Weight of words

Whiskey fueled words, a father's flawed design
Cut deep that night, a lesion that still defines
At sixteen, I was young, vulnerable and afraid
"Lose weight," he said, as if love had a weight to trade

He made a bet, a twisted, drunken test
A crude sum he'd pay if I passed his cruel quest
To shrink myself, to fit his mold and frame
Approval hinged on kilograms, a toxic, shameful game

"No one would want to marry you" words that stuck
A truth I'd found to be true, a heart that felt broken and rough
Now I hate mirrors, they show me the flaws
A constant reminder of the voice that says
"You're not enough, you have to change, you have to be more"

The wounds linger, a fragile self worth's toll
A memory that whispers, "You're not whole."

I see the weight I've carried long
A burden lifted, a new strength I've found
I'm learning to love the skin I'm in
Still struggling but getting better,
letting go of his sin

Intellectually I know, he was lost in drink and pain
and I am still finding my way, breaking the chain
Learning to love myself, flaws and all
Finding my voice, standing tall

Even if at times I slip and fall
I am God's daughter after all

Premium Member Six Point Three Five Kilograms

One stone… but please not one ounce more!
Just three cheese straws… or was it four
Nut-crackers made for breaking in
To hardened shells with nuts within
Candies there to tempt my eye
Selected as I wander by
Soft mint creams with chocolate skin
And one more glass of gin

What we call a stone, is, in fact, fourteen pounds
But this British measure so often confounds
About the same weight as two newborns in prams
It’s also called Six point three five kilograms

Two stone… but please not one ounce more,
Those pigs in blankets, I adore
Turkey; roast with stuffing in
Sparkling wine instead of gin
Gammon with an orange glaze
Honeyed parsnips hold my gaze
Cocktail sausage on a stick
And gravy rich and thick

What we call a stone, is, in fact, fourteen pounds
But this British measure so often confounds
About the same weight as two newborns in prams
It’s also called Six point three five kilograms

Three stone… But now it’s nearer four,
Dad, your pants don’t fit no more
Wife says, “Slice of cake for you?”
I say, “No,” but then I do
Mince pies, cake, profiteroles
Christmas pudding, sausage rolls
Custard, jelly, squirty cream
Tried the scales… but hear me scream!
…
…
What we call a stone, is, in fact, fourteen pounds
But this British measure so often confounds
About the same weight as two newborns in prams
It’s also called Six point three five kilograms

One stone, two stone, three stone…… and FOUR!
My tum’s a shadow on the floor
I was male but now not sure
For I can’t see the proof no more
But sausage rolls that went uneaten
Were never gonna see me beaten
So, it’s diet meals drunk through a straw
Like every Christmas gone before

Oh contraire… my Frigidaire
Is full of sherry trifle
I took a little peek in there
A truly festive eyeful
I’m fit to burst but I don’t care
For Christmas MUST HAVE trifle
I’ve got a bowl, I’ve got a spare
I’VE GOTTA HAVE THAT TRIFLE!

What we call a stone, is, in fact, fourteen pounds
But this British measure so often confounds
About the same weight as two newborns in prams
It’s also called Six point three five kilograms

Wild bird

I saw him in an old farmer's cowhouse, Dancing and playing with other playmates, He was alone among the birds in the black house, I was certainly attracted by his catchy traits,
Felt mercy on him for his loneliness, Wanted to pull out his pointless isolation,
And got him for a few hundreds, my goodness,
Freed him in my farm with hesitation,
Few months had moved suddenly, He controlled the complete farm boldly, Had become a most matured adult lovely, His gobbler frightened all the fowls mostly,
He was nearly eight kilograms in ninety days, The labours were feared to feed the wild bird, Surprisingly my dog was afraid to maintain the space, Was he an arrogant adolescent multibird? .
He walked like a majestic military man, His nine inches prolonged beard made him proud, Never missed noticing the wild anchor man, I was very happy to hear the Turkey's sound.

Premium Member Fat Girl Cries

fat girl cries
big fat tears
splash
crash
down her chubby cheeks
down her pillar like neck
which was once
much like a swan
now gone

fat girl sighs
big fat sigh...
a heart groan of a sigh
from the empty place inside
where beauty's not allowed to reside

fat girl sleeps
a big fat sleep
time obliterated
memories conjugated
into happy streams
peaches and cream
all over her dreams
everything perfect...it seems

fat girl awakes
a big fat awakening...
life must go on
she lumbers to the mirror
stares at her big fat figure
rolls here and there
and though she acts
acts like they're not there
she's not allowed to forget
she's not there....
not yet

she exercises
torturous kilometers by
holding on to handles
beginning the treadmill
to help her say goodbye
to the fat girl
who is pretty on the inside
but unseen
unseen
people are so mean
she medicates
they fabricate
rules...
she must subjugate
the need
to drown her sorrows
to eat it all away
why is she alive
alive another day?

fat girl cries
bit fat tears
her big fat fears
grow though she shrinks
kilograms slip away
will it ever be OK?
will they love her for her mind?
will they ever be kind?
to the little girl inside
who tries to hide

fat girl cries
will you dry her eyes?

