Apollo's Crown

Lush green verdant hills of peace
beneath lavender skies of
linen and oleander gentle pink
inside my seaside windy garden nook
a gift for Pythia, high priestess of Greece
Flower of Olympian Gods
growing here both wild and free
symbol of hope you were Apollo's choice
as he weaved you in a crown for Daphne
she turned into a laurel tree with roots
Infant stem of glaucous bloom
flower of enlightenment
and hope, come fill my haven with sweet bless
enwrap me with your oleander charms
avail me to your heady toxicant
Oh bud of hallucinate
matter, how fatal you are
evergreen shrub of median highways
stay with me until the mid autumn comes
tough and vigorous as you are dear shoot

you are a potent flower,
deserving respect and truth.

Me

What am I doing?,
the strength of a real poet is to speak truth through words but most words I cannot pronounce,
I struggle to recite my poems out loud,
i realise i have misspelt as I proceed to read so i stop  to correct my writings but by then my words have already lost its magic,
I do not know whether to end with a full stop or comma so i keep writing placing punctuations as I please, one blunder after the other,
who cares anyways, they will all go to waste.
I haven't picked up phone to write in days,
I blame it on a hopeless presence but those are all excuses,
it isn't writers block because the ideas don't cease to come,
I'm afraid all my plans are just mere micro naps,
i say i am wide awake and focused but as for my future i fear i hallucinate.
i tell myself i will not live like this forever, they will all see me, notice me,
i saw a friend today and it reminded me how much my life is a waste and i might do the world a favour and leave in a haste,
and of death I am not scared, I am more frightened that I shall be a living dead,
my heart beating in a way it does not deserve to,
walking amongst the living like one of them, eating and breathing,
I do not deserve this luxuries,if they do not see me,
if they do not worship me.
I refused to be put in a box and as for this poem there is no form,
receive it as you please and let it speak to you,
 let it flow through you,
I do not desire you sympathy,
do not support because you believe you know what I have been through,
this is not a cry for help but a warning,
I am here to learn and observe ,
so when its time for the game there is no denying my checkmate.

a cog in the wheel and a log on the fire

of dreams I hallucinate unless the days

are visions of sleepless delusions of truth

its real and surreal when nights close in

I used to be a knight in shining armour

kissing the princess after conquests won

life matured and dreams changed their way

I became chipped wood shaved into pieces

abrasions of a sculpture unfit for purpose

a brigade of chainsaws stunted my growth

the forester ruled relentlessly and debrided

what was left of saplings and torn offshoots

roots failed to spring up from the underworld

weeds’ thorns cut deep into vulnerable skin

and festering wounds oozed poison at will

one day however a creek crept up from below

viscous tears gave me a springboard from arrest

I plunged in slow motion to follow the stream

when I reached the ocean I feared to submerge

too vicious were tides and the surf sucked me in

drowned me but spat me out ‘return to sender’

still dreaming I built a beach hut by a rock pool

drift wood sea shells and white flag of surrender

octopus’ arms released me to become a dolphin

no more do I have to save the world on my own

because a small marine fairy liked my abode

fixed my anchor with love passion and kindness

the sand quakes and spray caresses our bodies

embraces night terrors adopts them as friends

for honest companions can weather the storm

complete silence as the orchestra had finished the symphony

and final applause and salutes had brought down the curtain

but the director still staged tunes in the theatre of her mind

the cembalo envied the drums and the heartbeat got faster

as she mastered the triangle and trumpeted a simple refrain

sadly she had become stone deaf but was able to hallucinate

‘my truth my perception distorted reality but vigor nevertheless’

she had not left the stage when her cognition was at its best

now rather demented she managed to see clearly the trap door

bestowed by old age and the dubious benefits of longevity

lucidity had become feeble and fading enlightenment a curse

a purveyor of unwanted surrender and distractor from death

yet when her drapes drew closer she tore off her masked Self

sang revolutions pulled the trigger and went out with a bang

Talk About Girls

Let's talk about girls
And their dainty spells.
Let's talk about them
Like we talk of our priceless gem.
Let's talk about the damsel-
Whose heart was our lone cell.

