an honest politician
Please do not laugh, all lawyers or
Accountants are not crooks. When the door
Is wide open a mouse, a rat, a cockroach
Would me more than happy to approach
Some politicians have tried to be better
And more credible. Some are men/women of honor
However, others are pathological liars
They are professionals who behave like traitors
They think that the "truth is not the truth". They're confused
Lies are lies. Dogs are dogs. Politicians play politics
Call the exterminators to annihilate the ticks
Liars always ignore the truth. Please, let's not mused
In politics, it is probably not easy to be too honest
Because so much is involved. Let's chase the pests
The corrupt politicians who are ruining everything
And destroying the dream. Let them flee. Let's ring
The bells. Not all politicians are crooked or criminals
That's true. I am not lying, just check the election polls.

they die for you
at night, alone, they cry from your noose
infants born starving on your military base
Usually lawyers marvel at these various cases
Still they die for you
Faced down in the devils tears
Last goodbyes from your noose
Like a soldier
To be your hero is their responsiblity
Bury your dehydrated ruins beneath that boulder
Move along swiftly, maintain, your agility
Rest your head amongst this heated, sunbeded sand
The only purity our lucifer may ever release
Seems you have fallen victim to an unleaded hand
When sincere to be, is your only peace
Will you protect us
When we try you
Will you hang for our neglected trust
You have been trained and suited to kill
Yet when you kill
It becomes a recruited appeal to a soldiers will
Tell me does it hurt
To leave on a conquest to serve your nation
Yet upon your return
Greetings, and welcome home's are in great hesitation
Now you stand before the same individuals that sent you to war
Only here on your soil have you become a convict for cruetly
These common acts of defending your life's declining bar
Don't you just love the way congress decieves it's people,
Betrays it's army
Feeds herione to infants through disinfected needles
When I'm dead and gone nothing you do can harm me
Poetry soup, they die for you
At night, alone, they cry from your noose
Yet you convict them, crimes of war
Our red and white stripes
Beginning to fade burgandy amongst the stars
If no one else is here for you
Like our soldiers
I'll stand and remain fragile
At times that I crearly cannot win

Somewhere in this world today,
An addict will quit drugs or alcohol.
In a Recovery Program, or try his
own way.
I know it's so cool to have a loser
around.
But give it up, folks, many sober
people abound.
You don't know them because they act just like you.
They don't brag about the gift
of being substance free!
They are teachers, doctors, lawyers, brokers.
So stop sneering when you see
an addict.
Many are more sober and way famous far more
than me or you.
So instead of giving up on a helpless bloke,
Say a prayer that they will be saved and remember..
"There but for the grace of God, go I!"
And that, my friends, is no joke!

I was beaten into silence as a young
child from my father's brutalizing rage
and psychological torture.
When I was 5, a man exposed himself, to me
I ran fast terrified, no words spoken.
When I was 21 my boyfriend said, “I’m going to
F-Up your pretty face so no one ever looks
at you again, with that, I had no words.
When the ER doc urged me to tell the Police
this boyfriend fractured my cheekbone and
blackened my eyes, I had no words.
When riots broke out in high school, a large boy
shoved me against the wall, his hands on my
throat, he yelled say something, I had no words.
When several powerful lawyers I worked
with made sexual comments, I quit instead
of finding my words.
When a careless driver struck me down
altering my life, as I lay in the street,
a crowd around me, I had no words.
While visiting a relative, her drunken boyfriend
kicked me in the eye almost detaching my
retina, in court I cried, no words spoken.
At a club, drank soda, got dizzy; a guy put me
in his car, as I vomited; he threw me behind a building;
I never spoke of this attempted rape.
When my ex-husband committed
emotional & physical crimes against me,
I left without a word.
Still society has bullied me into silence otherwise
risk the harsh judgment of their punishing
remarks on my character.
Today, my words are not so eloquent,
but they contain hard truths, as
God is always my Witness.
An orchestra in Melbourne
Is embroiled in a dispute
With a concert pianist who had
A horn he had to toot.
He told the audience he’d play,
Not Mozart, as was planned,
But new music as a tribute
And he hoped they’d understand.
His friend composed the piece to honor
Journalists who’d died
In Gaza and his thoughts about
The war he could not hide,
Putting all the blame on Israel.
He can feel that way, of course,
But a concert’s not the venue
To trap listeners by force.
There were repercussions, naturally,
And lawyers are involved,
But no matter what the outcome,
What should clearly be resolved
Is that concerts are for music
And, with classics in demand,
All political discussion
Should be absolutely banned.
Mocking Bird
Mocking Bird Mocking bird can't fly,
Mocking bird can't sing,
Mocking Bird is unable to walk.
She's not allowed to do anything.
Cold naked, all alone,
in dark dirty room that,
daddy calls her home.
Strapped in a straitjacket,
and chained to a chair,
hosed down and beaten every day,
never even allowed to cry.
not a word,
Her daddy wanted it that way.
Daddy called it love.
The last exit to hell in,
in the city of angels, a town they call L.A.
For twelve long years,
Her daddy kept her that way.
At night her daddy force feeds her slops
then chains her to her bed.
They found her when she turned thirteen
Labelled her the feral wild, child.
So she blames herself,
for her life that never was.
And She dreams in echoes of a life that might have been.
The experts and lawyers fought over her night and day,
At the last exit to hell
In the City of Angels, a town they call L.A
Mocking bird can’t sing,
Mocking bird can’t talk,
Mocking Bird cant even walk.
But she can only hop like a rabbit.
And She is now a free bird,
but she is still locked away,
At the last exit to hell in a town called L.A.
She dreams in echo's,
of a life that might have been,
And the mocking bird is now a Mocking Jay
Foe, she does not exist either way.
Even now She's locked in dark dirty room
that's black, blue and gray .
that The State of California calls her home.
Locked away in the City of Angels
A city they call L.A.
Echoes of a life that might have been.
Locked away in the City of Angels
A town called L.A.
Echoes of a life, that might have been.
that might have been,
In HELL a HELL they call L.A.

Note. this is a true story, when she was discovered, she couldn't walk (she could hop like a rabbit). She was chained to a chair for 13 years. She couldn't feed herself; she couldn't cry, she couldn't talk (even now she cannot speak whole sentences. She is regarded as highly intelligent but State of California still has her locked away in hell.

Android Pleasures
Androids take on actions of their own these days
As intellectuals of the highest order
With all the advancements in science and technology
These thinking machines remain the same in other ways
They still have no feelings and no gender
But this point makes them perfect candidates as counselors
Free to talk on politics and sex
Educating people, helping them to be friends
Help them become better partners in the bed
They are brave to talk on intimate sexual parts and sexy things
Being they have none of their own
New nude positions are their specialty
They are pure geniuses on naughty anatomy
Androids charge as much as lawyers do
In fact, much more
For services rendered in the end
Are you sure they are not human?
I feel like I’m being screwed
Does this job come with a lube?