Sardula Javan Leopard

Hot and wet as heaven pion
Rainfall scattered warm clarion, dropped some their leaves
Referred to evergreen rainforest

Girl starred being black, smiled for dark spots with silver-grey eyes
Kingdom animalia said: “Where is our crown?”
Heavy logging answered

Tilar wana memereng tepining tegil
Sardula, death.....

Bull coexist without competitive
No sanctuary in poverty
Human driven doomsday
Panthera pardus melas and the girl cried

Away from riverbanks, swamps and clearings
Where is Hillsides, mountains, mesas, and sunlight penetration?

Say sorry to piphytic plants
No attached anymore to trunks and branches, trees felt down

Suck to obtain rainwater
Fallen trees create scary gaps
Said goodbye to Pleistocene refugia
The rest only empty liturgia

Tilar wana memereng tepining tegil
Sardula, death....

Melanistic leopards coaxed black panthers
The guardian solitary and territorial lover
Sang a love songs and passed away
Growls, snarls, meows and purrs

From dusk till dawn, defending territories from intruder clown
Farmlands weighing hundreds of kilograms bombs

Away from riverbanks, swamps and clearings
Where is hillsides, mountains, mesas, and sunlight penetration?

Tilar wana memereng tepining tegil
Sardula, death......

Fourteen pounds; that’s a bucket of lard
And losing that shouldn’t be so hard
It’s turkey, pud and let’s not quibble
A pretty frequent midnight nibble

It’s one whole stone of belly fat
Inflating what was firm and flat
Slimline tonic won’t do that
So did I eat an alley cat?

Six-point-three-five Kilograms
Twice what sometimes fills our prams
Were I pregnant, for my sins
Could be that I’m toting twins

But I’ve had lots of Christmases
And I’m sure when I tell you this
Six weeks watching what I eat
Will make my tummy nice and neat

The trifle’s gone, as is the meat
All the savoury, all the sweet
It’s time to watch my waist deflate
With smaller servings on my plate

And so I put away the gin
And tonic with no sugar in
For gin gives me an appetite
That makes me nibble late at night

So, fourteen pounds; that is my goal
A resolution in my soul
But, by the gin, before my eyes
A box - unopened - of mince pies!

How Come

They say my heart is weakening
Yet my love is increasing, how come?
And they do not answer it.

They say my eyesight is fading
Yet my vision is perfect, I ask how come?
And they do not answer it.

They say my voice is not audible
Yet they clearly understand what I mean, How come?
Again they keep mum!

They say body cannot lift more than ten kilograms of weight
Yet I can move a mountain with my thoughts, How come? and they show a blank face.

They say when I walk few miles, I am breathless
Yet my determination surpasses the bullet, How come? and they look towards sky.

They say my body action have limitations
However, my wisdom is boundless, how come?
And they close their eyes.

I know my body is growing and becoming weak
Yet my soul has full enthusiasm to drive me
to enable me to perform things beyond the body can think.

To See Her

So.
Time to see her.
At 2:48pm.

    Wake up (4:00).
    Constant strutting.
    Nails chewed.
    Overthinking.
    Stress-eating.
    2 hour shower.
    :):(:):(:):(:) (whatever that is)
    4 kilograms of Dad's cologne.
8 kilograms of Mom's hair cream.
    Overthinking.
    Should I cancel?
    Overthinking.
       Overthinking.
            Overthinking.
................
Arrived.
   I'm a grown man.
   I can do this.
   No biggie.

        Filled with fake confidence
        Walking around.
        Chest inflated.
        Humming a tune.
        Soldier-like posture.
 ................
See her in the distance.
  All.
  Hell.
  Breaks.
  Loose.
         Confidence dissipated.
         Legs stiff.
         Chest deflated.
         Nervous mutters to myself.
         Ragdoll posture.

She's in front of me.
Oh no
   Oh
       No
          Oh
             No
                Oh-

 But then...she smiles and...

              .Silence.Peace.Serenity.

My mind devoid of anything but her
            Wow he's ethereal.
Wow her smile could illuminate midnight.
Wow she makes any clothes gleam.
Wow her skin looks like silk.
            Wow her galaxy-like eyes.
            Wow her -
Wait is her mouth moving?
Uh oh
Uhhhh
 "Sorry, did you say something?"