We will talk up in our dorm
and their subject our moment's rum
Getting our lungs filled with love's fantasies
Basking in the aura of feminine charm
Every words said a healing balm.

Let's talk about girls
And their undaunted love
Let's talk about beauty
Entwined in masculine duty.

Let's talk about the girl
As we hallucinate of our wedding bell.
Talk of how she makes you smile
And how she drives you nut for a while

We are young and prime
A talk about her isn't a crime.
When the day seems tense
And you seems to have lost some sense
Talk about the girl you love
Whose arm is your resting place.

Let's talk about girls
Her dark hair and sparkling teeth
The smoothness of her skin-
And the dimple up her chin.

Talk, before someone else does
Implore this moment to her or through the door she goes.
Tell us of how to love you fall
And how on bended knees you proposed it all.

Talk about girls
Talk about the love she bore.
Talk about girls,
Talk about her love the more and more.

Premium Member The Great Witches Bake Off

The Great Witches Bake Off is here again
Bakes so weird some have no name.
So fierce it was to be the winner,
The prize is fame, on Lucifer's underworld twitter.
Laughing and cackling but alert and suspicious
Each convinced their bake, unique and delicious.

Erin was making a blood drizzle cake
Three pints of pigs blood is what it would take.
Weevils were left in that thrived in the flour
Add three rancid eggs for a flesh rotting aroma.
Sprinkles of gun powder to help make it rise
But don't breath it in for your eyes would triple in size.

Val was attempting bubble and squeak pie
Every mouse could be heard, that is no lie.
A bubble collection of freezed dried frog spawn
Mix in some feathers from a unwilling white swan.
A few bunches of hemlock, carrots, turnips and greens
The poison so hot, you could hear screams from your spleen.

Wilma was busy stuffing a dozen bat heads,
With slivers of blood veins torn into threads.
Bat crumble with a topping of air fried bat legs,
Which gives a harsh crunch and a gross looking sealed edge.
Served with a dollop of deadly nightshade ice-cream
So potent you would hallucinate kindness in dreams.

Fairy cakes were made by cousin Nell,
Who was expelled when she was caught casting a spell.
The wings of dead fairies placed on top of her bakes,
Escaped out the window exposing her cheating mistake.
She cursed, swore revenge as she was escorted out
A witch trial there be, there be no doubt.

Who did win? who claimed the prize?
It was Maggie the cat with her eye-spy-berry surprise.
For Frankie Stein Horner had hid in a dark corner,
As Maggies assistant and back stabbing informer.
Their deal was a lifetime of pies, for that was his dream
As Maggie quietly purred whilst licking her got cream.

Remains

You're just a ghost
But your voice still haunts me the most
You made my heart race
with feelings i can't replace
I stand face to face
with your ghost I hallucinate

I miss your touch
Your hands
Your face
I miss your warmth
Your feelings
I can't replace
you were my light
But...
You left without a fight
You fade into night
now I'm never alright

You're just a ghost
But your voice still haunts me the most
I reach for you, but you fade again
Why am I the one who remains

You flicker away
a smoldering flame
You pass me like time
Stealing my rhyme
losing rhythm
losing touch
missing the way
you made me rush

Why did you leave when I still stayed
Why did you heal what you couldn't save
Why do I beg for a ghost that won’t stay
Why am I the one who remains
Why
why
why
I lost myself to time
Like loving you was a crime

You're just a ghost
But your voice still haunts me the most
I reach for you, but you fade again
Why am I the one who remains

I got used to your love
But you're a distant star
high above
You lit rooms I knew well
And darkened the rooms I felt
You numbed my pain
You cleared the rain
But now...
 I can't contain

Subtle actions to keep your light
A kiss, a cuddle, those gentle nights
Vivid dreams where we don't fight
But you can't see it
But it's still there
And it hurts, drowns me in fear
Numb from the fact
That you're not here

