As the paleness of Fall and
Winter saunters toward us
As the sun moves across the sky
And the moon goes in course by night
God puts on a show in the celestial realm
He is at the helm
And in the clouds, He speaks aloud
He speaks aloud but not by trumpet blast
But with the host of the heavenly cast
He, in the quietly spoken sounds of the wind
Does not rescind, but coaxes us along
Guiding minds as He instructs each indiv’dl
With the vittles prepared in the atmosphere
God is truth (John 14:6)
God is Faithful and True (Revelation 19:11)
He is absolute verity
Unaltered by the tides of time (Numbers 23:19)
The Maker of all things
The Furnisher of all things in truth

His truth sure and pertinent
As He stretches it out then pulls back the curtain
To reveal all that is certain
My ways and thoughts are higher (Isaiah 55:9)
And I rule from My throne above the Earth
And see all its worth (Isaiah 40:22)
He doesn’t consult us for the truth
He is the emanation (Psalm 50:12)

The steely-eyed hombre stepped down from the stage that sultry afternoon.
He looked about with disdain, then swaggered to the Cripple Creek Saloon.
His hat lay low upon his brow and swung low was a pair of 44's on his hips.
He sported fancy duds and greeted a few loafers with a snarl on his lips.
Jeremiah Slade was the feller's name and gamblin' was his trade.
He sauntered up to the bar and stunned the bartend by orderin' a lemonade!
Then he strolled to a table in the back of the room with his back to the wall.
(This was his usual modus operandi just in case there was a free-fer-all!)
He announced, "Boy's, my name's Jeremiah Slade and gamblin' is my game;
Join me and ante up fer a round of poker, but, boys let's keep it tame!"
Three chumps took the bait and scurried fer Jeremiah's table to grab a chair!
He let the dudes win a game or so to assure that things were fair and square.
Now, unknown to the three suckers, Slade was a professional gyp!
The scoundrel was invited to leave umpteen towns west of the Mississip!
Slade had a few tricks up a sleeve that he soon entered into play.
Mysteriously, numerous aces appeared in his draws and were on display!
The trio got wise to his game and jammed three rods in Jeremiah's face!
He was quickly consigned to eternity fer playin' too many an ace!
Jeremiah was conveyed out of town, that no-good cunnin' knave,
And now lies at the foot of Mount Pisgah a-molderin' in his grave!

God saves and delivers us with His redemption-security
Along His safeguard around our souls throughout eternity
For our peace and serenity against infirmity or calamity
In walking through our faith’s triumphant certainty.
God saves and delivers us with His lovingkindness
Along His compassion of gracious gladness
For our eagerness to continue against weariness
In growing upon our faith’s steadfastness.
God saves and delivers us with His favour
Along His approval of mercy’s fervour
For our submission to Him against worldly endeavour
In showing our faith’s offerings with sweet-smelling savour.
God saves and delivers us with His instruction
Along His direction of heavenly destination
For our persistence to stay in His truth against deception
In doing His will along our faith’s determination.
God saves and delivers us with His empowerment
Along His command of mission-involvement
For our joyous service against discontentment
In labouring well through our faith’s ministry-engagement.
God saves and delivers us with His care
Along His comfort of compassionate welfare
For our fellowship that prospers by what we spiritually share
In continuing along our faith’s testimony against fear-wrought scare.
God saves and delivers us with His assurance
Along His Word of powerful performance
For our worship to be blessed by His radiance
In exalting Him through our faith’s vigilance.

He rode in to Santa Fe one summer day on a broken-down, sweaty nag.
All he owned was the clothes on his back and the Bible in his saddle bag.
He wore a suit of black, an old slouch hat, both so dusty and frayed.
He was an itinerant preacher man by the name of Jeremiah Slade.
Beneath his well-worn duds he wore a brace of pistols on his hips,
With the 'sinners' in towns he occasionally enjoyed a couple-a nips!
His District Superintendent took a very dim view of his associations,
Warnin' that it might lead him into very injudicious temptations!
He dismounted, hitched his hoss and brushed the dust from his suit,
And strolled to Clancy's Saloon, well-known as a house of ill-repute!
He sauntered up to the bar and pointed to a jug of whiskey on the shelf,
Sayin', "Bartend, hand me that bottle. I'll pour three-fingers fer myself!"
He leaned with his back to the bar surveyin' the riotous scene before him.
The debauchery he viewed indicated reapin' souls looked mighty grim,
But he drawed his guns and hammered the butts on the bar fer attention!
"By Gawd!" he thundered, "I intend to clean up this place is my intention!"
With that the dancin', brawlin' and gamblin' came to an abrupt cease!
"Now, I want y'all to find Jesus and give each other the kiss of peace!"
Forty-two souls searched and found Him that day in Clancy's Saloon!
He praised the Lord, sayin', "That's a purty good haul and it ain't even noon!"
The new saints were shoutin' "Hallelujah!" and he roared, "Now hold on there!
I remind y'all I don't preach fer nothin' and if'n y'all would care to share,
I'll pass the hat and as Jesus said, ''Tis better to give than to receive!"
He gave some to the bartend, sayin' "Set 'em up!" With that he took his leave!

