Tea Tree Shampoo and the Ocean Breeze

tea tree shampoo and the ocean breeze
loving me some you and i am down on my knees

refreshing is the effervescence of the sunny scene
you by my side loving me is what life does now mean

walking down the sand and toward the renovated pier
you are the shelter from all storms and the relief from every fear

if love is a vacation, then you are my favorite mode of transportation
if love is the ultimate interchange, then you are the Bridge of Entrance to my Most Amazing Transformation

tea tree shampoo and the ocean breeze
loving me some you and i am down on my knees

i want to travel the roads of life with nobody else
for with you, Miss Yin, the frozenness of My Yang now finally melts

now i wanna say thank you with a kiss and a bit of tongue
the gentle mischief within your reciprocity has me wonderfully high strung

if love is a destination, then you would be an Indefinite Forever Home
if love is Medicinal Truth, then you are The Best Dose of Heaven to Roam

Premium Member The Smiling Doll-Ld

A dainty smile flashed on the lively face
of the doll my daughter had, she loved the most,
and she could hear her speak while in embrace.
This is what the smiling doll said before getting lost.

I am utterly amazed when I look around me,
while with you on the road I often go out,
angry faces of high strung rushing people I see,
without any rhyme or reason they shout.

Faces contorted in the grip of consternation,
defined by the contours of gloomy mask.
They never try to give you the feeling of elation,
for them to be happy seems a difficult task.

When the stony faces of these people I view,
the glint of joy I find in the eyes of none.
A confusing thought upsets and pains me, I ask you,
where in your world all the smiles have gone.

One day I’ll go away to a fairyland distant,
you may miss me, but won’t be able to track.
If you can make people smile in an instant,
in your longing arms I’ll love to come back.

Running Out

Written September 14, 2011

Is this how I should feel at times like these
Facing crossroads, not ease
RC running miles on plastic tires
And then batteries run dry

Here I lie on a bed of signal fires
Why didn't you stop before the sign
Frozen in time like the watch you didn't wind
I'm bound by thoughts that bind

Am I the dusty classic
Getting shelved in the highest bin
Am I the friend whose forgotten time
Time and again

Is this the way a boy feels
When he's personified again
Is this the way I should feel
Full of regret and gin

Here I lie on a bed of signal fires
Why didn't you stop before the sign?
Frozen in time like the watch you didn't wind
I'm bound by enemies that bind

The days they run on and on
They seem to have no end
I guess that's how it goes
When you're nervous and frozen

Maybe I should have fought the bout
Cause now its as if time is running out
Is this how time is meant to run
So sharp and so high strung

Here I lie on a bed of signal fires
Why didn't you stop before the sign
Stop before the sign
The sign the sign the sign

*Being Conned*
Written: by “Miracle Man”
7/16/2018

My entire life I’ve considered myself high strung,
So I’m weary of people who treat me as if dung.

Some people borrow money without repay intent,
Then ask “can I work it out” once it’s been spent.

They look at me and see how I’ve been blessed,
And wanting a slice of my pie they become my pest.

A truism, “A fool and his money are soon parted”
Many times I’ve paid a price for having been bighearted.

I lend and repayment time bears attached strings,
Foolish people lend money so others can do foolish things.

I help the downtrodden sometimes questioning why?
While knowing, “There but For the Grace of God, Go I”

Premium Member The Confrontation

I shiver and crackle with nervousness
As others frolic, I hide into myself,
Scared of what might happen
Yet excited of the other possibility.

Have you seen her yet? Someone asks.
Adding to my high-strung nervousness.
Dipped into a daunting sense of discomfort
I hope she does not come.
Maybe I can avoid this confrontation.

I have been thinking of this off and on
for four years, since she betrayed me.
Do I want to patch things up?
Haven’t things been better without her?
She is my first cousin though.

I am plunging myself into fire,
into water, into sand into fire.
Over and over my imagination
brings up scenario after scenario
of what might, can, could, will happen.

My cousin comes running right up to me.
I have missed you so much! She screams.
She throws her arms around me and hugs me.
All is forgotten and forgiven.

Flame Throwing

Each morning we’d sweep up words,
and shove them under rugs,
or coffee tables.
Some words escaped to the garden,
where they poisoned the peach tree.

Paint on shell-shocked walls blistered,
the cat became so high-strung.
that it hid under a neighbor's roof
and had quite forgot how to stalk birds.

We confided to a priest,
who denounced adultery and lust,
while openly scratching his ball-sack.

When our son came home from university,
we lied brightly to his questioning face,
hiding our eyes behind court documents.

Eventually, exhausted,
we slept peacefully in each other’s arms,
joined forever,
by three thousand miles of distance.

Cats and dogs are notorious for not getting along
You've heard the term, “fighting like cats and dogs”
Well our gorgeous female golden retriever, Annie
And our tomcat Curtis are the best of friends
While Zoe, our sweet wee female cat
Is constantly being harassed by these other two guys
I can understand Annie having a problem with Zoe
Both being high strung female types
With Curtis, it seems like a male dominance thingy
Zoe is the SWEETEST!
ALL she wants is to loved
She rolls over waiting for me to rub her belly
Or scratch behind her ears
What an absolutely adorable loyal friend!

We must then think;
How to get away from that which
sucks up our attention and
diverts concentration of our minds.

We need be…

Those are the tools we must use,
to change this negative energy;
And assert the power

If not; In the interim,
shall we hold our breath;

While our lives are neglected?
If there be no change to this status quo
There will continue to be important
task unfinished, and the chaos of
” No dots being connected”.
