Joe Dimino

You can tell who writes from the heart -- there is a living quality to those works transcending mere Intellectualism.

He walks with his heart on his sleeve,
so us poets can find reprieve
He is always a verse-maker with creative flair
and his mind works like a sieve
Joe is a souper who is no duper he's real,
as real as the heartfelt poems he weaves.
Dimino I quote says, " In fact all of love,
cannot fit on a shelf nor a continent in itself.
His soul is so grand that it soars,
like a kite in full height, ...like a prayer.
Joe is a string of pearls lit up by the dazzle of his stay,
when he phrases his stories just right,
he brings forth so much light.

Premium Member An Existential Curiosity

Anti-intellectualism may breed anti-curiosity.
Harsh reality can frustrate existential sternness.
They tied backlash against "mere" curiosity.
Yet, every human behavior has a purpose.

Conveying a full breakdown of all the key sights.
Tangling, multiplying tendrils sepia from white.
My character has changed significantly already.
Rhododendron in blooming; existentialist edgy

The moon pendulum is at its most vulnerable.
Strong, direct sunlight makes vivacity visible.
Recognizing oneself in the gaze of the Other.
Transtemporal throws ages in a shadow cover.

Romance, paraphyllium, and aurora snow,
harvest moon, opaline luster, and coral glow.
Eurasian plant calyxes with spicate bloom.
Five stars in the sky; a red glow in the gloom.

Wake up, mystery, and join me on Mars.
Latte, belt out a song that heals my scars.
Opal in black, a ruby for the crown gem,
Is that thunder? You infer my heart hem.

Is this a dream, upon a shimmering silver sky?
Antsy flow, a phantasmagoria of my avow mind.
Chimes in Venice, a piercing stare into my eye,
as though we've always been close, my kind.

Sparkle up the universe and unveil thyself.
Moon wake, I'm steering my rise from a shelf.
Who were we if not to serve the whole world?
How do we fathom where we'll be stirred?

The darkness shrouded the vision of man.
Scattering flies at dawn since they had begun.
We face the share of the world with blackness.
Having to push and shove away the darkness.

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Loving Me

September 7 Scripture Meditations Based on Malachi 1-4

Key Verse – Malachi 1:2 I have loved you, saith the LORD…

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR LOVING ME

Thank You for loving me even though I’m impoverished in sinfulness
Because of my carnal stubbornness…
I repent from naughtiness’ haughtiness
As You uphold me by Your gentle kindness.

Thank You for loving me even though I’m afflicted with iniquity
Because of my idolatrous infirmity…
I repent from vanity’s futility
As You cleanse me by Your sanctifying purity.

Thank You for loving me even though I’m unfaithful against standards
Because of my complacent attitude not good for stewards…
I repent from slothfulness’ regards
As You pull me to improve by Your training safeguards.

Thank You for loving me even though I’m inconsistent in serving
Because of my worldly involving…
I repent from selfishness’ cleaving
As You restrain me by Your gracious driving.

Thank You for loving me even though I’m unsuccessful in discipleship
Because of my lack of wholehearted followership…
I repent from hypocrisy’s intervention during worship
As You deal with me by Your guiding partnership.

Thank You for loving me even though I’m disobedient to holy vision
Because of my faithless decision…
I repent from unbelief’s malfunction
As You transform me by Your working perfection.

Thank You for loving me even though I’m tempted toward humanism
Because of my proud grip for intellectualism…
I repent from revival’s pessimism
As You teach me by Your biblical theism.

A classical poet, indeed, you are not.
An intellectual poet, spare me the lot!!

Fingers that knew well, humanity’s heart .
Poetry that freed me from, dead stoic art .

Freedom to be, who we are was your song.
“Since feeling is first,”I do hum, all day long!

Intellectualism, bores this poet to tears!
Lying with my love on summer’s grass my heart cheers.

I shall love you, e.e, Cummings, till my final breath.
Your poetry, I will value and love until the day of my death.