Faith of mine fervently clings to the Lord midst human frailty

Here am I heralding that there’s hope in turning from hostility…
Immune to the cycle of people’s existence marked with infirmity
Justice I yearn to behold in advocating honesty of triumphant joviality
Kindness shown to everyone, not just to pets like doggie and kitty
Love for each other, I hail, to reign along enjoyment of pardon’s liberty…
Mismanagement of resources midst selfishness mars the Creator’s majesty
Now, I beseech functional citizens to exercise nurture against notoriety
Opening themselves for constructive changes with readiness-opportunity
Paradigm shift toward transformation for next generation’s posterity…
Quitting irresponsibility and abuse for granted dominion with role’s quality
Realize, recognize and resolve problems along God’s governing renewability
Sensibility with sensitivity I continue to seek from civilizations in their sobriety
Thankful for grace of the Life-Giver Who upholds earth in His tenacity…
Understanding Earth’s status vis-à-vis inhabitants’ stature of uncertainty
Virtuous heart vows to pray for redemption, repentance and revival’s vitality
Wishing to win against waywardness and wickedness, while watchfully witty
‘Xercising optimism along trust in the Lord for people’s grievous 'xtremity
Yearning for “O earth, hear the word of the LORD”* to become divinely yeasty
Zooming toward New Heaven and New Earth with holy zeal, spiritually zesty.

The Lord lifts us up when things get rough
The Lord lifts us up when times get tough
The Lord lifts us up when we are down
and feel we have been trodden upon
The Lord lifts us up the one we can truly always rely on
The Lord lifts us up whatever is thrown our way
The Lord lifts us up each and every day
The Lord lifts us up we just have to give him a call
The Lord lifts us up from any situation at all.
Thank you Lord for your promises of restoration
and that when people try to make us fall thank you for your promise that you will raise
us up, no matter how many times they treat us like dirt you always lift us back up, Thank
you that I am free once again and that I will be raised up and restored. you carried me through the dark tunnel and got me out the other side physicaly unharmed. Amen.

Fortifying my faith for fruit-fulfilment faithfully
Gearing, guiding, gladdening me by His grace
Helping me well by His handling expertise
Invigorating me against weariness-pangs
Jubilant am I in my spiritual journey.

Doubt and Fear paralyzes action
What God wants for each of us is to be happy with him in Heaven
He uses the world to shape us and give us qualities that will help us get there untainted by sin
“Indeed like clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand . . .” (Jeremiah 18:6)
Sometimes that means allowing us to undergo trials that cleanse and strengthen us
Welcome suffering
Some virtues, qualities or merits can only be acquired through hardship
Avoiding it will cause you to miss out on experiences God wants you to have
While they may be uncomfortable
God would remove them at once if they were not good for your soul
Live in the present
Many of tomorrow’s troubles exist only in our minds
Prove your trust in God by refusing or rejecting to think
what might happen
Deal with what is happening
Refuse or say no to worry
“Can any of you worrying add a single moment to your life-span (natural life or lifetime)?” (Mathew 6:27).
Accept aid
Don’t let fear blind you to the help God sends
Be open to assistance from other people
Listen to his advice that comes through Church (listen to homily)
Spend time in prayer
Only then will you have the courage to look at suffering simply as a test you are to pass with God’s help
“…I have loved thee with an everlasting love:
therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”*
With such compassion-filled assertion,
the Supreme Lover assured me His unconditional love
along His grace, mercy, forgiveness and peace
despite of who I was: tenaciously stubborn and self-willed
midst my human nature’s vanities, flaws, imperfections
even though by divine perspective, I was utterly worthless.
“How unfathomable” was my reaction
Marked by vehement refusal...
…Making the story incomplete.
“…I have loved thee with an everlasting love:
therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
Again, such truth reverberated---reaching my heart
Expressed by the sovereign Source and Author of love
With His goodness, provisions and wisdom
Subduing my self-righteousness, arrogance, loftiness
Vanquishing my skepticism, doubts, apprehensions
Conquering my sinfulness, guilt, shame…
“How sacrificing” was my response...
Moved by faith He has granted,
I trusted Him – my Savior…
...Making the love story complete!
*Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.