Why must I suffer
WHY must I hurt
Why must I be dragged through dirt

You lit my world
not once but twice
Just another glance will suffice
It's not your fault
Would echo in my mind
Like the subtle thoughts
I just can't find

You make me yearn
You make me ache
Like an echo in a cave
But
You're the ghost I just can't save

Like a worn light flickers out
You're the ghost I can't live without
Like your subtle shadow quiets my name
Your echoing voice makes me feel its name

You're just a ghost
But your voice still haunts me the most
I reach for you, but you fade again
Why am I the one who remains

You left a mark
A fallen shade
All you left...
Was the regret you made

Land of the Lost

Time in time out
What's it all about

Got no freedom
Drunk on rum

Russian roulette full of fun
Empty barrel, trigger gun

Bust a cop
Prison mob

Modern warfare
Lord's prayer

Life's a steal
Keep it real

Living will
patients bill

File for divorce
Marriage course

False image
True discourage

Hating phase
Finger peace trace

Murder case
Birthplace

Where's my justice
Religion practice

Body full of lies
the truth dies

Overdrive
Sex thrive

Driver licenses
Fatal expense

Public enemy
Hermit disease

Auspice unity
Combined greedy

Foot prints
Heart dent

Failure to communicate
Achieve to hallucinate

Judged by hypocrite
3 seconds, 3000 kilobits

Every minute matters
For jugglers and gamblers

Every life has a cost

My ex lover

My love
Over the past, the joy glows in my heart
Replaying your smile and our rough path before today
I may be on the end of this road but I know the fear to loose you is real
My death of love shows in my visual insane episodes
I hallucinate and wish you are here
But I moved on and found my love just as you did as well
Why does it hurt to let you go?
Why does it matter that your soft spoken voice still rings in my ears?
Why did I suffer this heartache to imagine your marriage ?
Why does it matter that you loved me yet I could witness your cruel hate for me?
Why does love hurt more than knowing someone hates you?
I stand today not sure if I should kiss you again if we meet
But I know I got lips waiting to welcome me with pure love
If I could relive: yes I would choose you despite your lies
If I could give you another chance I would do so because of my pure love for you
Yet I know you will always love my failures best and hate my success
Should I ask: let me feel your warmth of heart for your lips spell deceit and lies
Should I ask for your arms to engulf me, let me generate your heart to feel my kindness of love and pure purity.
Today I remember many months of memories between us
Yes even those that you abondoned me while in crisis just to warm another's bed
Indeed God helps us all yet we human value blood more than soul ties.
My lady am out of words for your soul sank me into depression
My body shivers in your imagination of lost love between us
Today I tell, but my answer is still the same
Am about to become successful
You ask me about my breakthrough
But soon my success story you will gossip about it as a hobby in your family
I do not wish to say more but let me say this
It's love that made me feel rejected
yet it was hate that made me believe in the church believes and traditions
Christ is my redeemer for His sacrifice is well known
Please I say my good bye in your presence to see you well for yor listed ways are those of hyena
I will glow but in God's glow not of your love again

Sometimes I black out and hallucinate
I see things that aren’t there
I think I hear voices of angels
I operate in low vibrations and fear
I have PTSD from the military
And I dread the color red
My heart races in crowded spaces
And I can’t remember things I’ve said
I have episodes of insomnia
And long hospital stays
I see a therapist to talk about my problems
And then I go missing for days
Then all of a sudden, I’m normal again
And go years without incident
I become happy again
And live life like it’s meant
I go off my meds
I think I’m in the clear
Then out of the blue
I’m tormented by despair and fear
The blurred lines between reality and dreams disappear
I am late to work again
Because I’m paranoid and can’t sleep
The melatonin isn’t working
I think I’m being chased in my dreams
Here we go again in the psyche ward
And the treatment is twice as rough
The ebb and flow of mental illness
Takes a toll and enough is enough