You gave me the ultimate freedom to really be me,
I think of you always when writing good poetry.

Your sensuous lines…..“Since feeling is first,”
Allowed me to surpass intellectuality, it’s life that I thirst!”

My love and respect,

Dogma Nation Overcome

Now is the Aquarian Age and its predictable backlash
while America scares the hell into us.
Where culture wars of identity and recrimination
have become silos of information isolation.
Where critical thought and intellectualism
is targeted for finger pointing and 'woke' blaming.
They besmirch compassion under the rubric 'socialism'.
As though democratic socialism is, or has ever been, a bad thing?
Ask your Grandmother if she appreciates her pension?
Do you drive on roads and highways? Obey stop signs?
The inarticulate MAGA twenty first century pledge of allegiance
is fealty to a neo-fascism of religious and race intolerance.
That empowered imperial colonialism and historic xenophobia.
Superiority manifest by God determined righteousness.
Ancient Abrahamic systems that privileged the elite.
Requiring fealty of the conditioned masses
by willing submission, called faith.

Separation of religion and state is a constitutional bulwark.
That is by credence and convention historically obscured.
The prayer breakfast obligatory for success.
'In God we Trust' is stamped on every bag of donor funds
that lobby the integrity of statespersons and politicians.
This is the history of our humanity; this is what we face,
this is what we are up against, these are the powers manifest.
And now we are in a time of critical potential.
Where idealism confronts ignorance
administered by hate, and unexamined faith.
Where jingoism can be 'replaced' by compassionate humanism.
Liberating us from media forged manacles of corporate, state,
or religious indoctrination that still enforce their control.
We rise defiant throughout the world to the Age of Aquarius.
Articulate, and provocative.
Inspired by ideals of Global Unity,
and the 2.0 of humanity.

"No one stands in the same stream twice"

It's a lofty thought and the phrasing is nice
But we often lose the rest of the quote
Oh, we know the water's not quite the same
But then we get lazy and miss the boat...

Cause the one in the water is changing, too

Water has life, gives life, takes life
And we can't take a step without it
But what happens to us when we step in it?
It's a baptism contemplated by few, I think

Water under the bridge is where it should be
But over the dam is not part of the plan
To confuse the two is something we do
But controlling it's not the province of man

The water will do what it's meant to do
Whether brown, or green, or crystalline blue
Sometimes when it's deep it almost looks black
And when it gets angry we've learned to stay back

Clear water's the type that looks so inviting
We boil it and spoil it and use it for fighting
We tame it as much as we've power to do
But water will seek its own level it's true

We live on it and in it but when the day's through
We can't live without it or we're what is through

---------------------------------------------------

Was Athena responsible for contemplative thought?
Or just born in a place where it was carefully taught?
So many deep thinkers we revere to this day
And thoughts we still think about come into play

I think it not likely an accident there
Where gods and kings got in each other's hair
Classicists oft give way to classism
Elite thought the way of elitists and schism

It's all Greek to me and it was to them, too
But the water that changes men came from a Jew
Where olives again played a pivotal part
His words intended to cause thought from the heart

The water he used and the water he sought
Were both meant to cause us all deeper thought
And the water he used from the head to the feet
Provides us a cleansing, a comfort complete

With water that lives in all those who will think
With their heart as well as with what they might drink
It's water that cleanses heart, head, and feet
Under what's built between us, a bridge where they meet

Creating Suffering
After love

Suffering loves me
I don’t need its life in mine
Love, dear Love give me love

‘He can’t hear you.’ Satan said.
‘I don’t want suffering.’ I answered.
‘That’s right. Then?’ Replied Satan.
‘Something good.’ I said it to Satan.

‘There is a plan for you.’ Said Satan.
‘Is the path? Is the Path?’ I asked.
‘That is a good choice, but…’ He said.
‘But?’ I asked.
‘This is a higher and so long way…’ Satan Said.
‘What is that??’ I asked Satan.
‘Intellectualism.’ Said Master Satan.
‘Stay with me, there are no dead human feelings.’ Said Satan.
‘Only a high-tech mind’s life in all parts of the intellectual life.
Everything, everything, and in poetry, philosophy, and theology…
                                                                                            What you like.’

                                                                                                    Said Satan

‘I want this plan.’ I answered.
‘Already in your mind.’ He answered.

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Directing My Paths

June 10 Scripture Meditations Based on Proverbs 3

Key Verse – Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR DIRECTING MY PATHS

Thank You for directing my paths toward righteousness’ fruitfulness
Against sinfulness and wickedness
Despite rebelliousness as well as stubbornness
Enabling me to forsake selfishness with Your holiness.

Thank You for directing my paths toward salvation’s favour
Against hell-torture and tormenting fire’s endeavour
Despite religiosity as well as humanism’s savour
Enabling me to walk along Your heavenly avenue with spiritual fervour.

Thank You for directing my paths toward understanding’s grace
Against confusion and doubt’s trace
Despite intellectualism as well as professionalism’s brace
Enabling me to serve You with Your goodness’ praise.

Thank You for directing my paths toward blessings’ delight
Against departure and escape from chastisements’ sight
Despite frustration as well as losses’ plight
Enabling me to experience Your peace around Your guiding light.

Thank You for directing my paths toward honour’s integrity
Against shame and embarrassment caused by iniquity
Despite awfulness as well as unpleasantness of pride’s vanity
Enabling me to humble down before Your authority.

Thank You for directing my paths toward plenteousness’ increase
Against scarcity and poverty with advancing grease
Despite crises as well as nothingness full of void-crease
Enabling me to trust Your Word that fully frees.

Black joy vs the world

They hate us not because we’re bad but because we are everything they cannot be
Because while they stew in their own misery
Formed from their own jealousy
We live life fully
Because that’s the beauty of Black people
We create joy where joy has been locked out

Then try to hide it through false superiority
Whilst trying to convince the world and themselves
That being black equaled inferiority
Because if black people were truly inferior there’d be no need to work this hard to suppress us

Because while they drown in the rain
We dance in it
We take each rain drop
To feed the earth that breeds life
That brings joy into our existence
Just like black people
We paint the blue back into the sky
We make the flowers bloom just through our smiles
The trees come to life as soon as it feels our presence
We are the love the earth craves
So when we give it
It's gives gratitude through elemental beauty

They seethe in anger
Their spirits Soaked in venom
Jealous
That nature is on our side
How it enhances our beauty
But dies in the presence of their hate
They hate not having control of the earth
And it's reaction to their existence

Because their egos can't handle the thought
Of being lesser than a black person
To which they use their tears
To poison the ground
The ignorant feed of
To distort their image
Of who is the real villain

But that's what happens when you build a system
Funded by racism
That has been around longer than intellectualism

surrender

when everything everywhere
whispered in irresistible languages

hey you there
stop resisting

i began to surrender
was flowing free

burnt as bright sun
starlike spent explosive fuel
stretching
wings flapping

toward the unknowable
inside

experimented with ditching
body as identification
name as identification
personal history as identification

faded off
mad word searching
explaining justifying
reiterating too much information

i loosened my squeeze grip
on intellectualism
tell-me-how-to-be spiritual books
whatever the famous someone
said once then got bronzed over

i surrendered to universal unity
where i lavishly decorated
my living changing dream
with my own snap choices
what i wanted

i was flowing with fresh
synergetic synthesis

returned outside to pedestrian streets
where angelics mixed in
wore transparent disguises

i began to flow
forgiveness out and in

skipped a light fandango
splashing puddles was
answer to inclement weather

i set wooden faces
to smiling after
i switched my own

i rolled on through
perceived stop signs
of the everlasting no

erased all my karma with
nownownow
wonwonwon

made myself
stock still

experienced
yes yes yes

relaxed awareness

breathed
emptiness

opened all my hands
